Welcome to Gaia! ::

She was nothing. And then she was something.

She had started out as fog, formless and dull, just like everyone else. And from uniformity, she became unique. Sure, there were many like her. But... a heart. A heart was what separated her from the mass. And as she did more, she became even more “different” from them.

She received her first blessing. Her heart turned a bright yellow. She began thinking…wondering. She remembered she had forgotten something…but at this moment, nothing meant anything to her. She was still a shapeless, grey blob.

She was then transported to a city. Her surroundings were grey, and if she even dare say so, were a bit run down like her. After doing what her Goddess had told her to do, she became… more. Her body became more distinct, having its own shape, and she realized she had to interact with others.

And by doing tasks assigned to her, she kept growing and growing. Her understanding and the outside world grew, but the number of questions grew as well. What was she? She knew what she currently was – something…that held a heart that was more than just yellow now: it was a beautiful blend of many colors, with distinct features that she noticed others didn’t have… such as ears. Oh, and yes, she had this wonderful weapon to slay things with. But there had to be a deeper answer to this. And for what purpose was she slaying things? What had told her to fight them?

And memories. She knew she completed tasks, but what had happened between start and end was blank. Had the Goddesses taken something important away? Most of the questions she had were concerning the blank slate of her mind. And so, she greedily completed task after task after task, hoping to find out more. And with every task she completed, she felt like she gained something, but what she gained was not what she was looking for. There were things she was supposed to remember….yet she couldn’t. Had she known others that were not among the grey mass she fought with? And were there ones that were?

Task after task after task…the days were closing in. And at last, she seemed to know, it was the last. It was time for the Final task, assigned by the Goddesses. Maybe she would learn something new on this day. Or maybe, it was going to be like all the others…leaving her with an insatiable thirst for something that had been, but was no more.
