"That's just cause we are murdering them Jordan." Rep argued weakly, they were nice maggots really, they'd been well behaved and done little other than eating what he had needed them to. Fear exposure seemed to make s**t go really weird after a while. Maybe it was why so many hunters were completely ******** mad.
Kostya and Taym's snark did not go without note, he was glad of the help, though did wish sometimes that it wasn't always people who had reason to have vendettas against him entrusted with his things. "I do have a ******** minipet." He wasn't about to shop Massacre in however just in case accidental harm came the little cow's way. He tended to assume everyone else thought the way he did, just to be safe. "These were more, hobby aids." Nothing stripped flesh off bone like bugs did.
He was finding that out himself right now.
"What are you apologising for?" he said to Harrison as he lashed out at yet another bundle of writhing bodies.
He shot Milo a glance. "Aye. They are. Or were. While they were alive."

It seemed like Taym always showed up just in time to hear the worst bits of Jordan's interactions with Rep. Jordan gritted his teeth and didn't bother responding to anything, grimly swinging Ferros into the writhing knots of bugs. Bugs that had apparently been living next door for who knew how long.

"Some ******** hobby. Smells like the inside of an abandoned abattoir in here." He was, at least, making himself useful despite his need to offer up unsolicited running commentary. He dispatched a cluster of biting maggots neatly and efficiently, running them through as if he were stringing up a kebob, then pushing them off the blade with the toe of his boot and giving in to the urge to gag, more from the smell than anything.
Fionnghal was a now-familiar thrum in his head and he lifted his voice in general question: "Anyone looking close to a busted shield?"

He kicked a bug clear across the room and into the wall, bristling and feral, the stress of having so many people around possessions he'd formerly kept under strict lock and key really getting to him. "It's no my ******** job to make things smell fragrant for people who aren't ******** manly enough to handle it."
Fishing what looked like a lamp made of potentially human arm bone from the heap, he switched to wielding Tracey one-handed.
Harrison got a concerned look as the bristling rage smoothed over."I wasn't trying to put either of you in danger or anything. They were small at the time, I used them to clean skulls and s**t. And what exactly is mess? It's someone else's standards."
He turned and took his irritation out on another pile of bugs.

Kostya couldn't withhold a snerk at Taym's comment, mean-spirited as it was. He shook his head once, firing off another round of electricity at a bug, wincing as it exploded into guts.
No guts no glory, they said, but what if Kostya had never wanted any glory to start with?
"Hobby," he repeated, almost incredulously. "Taxiderm."
Another blast, and Kostya mourned for his white shirt and the inevitable stains that would surely mar it forever. He should have worn a black one.
"President America, not to be offense, but not even priest vould do much. Perhaps run." He squinted at the writhing masses all around and muttered his favourite word of the month: "Harrowing."

Taym had never actually tried to use Fiona's charge without smacking whoever he was healing with the flat of the knife. He eyed Harrison, dangerously close to Tracey and to Ferros and to an increasingly-ravenous mass of maggots, and he decided that there was no time like the present to see what happened if he tried from a distance. s**t, was Fionnghal's frustrated response, the curse causing Taym to visibly startle for no outward reason. "No go," he barked at Harrison. "Tough luck, she tried."

America opened her mouth to argue, but in the end just had to agree with Kostya. Gross. She took a step back and nearly fell into something. Gross.
"So blow torch, then? We can't have this mess stay on our doorstep, it's like a damn bio-whatever bomb that'll just keep going off." Gripping the bladed ball, America punched a large bug into the wall. "We've already got enough repairs down here to worry about without making this s**t a monthly get-together, damn!"

Milo also sort of stepped away from Jordan, and what also seemed to be delving into some personal problems with a few of them he really didn't care to know about. Lalalalala, squishing bugs that were okay to squish, that didn't seem to be squishing him back.
Though he was okay with a blow torch being used to solve this little issue, Milo did remember what happened last time.
