Shakuntala felt like a slice of paper in the wind as she was jerked from her feet and clinging on to dear life from the rope still knotted to the horse. The girl was bucked against the steed's side as he made steady strides dragging the tent with him. After some time, the girl finally encouraged herself to let go. In a tumbling somersault, Shakuntala crashed to the ground. The world was spinning and, as she slowly rose to sitting, it felt like it wouldn't stop. In that instant, she wasn't aware of herself as a tidbits of her life and the dizzying world around her floated in and out of her brain. She was positive, then and there a few moments ago, she was going to die.
The girl was visibly shaken and so pale, she appeared two shades lighter than her natural skin tone. Besides a rumpled appearance, a head still wavering, and a few small scraps on her hands, the girl looked fairly okay. That didn't stop her from trembling at what happened.
"G-G-G..." she stuttered. "G-G-Goodness..."

poke mattix Whoops I missed this earlier! Let's pretend this reply happened earlier before the tent flop. 8'D Also, nobody's mopping the road during the parade itself o3o Lloren nodded at the helpful citizen, grabbing a mop from next to the desk to hand it to him over the desk, brush-end down. "Absolutely! Thank you so much for your help. You can ask the other people what areas in the marching path they haven't mopped yet, but those areas aren't wet so they should be easy to find."

Oh wow. Was everyone alright? Frightened for the animals safety, and the girl it had carried away he ran after the pair, reaching up and grabbing the horses reigns now more securely shhing the creature. "Hey Are you ok?" He looked worriedly at Tala, then at the tent of people. "Once we get him free, we'll need to make sure no ones hurt.." He gently soothed the poor creature. Grabbing in his pocket he sent a small apology to the owner of the reigns and cut the leather strap to free the horse from the pole. "There.." At least if it ran it wasn't going to drag everyone further. he was quick to return his knife to its shealth he wore inside a pocket. "Hey! Is everyone alright over there?" he called out, looking over at the collapsed remains of the tent. He heard a few people calling out, notably Axel and Cyril. "Okay good hopefully this is the worst that happens." he sighed sounded relieved as his shoulders sagged a bit.Really he felt less than optimistic after the banquet mess the other day and now this. He'd be over there to help anyone out of the tent if some one else didn't soon, he was only one body after all.

Mythee Oh hey you can take me out for the tickets. I already won a semi-custom and I want everyone else to have a chance. Farvardin nodded to Lloren and grabbed the papers to fill out. She easily filled out everything but the address. She scribbled something about outside mountain village as her address. While writing this she had turned her back from the tented booth area. Thus she missed all the commotion with the horse. When she turned back around, ready to turn in the papers, she saw the collapsed tent. "Whaaaaaa????" I missed something." She walked over to Lloren and handed her the papers. "Here you go. Um.... Need some help getting this tent back up?" She spotted a security armband on the ground and picked it up. She slid it on her arm and looked around. She saw Alec near a horse and waved to him. "I see you're here helping out. I signed up for security. Some security I am missing all of this while filling out the paperwork." She said with a small laugh.

Day 2: Volunteer Assessment Day begins! Today (the 19th), volunteers may present themselves to the tent if they wish to participate in one of the troupes of the Parade!
Everyone gathers to have their aptitude for each of these parts of the procession tested, and by the end of the day you will all be sorted! [If you have a preference you may state it, but it's preferable if you go through the process.]
People that were volunteering for anything else the first day will also be sorted if they show up, they'll just have to leave their security bands or whatnot behind if they join the processions. Unless they're there for the fun of being tested or just watching the aptitude tests.
As an extra note, the equine show isn't looking for anyone (unless you've got a horse to contribute), but write a post (at least 200 words) describing how you were tasked with riding a breeder's horse and you can go ahead and be part of that procession~ If you wish to enter your character's own horse, have them bring the horse for evaluation to see if it's worthy of getting in the equine show.
***Unlike a casual ORP like we had until now, the RP session will be a series of four prompts posted throughout the day so that everyone can have their characters going through the same series of events together. There will be at least two hours between each prompt, meaning that we've got until slightly past noon EST (12 PM EST = 11 AM CST = 9 AM PST) to wrap up RPing Day 1's events. rofl
***If you missed any/multiple prompts but still want to have a chance at that section of the parade, feel free to include a response to these past prompts in your post replying to the most recent prompt.

It was Lenore's turn to be at a loss for words. She'd never actually had a friend before - she'd always kept to herself for the most part, and the manager didn't really count. Was it really that easy? "I- Uh-" Her mouth moved, trying to make words that didn't want to come. Finally she cast her gaze to the ground and nodded silently. Looking up cautiously, the girl thought to herself. She had no idea how friendship worked outside of books. But in books, you weren't supposed to lie to your friends. "Uhm... My name isn't actually 'Harold'. That's the name of the manager. My name is Elenore, but I'd prefer it if you called me 'Lenore'. I'm, uh, sorry for lying to you." The girl scratched absentmindedly at her cheek through her sleeve. ((Sorry for disappearing all day. IRL hit me like a truck. >.>))

Kurtis flashed the trainee a smile before taking the mop, moving to perform his duty but stopping as the tent then suddenly flopped onto it's side. "...Oh dear." he hoped that nice trainee was safe... -------- The next day he was back again at the tent (which appeared to be upright again, which was good), and seeing a few others volunteer themselves to be in the parade, he decided he could ask to join in too. ...Not that he had any idea what he could do in the parade (he wasn't a very music oriented guy, but the petal throwing looked real easy...). "Excuse me?" He asked politely to the trainee in charge. "May I volunteer to participate in the parade?"

Zinnia was taken aback for a moment, but she burst out laughing once again. The fit lasted so long that she was left gasping for breath, bent over and clutching her stomach in her throes of laughter. "I... should have known," she gasped. "I thought Harold was a funny name, but I didn't want to be rude!" Zin wiped her eyes as she managed to regain her breath. "Lenore," Zin repeated warmly. "It's great to have you as a friend!" Zin glanced down at the trash bag she was still clutching. "Ah... I guess we'd better get back to work..." she suggested sheepishly. They'd been standing around talking for too long while there was still work to be done. "The faster we finish, the sooner we can get to sleep, and the sooner it will be tomorrow, and the parade will be here!" Zin announced with a wink. "And it will be amazing, so let's work together! This litter won't stand a chance against the two of us!"

Lenore blushed slightly before looking around at the trash scattered around them. "Alright." The girl nodded at the other's logic and got to work picking up the trash with an actual interest. She had a friend. ((Gotta head to bed, but I'll definitely try to be around tomorrow. Sorry, again! >.>))

Elliot was more than happy to simply stand off to the side as chaos broke out, arms folded across his chest as his gaze followed all of the various happenings. Truthfully, despite his bland "why bother" expression, there had been a genuine spark of worry behind the male's aqua colored eyes. Had he thought that someone needed his help, he definitely would have jumped in to assist but, fortunately, it appeared as if everyone was unharmed.
...Though maybe he would be the first to be hurt, as Bas' sudden arrival caused the peach-haired boy to bristle slightly in alarm. He had figured that his friend would not appreciate having been signed up without his permission but...hey, best friends are supposed to suffer together, right?
"My parents made me join because they thought it'd be fun," Elliot grinned as he reached out and clapped his own hand on the other boy's shoulder, "So I thought I'd do you the favour of signing you up so that you could also enjoy this 'fun'."
What a good friend he was. In all seriousness though... "You know I'll make it up to you though. You know that one day you're going to drag me into something I don't like either." Danny shook her head at Shun, not willing to take his answer as defeat, but also not willing to give him TOO much grief about it. "Nah, you'll see one day. You're a commander!" This much, Danny was certain of. What her measurement standard for "commander" was, was a mysterious.
To Shakuntula, Danny grinned and said, "Don't gotta be shy! We're all friends here now." Danny's definition of friend was also something incredibly vague and all-encompassing.
Hearing both Shun and Alec had joined the military had Danny crossing her arms. Was everyone suddenly entering the military for fun?? Was there a secret party she didn't know about???
"Ha!" Danny guffawed. "You guys make the military sound so great. Maybe I'll join it too!" she said spitefully, not sure why she was so vindictive about this military business. "What do you think about Commander Danny hm?"idk theres a lot of ppl now

For a good while, Shun just stared at Danny without saying anything. He wasn't really sure what she meant with her insisting that he was a commander. Though, he had somewhat of an inkling when she spoke up again regarding the military. Or at least a suspicion for what she meant.
"Danny. Not everyone that's ******** military is a commander." he stated flatly. He also considered voicing that he thought the idea of joining just because people she had just met recently were recruited was a dumb idea. This, he decided against, however. What she did with her life was her own choice.
Though, the idea of being stuck with her in the military was mildly horrifying in its own right.

{ waah missed so much. not sure what's going on but! }
Following after Alec, he gave a look to the one in charge while still wearing his rather composed, and blank expression. A glance was spared towards Axel as he too chimed into the interest in being apart of security. Seems there was at least enough interest in the particular area... that was good. However as the other necessity's were listed, the try outs required... he definitely knew he was going to be sticking with security. All those other things didn't sound like something he'd be good at.... at all.
The sudden collapse of the tent, and the spooked horse darting off with a girl in tow happened so quickly. Yet Mykanos was able to keep a level head; as a hunter had to. Able to get out of the way, he did accidentally bump into a few people who too were trying to avoid getting the structure fallen on them. Muttered apologies were given, and his attention shifted to look for the girl that'd been taken along for a ride with that frightened horse. She seemed to be taken care of now, though...

Arriving the next day, he made sure to keep steered clear from the testing to join in the festivities. There was no way he was going to be a 'star in the parade'. He wasn't one to have the limelight shined on him. Being a background sort of character was better suited for someone of his stature. Arms crossed over his chest, Mykanos looked around idly, just... waiting to see what would happen.
