Nibbling on her dessert, the redhead would continue to listen as she realized not only him but pretty much al his siblings had to undergo such risky trials for no valid reason. At least not for her. Nothing was worth harming your own body. At least not in her own policy. But she didn't knew the facts. And as much as she wanted to rant about this, she knew it was all in the past and that there was nothing she could had done back then.
The cheesecake not only tamed her hunger but also her temper. which was why she had been more quiet and more of a listener towards Axel.
"Are you taking care of your eye?... I mean. I may be beyond repair but that's no reason just to toss it aside. It could get infected if you don't give proper care."
This time, her words sound more as genuine concern towards Axel's welfare rather that complaining or raging about it like last time. Desserts had always carried a soothing effect on her.

Alex happily ate his cake, the somber subject havig no effect on him. Most of the time, he personally couldn't care less for his past, he just liked scaring people about his eye.
"Oh, it's closed up and eveything... It's just sort of hurt. Instead of normal Eye fluid, it's blood, so it's kinda just a weird gross red eye."

Reiko nodded hearing her new partners interests. They seemed pretty common, well other than singing. Maybe she was a talented singer? Reiko wanted to find out eventually. She finished off her water and set the glass down "Well you seem like you are going to be a great meister. I look forward to working with you more." She smiled kindly at her meister. She really did think they would make a great team.

She was uneasy at first watching Axel eat happily as if nothing happened. Giving up in the end with a deep sigh as she decide to leave the topic behind.
"It's not gross it's just a life scar"
The redhead replied, no other words so far. Thinking about it she came to realize. She went around the eye subject perhaps too far.
He may have a reason to not mind it, so why would she?
There was dessert to be eaten. Why to spoil the mood any further.
"T-thanks for sharing a spot with me..."
Replied Melani, once again no other words so far. She was ashamed to may pushed Axel on this. Overthinking as she always had. The blush would not stop itself from hatch. Turning her cheeks pinky and messing up the way she talked. She decidet to remain silent and enjoy her slice of pie.
She wasn't very brilliant talking or managing emotional conflicts, so it was just natural for her to lock herself up, unable to talk or stop the fluster. She would just eat her pay, hoping that Axel wouldn't notice much that part.

Alex continued eating. How he was able to stomach the morbid subject of his eye made even him wonder how messed up he was sometimes.

The PIE was delicious. She was finally back into her senses with a happy stomach. Turning around, she would manage to mumble for a bit before actually speaking back to Axel.
"I-i...I mean it, it was really helpful!"
She mentioned before looking at the hour.
"I probably should get going... Nice to meet you Axel."
The redhead said as she paid her part, setting the money on the table along with a tip. Standing from her sit before bowing at the red eyed guy.

Suddenly his face went dark and he clutched his right eye, doubling over.
"AGH! ...Guess there's something really strong..." he said to himself. Using his eye, he narrowed the strength he was feeling down to somewhere in Japan. Something horribly powerful.
(We could meeet up to fight that thing in Japan)

The redhead was about to leave when she heard the small struggle Axel had with his eyes, which made her stop.
"Are you alright? Do you need anything?"
She asked obviously concerned.

Reiko shrugged slightly "Ummm we can go to the training field at the DWMA to see if we are a good team or not." The training field was a really common place for new teams to go to learn or just to practice already known techniques.
