Maybe there were other things that should have worried SpringTooth more than the fact that one eye had gone dead, a black void where half his vision should have been, leaving his balance wobbly as he struggled to his feet. Perhaps he should have been focusing on the strange journey, the wormhole, the change in his name. Possibly the idea that trouble was waiting around the corner should have invaded on his thoughts....
And yet. For some reason, the lack of depth perception was his first thought.
Absently, he flicked the eyepatch up off of his face, and both eyes [thank goodness for that small favor, at least] came into focus on the sign in front of him.
Forget the potential problems waiting around the corner, and the shift in the world around him. As it stood, SpringTooth found himself in a badass coat with a badass hat, dropping a badass eyepatch down over one dark eye, and his mouth spread into a somewhat thoughtless smile. Out there, perhaps, he was a shy reaper who spent more time making lists and organizing information than actually getting anything done, but in here...
In here, it seemed, he was a Gryphon. He approached the sign.

”Hello again!” Ch33p-Ch33p waved at the tree, although there was no way to know if it could actually see her. “I’m sorry that you still haven’t been able to figure out how tall you are. Maybe somebody else will come along with an answer? You know, most of the trees here haven’t been very friendly. You’re not going to make any friends that way! I better get back to Wayfinder.”

[Trees: 4/5] The next tree UT came upon was rather more what she expected from a tree, it was wide and tall, but it looked rather unhappy. As she walked up she heard it speak and what it said gave her pause.
"I don't think so, the last people who were here were terribly mean about it. Terribly, terribly mean and it just won't do anymore. If you come any closer I will have to resort to violence I mean it! Don't come any closer!" "Well that's rather judgmental, but don't get your leaves in a twist I'm leaving!"
She still remembered the whipping from the willow and didn't want to test the larger tree's patience. She didn't have a very good record with trees now that she thought about it.

No, no, no, not this tree again. the0racle had no idea how the path she had set on led her back to the same tree who had managed to smack her in the face. This time it only wrestled its leaves threateningly at her, which was a little less painful but no less insulting. "Leave away," she grumbled at the tree, and deciding that it really wasn't worth her time, meandered back down the path and hopefully to greener pastures.

Now. Aki usually had beautiful, vibrant, wonderful dreams. Dreams not involving scary dark places. Like that nightmare. SO! When he found himself in a brightly lit area, before a hole, he knew it was a new adventure. Not unlike when he walked through a door and found himself at a school. Not unlike taking part in tournaments for school. No, this would be another fun game!
How much of a game it would be he didn't realize until he'd fallen and drunk down the bottle without any form of hesitation. Zip. Nadda. Zilch. Actually it might have tasted good, and he might have laughed as he had ACTUALLY been able to read the part about it saying 'drink me.' Trisha's lessons were helping an absolute ton with that!
So as he found himself before someone named Alice AI and bobbing his head up, down, up, and a bit more down. He couldn't help the smile as she spoke about some neat world and rules... and stuff that was going past him. It went on for a while without any question until he got to the party about a name. There was this look that said 'CHOOSE' given to him. Well... well he wasn't sure. So he quickly glanced around before managing something. "tufflfuff!" The input, sadly, didn't go in quite as he'd mean. He'd actually been going for ToughFluffy, because being strong in a fight was good! And he was Fluffy! Well... that was what a lot of people called him anyway. So well... it would do. It then went to some customization things, including his class. A lot were meant to hurt, and that one was for healing, but what caught his eye and caused an echo of a long since lost voice in his head was the one about defending things. "That one!" He quickly pointed to it, finding himself now decked out in a cape and blue and... well somehow he'd been grown more than a few inches to match the models. Whatever.
He'd realize he'd gained longer hair later too, but for now there was a quiet thank you and he found himself relocated to.
WOODS! OH GOSH AND THERE WERE A LOT OF CREEPLE! His tail might or might not have been going a mile a minute as tufflfuff glanced around avidly. They were all doing things and talking to trees, who had eyes mind you, and this was new! "It is big!" He happily chimed, starting off in the direction of the others only to be stopped by some conversation popping into play.
Things about... a quest? "Trees?" He looked from the sign post to the others all going about the question before nodding. "AH! I SEE!" He might have bounced lightly at that before darting straight off to go about this quest.
This game seemed like it would be fun! But... this was a dream? So were those people real, or part of it too?

Having fallen through a mysterious hole in the ground on a whim and decided to drink a mysterious potion for no reason other because she could, dotdotdot saw no harm in wondering around the mysterious, yet beautiful woods, marveling at all the different colored trees. She could hear mysterious noises around her, ones that she would normally jump away from in fright, but since it was all a dream, she told herself nothing could hurt her, and she continued on her merry way.
At the signpost, dotdotdot was instructed to examine several trees more closely. There was no rush, so she went along with it and started wondering around.

"I beg your pardon," says the tree with stripes, "but I am not silly at all. In here everything is possible and anything is impossible and therefore a tree with stripes is completely within everything and anything." Its stripes change colours. "Now, give me a good, good shake. I want to get some more colour out. Shake me really well, if you do I'll reward you."
If you shake the tree it laughs happily and then spits out a fragment. It bids you your merry way as you continue walking. +1 fragment.
Ember eyes stared at the tree as she circled it with interest. This was a very weird tree but the stripe did add a nice touch to it. Not like anything else here should surprise her from the talking tree.
But then it talked.
She nearly fell backward from the jump at the sudden speech of the foliage. "A shake...? Well... If it's what you want..." She grasped the tree, planted her hooves into the ground as firmly as she could and gave the tree the biggest shake she could. Her eyes popped open at the sound of the other's laughter and continues to shake.
Then something bonks her on the head before falling to the ground. A small shard gleamed back at her as she bent down and examined the fragment. 'Beautiful...'
She waved to the tree as it sent her off and she continued to stare at her reward.

He approached the exclamation mark but instead of a person the sign spoke to him. Okay. He could roll with that.
The wayfinder decided he needed to check out some trees, so he wandered away to check out the area. When he reached the first tree nearby, he looked up into it's branches only to be greeted with a bright set of teeth with a cryptic message.
Creepy.

The forest itself was forever active, shifting under he feet to unsteady her and staring with many sets of eyes. Though she didn't feel threatened, it was a eerie feeling to have so many things watch her as she stepped up to one of the many trees.
Said tree though wasn't happy to be approached.
"Huh?" She questioned the tree and it's threat of violence. "Oh so you want to fight? Aww hell yeah time to kick a** and get some exp - ******** thus the gryphon was pimp slapped by a tree.

[Trees: 5/5] Well she'd walked around the woods quite a bit and seen and heard some interesting things, she had a fragment and the whole experience hadn't really been too unpleasant. It seemed if she was congenial to the inhabitants of this place they would be just as kind in turn. She spotted a tree stump and walked over waiting for a moment. It didn't speak and so she sat down and gave it a little pat.
"Thank you, I just need a breather."

7: You reach a tree stump and it isn't able to talk because it is a tree stump. It makes a great item for sitting though.
Finally, a spot to rest her hooves for a moment. It wasn't a weird stump or at least it didn't seem like one now. That thing with this place was that she never really knew if anything was as simple as it seemed. It was a safe assumption that it wasn't and that she would need to rest quickly and return on her way.

3: You reach a tiny tree and it looks up at you and only has a row of smiling teeth. "Guess what I'm hiding!"
If you cater to it then it tells you "I'm hiding something in my mouth!" It sticks out its mouth and lo and behind it is a fragment! +1 Fragment.
If you don't guess the tree looks disappointed. "Oh, okay..." It does not give you a fragment. (tree 5/5)
the0racle was just happy she hadn't run into the same willow tree again. This one sported a rather nice set of teeth, and curiously she smiled back at it, as if to show off her own chompers. The tree asked her a question, and the0racle was just happy it wasn't a riddle. Unless it was...? She frowned, and considered just walking away before she was lured into another stupid trap.
"A pumpkin?" oh she hoped it was a pumpkin. Though, on second thought, the tree was small enough that she should have noticed a pumpkin hiding behind it. "A smaller pumpkin?" she revised her answer.
Turns out she was wrong, but she got a really cool fragment for her troubles, and she managed to meet enough trees. Perhaps she'd go looking around for some more.

Noemi blinked as she looked around. She didn't have any idea what she was wearing, where she was and exactly what was going on but...it reminded her a lot of a certain book.
Her tail twitched as she read the sign and then moved forward, looking around. Her hands lacing nervously together.
It wasn't till she came to a tree with stripes that she stopped to take the sheer..absurdity of it in.
When it talked, she all but jumped. "I...I beg your pardon!" She looked at the tree.
"Shake...Shake you?" She did as it asked though, going up and shaking it until something dropped out. Sure enough, she was rewarded, picking up the small fragement.
"Th..thank you!" And then she hurried away.

She had searched the area within a 5 tree radius, but there were no glasses to be found. It was very dark in here.
What could she do now? She didn't want to return with the bad news.
...Perhaps she should just move along for now, and keep an eye out for those glasses along the way.

"Thank you, oh my goodness, thank you indeed. Here, have this." It gives you a fragment and insists on giving you a hug, but the hug is very prickly and not very nice at all. +1 Fragment.
