Ignazio checked his watch and stood up from his chair, after talking with Lloyd for several hours and explaining the situation about the half demons, Akemi and Alaric; the full and complete story about what his familiars told him in confidence about the two demons, Ignazio also explained how he doesn’t believe they have any idea what their true identity really is, but he wasn’t planning on letting it slip out and even threatened Lloyd a few times if he thought about letting that information slide from his lips. Ignazio didn’t know either Akemi and Alaric very well, so all he could do was speculate and go off of what he knew, and that wasn’t much. ”Anyways Lloyd, I have to get going. Titus and the others will be waiting on meet in the courtyard and seeing how the underclassmen dorms have a lights out policy, most if not all the students should be in their proper houses by now.” Ignazio placed the books on demonic history and breed on the metallic cart he used to bring them down from the second floor and turned and gave a kind smile towards Lloyd. ”You know, no matter how stubborn you are, or how annoying that cat is, I can’t find myself to remain angry with you for a long period of time.” he said before chuckling a little before looking up at the glass ceiling and staring at the night sky. ”I miss these times, you know, just being outside in the grass in the middle of the summer, breathing in the night air, and just relaxing. No family obligations, just us.” He said within a low tone before his head lowered and he started to head for the exit and waved to Lloyd slightly as he adjusted his gear.
During their chat, Ignazio had managed to create new talismans with different spells written in Sanskrit on the sheets of paper, and had placed them into his blazer inner jacket pocket. Soon the male checked his throwing knives which were attached to a small launcher under his sleeves and then remembered his ankle holsters. The young tamer seemed like he was ready to take on either a small army or a massive demon. Whatever it was, it would be no match for him. Not now after he had reestablished his confidence in his abilities and knowledge on his present situation. Ignazio knew where he stood, but that still left the question on where he stood within his own group of ‘friends’, a term Ignazio used lightly among circles; even the term comrade was almost taboo in his vocabulary. The cold face of one whom dealt with demons was back, as his Qi flared around his body for a second, giving a bright flutter of golden orbs, before vanishing. Ignazio continued to check his body and equipment until he reached the main doors of the Library. Before placing his hand on the exit and stopped himself and turned around to face the location where he had left Lloyd. It was a far walk, but not too far, something was weight on him. It just so happened to be about his choice for the Exorcist Qualification Examination. The whole time they spent joking and talking about the present and the past, they never brought up the Exorcist Qualification Examination, after their initial talking. The fact Lloyd never brought it up, made Ignazio believe that he was planning on entering solo, and then it made the young Tamer think for a moment at the door. ’Has Lloyd, surpassed even me, and hasn’t mentioned it at all?’
Shaking his head, the fudge colored locks shook, left and right and soon he raised his head proudly. ’If Lloyd is going to enter alone, then I shall do the same. In hopes that we shall fight one on one, just like the old days. Besides, it wouldn’t be fair for me to have a team, when I practically hold a small army within my grasp. They are my team, and my friends.’ Ignazio thought as he took a firm hold on to the door and pushed it open. As he exited the library and entered into the library the door locked behind him and the red light sealed the keypad. Ignazio took in a deep breath and began to walk towards the very exit he used to enter this section of the Academy, which lead out to the courtyard where he had arranged to meet everyone. ’Tsukiumi, Garuda, Innocentius, and Hyorinmaru, please lend me your strength and wisdom.’ he thought as he reached a glass door and pushed it open slowly and entered the warm fresh air of the night filled sky. Ignazio took in a deep breath before his eyes narrowed and he focused his sight for the direction of the fountain and began to walk off, towards his temporary team.
Once again, it seemed that his words had been mixed up somewhere along the line. While he was trying to convey that his family bribing those in charge of the Exorcist Qualification Exam, Ignazio had heard it as the Yggdmillennia Family bribing him. To start, he could not be commanded by his family to do anything. If he did not wish to do it, then that was it. His family would complain and argue all they wanted, but they would not change his opinion at all. However, his explanation of what his family would do along with how he would just follow without a word annoyed Lloyd to no end. So much so that Celebron had opened his eyes. While he would not look at Lloyd, his eyes were open just so he could see Lloyd through his peripheral vision. Like with Joushi, Celebron had never truly seen Lloyd lose his temper, and with who was in the room, he honestly did not want to see the male lose his temper either. But, much to Celebron's surprise, Lloyd's facial expression did not change and nor did seating or hand posture. He remained in the same position while listening to the male continue on and on. What gave him the right to assume how his family worked? His last name being Barthomeloi? For someone on the outside looking in, he was in no place to stand there and speak as if he knew every rule or custom of the Yggdmillennia Family. If that was how it worked within the Barthomeloi Household, then so be it, but his family was not the same.
"Splendid. As long as there was some sort of warning, then I will not feel bad at all when the battle has ended. Although, I do hope that he can use his sword very well against me. It has been quite some time since I last dueled against someone." While his rather unpleasant thoughts would not subside for quite some time, he had been trained to push them to the back so that he could focus on what was important, and that, was exactly what he would do. Using a yawn as his excuse to release the breath of air he had been holding onto, he looked at Ignazio once more in order to take in what he was talking about. "Correct.." spoke Lloyd as he waited for the male to finish his statement about mid-level demons. "By what you are saying, you believe that someone summoned whatever it is that has been making the noise heard by all on the campus?" Surely no one would have been stupid enough to actually summon something that they could not control. Given how the noises sounded, and their intervals, it was obvious that whatever had been summoned had been left in an area somewhere near or perhaps even in the school. The instant in which Ignazio stated the rumor that the Biology Club believed, he could not help but laugh slightly. If they were in the cram school as well, then they should have known better that to think that a Chimera had been created. Like Ignazio had said, if a Chimera had been born then dead bodies would have piled up already. Not to mention, every other Cram School student within the halls of the academy would undoubtedly follow the trail of dead bodies back to the creature itself. Then, it would have simply become a matter of contain and control until an Exorcist of a higher ranking could handle the situation.
Naturally, of course, there were some among their Cram School that could probably go against a Chimera, and one of them was in the library with him. "If I am to tell the truth, as always, I would not say you are wrong in your assumption of what is happening. Whatever has been summoned, by its sounds, has probably been here for a while, and only now are we actually starting to hear it. The bigger question would be who summoned it, and wy? Then, why not get rid of it, unless they were killed by whatever they managed to summon before the seal could be erased." The ending of his words had lost the amount of sound that his first few words had possessed due to it actually being meant for his thoughts and not to be said aloud. From that the two males talked for hours, mostly about his new demon friends, and despite not having any real information on the two of them, he seemed completely capable of coming up with various assumptions. When the male began to speak for what seemed to be the last time, it almost sounded like an actual apology, and then things went south. While he let Ignazio reminisce, Lloyd had begun to grip Durandal's sheath rather tightly in order to control his frustration towards the male. Watching as the male left the library, he waited until he was sure Ignazio would not be anywhere near the door before his grip on Durandal loosened. "Lloyd? Are you alright?" questioned Celebron as the small Cat Sidhe walked over before sitting directly in front of the young Knight. "That depends Celebron. It really depends." For a moment, he could see his familiar turn his head in confusion, but as he did so, he could not help but smile at how cute the small animal seemed for once. In fact, for that split second, Celebron looked exactly like he did when Lloyd had found him all those years ago. Although he had a mean exterior, this was the cat demon that he had seen within and the one that he had rescued while putting his own life in danger. "Never in my life.." began Lloyd as he stood from the table. Picking up Durandal from the table, he held his arm out for Celebron to climb up to his shoulders before he pushed in the chair. "...have I never seen anyone come close to trying to apologize by calling out what they believe to be the faults of others. I would never have been mad in the first place had he not acted the way he did, but it is not like me to hold a grudge anyway. To think that he may have been trying his hardest to hold that grudge against me for speaking up almost makes me want to laugh. Almost." His words were finished with his usual smile before he made is way towards the exit.
Pushing through the door itself, he stopped momentarily in order to check the clock that had been hung on the wall for the students to see. It was finally time to train the demons that Ignazio felt himself obligated to teach. Or perhaps, he was training them in order to use them in combat when he needed, for it was not like him to do something, often, simply out of the kindness of his heart. However, it mattered not since that was his oldest and closest friend, and like he had said, he would not let a small argument ruin said friendship. Slapping his cheeks twice, he exited the library before heading towards the courtyard as well. "Alright Celebron. It is time that I taught a demon how to properly swing a blade. Are you okay with not fighting, since I believe it would be rather unfair if you were to use your mastery over illusions in order to make it rather hard for the male. Given how Ignazio had asked, I doubt the male has a lot of experience with a sword." Stopping to look at his familiar, he saw the cat give a heavy nod before pushing his paw forwards as if signalling the charge for an army. Nodding his head, Lloyd proceeded through the Academy till he came upon the courtyard. Training had officially begun.
Her pace was quick over the cobbled pathways. Lamp posts illuminating her windy path around the academy, in truth she had gotten a bit lost- having only arrived a few days before hand. Her things largely packed still as the girl had spent most her time in the library reading. A rare luxury as far as she was concerned.
Eventually the sight of the familiar old bridge came up- leading to the great library. Her steps were silent as she crossed the creaky planks, only sound betraying her presence was the opening of the grand doorway. Causing the librarian to look up from her own work, a cup of coffee in hand. However once seeing it was only Naira the librarian's gaze shifted back to the books before her- a faint smile on her lips.
Naira slouched into her chair and switched on the lamp on her table before grasping at the bag behind her back. Unceremoniously dumping its contents along the length of the table. The dark haired girl then propped a textbook into the angled holder before her before pushing it back further onto the table. After arranging her things the girl folded over the table surface, not unlike how a student would sleep in a boring lecture. Her chin resting upon her folded arms as she adjusted the lamp to shine upon the worn pages of her book. The girls feet dangling, as she wasn't quite tall enough to set her feet on the ground. Naira shifted her phone to the opposite side, setting it to project the image up so she could observe the action. The commentators words ringing in the girls ears- their words hyping up their favorites, discussing things she had just missed. Evidently the first point had been awarded and she had managed to miss a particularly interesting affair- one she could only hope they'd show again.
A small message box appeared over the Vatican stream of the Exorcist Exam, reading only that she had a new email. A pale hand lazily reached out to grab the small device as a hand faintly touched along the top of her back. The brown haired girl jumped about an inch off her seat as she spun around to see who had bothered her, a wild look in her wide eyes. She was surprised to be greeted by the face of the librarian, the woman looked clearly distraught, perhaps afraid. The half breeds look of bewilderment quickly changed to one of confusion, words quickly rattling off her tongue, “What’s happening..?” Naira asked the older woman, a slight stutter to her words. The older woman responded moments later, “The Academy’s under attack, you need to get out of here.. I have to lock the library..” She said, her voice not hiding the guilt she felt. Seemed a little obvious the School may have valued the books contained on the shelves opposed to the lives of the student body.
Naira could only shake her head slightly as she turned around once more, her pale hands grabbing at the bag she had only minutes before dumped her things from. Although to her surprise the librarian had drawn close to the table, quickly picking up the brown haired girl’s things and throwing them into the bag. ‘Why are you rushing me like this…?’ Naira wondered to herself as she sat still, holding the mouth of her bag open for the older woman. A few words coming to her lips, her voice emotionless, “What sort of things are attacking…?” she asked, unsure she wanted to know the answer.
“Kin of Iblis… Now get out of here!” The librarian cried out as she lightly pushed against the girl’s shoulder before taking timid steps back. Naira didn’t need the prompting to leap from her chair, she didn’t look back to the older woman- not wanting to show the fear in her face. Not wanting to admit that every hair on her body was standing on end. Kin of Iblis.. Perhaps the worst possible type of demon to attack the school… The kind of demons that spewed fire like it were air… ‘Why can’t it be kin of Anyanaka.. Or Amaimon. Why does it have to be fire spitters…? I HATE FIRE.’ The dark haired girl thought to herself as she slung the bag over her shoulder before running towards the far side of the library- her footsteps weaving through the aisles of books shelves. There were apparently a few other students in the library this morning. Each, seemed to have the same expressions as library attendants spread the word. Others seemed to hold their phones before them- obviously the mail that had gone out was about the attack. The half breed wasn’t surprised when she heard the soft echos of sirens going off.
The sounds only got louder as the girl reached the door that lead to the hallway. A look of surprise crossing her face once more as she ran down the halls, her path taking her towards the main hall… The smell of ash and smoke only getting stronger… “Where are the other ‘exorcists’…? Where are the teachers or even the headmaster…?” Naira complained softly to herself.
