"Oh how fun. Two brother and sister duos doing what they love. I really will make time to come and visit soon. It sounds really fun.~" He wondered what it would be like to run a business with his siblings. He studies plants, his brother makes chocolate stuff... his other siblings are too shrimpy to tell what they are going to be doing yet. Six sibling, even it were half of them were half siblings.... might be to many.
"I'm willing to try anything, even none mint related drinks. I trust you can make a tasty drink none the less." His ears flicked as looking rather shocked from his bold comment. "Oh... um. Well I'm sure I'm not the best at judging my brother's looks... but thank you." He fiddled with his words his words a bit trying to come up with the right thing to say. Gorgeous... he had never heard anyone say that about him before. Pretty, handsome, but gorgeous was new.

The unicorn took another sip from his champagne glass before smiling, internally quite pleased that he'd talked enough about the bar to get Rosewrite's interest in going. Even if it wasn't a date, he'd at least secured the opportunity to see the cutie again and that was awesome. It gave him some confidence about trying out this whole dating thing again, after he'd been so worried since he'd screwed up with Hydrangea and hurt the poor guy. When the other phony was surprised by his compliment, he spoke up again.
"If I ever met him I could be the judge of that, but really, you are gorgeous, Rosewrite. I'm sure I'm not the first to tell you that during this speed dating deal, but I mean it. And not only that, you seem like a nice guy that I really would like to get to know better. I don't wanna sound pushy or anything, but if you'd be interested, I'd like to take you out sometime. I think we're hitting it off pretty well in a crowded place like this, so why not try spending some time where it's just the two of us?" His tail flicked as he asked the question, hopeful, but he'd understand if he was turned down.

Well... he was the first tonight. The only other people who showed interest was Spica, whom he liked very much... Her daughter who was trying to hook them up and now Fruit Punch. He wanted to get to know Fruit Punch, even if it was just a couple of dates. Was that selfish of him? His tale flicked as he mulled over his options.
"I think, I'd actually really like that." The stallion nodded his head for sure in his answer. "I want to be honest that I do have a crush on someone and I don't want them to be out of my life... but I'm willing to try things out with you." He offered a smile to the handsome stallion.

Fruit Punch couldn't help but grin happily when Rosewrite accepted his offer to go out sometime. He wasn't currently seeing anyone else, but the idea of keeping things casual was very much relieving for him. He nodded with complete understanding when Rose said that he was currently crushing on somephony else. "It's alright. I was honest on my form; I'm not exactly over my ex at the moment, so I'm not expecting things to get serious right off the bat. If they did though, that'd be cool. I'd be more than happy to have you on my arm." He winked at the pink phony, finding it fun to so openly flirt with someone but he wasn't trying to make Rosewrite uncomfortable.
"But alright, you've probably had enough of me hitting on you so much. I'll give you some time to talk to somephony else. That really was my number I wrote down, so just call me whenever you're free or drop by Cloud Nine. I'm there more often than not." Having scored a date, Fruit Punch was feeling rather accomplished this evening. He figured Rosewrite might want some breathing room now, and to possibly consider some other options on the dating menu.

She knew he'd be there. Creatures like him and her- they thrived in these places. In the dark corners, sticky with residue of sugar and broken promises long gone- in the quiet places lit by bare bulbs, hidden behind dumpsters- in the bare-walled administration buildings repurposed as speed-dating venues- they thrived there. This was where they belonged, and they belonged with each other.
It couldn't be permanent. Both of them knew this, and to want anything else would be futile. The universe couldn't remain in balance with these two forces of nature constantly swirling around each other in a vortex of grease and sleaze- but tonight, the storm would rage. Tonight was the apocalips. Tonight they were going to Ragnarok each other so hard the planets would align, the world would be at peace, and the Beatles would get back together.
It was as if a pair of rosy spotlights brought their universes to a tight circle that encompassed just the two of them, the sweet sounds of harp music, and some spontaneous roses. She grabbed the smooth, smooth sex bomb and smooched him right on the mouth. "For you, baby," she whispered, "no charge."
