Xenia smiled happily, letting the awkwardness wash off in her demeanor. "That'd be great." She giggled and fiddled with her hair as they walked. "I don't believe all Yokai are bad at all. My parents just grew up with all the stories they throw around where we live. Our country used to be a major battleground for territorial Yokai so there's so many horror stories about them everywhere there. They've only had bad experiences, they just need to trust in the really nice Yokai." She smiled to Theodore again. "Like you." Kiera nodded as she carefully took his hand and concentrated before they were gone like they were never even there in the first place. Kiera and Yuji appeared in what looked to be an underground lab with cramped halls and metal grails for flooring. Without even getting a chance to get their bearings they instantly were faced with a younger version of the cocky scientist walking swiftly through the cramped walkspace like he was a child on christmas. He still wore the same lab coat, however his immaturity shone through his obvious inexperience. "No one will be able to hear us or see us." Kiera informed her father. "Nor touch us. We watch the sequence for as long as it will let us. Well.. after all.. time pretty much has a personality of its own." She nodded as she followed after the man closely. He led them to an electronically opened door which he swiped with his keycard and he creeped into the room quietly and switched on the light with a remote. As Kiera and Yuji filtered inside it became clear to see that this was where he was keeping Amelie at the time. They were faced with a glass looking wall and on the other side was a younger, beaten up version of Amelie chained down to a metal chair in the centre of a dimly lit metal room. "Good morning my dear~" The scientist chimed as he slid his hand across the glass panel and a door opened in front of him. The stench that rained out of the room was putrid, like Amelie's body was going through a level of decomposure. "How are we this morning?" The scientist prodded Amelie's cheek with his pen as she hung loosely in her binds. "Please... I'll do anything..." The scientist giggled. "Oh, then you'll carry on helping me with these experiments? How kind of you dear!" Amelie let out a feeble sob as she seemed to sink deeper into her chair helplessly. Kiera surprisingly found this difficult to watch as it was, and this was only the start.

*Yuji made a few grunts but tried to stay quiet and not judge just yet. Ameile on the other hand was cute for being all beaten up, he would admit that. He younger form was exacly about how he pictured it though... well okay he could cheat on that picture in his head because he saw her younger form once before, but that was besides the point. He looked to keria, "this is going to be difficult but worth it. Thankyou keria." he then watched further...

Kiera nodded as she looked back to the scene, watching the man take down a few notes on his clipboard, every now and then moving Amelie's head from side to side to check her eyes and skin. "Third day in containment... no obvious signs of a shift in personality.." He tilted his head slightly. "However some signs of manic depression.." "Why are you doing this...?" Amelie croaked before coughing violently. The scientist smiled. "OH it's for the best poppet. My research demands it. I need to see the limits of my abilities." He nodded to herself as Amelie continued to sob. "Now then!" The scientist put his clipboard down in the main room and walked back into Amelie's cell with a blacked out jar. "Ready for the next experiment?" Amelie let her head hang loosely in front of her as her greasy ashen hair swept over her face and let out a little whine. "Please just let it end..." The scientist twisted open the jar and as it popped he giggled delightedly. "Can you tell me what it feels like to have something just stuck in your mind?" He creeped to her other side. "It scuttles around there, you know? Drives you insane." He reached into the jar and pulled out what looked to be a centipede. Kiera watched agonisingly as the scientist tipped Amelie's head to the side and let the centipede scurry into Amelie's left ear and disappear completely. That was when the screaming started. The ghoulish shriek of a person who's lost their faith in everything they believed to be true. "MAKE IT STOP MAKE IT STOP!" Kiera winced listening to the blood curdling screams of her mother and felt the most sympathy for the woman she'd felt in her life. "This seems more like torture. Not an experiment." Kiera looked to the floor, too ashamed to watch her mother squirm. "Amelie was kept in here for months, wasn't she?" She looked to her father sadly. "This is only the start of what she went through to change into the person she is."

Yuji nodded, "I wish to watch all the important parts like this... I want to see it all... no matter how horrifying." He stepped closer, his eye already twitching to the nasty thing he had just seen. Questions in his head however... his limits? Limits as to what? What exactly was he testing here... and even more so, why Amelie of all people? The bug... it was a parasite, was it still inside her head to this day? He wondered, but new answers would come in the time. He just realized now that he need to watch each detail ever so closer.

The screaming suddenly faded as Yuji and Kiera were fast forwarded into another version of Amelie, still confined in her cell and under chains, however this time the room was battered with scratches, her hair was all but singed off, all of her fingernails were ripped off, her exposed body from ripped clothing showed the ever growing stacks of scars of poorly done operations and deep gashes from where she might have been struck by something and small puncture wounds all over her arms and neck from needlepoint. She was a wreck. Slouched there in the middle of the room Amelie panted between sobs as she tried to catch her breath but her body was failing her. "Where are you... sister.. brother.. where are you..." She cried more, the tears mixing with the puddles of blood on the floor. "I'm so scared... please.." Kiera brought her hand over her mouth and frowned crossly. "He broke her." She blinked disbelievingly. "He broke her mind."

*Yuji nodded, "insanity comes from the mind being unable to take everything in at once. Mind, body, and soul. He mind also reflicts her emotions, in this so many are conflicting it's enough for anyone to do anything due to survivle instinct. Her body is broken down and failing her, she in pain wether she tries to ignor it or not. And as for the soul, well... that's a spechaly and indifferent thing all together..." He glared, "I wonder however what he was injecting in her... if that parasite might still be in there... attached."

Before Kiera could say anything else the scientist rushed into the room with an elated expression. "My little lab rat! Willing to answer a few questions for me today?" He brought in a chair to her cell and sat in front of her with his clipboard and an eerie smile. "Please just kill me... I don't want to do this anymore..." She pleaded. The scientist folded one leg over the other and slouched in his chair. "No can do kiddo. I'm just going to take a few notes first." He nodded to himself and tipped back Amelie's head to inspect her eyes. They were bloodshot and barely functioning. Next he took a sample of her hair and then her saliva. "Right, Amelie. Can you tell me where your siblings are?" Amelie's head fell forward again as he let go and she coughed up some blood. "They.. they were coming to get me..." The scientist tipped his head to the side patronisingly. "Well. They're not here doll. Do you know why that is?" A lack of reply stimulated his gleeful response. "Because they've forgotten about you! Did you honestly think your older brother and sister truly cared about you? They couldn't wait to get rid of you to be honest." Amelie shook a little. "W-what?" Kiera winced. "She can't tell the difference between truth and lies anymore." The scientist nodded. "That's right. They've forgotten about you. Let you rot here to be honest. You're insignificant to them and everyone else in this world, you should just accept that. This world is a game and you're the worst player. Just because you're weak. You wouldn't be in this situation otherwise. If only you weren't so spineless."

Yuji nodded crossing his arms, "he broke her, then made her doughtful for help. Using a game analogy, that's what started the game thing..." he put a hand to his chin, "but why? I understand he needs to see her break and tell her lies to test her emotions... but why does he keep checking her eyes... is that parasite attaching itself to her? Maybe injecting a toxin literally into her brain?" He shuddered, "surly there's more..."

The scientist leaned in closer. "We're all liars, Amelie. There's no one you can trust in this world. Only yourself. Never let anyone lead you into a false sense of security, you will only regret it later. This is where it leads you. Other people are always willing to sell you out to save their own asses, and just because you trust these people." Amelie's head bobbed slightly. "Can't... trust.." The scientist smiled. "You'll hold all the cards one day. You'll show them. Make them pay." The scientist stood up and pushed her chair over onto its side, smashing Amelie's head against the concrete floor. "Pity you didn't last longer though. It would have made a worthy investment.." He left the room and switched off the light locking the door behind him, clearly expecting Amelie to die any time soon. Amelie laid there uncomfortably in the dark and silence just shaking. The shaking soon turned into sobs and the sobs turned into shouting and screaming. After the first few minutes the crying wasn't sorrowful any more. It was angry. Her tone changed. Her language became harsher. She was very angry at the world. Kiera looked down to the floor. "The only thing I can imagine is madness inducing toxins, but even those don't work to this degree. We'd see a lot more Amelie's around if this thing could be mass produced." She frowned. "It's strange..."

Yuji nodded, "bingo! That's one of my reasons for seeing this. Veria things that man can be somewhat trusted, but I wanted to know why he didn't do it again... Ameile is the only one like what we've been through. The only one that changed a lot of major things In the world and did the impossible even multable times. It's clear though that this man did do this on purpose. But again... why..." he shook his head, "I don't understand what he ment by "so we know our limets" did he mean something himself? Maybe that's why he's undefeatable, he may have learned something from her to make himself even better." He wanted to see more to answer all these questions.

Kiera nodded. "This scientist man only came around again when Amelie was out of the picture. I don't think he wanted to be connected with her. It's true it could mean that this man has planned out for Amelie's actions right from the get go. This man could have been secretly manipulating this whole family without us having any idea of it at all. And it's also true that this man must have learned a lot of things about coping strategies, that's probably why he's done so many tortures on her. It's a win win situation for him. He gets a pawn that can manipulate royalty without her even knowing that she is a pawn, and he learns how to make his body and mind impenetrable." Her eyes widened. "I hope I'm not getting ahead of myself.."

Yuji nodded, "it makes sense though and could be a possibility. Because that man is untouchable. This would only make sense as to why. Now I know what I needed about ameile, do you think we can take a peek at this man, maybe get some answers on him. Because if he's capable of all this in this time, just think what he is like in our time. No one can touch him, not even Veria. And she relized it, so instead of fearing him, she took him on at a scientific note. You know how Veria is... she's got to find logic to things. Problem is, this mans involed with the ameile thing now. We were going to use a copying of ameile in a carful inviroment to test to see if we are closer to the goal of fixing all this..." he waved his hand at the picture. "The man offered help with someone who can copy ameile, I'm thinking that's a bad idea. Could give him the chance to actually make more like her after the evolutionist state. A final use for her." He was thinking outloud, now in more confussion then he was before almost. He then thought about it, "keria... I don't want you to be alarmed, but I need to ask anyways. It's just a question alright? Can you also see the possible futchers in time?"

Kiera seemed uneasy. "Yes.. and no." She scratched the back of her neck. "I guess it means yes it is possible but I can't show you what you want to know. That crosses the line. I mean it's bad enough I've taken you back in time now." She sighed. "But he always seems one step ahead. Do you think he'll know we've figured this much out? What does this mean he'll do now?" She rubbed her forehead. "Amelie's safe with Veira, but we don't want to assume..." She suddenly stopped as she covered her mouth with her hand. "We need to get back to my family. I'm scared that something's going to kick off now that we know this information."

Yuji took kerias shoulders, "he shouldn't be able to know about time... unless..." he cursed and let keria take them back! In fear that this could have happened in the first place, but he never thought about this man being the danger, he figured the man was a playful experimental person, and that's all he wanted to know, but now... he new different. Did keria see a futcher? is that why she feared for her family now? Were they now put in danger because Yuji asked for keria's help!?

As soon as they returned to the present, Kiera became a little frantic. She checked the gardens first for Shortstraw. When she couldn't find him she became even more worried. "Oh God..." She rushed back inside and started to search all of the bottom floor rooms. Upon stumbling into the kitchen she found Evelyn unconscious, slammed into the wall broken through to the living room. "Evelyn!" Kiera rushed over to her and helped her out of the rubble. As Evelyn started to come back into consciousness Kiera could feel her panic peaking. "Evelyn! What happened?! Where's Shortstraw? Where's the kids?" Evelyn's eyes snapped open and she coughed out a load of dust. "Oh jeez..." She winced and held her head in her hands guiltily. "That freaky.. ******** scientist.. he took us off guard.. he has Shortstraw, Kiera. And Evelin." Kiera took a deep breath and shut her eyes. She was at a loss. By her laws she was forbidden from intervening this deeply, no matter that her family was involved. She just couldn't. "What about Theodore?" Evelyn coughed. "He went to town with the new girl a couple of hours ago.. he didn't get caught up in this.." Kiera nodded. "Someone needs to get him now." Kiera was trying her best to stay calm in this worst case scenario.
