~Blake Lostvelle~

Blake, kept an eye on their surroundings for any sign of danger as they walked with Enya in tow. The mad one's comment about them making a great couple, this only caused Blake to smirk. However for his reply to it, Blake wanted to play it coy. " which two would you be referring to? There are many in the team who which would make a great couple." This was Blake's off handed way of turning the comment into an actual discussion, mostly to stave off boredom. Plus there was the extra added benefit of getting the Mad ones perspective on something that they clearly knew nothing about.

Once they were far enough away from the main group, blake no longer felt the need to wear the gloves. He slipped his dagger into his sleeve so his hands would be free to remove said article. As one glove came off, he watched his companions for any reaction. Normally, when he did remove gloves, those that were aware of his true nature would take a step back just out of reflex. Plus with only one woman to their little mission team, the impulse to touch her was quite low so he could simply resist the urge.

Asiri felt a faint vibration at her feet. She looks down at her feet like they'd tell her what's going on. She looks up, behind her group, and dashes to keep up with them. Isadora must have felt it too when she halts herself and Aidan. She holds her breath when she was told to stand still.

The vibrations were harder when Asiri did, maybe they were closer to the source. She notices the Draconian motion her arms forward and a blast of fire ejects out of her hands. The nymph flinches at the sight and when the stomping creature stumbles away. Isadora commands them to move forward, which Asiri silently agreed to.

Asiri lets out the breath she forgot she was holding and follows the Draconian towards the mountains. The nymph felt secure with Isadora leading their group; she felt Isadora knew these surroundings as if she'd live her previously.
It's good to have a confident leader, Asiri thought.

Starstruck would best describe the young human on team three. She was chosen for these games, and the gods only knew why, but here she was, and with many beings who oh so severely outmatched her. Demons, a Draconian, an Elf, that was odd, and a being who defied description. To say she was out of her league would have been, at least to Saria, an understatement. As far as necromancers went, she was proficient, more so than many of her craft, primarily because many who practiced either died young or went stark raving mad, at least all the others she had met. For her to be chosen due to her sanity was one thing, but apparently her dear one had made it clear the king and queen expected very great things of her. She was far too timid to say anything to the rest of her team, at least at the moment, she would scope them out first. They were all, regardless of her personal thoughts however, worthy of her loyalty and respect. All of them were her betters in age, skill, and power, almost certainly so. She would give them that much, even as she learned about them.

She almost jumped in shock when Morpheus spoke to her, she had been rather lost in thought. She simply nodded as he asked for some minor undead to be raised as a distraction, a trap so to speak. She knelt, babbling the hideous tongue of the dead, and the dead answered her call, ancient skeletons, players from games long past, rose to answer her call. They were mere humans, at least originally, but they still bore the trappings of their original stations. An ornate sword here, a tattered command cape there. They would serve as a fine distraction, maybe even a bit more if they came upon the enemy unawares. One of them had a glimmer of intelligence, and she ordered that one to have them remain concealed as best as possible to spring a trap on whomever came by, assuming it was no one on her team. The skeleton nodded, then they headed off to hide.

Saria turned to Morpheus, smiling timidly. "Was that... was that right of me Sir? I hope you are happy with my services." She walked over to stand besides and slightly behind him. She was going to stick with him for now, and serve him however she thought best.

Aidan followed the women in a rushed speed deeper into the forest towards the feet of the mountain. He looked behind them and noticed nothing was following them. He slowed down and looked up at the sky. He sensed the springs not to far. Good that there was water around. Aidan came to a halt, closed his eyes and sensed any energy of any other shadows near them. Nothing to worry about. He looked up at the women who were still running towards the mountains.

"Why are they in such a hurry," he sighed as he continued to walk towards them. Their shadows werent to far. He could just use magic to catch up to them quickly, but he needed time to meditate. What strategy could he use to find his item quickly. Magic was the certain answer. Tho it worried him that the other mages in the games could figure out his tricks easily.

The recluse of a demon remained silent this entire time. . .and from what he noticed, they seemed to disregard him after a while. His hand was now held out in front of his squatting figure; a miniscule, pale blue flame in his hand with the same likeness as a candle. The dull, slate blue voids he held for eyes seemed to stare blankly, as if he was contemplating something. He heard his name was mentioned in regards to being a scout. . .which he already was aware of. Perhaps everyone else needed to know? He clenched his fist as the small amount of smoke wafted into the air from his hand. With a flick of his wrist, three moderately large acupuncture needles nestled between his fingers. Of course he wasn’t going to waste any energy, because throwing these in the proper place took little effort at all. ’I must read their inclinations. . .’ he thought as his eyes darted to observe the others, finally standing on his own two feet. With his somewhat impressive height of six feet and four inches, his gaze rested on the group. That he would have to act ‘civilized’ with. . . that was a joke, this fiend being civilized. But at the current moment he had a better track record than the male of a voided face. Surely he could acquire someone worth conversation. . .the lustful fiend wasn’t quite up to par. . .nor was the other that hit his nostrils in a horrid manner. The females? Bah, he dare not waste time on something such as that during this, the goal was to win. Then again he was not much of a romancer himself. As he was the epitome of don’t judge a book by its cover, sure he looked the part. . .but his personality was a heap of bovine excrement.

It wasn’t long before he took off past the group, he was a scout after all. With a push of his foot, he was heading further in. His form was majestic, which was extremely surprising for a man with his type of boorish personality. His body was low as he sprint through the area, passing up his group by a ways. . .but not too much. It wasn’t long before he set his gaze upward, setting sights on the webbing that disgraced the trees above. He began to continuously shake his needle occupied wrist. In a burst of blue flame, the demon was out of sight, not really, he was just messing with the minds of tee relatively dense creatures. It wasn’t long before nine needles left his hand, hitting a creeper in the abdomen. His hand, pressed against his waist, taking out a considerable amount of this micro-filament wire into his hands. Now he crept low in his hidden form with the likeness of a feral cat. The creatures seemed to hunt for the source of their injured comrade. Zerodamus was one to fight smart, not hard. His lowered perch was desecrated as he took a leap upward into the trees, his foot landing in a muted manner. what he hoped was that the ground was slightly tussled, considering the sounds that left the spot he once stood. Sure enough the creatures crowded. This demon of enhanced athleticism lowered himself from the tree almost silently. There were only three creepers. . .and it seemed that he wasn’t one to grow impatient.

From this his eyes narrowed slightly as his strangely impressive ability took wing, his free hand extended outward slightly, a funnel of flame coming from his fingers. The cataylst being his own breath. Soon enough the cluster of creatures were aflame, of course not noticing until the flame crept and consumed their form. Sure he wasn’t facing them from the front. . .but they had no idea he was even there. It was then the creatures began to panic in a stupor, constantly moving about in search as they began to decompose. This process would be slow due to their exoskeletons. . .therefore the second basis of his attack would have to take place. His needle ended wire was thrown out around one of them. With a harsh snatch backward from the male, six of the eight legs were removed. It was then he pushed off of the ground heading towards the beast with his wire lazily moving behind his form. His foot landed on the heinous creature’s back, pushing off of it as his arm swing around the beast. From this he snatched yet again, the already injured creature having its abdomen cut into further. He twisted his body as he faced the front of the two other creepers. The area grew silent yet again, his eyes tactfully observing the area. Soon enough this was probably going to end badly on their part. Zerodamus loved to ‘play’ with his prey. . .but their lacking level of intelligence bored him rather quickly. His wire returning to him as he coiled it up and let it vanish in one of the many places in his attire. He drew forth the katana, his still unseen form waiting. It was then one of the creepers turned it’s body to face him, his weapon drawn in the same fashion as a fencer, his left hand holding the blade with his wrist turned towards the sky and hunched in a position near his chest. His foot forced him from the branch, this thrust going straight into the creature’s abdomen and quickly withdrawn with his feet shoving himself off of it with his feet. The creature screeched in agony. . . . and it was far more than loud enough for his group to hear it.

With that he landed, as if on cue his invisible ruse was lifted. The last able creature seeing the male of long tresses as a smirk slowly invaded the once stone features. He lowered his body again, this time moving even faster than the last sprint, the sound of his last creeper's blood curdling howl was more than enough evidence that he finished what he was supposed to. His body was clean, his weapon however held the elixir of life that was once in property of creepers, his plain gaze staring ahead among the bodies, merely waiting for his group to catch up with him since he so feverishly went ahead of them. . .seeming to really be a scout; no, he enjoyed being first. . .doing something that would thoroughly stroke his ego.

The small team cut through the expanse of trees and foliage, darting under branches and leaping over bushes. They made excellent time. They were just cresting a fallen log when Ko saw it; an opening among the trees. She signalled for the rest of her party to stop, then picked a special arrow from the quiver at her back. She inscribed something in soot along the shaft, nocked it to her bow, and shot it up and into the wood ahead of them. The spells on her arrows would make sure it did not hit anything she didn't want it to hit.

The small arrow buried itself into the dirt near Doan, the distinct red fletching and vibrant color of the shaft itself marking it as a message. It was one of two such arrows that Ko carried with her at all times, and the spells on it were exceptionally powerful. Doan would know to retrieve it from the dirt and take it back with him.

The message was simple enough. Double back. Be careful. Traps? There was no more room on the shaft. Ko had been as concise as possible.

Behind Doan, Lightbringer waited with the rest of her squad. She set out a bit from where they had stopped, nearing the opening in the trees. Her eyes constantly roamed the area in front of her, looking out for any potential traps. Aoi, Lesine, and Chrona followed cautiously.

Eventually, the opening in the trees revealed a small glade. The grass was immaculate, each blade of green exactly at knee height and swaying slightly, though there was no wind. A tree stump rose in the very center of the glade, and embedded in the concentric circles was a very thin dagger, the blade of which seemed warped and dark as obsidian.

They had found the Dagger of Ithus. The only question now was how to retrieve it?

Ko let the rest of her team deliberate on the situation for a while, making sure none of them ventured a step closer to the glade.

"What do you guys think?" she asked, wanting their opinions. A good leader took stock of the situation herself, but always asked for other ideas. Having extra people meant extra eyes, extra brains, and extra perceptions that would effectively keep them alive.

Red like Roses fills my dreams and brings me to the place you rest...
White is cold and yearning, burdened by a royal test...

Aoi stopped at the edge of the glade as everyone else did, seeing the distinctive dagger and frowning to herself. It was too easy, just too easy, so it was a good thing they stopped. She began to analyze the glade, specifically the tall grass. Something about it in particular bothered her.

When Ko asked if anyone had any ideas, Aoi's gaze went to the stump, a thought forming before she said, "I think I can get to the dagger easily enough. Something about the grass isn't right, but I can avoid it... I don't know what might happen once the dagger's removed, though."

It was pretty likely that the dagger's removal would trigger... something, but Aoi had no idea what. However, the grass was easy for her to avoid due to her ability to levitate and the stump seemed close enough for her to teleport to it. Teleporting was probably the better option, if whatever was protecting it was triggered by breaking through some sort of barrier, even levitating through it could set it off.

thebandit She moved forward, leading her group toward the mountains. They should be reaching the edge of the forest any moment now. Isadora kept her quick pace, scanning her surroundings as per usual, and occasionally glancing over her shoulder at her team mates. She noticed that the mage was either unable to, or was refusing to keep up. Did he not understand the urgency of their situation? They had to not only retrieve their items, but hide them before their rivals showed up. Failure to do so was unacceptable to her.

The terrain started to change, it was fairly reminiscent of a plains sort of environment. She slowed as the number of tree decreased, exposing them. The woman stopped and pulled out her map, by the proximity of the mountains and the lack of forest she was fairly certain where they were located. Looking up, the base of the mountains they needed to climb were straight ahead. Turning back, she looked at her team mates, "We need to continue forward at the same pace. If anyone has a problem with that, I'd be happy to carry you." She made sure to look at Aiden when she said this. While it was meant as sort of a jab to get him moving faster, Isadora knew with her strength that she was completely capable of doing so.

It turned out she didn't have to use her powers to find the objects. She simply had forgotten that they could find them on the map. She pulled the map out from her sash as she followed Blake and the mad one. She concentrating on the map and where they were located, that she didn't realize that the mad one was speaking to them. Something about making a cute couple and she blinked up slowly. Her pupils flickered towards the mad one, which soon shifted over towards Blake who was speaking. She felt a soft smile spread across her red lips when he replied. She figured he could handle that part as she rolled up the map and tucked it away back into her sash.

“ Some would make great and powerful couples indeed, that is if we all make it through this.” She said as she kept walking with her group. She reached up and pulled the hood over her head, when she watched Blake removing his gloves. She stopped walking so close to Blake, knowing what he was and what his touch could do. “Try to touch me and I will turn you into a toad.” She told him, but she smiled as she said it.

“Alright so we need to get the items. If the map is correct and I read it right we need to keep going straight. Keep your eyes open for the other team players and any predators that might be lurking in the shadows. I can feel a great deal of power, some good and some that we don’t want to cross paths with.”

Aidan caught up to the women, and looked up at the cliff before them. Not too difficult. He could always just levitate. He heard the last of Isadora's words. He question why he was only looking at him. Did she really think he was that weak? He chuckled a bit and cracked his knuckles. He swiftly leaped onto the rock and begin climbing up the cliff. He halted, clutched to the stone structure and looked down at the two women at the feet of the cliff.

"Wasn't this supposed to be done quickly?" he asked as one of his hands let go of the stone and extending it towards his teammates. "Or is it that both of you need to be carried?" He asked eyeing Isadora. He should really stop picking fights with the team leader, but there was no help to it. He turned his gaze to Asiri and smiled just before continuing to climb the rock wall in a hurried pace.

Like the strike of a lightning bolt, did a shiver split her spine. All the way from the spot Akasha had touched her, up to her brain, then down to her toes. It resulted in a slight jump which she tried to mask with a quick step afterwords. Kale had been walking at her highest speed, as she let her surroundings feed her information, but nothing had really come into sight yet. And frankly, she had no clue what she was looking for. Maybe she would overlook it. You know, when you look so hard, you can't see that very thing that's laying under your nose. She took a deep breath, noticing her nerves from the woman now beside her, and her very voluptuous breasts that were tucked in just enough. What a wonderful sight. But.... time for concentration. Concentrate.

Then Kale turned a bright red underneath that skull face when Ian made his comment. She was thrown back that he knew already. She was thrown back that Akasha was even making a slight move too! And it turned her on.
"Wh- What the ********, man?" She said, turning to Ian but laughing nervously. "I'm trying to keep my mind on the right things!" Then she shook her head at his suggestion of speeding up, and she took off at a hard jog. They were on such flat plains, it was so boring. Plus, she couldn't see as far as she wanted. She took the time to feel the vibrations in her footprints, and realized there was another.... being following with them. She hadn't seen him before, mainly because he looked more like a shadow than anything else. Someone that would likely come in handy while she could hold back for a moment to transform when they come upon another team. She was excited as her heart raced faster to keep up with her legs.

"I don't feel much, these plains really seem deserted. I don't hear any other voices, or much trembling. Which means, Make sure to check the skies as well. Who knows what our adversaries abilities are."

They really seemed deserted from any other living form. Which made Kale even more nervous. It just took one more second when a hand stuck up out of the cracked and dry ground, grabbing her ankle, and toppling her over completely. Face First. It was a sickly green, bony hand that held onto her and quickly revealed a goblin connected to it. She cried out as he began to drag her in the dirt, and reached for the first thing in her mind: The Axe of Lucien. So fast she unbuttoned the strap it hung in at her side, and into her fist. One slice later, the goblin's head was rolling away, and Kale was quickly back on her feet.

The goblins were trapped underneath the cracked, dry ground, starving themselves, waiting for their prey for maybe months. Kale couldn't count how many there were right now, salivating for her blood. Little did they know, she was drooling for theirs. She began to chop away at these little monsters, one by one, but they were quick at coming up behind her and jumping on her back. She bend forward and threw the slimy beast off of her back as a buck and brought down her sword in the middle of his stomach with the blunt edge. It was larger than the goblin's waist size, so it severed the little s**t right in half.
Kale smiled. The goblins kept coming though, and she kept fighting.

Abilities: For Hallucinations: 2-5 is slightly unrealistic and weak (from 1min-5min), 6-10 is a short but very realistic hallucination(15 mins to an hour), 11-12 is a long (2 to 3 hours)and very realistic hallucination.
For Bad Luck: 2-5 will miss the target but cause damage to nearby area to get in their way, or fall upon them. Weak power. 6-10 is a much more powerful attack, causing something unfortunate to happen, like the sword slip out of the target's hand. It still might miss the target & destroy the nearby area. 11-12 Is the strongest and most accurate blow. It could cause a snake to bite the intended victim, or begin to strangle them.

*The victim has a large play in this as my power affects everyone differently.

Niklaus looked at the human that he was paired with. There was something odd about him, almost like he was one of those crazed humans that most people wouldn't be caught dead being around. Maybe it was the hair, maybe it was the eyes, there was really no way for him to be absolutely sure. "You are odd," Niklaus said rather bluntly, which he didn't care if that seemed to irk Sigmund. "You didn't miss much. You and I are paired together to go find the items in which we seek. So stay close, and don't get in my way."

Yeah... Niklaus wasn't one to be social with anyone that he didn't have to be. He turned on his heel and walked though the gates of his teams base and walked into the forest. He paid no mind to the human to see if be was behind him following. At this point Klaus wanted to hurry up and grab the items so his team could win. Fighting wasnt exactly something that he looked forward to, but it was deemed necessary for the games. It bothered him to be quite honest, he had lost too many people to be okay with fighting.

He heaved a heavy sigh and closed his eyes. Focusing on his surroundings. Predators were all over this forest and it was going to be extremely hard to get through unnoticed. He opened his intense blue eyes and focused on the details on the forest. Yes, he was using his magic to focus on the tinier details of the forest. Which would be key in these kinds of games. Especially since the items were going to be extremely well hidden. It took him another few seconds to realize that he could feel the other mage. That was one downside to being a mage, if one was near you could feel them... But if they used their magic, you could pick up on what they were up. This was going to be a difficult game.

Ooc: sorry for the short post. Posting from my phone. -.-'

Asiri sighs and shakes her head at the fact her teammates are still carrying out their disagreements. Their bickering could be our downfall, Asiri mentally notes, but shrugs, Maybe I'll have to hide all three items if this keeps up. A smirk grew on her face; if she could find some form of water, say a river or a pond, she could use her water abilities to bury the items underwater. But then her face eased back to absent minded as she tilted her head slightly and wonders if that would be considered cheating.

Her eyes are up on the climbing mage, who lowers a bit of rock down to the Draconian and nymph. Was he smiling at me? She felt a touch of heat rise in her cheeks and lowers her eyes on the ground.

thebandit Isadora quirked an eyebrow at the mage as he began to climb. She was surprised how easily he moved, considering he only had the strength and endurance of a human. Although, he could have used magic to make himself better. Suppressing the urge to roll her eyes, she began to swiftly make her way up the rock's edge. Passing the mage, she ignored his hand of help. The woman increased her pace, half running half climbing up the side of the mountain. The faster they got to the items, the faster she could separate from them and hide hers.

She thought about whether or not these two were capable of hiding their respective items efficiently. Perhaps she could assist them and make sure... No! Their orders were to hide one item and that item alone. It was smarter to do it that way, as it assured that if one of them were captured, they could not reveal the place of more than one item. Although, Isadora would sooner die than betray her team. Glancing back down, she had put a considerable distance between herself and the ground. Calling out to the Nymph she asked, "Will you be needing assistance?" She didn't mean to question Asiri's capabilities, but rather make sure that she could physically do this. The Draconian knew of how Nymphs could prove to be a rather worthy opponent when they were truly threatened.
