Makani Post 8 Makani lifted his hands to allow them to hover over Takoda's form as the injured Shifter was laid before him. He allowed his hands to move from side to side, getting a feel from his energy where he'd been injured and how badly. He gave a little sigh before he murmured, "This wounds... what sort of monsters did the Oban King bring here?" The fact that the man would bring monsters in general was a bit intimidating but the fact that they were enough to cause the damage that they had so far, it was truly frightening. When Sin'qua spoke up, making it known that the man before him wasn't a warrior, he lowered his hands to rest them against Takoda's form for a moment before nodding, "I agree, he doesn't have a warrior's build." He felt nothing like what Gyuri did for instance. When Sin'qua demanded answers from him he turned toward her, head tilting to one side in thought, before his attention was once more on the Shifter, "I am uncertain, perhaps he felt he would be of use healing on the front lines?" He couldn't really say though, wouldn't he have been of more use to everyone here? Healing those that needed his powers? Makani couldn't say because it wasn't his place. Instead he should probably just follow Sin'qua's orders, he'd heal his fellow healer and see if he could aid them here. Were he to help them it would take a touch of weight off the shoulders of the healers in the camp... that or he would leave to return to the battlefield. "Let's hope he doesn't try to run off once he's healed up." Makani said as he cast his healing magics upon the Shifter, "If he tries maybe we should have Gyuri sit on him?" They needed him here, not running off where he very well could get hurt again or worse, killed. Instead of worrying about the 'what ifs' that might come about when the man came to he would focus on getting him back on his feet first. Gyuri Post 8 Turning to look toward Makani Gyuri couldn't help but to stare at him, wondering if he was really going to be tasked with sitting on a healer. He really hoped not, instead he hoped that the guy would instead decide to help them out with what it was that they were doing. They wouldn't know until he was healed and came to though he thought to himself before he turned to look over at Borra who was looking a bit on the pale side. It was an impressive sort of feat given that he was blue skinned. Worry on his face he continued to watch him until it appeared as though he might get sick... "Borra...?" He murmured, reaching out to wrap an arm around him, pulling him closer, worry on his face. He slid his hand up to cover Borra's eyes, "Breathe." He didn't want to see the poor guy get sick and instead meant to shield him best that he could even if for but a moment. His job was to protect him after all, even if it was only from something like protecting him from the risk of getting ill. As he hovered over Borra and tried to help him to soothe his stomach issues he suddenly realized that the one called Antiope was calling for a huddle. Turning quickly he looked over at Eira who was already giving them orders to continue trying to help the healer, that she would see what was going on. With that she was on her way once more, off to get the news that Antiope was giving out. Eira Post 8 The fact that they were being called in by Antiope was enough to worry Eira a little bit. She gave the others a once over, watching as Makani and Sinny worked on healing a healer while Gyuri seemed to be trying to protect Borra from... well, everything at the moment. She gave a soft sigh before she said, "I am going to see what she needs. Keep working, we need more healers so we need to get that guy back on his feet." She told them, giving the wounded Shifter a glance as her brother worked on healing him. Certain that he would succeed she turned on her heel and hurried over to where the others were gathering. What was it that the woman was going to tell them? What was so important that she would actually call for people to come over to her when they should be working? It was a strange situation but she was guessing that it was likely something really important, that was the only reason she would call for such action, right? A part of her wanted to tell the Shifter Elder what she thought of the order but she would behave herself and wait, see what the new was, and then decide from there what she might say. If anything.

Mella post 9 with Wintra A little chaotic? Was the girl deaf? Giving her a strained smile it took Mella a moment to catch up with the joke. “Just a bit.” Watching the other brace herself Mella wished she was as strong as this weapon maker. “Not even remotely. Still I need to get back to making burn slave because at least that’s something I can do.” Cringing she motioned to follow the girl out. As soon as she stepped out fresh horrors awaited them. She saw some who had passed on and others who were being ferried in and out of the healer’s tent based on injuries they had and space allotted for the worst wounds that could be treated. A group was forming in front of one tent and it seemed like there was someone getting ready to speak. Not having a clue what it could be about Mella gently nudged the other girl and pointed. “Seems like there is an announcement. Bergchi please don’t let it be a loss we can’t bear.” Mella never even realized she gave the later sentence aloud. She wanted to go join the group for the announcement quickly before getting back to work, but if it was disheartening would she have the strength of will to keep fighting a losing battle? A single glance around was enough to turn her stomach again which was mercifully empty now and give her the answer. If she didn’t help this massacre would have no relieve and no balm for any of those hurt. “We should see this first then find the healer’s supplies. It might be important.” She sparred a glance back at the busy weapon smith feeling bad she had bothered her and was now taking up more of her time. Heading to join the crowd for the announcement she hung back so she could escape quickly and get back to her task.

Orpheus Solon And Makani can go take care of Wild dog Lash-kun [Ruelash] The young Ice man was very injured. Beaten battered, bruised, cut, and unconcious. Someone had managed to retrieve his blades, and they were bloodied too. Not with his blood, obviously, but they hadn't been cleaned off yet. A trickle of blood - his blood this time - came from his mouth, and he seemed to have trouble breathing, hinting at injuries within as well as without.
Ruelash looked almost peaceful in unconciousness as he was brought in. Almost. He still had an angry look to him that just would not soften. Direk had not come back with him. She was still out in the battlefield, kicking any stinky Obans that got in her way, and nimbly avoiding the creature's blasts. She was, though, making her way closer to the camp. Just in case. [Hijil] Hijil didn't like to think she was a burden to anybody. She would have brought herself in if she could, but her muscles screamed for more air than they were getting, and her lungs hurt with every necessary breath and Hijil thought it probably best to not move too much until she had been seen.
Oh, and there was a huge pain in her side. That too. A huge, blanket pain. She had protested but she had ended up in a tent anyway, waiting patiently for a healer to see her.
Perhaps it was because of the battle, or her own pain, but the screams around her seemed dulled. She half-closed her eyes, resting. Things were not going well, but there was little she could do about that now. So, she waited to be seen.

La'amu lapped at the water with gruff gratitude. Capramel or not, thirsty or not, water was very nice and refreshing. Also, the venerable capramel appreciated the gesture of respect. She was worried, despite herself, but she knew healers, and she trusted them enough to let them handle her boy. She just had to wait for him to wake up...Wakefullness stirred in Nuawahn like a small, fluttering bird in its nest at dawn. At first, there was a sort of groggy question. A series, really. Why did his head hurt? Why was his mouth dry? What was all that noise?
Then it was a sort of relaxed lightheadedness. He was alive, that was nice.
Then it was followed by a question. Why wouldn't he be alive? Whatever! being alive was great!
He opened his eyes - just a bit because too much more and his head would hurt again - he knew that for a fact.
"Mmmph?" he mumbled. He didn't know where he was, not that that was anything new. He travelled so much that he pretty much never knew where he was until he did!
He saw people.
People were nice.
Everything else was foggy still and it was so hard to think, so he didn't. He blinked, smiling mildly and confusedly, not wanting to move his head because when he'd tried, everything had swum around and around and he'd felt a litle sick.
Anyway, it was rude not to say hi to the people. "Hello." he said, weakly, blinking bleary, half-focused eyes at Uquin his throat felt scratchy and sore and even speaking had made the room do a little dance. Haha! A dance! But dancing rooms weren't that fun, actually, he decided, as his head began to spin again...

[Kaalnia] Kaalnia felt her exhaustion in every fiber of her being, body and soul. How long would this keep going for? How could it kep going? So many were dead already.
On her next run back to the camp, she saw a group of people clustered around the shifter leader. Said fibres of her being screamed for a break, a rest, some sort of rest, and she decided listening to an important announcement was as good a break as anything.
"Hey." she said, joining the throng of warm bodies - refreshingly warm after the cooling corpses she'd been carrying - "Whats going on?"[Dyakida] At some point she - and the people telling her where to go - had given up on giving Dyakida physically useful things to do, like healing or carrying or anything. She was too slow walking, and she couldn't see anything so she couldn't do the healing jobs.
What she could do was Listen, and so she did, keeping patients talking and concious until they could be seen to. She was good at that, keeping them talking, finding the threads of conversation and pulling it. Keeping them concious kept some of them alive, or eased their deaths a bit. And, at least, it distracted them from the pain.
She was good at listening, too, and she heard an announcement being made. She was busy with another patient, telling them things like 'its going to be all right' as the healers made their way over.
But she still listened to Antiope, anyway. [Peyla] Peyla chimed victoriously. Peyla had her attention and got nice pettings in return. Nice pretty leaf girl.
She chimed, shaking her head. Peyla wasn't lost! Leaf girl was lost! Leaf girl was found now! by Peyla! But Peyla couldn't tell her Alkidike yet, because the leaf girl was sad.
Peyla chimed, making a comically inquisitive face. Why was she sad? She flitted closer, hop-fluttering until she had to look up, up, uuuuup at the leaf girl's face. She chimed again. The leaf girl looked pale! Maybe if she ate something she'd feel better!
Peyla gave her a wave and, with a brush of wing-swept wind, fluttered swiftly away. It took her a little bit to find something yummy, but she did. She found the little bag of dried fruit in an injured person's pocket, but she didn't care about that. Half of it was gone by the time she returned to Pahana - she had gotten hungry along the way.
She landed, walking over to Pahana, looking into the bag for a moment before, guiltily, hefting it to her with a chime.

Winta - Post ThreeLocation: Outside of Weapons tent - Listening to announcement With: MellaA grin managed to make its way to Winta's lips for a moment when the girl responded. Apparently she wasn't completely beaten yet. That was good. "Everyone has something they're good for or good at. I used to make horrible spears that the air could break. Now? Well lets just say they're being used to kick some serious enemy tail." Winta said confidently before following the girl outside. The smell of death and blood filled her nose but she kept herself calm. It was a bit of a hard task to do since she could see piles of dead people littering the camp and even more injured being brought in when there was little room for them to begin with. The healers really did have their work cut out for them. Winta was pulled from her thoughts when Mella once more spoke. This time there was an announcement to be made and Winta realized that she might be needed to help. At least move bodies in and out or something. "Yeah, let's listen and see what we can do. Then we'll go find the tent." All the girl could hope for was that it wasn't an announcement about how horrible things were looking and what they would have to do in terms of that. Winta shuddered.

Ime - post 6
Ime was sitting on a cot, nibbling on her fingertips. People had started coming back hurt, and now it seemed it wasn't going to stop. She had never seen so much blood in her life, not even when she cut her knee real bad. In fact, she had seen a guy who didn't really have a left arm any more. That had been scary.
Scary for her meant it as scary for him too, didn't it? So she had felt a little sick and frightened, but went to him and took his free hand... his only hand while the others worked on him. She had sung to him, some of her favorite songs. He hadn't seemed to hear or see her, but he'd squeezed really really hard.
Then Mama had yelled. She'd pulled Ime away, and told her to sit right here. Mama had been crying. She had been bloody, but not with her own bloods.
This whole thing was scary. So scary.
She watched a woman enter and peered up at her. She didn't seem too hurt! Maybe Mama wouldn't care, and the man with one arm had been moved away for some reason, Ime decided it was probably because he had gotten better.
"Are you hurt?" she chimed to the woman. She stood and patted the cot. "I've got room!"
Yes, she would help! She'd be a healer like Mama soon enough!

Natsu post 13Natsu peered up from the man he was tending to and sighed. A huddle? Now? In this chaos? He shook his head and took Viveka's hand. "Let's go see if there's an update..." He said. "Maybe it's something positive?" Viveka post 13Viveka gazed to Natsu as his had was taken and nodded, silently. Hopefully it was something good, or at least encouraging. He was sort of numb from everything he was seeing, despite working his hardest to keep up. He looked to Finnley as they left the tent and stood amongst the crowd. "Maybe we'll have reinforcements come..." He said.

Pahana post 12Pahana couldn't really focus on Peyla, but moved towards where she had flown off to in confusion. What was it doing? She puffed out a small bit of air and paused when Peyla returned, carrying a bag of dried fruit. The green eyed girl giggled, though weakly, and took a few bits of fruit. "Thank you, you're very sweet..." She said, popping them into her mouth. "Where's your owner, little one...?"

Samoset post 13Samoset looked to Ikuri and offered her a smile, before taking her hand. "Don't worry, I'm sure she's okay!" He said. "Maybe someone found her and took her into one of the tents?" Kennet post 13Kennet went around Ikuri's other side and took her free hand, nodding along with Samoset. "Yeah, if an adult has her, she won't be in any trouble." He agreed, before turning his attention to Aysun and Chandra. "...Do you think we can play a game inside the tent? Like... A word game?"

[Biroki] Biroki looked at Uquin and nodded. "You're... right." he said. A breather. Yes. Right. Food. Water. He frowned.
Could he afford to take a break? His magic needed recovery time, he needed recovery time, but there were so many patients... Actually... Uquin was right. There was a lull - whether that was a good thing or a bad thing Biroki wasn't sure.
He set up some kettles with tea mixes. "All right." he announced to his group,"S-so. This tea here is an energizing tea, this tea here is a soothing tea..." he gestured to the kettles, "If I'm not back by the time they start to smell... uh... l-like tea, just take them off the heat and let them sit for a while." he looked around and then headed for the door, almost reluctantly. "I'll be back shortly." he said, "And, uh, if you can, you all rest a bit too, all right?"
he left to find something to eat - there wasn't that much at the camp, but as a sage, he did get something quick to eat and relatively substantial. He drank a glass of... well, it wasn't wholly water, there was something in it. Another stimulant perhaps? Serin knows, he needed one.
As he walked back to the tent, he noticed that Antiope had called a group together. That was likely not a good thing - things were more likely to get worse than better - but surely there had to be GOOD news, right? He wasn't sure hoe he hadn't noticed her talking before, but he decided to join the 'huddle'. A productive use of his break, he thought.Ikkio helped Senja with their latest patient, wondering what the battlefield was like. If it wasn't boring here, and the people were coming in from the battlefield, then the battlefield must also be interesting. She nudged Senja's hand and pointed to the group.
"What are they doing?" she asked.

Antiope cleared her throat and was about to speak when another runner came back from the front lines, aiming straight for Antiope. He rushed to her side and whispered something in her ear that had her face go solemn.
With another heavy sigh she turned to the crowd and addressed the crowd. "Alright everyone. We don't have much time. We're doing our best, but it looks like we're going to need to shift camp. They're coming closer and pushing us back." She signaled to all of the tents and the injured. "Pack up what you can and start moving back." She called out.
Everyone was to be moved further into the forest for safety.

Sathe (Post 16)
Sathe could feel her pulse pound at the approach of the runner to Antiope. It didn't look like good news. And she was right. But she would stay hopeful. She shook her head to clear her thoughts and tried to put a smile on her face. It was weak at best, but it would do.
She turned on her heels and rounded to her team. "You heard her. We're moving back. I'll grab the supplies, the larger of you, move the injured!" She called out in a squeaky voice. She took everything she could, nearly grabbing her body weight in supplies, or at least that's what it felt like, before moving with the rest of the crowd. She turned her head, looking for any sign of someone she may know, but she didn't see anyone. Luckily that meant that she didn't see any of her friends injured either.

So they were losing. There was a chill in her heart that could rival the coldest snow in Zena. Hugging her upper arms she took a glance at the bow girl who was helping her. “Herbs will have to wait. I should help the wounded get moved first.” She offered only a brief smile before heading back to the tent she had been working in before. She never even knew the other girls name but she was grateful that there was help available in the camp if she needed it. She passed the message along to others as she saw them. “Pack up we are moving back.” She knew in time the word would spread to the whole camp and it would be a mad house. Hurrying in she saw something strange in the healing tent. A Capramel and not just any Capramel one she recognized. “Amma?” Rushing over to her side she saw Nuawahn. “ NUAWAHN!” She knew she shouldn’t have shouted in a tent full of the injured but seeing her friend there and not knowing how hurt it was shocked and scared her. She saw Uquin was caring from him. She thought that was his name anyway. “We’re moving back. I-I came to help move the wounded.”

[Biroki] Right. Break over.
Biroki didn't want to think about what having to move meant. he fibnished his drink and his small cookie and returned to the tent. "F-forget the tea." he said, "We need to start moving patients to a new camp, and we need to get started now so we have a chance to get everybody...." He started organizing stretchers. "anybody who can walk, please walk. T-there are enough" still alive thank the gods "that we'll need many able hands." [Kaalnia] Kaalnia was not encouraged. She was terrified. Not going well? Being pushed back?
Crap. That meant that they were losing.
Crap. That meant her sisters would be losing.
She suddenly found herself not carrying the dead, but the living, which was an improvement in a sense, but also hard as anything. With the dead, they were beyond hurt, and a little roughness wasn't going to hurt them much more. Not that she wasn't respectful, but she did stumble a little, not being used to carrying bodies.
The living, though, they were so delicate. As she helped with a stretcher, she worried that she would somehow screw up and end the lives that depended on her to get them to this new camp. She tried not to, but she swore that the stumbling was hunting her because she kept doing it. She bit her tongue to keep from cursing and focused on putting one foot after another. One... after another.
