Jinthel nervously watched the teacher walk away, then looked at Echo to see the boy was writing again. She edged a little further away from him, but didn't try to answer his question. She didn't think they could be friends, but that's what she thought about everyone who tried to be friendly with her at first. When he walked to her stuff, her eyes widened slightly, but she still didn't run away.. Yet. She was still rather tired from wandering around the school with her heavy bag. It didn't weigh all that much, but it felt heavy to her.

Jinthel flinched a little when Echo's bag fell open, but then she blinked and looked at it in surprise.. He had a lot of random stuff.. She quickly looked away though, worried that it would make him mad if he saw her looking.. That was one of the things that scared her most about people.. They could get very angry, as she well know. She blinked and frowned a little when she was asked if she had seen a diamond, but she shook her head.. Until she noticed he seemed to be freaking out. Then she looked around until she realized it was by her feet. She looked down at it, then at him, before gently giving it a small nudge with her foot to make it slide across the floor to her.

Jinthel continued watching Echo nervously, but after a long pause, she slowly nodded as a response to his question. Really, it seemed like he was going to follow her around whether she wanted him to or not, so she decided she might was well accept his offer. She blinked and her gaze flicked to his bag, then to his face before she slowly leaned forward a little to look at his collection. She jumped and drew back quickly when he grabbed her hand, but stopped and looked down to see he had put the diamond in it. She wavered between just dropping it and running away or staying, but eventually she nervously held out her hand and dropped the diamond into his bag before taking a few steps back. Perhaps how talkative he was being, and the fact that he'd been following her around so much, was making her get slowly used to him...

Jinthel clutched her umbrella in both hands as she watched Echo. She frowned, then went to pick up the map the teacher had tried to give her earlier. She looked at it, then at him and shrugged a little. She wasn't really sure where to go even with a map..

Jinthel looked at Echo and hesitated, before nodding. She looked at his hand, but didn't take it, instead gripping the long handle of her umbrella tighter. She might not being running away, but she wasn't going to hold his hand either. She didn't know where her dorm was either... She slowly nodded again to answer his second question, then looked around with a quizzical expression. She had no idea which way the dorms were either.. And since she didn't know where they were, the map she had didn't help much.
