Paper Satellite Actually, I probably should have posted a LONG time ago, but got a bit sidetracked, sorry. ^^; Ren Yamachi

Food! And he could be thrilled about it as well, because he would have company and that would lessen the irritation he felt.... considerably! "Alright! To the curry bread! The only curry bread! The only curry bread for me!" He stated happily as he took the girl's hand, leading her back towards the city with a big smile on his face. Yes, he could actually enjoy his meal today, enjoy the curry bread without the torturous moments of feeling angry about what happened mere days after he moved into this town. Also... the only reason he ended up staying due to his unique form of kindness. You can't throw out stray cats. He thought to himself, referring to something other than the girl he was pulling along behind him. Yes, this was his new friend that would be staying with him, the friend whom he offered his home to, since he had a home now. He turned and smiled towards his new friend. Oh! What if this helped solve his problem as well!? What if this girl was his savior and he could finally reclaim what is rightfully his!? However making her pay rent would make him feel terrible... despite the fact that he figured she would pay rent regardless of whether he wanted her to or not.
Oh well, we can discuss those things after we start moving her stuff in. I'll make sure to charge her the bare minimum if she really insists. He thought to himself happily, convinced that she was the answer to all of his problems and that she could help him.

Sighing at the male's statement, Alana frowned and glanced back at him, annoyed. "You shouldn't assume things of people when you don't know their past with being abandoned themselves..." She said flatly, lifting her eyepatch, revealing the scar across her mismatched silvery-grey eye. She had received that injury from her father. Alana had noticed he had been staring at her eyepatch. She didn't like when people stared at her. Re-covering her scarred eye, the girl frowned. He was staring again. Alana let out a frustrated sigh at the male's comment as to why she asked his name before he gave it to her. "Yes, well.. Nice to meet you..." She replied.
As to the male's comment about their paths not crossing, Alana sighed. "I'm generally alone here." She replied, petting the kitten's head from inside her jacket. "Not many people want to get close to someone that looks like me." She muttered, looking up at the sky. It was starting to rain pretty hard, like Stahl had said. Nodding at his suggestion for being indoors. "Sounds good, but where should we go?"

Diving deep, we'll make these late nights memorable..." Alana's comment was met with another raised eyebrow from Stahl, but the smirk that had followed a little later did not make an appearance. He didn't need to be a genius to connect the two dots, though it was not like he could vocalise his thoughts one the matter as the woman before him started to lift the eyepatch. There was no deep crimson eye there, nor was there a lack of an eye...what was revealed instead created more questions than answers. Once again, Stahl remained silent, observing her with nothing more than quiet contemplation. He like to see what made others tick, but he wasn't stupid, asking such things so personal to someone he just met was out of the question. Luckily, the mood had lightened a little, at least on the black-haired male's side, when Alana sighed at his comment, very few people reacted differently. Her comment about others not wanting to come close to her, mostly due to her appearance, he shrugged lightly. "Appearances do have a lot of influence on the first impression I suppose..." He said under a light sigh of his own. Admittingly, had he seen Alana face-to-face first, his immediate thought would be that she was one to cause trouble. It was not, however, her appearance that caught his eye first.
When asked about where to go, Stahl was already drawing a rough map in his head. He could easily have just flown out of there, but that would leave Alana and the kitten out to find their own way under cover. There wasn't enough cover on the boardwalk, after all it was mostly an attraction for people wanting to be out in the open. Their best bet was to get inside somewhere close. "The College isn't far from here. No way around it, we're going to get wet, but it's close enough for that not to be a big issue." He explained as the rain started pouring harder. Though he had to squint a little to keep the water out of his eyes, it appeared that most people had already headed out. Though this was a place of safety, there were always those people who were nervous around other races, part of him wondered if he should've confirmed whether or not Alana was part of that category first. With a mental shrug, Stahl closed his eyes briefly. With a sound that was some part like a quick gust, some part like bone shifting and borderline cracking, Stahl let his wings reveal themselves, unfurling quickly and with enough force to make a small spray of droplets fly out behind him. They shuddered once before he lifted them up, bending one over his head whilst the other did the same for the space beside him, Stahl gestured for Alana to come. "They're no umbrella, but they're the best we've got until we're inside. Just keep in pace with me and we'll probably be fine." He said over the rain, waiting for her decision before he moved.

Nodding solemnly at the male's reply of appearances influencing first impressions. "Most people think I'm some sort of heartless b***h, by the way I dress and I act. I'm not heartless, but..." Alana paused, smirking slightly as she petted the kitten in her jacket. "I do meet half the qualifications." She joked slightly. Realizing it had started pouring even more rain as the male stretched his wings out, Alana smiled gratefully and took shelter under one.. Wait! WINGS?! He had wings! Pushing back her curiosity and urge to ask a million questions like a kid would, Alana remained silent for a moment. "I guess you've got a few secrets of your own, huh?" She asked with a chuckle. "Probably the best luck I've had in years, running into you." After stating this, Alana turned somewhat red in the face and looked awkwardly at the ground. "W-what I mean is..." She stopped short as thunder boomed and lightning shot across the shy. "N-nevermind. Let's get to a safer place!" She continued, shielding the kitten in her jacket from any harm.
