Jake rolled over with his but on his calves, still protecting his package and aiding it with his wrists. He started kicking the mat to show how agonizing this was, especially so late in the match. It seemed as though most finishers were high risk, high reward. That was a strong disadvantage of his submission.

Seeing as Jake was still in pain, this did well for Aiden allowing himself to recoup and take a much needed breather. As far as him healing his sore joints and muscles, that'll have to be saved for the medical bay after the match. Right now though, it seemed as if Jake was going to be on the group for a few minutes longer, at least in Aiden's thought process. Because of this, Aiden felt it was time that he get back in the groove of things. Walking over to the turnbuckle closest, yet a good distance away from Jake, Aiden started to ascend the ropes. Once he had found his balance on the top rope, Aiden would stand tall and look around the arena from his heightened perch before he used the turnbuckles bounce as a launch pad to attempt a shooting star press onto Jake.

The rise in the audience's vocals told the story. Aiden was going for something big, and the Shooting Star Press was a death wish for the Kid if he didn't find a way out of it. As he found Aiden in his vision, it was too late to try to roll out of the way. But in the brink of time, Roman was able to put his knees up as Covell was airborne.

From the moment his feet left the turnbuckles, time stood still. It was almost as if everything was going in slow motion. The crowd was at a dull audible. Camera flashes seemed to take forever to click. The same feeling was felt whenever Aiden would ever try something as aerial as this move here, that took a lot of physical and timed perfection. However, perfection in this case was a minute too late and a second too short. Aiden had completed his full reverse rotation and was now on his downward decent to land on top of Jake, but not in the method he expected. Clearly, Jake had enough left in his groin-pained tank to raise his kneed and fend off the aerial maneuver. Aiden's stomach had collided with Jake's kneecaps and felt them press into his abs as the wind was practically knocked out of him. Aiden's body flipped over and landed on it's back, but not without Aiden clutching his stomach and rolling from left to right in pain.

This was the last opportunity he may have gotten. Getting to his feet in a stumbling hurry, testicles still in one hand, Roman let go of his crown jewels and looked to lock Aiden in a double underhook position; this was not only to protect his genitalia, but to follow it with his finishing maneuver on Covell, The Empire Strikes Back!

Still in a visible amount of pain, Aiden was either getting one hell of a stomachache or he was in some serious pain. Nothing was broken, that much was a fact. He didn't know if he pulled a muscle or not. But most likely the diagnosis would be a strained muscle or two. Or plenty. Enough that it had his breathing out of whack and he wasn't quite happy with the knees to the gut. He knew that he had to find a opportunity to put a signature in somewhere. Maybe even a finisher. Something. Some way he could put a stamp on the match and get the pin. That, or at least get a near three count. But the problem was, he didn't know how much strength he had left. That, and he wasn't feeling like going to the top rope anytime soon. Thus why as Aiden was collected up and put in an underhook position, he really couldn't fight it off. He was now at Jake's mercy.

There was no flamboyant taunting or cocky words said to add insult to injury. The way Jake saw it, injury always won wrestling matches, and his anxiousness to overcome Covell once and for all was met when he lifted the smaller man in the air and went to bring him down in a double underhook piledriver, also known as... The Empire Strikes Back!

As soon as Aiden was lifted in the air and the only way he saw was down, he knew it was going to hurt. If not painful, then excruciatingly. Such a move as Jake's finisher would easily be banned in most professional companies due to the threat of landing wrong and causing severe injury. However, Aiden had years of practice and training so, he'd know how to tuck his head when he took the hit. No matter how he tucked his head though, it still hurt. Which was why as soon as he was dropped on his shoulders and back of the head, Aiden felt a jolt of lighting surge through his spine and tight pain erupt from his neck. A surge of muscles aching and his vision a bit dizzy. Nothing broken. Nothing fractured. Hell, nothing serious. Just one hell of a painful finisher that would no doubt keep Aiden down for the extent of the match.

The only thing left to do was to flip Aiden over on his back and go for another cover. Taking the first win in a "Best of" series was monumental, and by the looks of things, Roman would be the first to find himself ahead if he could get Aiden's shoulders down for a consecutive three seconds. One! Two!

There was no mistaking the impact that such a finisher could do on an opponents head. Once Aiden took the hit, he knew he was done. No matter how many times he could try to lie to himself or try to kickout, the move did damage. Quite a significant amount of damage. Enough that once he was pinned, Aiden even tried to kickout, but it was all but nothing and maybe just a twitch or flex of his muscles. Nothing more. Thus, Aiden was pinned.
Two.. THREE!

Ding ding ding!"Here is your winner by pinfall... Jake, ROMAN!""Immigrant Song" - Led Zeppelin
Standing up only to get your hand raised is one of the sweetest satisfactions this business gives, and on his first night in such a huge wrestling federation, Jake Roman got to hold his hand high in victory. A huge smile spread across his face from ear to ear, and the crowd applauded for the new wrestler's performance, even when it seemed as though the odds weren't in his favor. Well, they were now; out of the three wins he needed to emerge victorious through this series, Jake got the first one, and all signs pointed up. He thought about offering a hand to Covell, but after the amount of egotistical taunts and displays or arrogance he showed, Roman would save it for a better time. Right now, he just wanted to walk to the back and celebrate, so after dropping to his back and sliding out of the ring, along with a few high-fives to the audience members, Jake walked up the ramp holding the back of his neck.

So, that sucked. No matter how badly Aiden wanted to kick out of the pin, his body wouldn't let him. Call it self preservation so he wouldn't have to endure anymore inflicting blows upon his head. Maybe if egotistical replies were allowed to be spoken, chalk it up as Aiden 'let Jake win'. Whichever way it was said. However the tide turned. Whoever the crowd cheered or booed, Jake left the match victorious. There Aiden laid on his back with a look of mild anger and disappointment on his face. He didn't like to lose. No one liked to lose. Thus, Jake was lucky. Jake, got lucky. One out of five. Big deal. There was about a good five minutes after Jake left the ring in celebration up the ramp before Aiden would soon roll out of the ring. One hand on his hip while the other was kept behind his head, rubbing the back of his neck. Up the ramp he walked towards the back, not with his music playing. But having to constantly listen to Jake's as it faded out. The music finally cutting out and nothing by crowd chatter being heard by the time Aiden reached the top of the stage and finally walked to the back accordingly.
