"What's down there? Keep your weapons close to you, but don't summon them, not yet." She paused.
"Are you hurt?"
Sasha started to pace, chewing her lip as she did so.
"Is there an exit down there?"

Jerry gave a groan as he tried to stand, but his ankle protested. "Dylon... could... could you give me a hand? I think my ankle's busted. Can we even get busted ankles? I thought-" He drew in a deep breath. Keep focused. Right.
He finally fumbled with his own flashlight, skimming it around the contents of the discovered room- dungeon- whatever. "Goodness, would you look at all this stuff! Someone could live down here easily." Hopefully there was an exit, or he and the trainee were about to become roommates for who knew how long. "I'm... I'm not sure if I can walk without um. Help." He looked around for anything he could use in the meantime as a crutch.
What a way to start off their trip. "Are you okay, man?"

"We're okay! I think.." Dylon winced as he called up to Sasha. "Here, man." The trainee hooked his good arm under Jerry and helped him get up, letting himself be used as a means to lean on. "Jerry hurt his ankle! My wrist isn't much better!" He called up again, letting Sasha know of their predicament. "It's like... 30.. 40 feet down? Like a dungeon... boxes of stuff... booze, apparently... OH GOOD I see some stair-----oh.. NEVER MIND they're broken..." Dylon sighed, looking around for something. Anything. "There's a huge broken gap in the stairs. I don't think we can jump it."

Sasha ran her fingers through her hair at Dylon's description of their situation. "Don't touch anything! Just stay put, stay quiet, and stay out of the alcohol." She turned to face Wash, Evan and Matt. "I know of a ladder." Sasha pressed her lips together. "We'll have to go get it. I think at least one person should stay here with them, just to make sure that they're not alone if someone comes back." Sasha crossed her arms over her chest. "Wash, I'd like you to come with me. Evan and Matthew can stay here with Jerry and Dylon. Unless we run into a problem, Wash and I shouldn't be that long." Her voice cracked. She was trying to be optimistic, but she felt nothing but dread. "If someone comes back, do not mention the fact that you are from Deus. Come up with some other story. You mustn't mention Deus. Do not summon your weapon unless you absolutely have to."

At the mention of the B-word, Jerry's head twisted with enough force to almost knock both of them over.
He quickly regained his balance on his good foot, letting off on Dylon's shoulder a bit. 'Right. Don't... don't touch anything."
Damn.
"We should at least keep looking around. Where do the stairs lead? Can they even get a ladder down here? Whoda' thunk there'd be a big place like this under that little hut!" Babbling at least took his mind off of his ankle and the oppressing darkness around them. "Think there's any er... torches or something?"

The trainee nearly lost balance as jerry swerved his head to the booze so quickly, giving him a befuddled look in the dark. "Understood." Dylon called up to Sasha, shifting under Jerry's weight. "I feel like lighting torches is the worst way to remain undetected, Jerry." Dylon said with a light chuckle. As if talking and flashlights were any better, he supposed. "Stay put, and stay quiet." He murmured softly, giving the older hunter a short pat on the back.

Jerry's expression turned gloomy at the slap to the back. "See if you can at least find me a crutch or splint or something?" He couldn't argue... at least Dylon's injuries left him mobile. He felt useless as he eased away from his grip to take a seat on the stone floor. Maybe someone had some runic bandages, at least, once they rendezvoused again.
"Don't... go too far, though-" He added quickly. The last thing they needed was the trainee falling into an unseen trap, and him unable to do anything about it. He could hobble if need be... But Sasha had said not to touch anything- damn! "Never mind. Probably not a good idea." Again, the look of disgruntled depression. "So um. You're new? We haven't exactly had a chance to be properly introduced..." And who knew how long they'd be stranded there before reinforcements came. "Jerry Collins, Sun Division," He offered a hand and a wobbly smile.

A crutch? Dylon looked around him as Jerry eased himself back down to the floor, his dark eyes feebly scanning what little they had. He was about to step away when jerry changed his mind. With a shrug, he sat down across from the injured hunter.
Dylon gave a smile, nodding as he shook Jerry's hand with his good one. "Yes. I woke up a couple weeks ago. My name is Dylon West. Moon Division. Pleasure to meet you, Jerry." He replied softly.
"They tell me Moons look out for Suns. I know I'm wet behind the ears here, but I have your back, man. Count on me."

He glanced around, feeling paranoid even with their hushed voices to talk further, "I'm definitely glad you're here so far, ahahah." Two weeks awake. Two weeks of power outs and miserable conditions and shadow attacks... "I'm sure you'll get into the swing of things pretty quick!" Or he'll be dead.
If this place was as awful as Sasha had made it out to be... the poor Trainee was looking at some serious trouble. He'd have to keep an eye on him, even as Dylon watched his back. "Hopefully they'll get things sorted soon."
He glanced to the piles of boxes and bottles flickering in his flashlight's array before digging into his pocket for his water bottle and took a small sip. Whatever they took with down the hole was going to have to last them until Sasha rescued them.
Keep his mind occupied, "You play any instruments?"

Small talk. Dylon didn't mind that at all. It helped ease the whole injured and trapped theme happening. "My dad taught me a little bit of guitar growing up. I was a DJ at a downtown club for a year or so too." Dylon said freely without realizing the gleam coming off of the hairy man.
"I'm guessing you like music, since that seemed to be the first thing you brought up." A quiet chuckle escaped him, wincing slightly as he rubbed his sore wrist.

Jerry suddenly grabbed Dylon's uninjured arm, their flashlights obscuring his eyes behind his glasses as he hissed, "You play guitar??"
Now the kid HAD to live through this.
He let go, collecting himself just enough for a desperate sort of giggle, "I ah... yes. Yes I do. I ah... used to teach it." That was the easiest way to put it, right? Distraction from their predicament or not, he wasn't sure it was the time nor place to REALLY start on the topic.

Dylon flinched back as Jerry grabbed his arm, his mind immediatly thinking they might be in danger. But as he looked around, Jerry said something else entirely.
"O-oh. Yes. Ha ha, I'm no master or anything, just silly little strumming. I can also play the main riff for Iron Man." He chuckled lightly, nodding his head. "But power cords are like the easiest thing ever so.."
Dylon smiled brightly at Jerry, "You did? That's so cool. Was that your job, or just a side thing?" He asked with interest, leaning in.

"Er... well, I was full time at this elementary school but ah..." He coughed, "Only for um. A short while." He left it at that. No use uttering the word 'recruited' in hostile territory. Nor embarrass himself with the circumstances of his being fired. "If you want, when we get back I could show you more!"
If they got back.

"Yes ma'am," Wash replied, and there was none of his usual teasing tone. Sally was a silent presence in his mind that seemed to radiate concern, adding to his nerves.
He took a deep breath and let it out slowly.
"Take care o' him," Wash added to Evan and Matt, pointing with his thumb back at the hole.

"We'll be back," Sasha muttered quietly as she slipped past Evan and Matt. The instant that they were alone, Sasha turned to Wash. There was little color in her face, and her lips were a tight line of tension. "We're going to the chapel," her voice was low and rough. "It's the last time I had Nona, and I'm not sure what happened while I was there. There was a rope ladder there, one I climbed down. Keep Sally ready, but don't summon her until we need her."
