Lt.Tsavolite hadn't expected one of his first runs outside of the hospital to be so eventful, and yet here he was, invariably attracted and alerted to activity by all the rampant energy spikes. He'd been quietly gathering energy and starseeds from terminal and just plain unhealthy and unlikely to be able to continue treatment patients at the hospital, taking care to pilfer some medications and supplies on the way there after making a trip to the security room. Sapping the guards was relatively easy, only to rewind and augment the tapes for the duration of the time he spent there so nothing appeared wrong. But as he'd been leaving, he'd suddenly felt....something.
He wasn't sure, honestly he was new to this entire thing, and while his introduction to the Negaverse had been interesting to say the least, it wasn't the MOST informative of these new instincts he had. It wasn't that he was particularly loyal either, but the budding doctor in him felt a need to be on the scene. There weren't many redeeming features about the officer, but his altruistic pull towards trouble in the foresight that someone may need him in an emergency was certainly one of them.
As he approached the fray, he hung back momentarily, overwhelmed by everything going on. Origami was flying, a general had....was that LITERALLY egg on his face? Not to mention a slew of other activity and attacks going on, and in the middle of it all, another General giving an order over the Crystals. Ah, so THATS how you used them.
Immediately after coming to the realization, Tsavolite took his own crystal out of the medkit pouch at his side, holding it tightly and channeling energy into it rather clumsily but it got the job done, if not making the message sound a little staticy.
"Lt. Tsavolite reporting for medical response, any officers down or needing medical assistance, I have limited but available supplies for treatment! I've hung back and just stumbled upon all of you by dumb luck, so come look for the officer who looks a bit befuddled in the green trenchcoat," he answered his superior officer, and broadcasted to everyone else. He may not have PLANNED on being here, but he'd sure as hell make the most of it. Besides, it was good Emergency response training he supposed at the very least.
Here's hoping all that knowledge and training in medschool so far would pay off in a real world application.

The flung object had not been a weapon, but rather... a starseed? And from the looks of it, a dead one. She'd seen fresh seeds, seen how they glowed with power. That one was nothing more than a crystal now, she suspected. Cinnabar watched as the senshi tucked it into her uniform, finding the motion idiotic and useless. What was she going to do with it? All its worth was gone and it was nothing but a paperweight now.
Sentimental idiot.
However... sentimental or not, that didn't mean the eternal wasn't both faster and stronger than the lieutenant when she finally decided to engage again. It was something Cinnabar was finding she was woefully underestimating, but now that she'd joined the fight, there was little she could do, but follow through on it... no matter what the outcome was.
Cin's dodge saved her some of the impact, her normal reaction to lessen the blow doing its job, but not quite enough. She felt the arm connect and snap shut around her neck, hauling her in close to the eternal in a position she instinctively knew was deadly... but the senshi had put herself in her own precarious position, because now Cin was in the perfect position to put her training to good use.
As her air cut off, she quashed the jolt of fear that raced through her and lifted a knee to slam the silver heel of her boot into Gunn's foot, pushing upwards for enough room to bring her elbow back in a, hopefully, vicious blow to the stomach. At this point, the plan was for the hold to loosen, giving the trapped lieutenant a chance to grab the arm around her neck and either twist out of it, pulling it behind the senshi's back, or even throw her completely over her shoulder and down to the rooftop. From there, the murderous look in Cinnabar's eyes promised nothing but pain.
With the lavender-coated threat out of the way, Serpentine openly sneered at the page (Sarras). Pay how? With cavities and gingivitis? Let him try. There was no need to waste words on someone so insignificant... not when there was a Senshi (Mintaka) nearby to act as the new focus of his hate. The General had never had much malice for Knights and their ilk--although that was well on its way to changing--but for little girls who annoyed their betters with paper? Yes, that was a suitable target.
The blinding effects of the hatred was beginning to die down, fostered by the few responses to his orders that trickled through. It eased his bruised ego to know that their officers were following commands as best they could. Better still, a new voice (Tsalovite), one that he did not recognize came over the communications crystal offering medical support. Oh, if only it had been Mica... but she was far from this place, and any additional assistance would do. Once he and Buddingtonite were free of this area... perhaps they could more actively fight beside their officers as well. For now, he aimed a kick at the legs of the origiami Senshi, struggling to breathe through the sweltering heat of the fire and steam.

Lyceum as freaked as she was and rather terrified of Buddy at the moment, of what I might he might possibly do to her, but the girl. The girl had her starseed ripped out and was what ... dead. Her feet carried her ignoring the other's on the roof, stumbling around the origami stars, to the girl that lay on the roof (Jade). She wanted to pick her up and see if she was okay, but she was afraid to grab the girl. Could she injure her further if the girl had managed to survive that what Buddy had done.
All she could try to do was try to attempt to keep the general from getting to the girl. The other had caught the starseed right? Right? This was all a lot for her, but she stood, fear be damned, praying she didn't meet a similar fate as the poor cat and get launched off the roof.
Heavens what she wouldn't give for magic right now!
Maia watched as the girl seemed decide action was the best course, but she was distracted by Gunn setting fire to the roof, she was about to act when a familiar voice caught her attention. She looked to Athene and shook her head, "Currently I'm not sure what all of this is about, but I think it would be best if we ..."
She paused in her words looking to the roves as more and more chaos broke out around them and up on the roof. "I think we should go up," she said to both Athene and to Shang, "I don't think we should play this game anymore. Planning and figuring seems to have gone out the metaphorical window."
She turned looking again at shouting to see two things being thrown, one of which was a cat. She recognized Ganymede, Val, Europa and Leda up on the roof with a general where most of the chaos was and figured that they had that pretty well covered.
"I'm going up with to with Gunn, maybe I can help free the hostage up there. Shang go up to where the corrupted senshi are and try to see if you can free the hostage there. Athene, I'll be fine, will you stay with my brother," she said quickly.
With that she took off not making sure they did as she said, she just wanted to end this. She quickly found herself up on the roof with Gunn, Cinnabar, Schorl, the hostage (Galena) and looked to Gunn.
"I'll try to free the hostage," she said before turning toward Schorl. "Let her go," she said calmly.

Acubens lifted her nose to get a better whiff of the air. Andronicus had been right, there was smoke. How had she missed it? She couldn't hear the fire, which was good since it was probably small or far enough away that it wouldn't be a danger. The last time there had been a fire Acubens barely escaped with her skin still intact. She wasn't excited about a repeat performance and was surprised when Andronicus expressed that she was.
"Remember the last time there were this many chaos signatures in one place? And before that, maybe it was before you were awakened, the Order got ambushed by the chaos. Oh and then there was that time an ambush was disguised as a convention." Acubens had a hard time keeping the irritation out of her voice. "The Order acts like a herd of ******** sheep Andronicus. If you want to survive then you have to be smarter than that. Besides that feel around. We aren't the only orders here. Chances are the fire is the result of a fight between two or more powered and getting in the middle would cause more trouble than good." Her voice was steadily rising in volume as her temper flared. She had to stop again and take a breath.
"Listen," she turned, relaxing into her sigh. "The chaos is smart. They know that most orders have a hero's complex and are willing to barrel head first into any situation to save one civilian. You need to know when to hang back and how to weigh the cost against the gain. Burning this building to the ground isn't going to save anyone, and charging into the flames won't either." She reached out to touch her partner, as she was wont to do, but hesitated, hand hovering in mid air between them.
"I've lost a lot of people. And I'll be damned if you turn out as stupid as the rest of us. Who knows, maybe next time we'll be smart enough to leave something like this alone."

Empressite had been fortunate to be moving when the spray of scalding steam came her way. So it was little to her to simply throw herself to the ground to avoid being hit. Well little enough It caused impact to her already injured ribs and a few shallow lacerations to her hands and abdomen, which would be easily enough dealt with.
She got up and brushed the gravel out of her wounds as best as she could when Serpentine's order came over the crystal. And by now, she recognised that injured as she was, she was more of a liability than asset to the fight and she prepared to withdraw. The area was absolute and utter chaos, so it ought to be no trouble to withdraw to a safer place.
Her crystal activated again, and though the message was extremely static-y she was pretty sure it was something about medical assistance, and a confused looking guy in a green trench coat. Kinda odd, if you asked her, but beggars couldn't be choosers and if she wanted to continue to be a part of this mission, she would take whatever help she could get.
She spotted said lieutenant fairly quickly. And for once it seemed like things might actually be going her way. He wasn't too far away, and there were no scuffles to wade through, nor fires to cross She might actually be able to make it over to him without any more injuries.
'I have a badly twisted and possibly broken ankle, bruised ribs and superficial lacerations.' Damn, the ribs were definitely badly bruised. She might be out of commission if he didn't have pain pills. Breathing was becoming more difficult. That last little maneuver really wasn't all that smart...' I know there's not a lot that can be done about the ribs, but if you have something to stabilise the ankle and something for the pain that would be fantastic.'

To say that he was jarred out of his “calming me time” was a serious understatement. Ashur definitely hadn’t expected to be found by anyone considering the spot he’d picked was relatively out of the way for most passersby, and he most certainly did not expect the one person to actually find him to be Danika. He’d stopped what he was doing almost as soon as her voice reached his ears, turning to stare rather stupidly at her as she started to go off on him when the lights suddenly went out.
That got her off his case, if only temporarily.
Little energy blips started coming through the hazed state that his brain was in, and at mention of a gather of negaverse signatures -- his little attempt to try and maybe keep her questions at bay -- they made their way (once Danika was powered up, of course) to that evening’s goings-on without sharing too many words or glances. Or, at least, he kept his eyes forward. His hands were numb, his eyes narrowed and his irritation mounting every time he felt her gaze on him. To be honest, after just a few minutes of the heavy atmosphere Ashur realized he would have rather had a shouting match with her than put up with the stretching silence between them.
They arrived at the scene a way’s away from the action, and her warning got a snort out of him. He didn’t even look at her, and he wasn’t sure it was because he couldn’t or he just flat out didn’t want to. The defiant little brat in him, maybe. Probably.
He took the scene in, in relative silence as he pulled out his medkit and started tending to his own wounds, one hand carefully after the other. Soon enough he was patched up and, despite her warnings, ready to go punch in some negaverse faces. Granted, he wasn't about to go shooting off into the blazes. Fire wasn't the sort of element he wanted to be surrounded by in any situation. So he listened to her, for now, anyway.
His mood had lifted slightly at the sight of the fire and chaos, oddly enough. He felt somewhat in tune with what was going on, and split between wanting order to be returned and wanting the flames to carry things to the next level. He convinced himself he was leaning toward the former. He shot a glance toward where Themiscyra had headed and followed suit; she seemed to have gone out of sight already. Valhalla and a few other Order-aligned persons were still there, though, and so he approached with a rather questioning look.
”Great way to start that whole balancing act, huh?” he said to the Jovian knight, a small and likely unconvincing smirk on his face.

Normally witnessing anyone having their starseed removed would have filled Ganymede with a sense of terror. That was certainly still there, but it was tempered somewhat beneath her suspicions. She'd played this game too many times to let herself be fooled so easily. Maybe she was wrong and Buddingtonite really had just removed the starseed of a fellow Senshi, but there wasn't any way for her to know that for sure until she got a closer look.
It was difficult to keep track of those that gathered around. Themiscyra she recognized. The other two knights, a squire and a page (Falias and Ashur) she did not. But they hovered around Valhalla, not her. So with the briefest of glances to serve as acknowledgement, she left them to it.
“This is ridiculous,” she muttered. Ganymede heard another Senshi (Gunn) call for Europa and frowned when she thought it sounded like an order. To her teammate she said, “I'm going for Buddingtonite. Looks like he wants to play the evil, menacing General, but if he's just bullshitting around I'm going to find out.
“Don't fall for his little games,” she said to Lyceum.
She wasted no more time standing around. Ganymede took a running jump and leapt gracefully onto the roof of the department store. Her Senshi abilities made jumping over and avoiding much of a fray relatively simple, placing her closer to Buddingtonite and his supposed Senshi hostage (Jade). She made no move to the girl that had been discarded as soon as the starseed had been plucked and flung through the air, but faced Buddingtonite challengingly.
“I don't know that I believe you,” she told him, “so I'm going to give you a choice. Either I burn you, or I burn the corpse.”
Outwardly she was able to keep her emotions in check. Her expression was dauntless; she stared the General squarely in the face. Inwardly she felt slightly uneasy, unsure what would happen if and when she followed through with the threat. Either he'd sacrifice himself to the attack and give himself away, or she'd end up using it on someone who may very well be an ally—and a dead one. Talk about a waste of a perfectly good attack.

From Maia's words it seemed that she knew as much about what was going on as he did, although his fellow eternal was in the process of suggesting something. What she was intending to say however Athene never got to find out as at that moment there was some commotion from the direction of the red-haired Nega-General (Buddingtonite).
Athene turned to look and was in time to see two items sail through the air. The first was small but the second... His eyes widened slightly beneath the semi rimless frames of his glasses My god is that a cat girl?!
And then as if the cat girl sailing through the air was some sort of catalyst it seemed as if chaos had started to break out. At the sound of Maia's voice Athene started slightly, but then nodded before looking towards the Squire that he'd remembered from the training sessions she'd been putting on. "I can try using my senshi ability against the corrupt" he told Shangri-La as he started in the direction of the Nega-senshi (Lellouch) that Maia had pointed out. "It doesn't always work, but can trap things when it does." And it could potentially buy them some time to rescue the civilian that the corrupt senshi appeared to be holding hostage (powered down Kadyrelite).

Well, okay, here's how Gunn wanted it to go: hopefully, the Negaverse would have disengaged from their offense against first-level senshi and turned their attention to her. When that happened, she could have used her Eternal magic to blow the lieutenant and converging higher-ranking Negas to a fiery hell.
Since that didn't happen, she decided to commit, her free hand moving to the top of Cinnabar's head. Murder hadn't given her pause for years, and there was the concern of the younger senshi, the less-experienced, to worry about. But before she could finish, the heel of the Lieutenant's boot slammed into her instep and Gunn smothered a curse, instinctively jolting back with her arm still locked around the woman's neck. That absorbed most of the blow to her kidneys, leaving a hit that would bruise but was not, after all, disabling.
"Don't talk to her, Maia," yowled Gunn, "******** kill her!"
That was when her arm loosened and she bodily shoved the Lieutenant away, all the while incanting her Eternal attack under her breath, as fast as she could. "Adyingemberbecomesaragingfire! GunnwildfirepowerBLOW UP!" She spun in place, quickly, and the sparks that had begun to sparkle into existence the moment the word ember had left her lips spun with her, flaring brighter and brighter and brighter until they exploded into flame, expanding outwards from Gunn in a five-meter radius.

The super senshi was scared. Andronicus could hear it in her voice. She let out a sigh and clasped Acubens' hand with hers. She wasn't thrilled about the fire either, but just because it was all powered signatures didn't mean there weren't others up there. Others caught in the middle. Fire did not discriminate between factors or powered or non. She didn't enjoy going into the fire anymore than Acubens did, but if civilians were in danger up there...
"So I've noticed." She blew out a breath of air, trying to keep her sarcasm and 'hero complex' out of her voice. She had one, it was true just as much as everyone else did, especially if civilians were involved. No, she was going to be calm. Acubens was looking out for her and trying to keep her alive. Lashing out simply because she felt slighted that she'd be 'stupid as the rest of us' was not going to end well right now.
"I'm not stupid, Acubens. Headstrong, yes, but not stupid. I have a burn from the last time there was fire. But they both put civilians in danger. I don't really care what side it is, trying to destroy each other is no reason to kill people who can't defend themselves.
"I will follow you, Acubens. I'm not going to run off on you. So, what are we looking for?"

The tiny power signature came at him and he pulled his head back too late. Her fist grazed his face and he felt his jaw crack. That would have hurt, if he was a civilian. Jarosite stopped and kicked a foot out, hoping to catch her off guard and trip her.
"You again. Have you improved from the last time yet?" he said cockily, grinning toothily at Themiscrya. So headstrong, so fiesty and he just really wanted to see her pummeled into the ground. A personal sort of vendetta.

Mintaka breathed in as the paper cranes started falling, stopping Sarras from engaging the negaverser as well as blinding the general. Count it as the first time that her attack actually did good.
But the drawbacks were the other general coming in, punching Sarras not once, but twice.
"Sarras..." Mintaka moved closer to the page, only to be kicked by the general. And it hurt, falling backwards. "H...hey now..." She blinked, rolling back up and away, bringing her hands up defensively like Chariklo showed her. "I...I don't wanna fight...really..."
Kerberos swore loudly as he crashed into Serpentine and Erythrite, rolling off them and immediately back onto his feet. "Sorry about that, General," he said, brushing himself off. His eyes flicked to his sister, but she appeared, at least at the moment, to be fine, which was good enough for him.
He glared at the red-haired Eternal (Gunn) and seriously considered attacking her again - but he was at every disadvantage, and his attack had barely seemed to affect her. So instead he slipped away and considered his options. There would be someone to attack once this really got going.
Penthesilea rolled her shoulders. "Still dunno what ******** I did t'make you so goddamn mad at me, darlin'." She said, waving it off. Probably she was friends with Tantalus, or Amytis, or Damocles, or someone else Pen had smacked around in her crusade to Murder All the Chaos.
She ducked behind Chariklo, not particularly wanting to be protected but more than willing to avoid another dose of that nasty bird-winged attack..thing that had left her so open to Acubens's assault during the WP battle.
Chariklo's choice of target was interesting - that was Lellouch, who on the whole Penthe had no problems with, but, well, they were face to face on the battlefield and on opposite sides this time, so alas, she was going to have to give the Senshi of Ravens a fist to the face to get that poor hostage out of the way.

Cybele had finally had a chance to shift into a proper battle stance just as their fight ended, but she was very okay with that. As they'd inched towards the edge of the roof, she had gotten more and more nervous, and when her kick had unexpectedly sent Empressite sprawling towards the edge, she'd frozen up, unwilling to go any further. It didn't matter. She'd still won, and causing as much damage as possible wasn't the point here anyway. That bit of pride over victory shattered as a cat flew at them and landed straight into the hands of the wounded Negaverser before Cybele could even do anything. Apparently she hadn't learned about the magical cats yet, since she just crooned some warning before stumbling off.
Charging after her was an option, of course, but even Cybele realized that it wasn't a good one. She knelt next to the cat instead. "Are you okay?" she asked. A quick glance in the direction the cat had been tossed from revealed a rather chaotic looking mess with magic and fists flying everywhere. "That didn't look fun. That girl's actually right. It's not safe here. Maybe you should..." Wasn't that what the Negaverse had wanted, though? For everyone to freak out and leave? "...Stay close to me. I'll protect you."
Hopefully.
As if to disprove her point, that one senshi decided to unleash another fireball, way bigger than the first. The flames stopped maybe a foot away from her, but it sent a wave of scorching heat in their direction. Cybele had had enough, and she turned to call, rather shortly, “Be careful, okay? There are allies around, and hostages, remember?”

If nothing else, Buddingtonite was the perfect peacock for attention getting. Both of their incumbent General's were drawing plenty of attention- plenty of eternal and scout attention. Cinnabar moving to engage the most brazen of them was just icing on the cake of poor decisions- all the more without all of the guards moving together. One eternal in the middle and she isn't torn apart by our guards in a concerted effort? It will need improvement.
Playing with an eternal solo while still a lieutenant was a stupidity with which the captain was intimately familiar. It was one that was decidedly not for indulging on a collaborative mission. The captain shifted her grip to across Galena's chest, possessively a fore her clavicles and gripping opposite shoulder. It was only just in time to take an unexpected blast of steam from behind- Schörl pressed forward against her charge, expecting some of the lesser steam might make it around her hair, coat and arm, but willfully soaking the splash damage. The steam stayed heavy in the jacket, kept the burning sensation alive in her back, shoulders and legs even as the steam made breathing like chewing when combined with the wildfire. She summoned up her weapon as things started going wild.
General Serpentine's voice calling the regroup- Another agent (Tsavolite) calling over the crystals that he was a medic.
This is going peachy.
The Captain looked up at the olive Eternal now too close to her's and Galena's position for comfort. " May be pretty, may be sweet. Your authority here is obsolete. "
Schörl shifted her hand to rest nails at the thin skin of Galena's neck, "Carotid Artery. Don't test."
What was that about playing with eternal senshi, captain?
