Sally didn't understand the gentle look, but a smile was a smile. She nodded, walking back over to Tori with him. Anything to help a friend! And Dashner seemed much better now. She looked at Tori and tilted her head.

Tori looked at him questioningly.
Walking right up to him, both hands reached over and removed his sunglasses.
"Why don't you take these off, so everyone can see you're pretty eyes?"
She did want to give his his glasses back, as she felt he was hiding something for her. She looked him dead in the eyes.
"Are you hiding something from me? Keeping these glasses on says you are." She wasn't trying to be nosy, but she could tell something was off about him.

"All right, boos and ghouls, it's time to get this party REALLY jumping!"
JD Leeds clopped up to the sound system and started to work his particular form of musical mayhem. The music cranked up and all conversations ended. There was nothing anyone could do but dance! The cave vibrated from the rhythms JD was pumping.
"Woah!" Kai looked down at the ground as a bunch of glitter-covered pebbled started hopping and flipping around.
"What?!" Demona asked. "I can't hear you! The music is really loud!"
"WHAT?" Kai asked. "I can't hear you! The MUSIC is REALLY LOUD!"
He took Demona's hand and led her to the cleared area in the middle of the cave - presumably, the dance floor.
"I GUESS WE SHOULD DANCE!"
"WHAT?!"
"DANCE!"
"YES, I LIKE YOUR PANTS!" Demona shouted back.
"WHAT? NO, I DON'T SEE ANY PLANTS!"
"YOU DON'T SEE ELEPHANTS?! WHO WOULD BRING ELEPHANTS TO A DANCE PARTY?"

Jewels watched Kai and Demona as they took to the dance floor, then turned to Felix.
"Let's dance!" She didn't wait for an answer, grabbing the confused faun by one hand and dragging him over to the dance area.
The music was loud, which put an end to anyone questioning if she was ok, which suited her just fine. She wasn't going to let that demon girl ruin her night, no, this was HER party and she was going to have a great time regardless. She was certain the ghoul had only come to upset her, make her uncomfortable. Well she wasn't going to let it show, wasn't going to let the other ghoul win this battle of wills she was inventing in her own head.
"you may have him... for now... " She thought. "But i'm the queen around here and what I want, I get!"

Kai and Demona were getting down on the dance floor when Jewels and Felix swept onto the scene. The two newcomers quickly split the dance floor in half, filling up their side with some crazy, sweeping maneuvers. Jewels seemed to be staring a hole into Demona. What was up with that?
Suddenly, the music cut out.
"Uh oh, what's this?" JD Leeds boomed over the house microphone. "Looks like we have us an old-fashioned dance challenge!!!!"
Everyone else at the party cheered. Kai looked at Demona, who was soaking up the attention like a sponge.
"All right, boos and ghouls, you know the rules! First couple to trip up loses! Let's...get...BIZAAAY!" JD dropped the needle on a new record and the deafening bass covered the cheers of the crowd. Kai shrugged, feeling his shoulders sway to the beat. So it was a dance-off, then!
"Well, gotta give the monsters what they want!" He said to Demona in her ear as he pulled her in close. Kai and Demona had been out dancing with each other a lot before she'd gone to Grrmany, and performing was where Demona shined. Kai released her and she spun around out to the middle of the dance floor. Demona pretended she was holding a fishing rod and she cast it out to Kai, who mimicked being hooked in the mouth as he danced towards Demona, pretending to reel him in.

"WHOO! I love this song!!" That's what Roswell said about all songs of course! But He was living the dream right now! "Lets DANCE!"He took Melody by the hands and sun her around to the dance floor. For not having feet in water, she was a great dancer! Roswell performed some Disco moves pointing down then snapping his finger to the sky, all while dancing with his Ghoul-friend! Several other couples and individuals joined in as well. Moments later MAX Flashed his signal with a prompt *Beep!* of a New Text massage. Roswell couldn't hear the message, as all of them were audio, since the music was so loud. But MAX Provided a holographic image of Glen, and Roswell understood. "Looks, like it's time to go." Roswell motions to Melody, Pointing to him watch and then to the cave exit. It was time to go but he was happy he to to dance with his ghoul. He tried to tap Jewels on the shoulder to tell her they were leaving and what a stellar party it was... but she was too busy 'danceing off' with Kai and Demona. So he waved good-bye to her instead. Once outside into the fresh air, and far less noise, he smiled at Melody. "Maybe we did leave on time, looks like Jewels was about to go nuclear in there." He laughed. "But I'm glad we got to have our own dance. I sure built up an appetite, how about you?"

A dance off? oh it was ON!
She dragged the uncertain Felix around the dance floor, relishing in the applause and whooping from monsters as they crowded around to watch this battle of the boogie.
She shot glares to Demona as Felix pulled her into an elaborate sweeping dip.
"you can just dance your way back to grrmany" she thought to herself as she spun and pirouetted.
And her father had always argued those years of jazz ballet were a waste, HAH. True she'd only taken it up because the shiny costumes were so sparkly, but now... now those sprained calf muscles and years of being cast as background dancing tree monster were paying off!

"I didn't know you were so into dancing, Jewels!" he remarked breathlessly.
She seemed happier now, less down after the dancing started; but she was going so fast, it was hard to keep up, "Man, you're really into this!"

Tori shrugged at Dashner. Ghoul problems for sure. But that wasn't the time or place when at a party. She'd ask Dash all about it later... if eve wanted to talk...
For now, "Hey Sally. Looks like there's a dance off going on. I say we show them how to really let loose and move like the wind. What do you say, want to dance?"She held out her hand for sally to take, if accepted they would dance the night away.

Sally looked at Tori and tilted her head "A dance off?" she questioned. She looked at the others on the dance floor. Is that what it was. She shrugged and nodded to Tori "Sure, why not?" she said, taking her hand. They hurried out to the dancefloor and danced with the other couples.
Sally glanced at Dashner as they spun away from him. He seemed okay now, hopefully he'd stay that way. At least for now.

Monday Morning
Sally grabbed a couple books in each tendril, as she tried to finish the book she was reading for Dead Languages. She'd read it a couple times already, but she was trying to get a better grasp of what it said before the mid-term. She still didn't understand why everyone seemed to be freaking out about them, but they sounded important. Sally figured it was probably good that she wasn't freaked about it. With a shrug, she stood, closing her book and sticking it in her bag, along with the other books.
Just before she left the forest, she paused, glancing around. She felt the sudden disturbance, not sure where it was it was coming from. She walked back, glancing around for the source to the strange, yet familiar presence. Her iCoffin started glitching out then, making strange white noise type sound. She smiled to herself, stepping forward a few more steps as the tall, slender man appeared before her.
"Father!" she said.
Slender nodded as he walked towards her. He patted her head in greeting, "Daughter. It is good to see you are doing well." he said, smiling to himself. He couldn't put a tendril on it, but she seemed happier.
Sally nodded, "I told you father, call me Sally." she said, "Using names here helps with communication."
Slender tilted his head, but nodded, "Alright, Sally then."
Sally nodded, quicker, her excitement growing a little, "And you have to use a name as well."
"I suppose you are right. So what shall I go by then?"
Sally tilted her head, her tendrils flipping through pages of a book for some idea. "Hmm..." she clapped her hands together and nodded "How about Dave?"
Slender tried his best to not seem frustrated, or embarrassed by such a plain name. He let out a sigh and just smiled at her, nodded "Alright. Dave it is."
Sally jumped up once in excitement "Thank you so much! Oh!" she looked at her iCoffin, it still glitching a little though she could still make out the time, "I have to get to school. Some important tests today."
Her father nodded, "Go on. I will be here." he said. He waved to her as Sally hurried off to the school, holding her books close.

"COMMON MAN, I GOTTA SHOWER TOO!"Felix shouted as he pounded the bathroom door. They seriously needed more than one bathroom for all the boos.
"Trying to impress someone pip-squeak?" Fabian asked as he conditioned his leg fur.
"No! I just don't want to smell like I haven't taken a shower ina week!"
"Dude, that's exactly what happened," Fabian said, cleaning the funk out of his hooves.
"That's not the point! Common!" Felix shouted hitting the door again.
"Felicious Faun!" his mom shouted, "If you're making such a fuss, go shower in my bathroom."
"But if I go in your room, then I'll smell like you!" Felix yelled back. And that was the last thing he wanted.
"It's either that or you go stinking! You should have showered on the day you were assigned!
"But, mom!"
"No buts, Felicious!"
Felix groaned as he started to walk to his moms bathroom.
"At least you're going to smell beautiful," Fabian laughed.
Felix groaned getting in his moms shower to clean up so he wouldn't smell taking midterms.

Sally spent most of the day Wednesday walking in the trees with her father, telling him about her time at Monster High. He seemed more uninterested with the school, but still was willing to listen to her. "...and then they toss the ball across the field for some sort of prize," Sally went on, weaving through the trees, explaining about Tombcoming, "Then the next day all the ghouls have emotional freak outs over getting ready to dance in a crowded, dimly lit, yet well decorated and shiny, room surrounded by the other students. All while participating in a sort of... popularity contest." she tilted her head. Slender stopped, Sally stopping with him, and looked at her, "You seem to be adjusting well." he said. Sally nodded, bouncing a little with the excitement, "I've never felt the things I feel here before. I'm... actually having fun."Slender nodded, patting her head gently, "Its... all very unusual for me. Especially to hear you talk as much as you have since we've been walking."Sally nodded, "This is all I've dreamed of. It's so-" just then, her iCoffin went off in her pocket. She took it out, tilting her head, "Oh, Dashner.""Dashner?"Dashner Hawke From: Dashner Hawke
Hey ghoul! I was thinking. I can pick you up around 11 tomorrow? We can eat lunch and find something to do until dinner at Monster High in the evening. Does that sound all right?
-DH She smiled to herself, reading the message through the static. The Fangsgiving with Dashner was still sounding so good to her, she just smiled as she wrote back to him. To: Dashner Hawke

"Who's this Dashner?" Slender asked, suddenly curious and a bit anxious with his daughters sudden silence as she typed. Sally looked up at him before she could send the message, "He's a friend," she explained, "He showed me around my first day. He's been a huge help to me, all my friends have been." Slender tilted his head, "I'd like to meet him." he said, "And any of these friends you've been speaking of all day."Sally nodded, " Okay. I'll let him know." she looked down to finish the message she was typing.

She smiled to herself as she sent the message, "There."Slender tilted his head. She seemed really happy, but that was alright. It reminded him, somehow, of what her creature had said. But, he'd bring that up to her later.

Later on that morning...Dashner Hawke came to a landing in the forest. He smiled to himself, pushing his shirt in around the rim of his jeans. Sure Sally was a beastie, but he wanted to make a good impression on her father. He looked around, finding where he at least thought Sally lived. Hoping he was at the right place, he knocked.
