Indeed it was as Krishna had suspected that Qiuyue was more in favour of purchasing one of the kiku plants rather than the lone flower itself based on the way the conversation was going, though it wouldn't be terribly difficult to convince her to get it as well be it in the name of charity or some other reason that the shrewd booth owner managed to come up with subsequently.

Reaching forward with her hand, she pressed her finger against the soil much alike the way that he had shown her, a pensive expression on her face as she next rubbed her thumb over it so as to better appreciate how it felt like. Interesting. This was something that she could handle comfortably enough. Her mind was already made up even as Krishna handed her his business card along with the answer to her earlier question. "In that case, I'll take one of these then. Would it be alright if I pay for it first then swing by to pick it up just before I leave the con later?" Padma's Bouquet. She would definitely stop by the shop at a later time just so that she could see what else he had available.

"Certainly, miss," Krishna assured her with a small smile. It was logical not to want to carry around a flower around a busy convention, no matter how hardy it might be. The first sale of the day had been made, and he believed he had a solution to giving her a flower as well. For the moment, he offered her a towel while he opened his unused reciept pad. He uncapped a pen and placed both instruments on the empty space of the booth in front of her. "I will need your name and phone number at the top, in case I need to reach you. The plant is ten dollars; for being my first customer, you may also choose one of the loose kiku or morning glories for your braids."

He turned to the next two customers in line, whom he had overheard but only barely. "A flower?" He asked, as confirmation for what they wanted... and then, as was his wont, he made a suggestion. "Perhaps a morning glory," Krishna said, after taking a moment to examine the vibrant suits of blue, orange, and white they wore. "Or an orange kiku? Both would match your outfits."

Micah bounced nearly out of her skin as her turn finally rolled around. Everything was so pretty and fresh and lovely and wow. Behind her, Misha smiled at the attendant to try and make up for the manners his little sister had evidently forgotten to attend to in her excitement.

“It’s like babysitting a toddler,” he offered, his dire tone betrayed by a grin as he snatched his sister’s hand before she could touch the delicate petals. “What did we talk about Little Bird?”

Micah went quiet and blushed deeply, pouting her lower lip at being caught. She looked decidedly away from Misha and answered, “Don’t touch things that aren’t yours.” She didn’t look back to see Misha nodding his approval, instead focusing her pout on the wall opposite him, bouncing her weight impetuously on one leg.

“They’re beautiful flowers, sir. Did you grow them yourself?” Misha ignored his sister’s pout in favor of trying to strike up friendly conversation with the booth attendant. “If so you should be very proud. What do you think, Little Bird?” Misha slid his hand down from Micah’s wrist down to hold her hand loosely as if she were a child in danger of running off. Micah remained silent until Misha tugged on her arm, pulling her closer, reminding her to be polite.

Micah considered the flowers for a moment before she sighed, “They’re prettier than you.” She smiled brightly, finally, at the attendant and positioned herself so that her back was to her brother, effectively blocking him from conversation.

“I think they’re both lovely,” she gushed once she’d all but shimmied Misha behind her. “So what I think would be a cool idea is if I wore a blue one in my hair… one of the… morning glories?” She looked to the attendant for confirmation that she’d gotten the name right. “And and orange Kiku in your lapel. That way Wheatley and Chel always have a little bit of each other.”

“It’s like you’re trying to spend all my money.”

“A little bit, yeah.” Micah didn’t even turn to answer her brother, instead opting to focus her attention on the man behind the booth.

"Well, I'm glad. Because it got really... you know what, I'll shut up now. She's fine, you're fine, we're all fine. Right?" Scott didn't like being left on his own, but he couldn't argue with a superior officer. For now, he tried to focus on the customer at hand, and she was making it extremely easy to do so with her questions. Mothra? He could talk about that, easy!

"Well, it depends on the translation and which production it is. Most of the time, Mothra's a female, and she's usually kind and motherly and takes care of the Earth," Scott said, feeling himself ease up a little now that it was a topic he was more familiar and comfortable, and with no Richard breathing down his neck, he could go on as long as he needed to without feeling like someone was mocking him! "She's the Earth's guardian, you know. Well, in most productions. She never had anything against humans and often tried to protect them, even from themselves. The other Mothra actually comes in from the stand-alone Mothra movies... there was also a different King Ghidorah in those movies that often acted as the villain. That's where Leo Mothra, the male one, comes from. Not to be confused with Battra, from the Toho productions in the late '80s and early '90s... if you like Mothra, you should see the stand-alone movies. They're recent and pretty good, but-"

His mind wondered and he felt out of breath. Had he really been talking to her for that long? He didn't usually get this out of breath talking to others. Her question helped reign him back into business, and he hung his head to try and hide his embarrassed blush as he pointed to the various shirts. "Uh, yeah, they come in large. As for recommendations, uh... there's the Re-Animator shirt, if you've ever heard of it. It has Jeffery Combs in it... oh, there's also Birdemic, and Snakes on a Train..."

He looked for a large of the Godzilla shirts, wondering if the large one would be for her, or Harper... did it matter? Richard would want him to upsell, but then if he finished the sale, she'd leave! Then who would he talk to?

Ruthie's eyes sunk to the floor. Why didn't he speak to her? Didn't he care? He must have cared more about selling. Right. With the chocolate. Obviously. A pawn. He used her for sales. Only sales. Didn't care about her at all. Nope. Not at all. She frowned and glanced at the booth.

Except.

Wait.

He wasn't there?

He just a bit away.

"Oh." She faced him, smiling, half from the joy of seeing him, half from trying not to cry. "Hey! Richard!"

Be calm, be calm. He probably didn't mean to ignore.

Both of these new customers talked... quite a lot. Krishna made sure to keep his face passive even as he was trying to determine their relationship. Pet names seemed indicative of lovers... but their matching looks bespoke of a familial connection. It did not matter either way, but it was an aspect of his people watching that he could excercise while listening to their banter. Finally, a couple of questions he could answered arrived, one from the boy and the other from the girl. "I did," he answered to whether he had grown them all. "Those are morning glories," he confirmed, as to what the blue flowers were called.

Both were intently interested in the flowers, and the concern for money was made evident. To sell both would mean two more cursed flowers attached to two very energetic individuals--and more advertisement for his wares. "Each kiku and morning glory are normally three dollars each; I could give you both for five dollars, if that is more acceptable?"

Penelope was a good listener on most days. She was always eager to please, and if a waiting ear was all that someone wanted, she could always supply. Most of the time it was interesting. Anything someone was passionate about could be heard in their voice and made the conversation engrossing. Given that she already liked Mothra to begin with, learning more about her favorite giant monster was fascinating! Her smile widened as she listened. Mothra sounded like exactly the best kind of monster for her, a protective guardian. "I will, it sounds like I'd really enjoy them."

She had never seen any of the movies that had t-shirts at the table, but she recognized the name that he mentioned in context to one of the movies. "Jeffery Combs? He does the voice of Ratchet in Transformers Prime!" Now it was Penelope's turn to nerd out a little, as she looked closer at the Re-Animator shirt. "I do remember... it was a while ago, at the beginning of the series, they had Ratchet invent a glowing green Synthen that looks sort of like the stuff on the shirt. I didn't know they were referencing this... oh, and I guess that ties into how Synth-En could be combined with Dark Energon to reanimate the dead. How neat! Is it good? Maybe I should add it to my movie watching list too?"

"That's it? 'Hey Richard?' Ruthie, dear, you wound me," Richard said, with a mock expression of pain on his face and a hand over his heart. It didn't last long, though, before he was smiling once again, and he gave her a playful wink to show that he only meant it in jest. He placed both hands behind his back, trying to give the illusion that he was strictly here for business, but his voice told a different story. "My apologies for earlier. I was with a customer and my cohort was making a bit of a mess that I had to recover for."

Speaking of his cohort, he risked a glance over to the booth and pondered when he'd be done with the sale. The business man in him wanted it done and over with so that Penelope and the bad blood she caused within him could be dissipated, but the man that loved pleasure above all things was begging for Scott to hold the line so that he could further indulge conversation with Ruthie. Then there was the curious side of him that pondered if that gleam in Scott's green eyes was what he thought it to be, and why it seemed to grow the longer he talked with their guest.

"But I think he's getting the hang of things. Pray tell, what brings you here? You didn't come just to see me, did you?"

"You'll have to be resourceful to find the Mothra movies, though. She's not as popular here in the States as she is in Japan, at least compared to Godzilla, and finding her movies was a pain," Scott said, speaking from personal experience. He then whispered, "I had to resort to Youtube for the most part. But I'm sure you can find them. If you ever want to watch them, I can help you find them. Mothtra's an awesome monster and it's always nice to see a monster that protects over one that destroys..."

He hadn't really thought much about that, but there was little time to dwell on it now. His interest was peaked when she seemed knowledgeable about Jeffery Combs and the mention of his name and Transformers being in the same sentence almost made him shout. "What? He's in a Transformers show? I'm a little behind... I don't get anything beyond basic cable and I haven't really had time to look up what I'm missing. But that's cool... I bet he's just as hammy in that show as he was in the Re-Animator movies."

Green eyes lit up with fascination at her knowledge of the show and her ability to put two and two together, despite having only seen one of the references. "I haven't seen that show, but I bet you that's exactly what they were referencing! That's so cool of them to tie the two together... and Dark Energon. I think I need to watch this series... catch up on my Transformers too. It's been so long! Is Frank Welker and Peter Cullen still going voices for their respected characters?"

Perhaps there was too much enthusiasm within him, but besides Isha, Scott didn't have the chance to let his inner geek show and it be accepted, and while Richard was away, he was determined to get as much out of this as possible. "You should definitely watch it! It's one of the few movies I own. I kept renting it so much that they just sort of gave it to me after awhile. I can lend it to you, if you'd like?"

Penelope leaned against the table in her excitement, taking in every word that he said about Mothra. She was fairly certain she could locate the movies on Youtube... or have someone else more skilled locate them for her, now that she knew where to look. "If there's a particularly good user who hosts the Mothra movies... that would be most helpful."

"I wouldn't say hammy but... very animated and fun, yes! As for the other two... Peter Cullen and Frank Welker are Optimus Prime and Megatron, yes, but... well, not exactly the same as they used to be?" The girl twisted a strand of her thick hair around her finger, a frown of concentration on her face. How did one explain characterization without spoilers? It was difficult, but she tried. "Optimus Prime is wiser, older... and Megatron has much better diction. They're both still good, and it's wonderful to have them back, don't misunderstand! It's just different."

"That'd be great! I usually end up watching more movies at movie nights than I bring... and I'm sure Harper would like it too." Penelope was quick to accept the offer when made, her smile bright full. After a moment, she tapped a finger against her lip as she thought. She couldn't very well just take one of the few movies in his possession without offering him something in return. It came to her in a flash. "Oh, in return... I could loan you my DVDs of Seasons 1 and 2 of Transformers Prime? The first season is better but... the second has some good episodes, too. The third season hasn'tbeen released yet or I'd loan you the whole thing... but by the time you get through the other two seaons maybe it will be. Do you think that would work?"

Marlin laughed at Castille's comment "Wandering around in costume's not for everyone I guess" he said, "I'm kind of used it to as I dress up pretty much on a daily basis." He contined, adding "I work in a costume shop and dressing up kind of comes with the territory - Dad thinks it helps sales." And it could be pretty fun dressing up as a different character each day.

He nodded at Castille's comment about an elf, but shook his head at her query about him being a fan "The films were pretty good" he said, "But I wouldn't call myself a particularly big fan. I loved the costumes though - the level of detail is amazing" he continued adding, "I can only imagine the hours it must have taken."

Although he'd glanced at a couple of the stands, Arian's main focus had been trying to see if he could find Orah.

In fact he'd been just been contemplating getting his phone and texting Orah to see if she was at the con when his phone buzzed with an incoming message.

After fumbling for the thing from the pocket next to the one holding his glasses, he stood off to the side for a moment to read through the message before typing a return text.

I'm here. Where are you? I'm by a few stalls near the main entrance. He thought on it then added I'm dressed as some character called Nuriko, but sans the wig. He was starting to hit the word limit as he added I'm wearing contacts but they're not coloured.

There was only a couple of characters left in the allowance before it went into counting as two text messages so Arian hit send, reckoning he might as well hang about where he was until he heard back from Orah.

Her phone binged twice in her hand, vibrating as replies came in to her mass text message. Orah flipped her phone open as she tucked her broom into her elbow, tapping open the first message, then the second.

Wonderful! Her friends were here, and now she had a general idea where they were.

I'm coming over with Arian, She sent to Gwen.

I'm by the entrance too. I'm Kiki with a bright red bow. She replied to Arian before she tucked the phone into her bag, looking around for the familiar dark hair.

She thought she might remember who Nuriko was... Fushigi Yuugi was a popular anime/manga and she'd read the manga before. She loved the romance of it, and the beautiful clothes the characters wore... though, when she remembered which character that was, she wondered which outfit Arian would have chosen to wear. Surely he wasn't here dressed like a woman... was he?

"Arian!" She called as she waved an arm above her head, spotting the familiar dark braid. Weaving her way through the crowd, she made her way to his side and was sort of relieved he'd chosen to wear the more masculine version of Nuriko. It would have been hard to keep a straight face if he hadn't.

"Gwen is over by the Hunger Games booth with Anandi. Wanna head over there with me?" The teen said as she shrugged her kitty backpack on, trying to juggle her broom.

"So sorry!" Ruthie laughed. Delightful wink from delightful man. She bowed. "Honored, my liege." She smirked and met his gaze. Red. He smoldered, warmed her, like candlelight, or maybe, a fireplace. Bold. Bright. Charming and good. She straightened up. "You're selling? Do you have a fandom, flirtatious man?"

Certainly, she harbored a tiny, small, fragile crush on him. His play and swagger and poise reminded her of normalcy--that she attended class and read textbooks and shopped for cardigans. With him, she could escape leaping from rooftops, roaming train tracks and torn fukus. He made her...stronger. Braver. Willing to take on the enemy--to protect him from gray-hooded women who broke arms and tore hair.

He hid his hands. No hand-touch then. Very well. She'd make do.

"I'm always happy to see you." A man sold flowers. "I'm hoping to win this raffle." Elves laughed. "Are you entering?"

It was always great to find others to talk about his interests with… or just talk to at all! Scott was completely besides himself and had forgotten completely about the sale and his duty for the time being, as he continued his chat with Penelope. "That's good to hear about Cullen and Welker. I'm not sure if I'm a big enough fan to be considered a hardcore or true fan, but I always liked them as Optimus and Megatron."

Her offer was tempting, and he didn't spend too much time thinking on it. He'd have to make the time to get them in, but maybe Isha would like to join with him too? Was Isha even a Transformers fan? Maybe he could sneak them in every night after his patrols and homework? It was worth a try. "That sounds like it's be great! Maybe after the convention we can meet as McDonald's or someplace and exchange dvds?"

Gwen looked down at her cellphone and her beaming grin got even brighter, if that was even possible. Orah and Arian? This should have been interesting, and not to mention it made Gwen feel a tad bit better now. After the Carnival, Gwen was slowly becoming suspicious of every single event that went on in Destiny City, and in case youma and officers started springing up from the booths, she'd at least feel better knowing that the PSSG would be there on the job.

He chuckled at the notion of having a fandom, and he explained as best as he could without trying to insult her or others around him. "Oh, no, I'm merely assisting another. Though, if I had to have a single thing I enjoy that would label me a suitable attendee of this event, I'd probably say James Bond, and Rocky Horror Picture Show."

He wouldn't go on about how he contemplated on putting on his Dr. Frankenfurter costume, though, as he was certain that she would spend too much time imagining him in such a garb that she'd not listen to a word he said. "No, not today, though I'll admit that the offer is rather tempting. Besides, I would not wish to take away from your chances of winning. That would be so rude of me!"

Richard then offered her a hand, as he asked, "Would you like an escort for wherever you wish to go, my lady?"

24 Hours Notice!
Hello, Everyone! I hope you enjoyed the event thus far!

in about 24 hours I will compile lists and do the raffle rolls, so consider this your chance to track your IC raffle tickets and submit them to the raffle babes! Just spoiler your total obtained raffle tickets at the bottom of your tags and I will initiate the next phase of the event tomorrow!

As one of the few raffle attendants, Adrain was inclined to seek out his fellow attendants and either compare notes, hit on them, or gloat triumphantly when he'd sold more tickets than the other two. However, one was clearly out of the picture, while the other looked to be harassing a redheaded man for his coat. Though he would've called out to her, he lacked a name for that glorious face, so he tried to wave her down instead. However, a young girl steeped in yellows caught his attention instead.

Adrian flashed one highly-practiced charismatic smile to the girl who acknowledged him with her own brand of grin. Violet-haired thing, a little sheepish, maybe nervous. Didn't matter too much, really; he liked all types, especially the blonde he had the pleasure of working with on this fine day. Through the majority of the day he kinda hoped the tickets were enchanted to drain energy, considering some of the rowdy folk that turned out to these kinds of events, but upon seeing her, he was finally glad they weren't.

If anything so much as looked at her funny, she might pass out. Oh well, better stash the chanced glances toward her assets for now.

"Hey beautiful," he greeted, though he was sure various individuals surrounding the booth would perk up to his voice, "staring's free, but you can buy a smile with a ticket or two." Who wouldn't flock to him with a suave line like that? Proud of himself already, Adrian leaned against the booth's counter and flashed the girl a series of tickets pinned between his fingers, sleight-of-hand style. "One of 'em might have my number on it, babe."

"I should'f expected to see you here, Poe Allen," he replied with a dry smirk. How fitting that she picked that particular pseudonym... Did she choose it knowing that it tied to their first encounter, or did she simply fancy the veiled reference? Bischofite wagered the latter, but considering how quickly she quoted the famous author in his presence, his initial opinion began to change. She knew exactly what she was doing. "Zat name suits us more zan it suits you."

Despite her mood, Bischofite sighed. She touched on an event that he still suffered greatly in confronting himself, yet she pried about it as if it were a joyous affair. Was she unaware of the ramifications for becoming a youma? Did she not understand the exorbitant amounts of energy required to overflow the soul into transcendence? Apparently not, for she treated a promotion, his final promotion, with such trite enthusiasm that he would've bet his fingers that she'd forgotten his aspirations toward youmahood. Degrading as it was, he could not summon the wherewithal to berate her for her callousness.

"Yes, it's... Not what I would'f picked." He wasn't at home here, not in this bizarre convention setting. Not with the plethora of people swarming outside, frothing over their favored fandoms. Not with Po here, in such a public venue, where peers still stranger to him could view their conversation and discern their connection to one another. Not with the skulls and feathers and golds of Bischofite displayed, acting as a beacon for any wayward senshi.

So he shirked that visage. No longer was he Bischofite - for even shadows have their place.

Now swathed in false skin and a curious cage of a helmet, Alois found it marginally more bearable to loiter in these premises. "Strange getups aside, I sink I haf' an idea to make zis place a little more lively... Walk wis' me, I'll explain it to you as we go." While he spoke, he headed for the door to the main area of the convention, where the throngs of visitors indulged themselves.

Beejoux

Sirsce found it difficult to navigate the convention, due to the amount of people present. So many of them seemed to know each other - from the staff, to the booth owners, to the wayward costumed kids who ran into old friends here. To say Sirsce didn't feel the least bit jealous wasn't entirely true - she would be terribly lucky to run into so many people she knew here, but considering she was still relatively new to the city, she didn't hold her breath. Besides, a convention was a wonderful opportunity to make friends! She could visit all the booths she liked, and run into people of similar interests along the way!

At least, that's what she told herself.

In reality, the typically energetic girl was reduced to crippling shyness in the wake of all these strangers, and found herself stuttering through the crowds in a series of 'sorry's and 'oops'es. During that time she spotted a handful of displays that she found marginally interesting, but the prices discouraged her from partaking - considering that she had no job, she was confined by allowance.

However... Once she smelled the food cooking, hunger overrode any possible budgeting plan she tried to stick to. Now in a rush to sate her wild urge, Sirsce peeled her way to the turquoise-haired girl's cooking booth, where she spotted a variety of delicious dishes just across the convention floor, in a cafeteria setting. Once a beeline to the makeshift food court became available to her, Sirsce made a dash for the area and reached the threshold relatively unscathed.

One run-in notwithstanding... That was a pretty good result.

"Um, excuse me..." She hailed in her sheepish tone. "I'm like, totally starving... Um, what do you recommend? The sushi looks good, but the ramen smells amazing..." Sirsce sighed; not only was she terrible with conversation, but her stomach plagued her with a series of growls audible to all but the closest individuals to her.

Stroud at least had a very keen awareness of her surroundings, and noticed when her designated partner was waving her attention from their little podiums. Perhaps it would be time to get into uniform and out of cosplay soon?

Pity about the civil service bit. The Room WOULD be 'hotter' if he didn't have that jacket on. But she'd waited on Caleb's attention long enough, and needed to serve her post. that was sort of the excuse, anyway. She cut through the crowd back to her blonde cohort with ease- her body was narrow and curved like a knife.

The little purple girl he was hocking to was a nice little morsel. Let him have his fun there, and she'd have hers- and ascended their little set up again. "Buy two tickets and I'll trade Hot Legs here my uniform's skirt for his shorts. Now who wouldn't want that eyeful?"

These things always have plenty of undertones and BL, which would sell tickets. Not that I would mind myself. She winked at Adrian.

Well, it wasn't so much a smile as a smirk, but it was certainly better then nothing, and Po gave him a suitably enigmatic grin. "Does it?" Cheeky b***h. "I'm sure I have no idea what you're implying." Lies. Her words said one thing, but tone, and body language said quite another. As much as the pseudonym had been inspired by their early morning exchange, she hadn't been entirely sure she'd be running into him at this little event. It had been a flight of fancy sort of decision, one she was now quite happy she'd made.

So it was to be condolences she'd be offering in regards to his promotion. She noted the sigh, his over all mood, and her smile faded into something quite a bit softer. "I'm sorry." In private she might have said more, but not here in the thick of things. He'd been open and honest about his aspirations to her, but that did not necessarily mean he would appreciate his business aired in such a public setting.

Personally she thought the feathers looked nice, but further touching upon the subject would have been deliberately obtuse, and coarse as she could be, she wasn't insensitive by nature.

So she let it go.

If he wanted to talk about it, that was fine. If not, that was also fine.

As the general faded and the young man emerged the girl gave a low whistle as she took in his appearance. Was it ironic that the costume in her locker was from the very same series? Or just an interesting coincidence? Hard to say, but later, when she was on her break, They can play villains together. She ran the tip of her finger along the central ridge of the helmet as sterling eyes lingered on everything below it.

Walk with him? Of course she would! Dressed like that he would be lucky to get her off his tail. "Oh, do share. You know I like things lively." She fell into step beside him, resisting the obvious temptation to reach out and see just how realistic that false skin felt.

Later..
