It didn't take long for Mitsu to reel back from the kick, lunging at her shadow while she was in the process of getting up. The two of them went tumbling in a blur of white, struggling and snarling until the real Mitsu ended up on top, prying the ball from the other Mitsu's hands.
"My ball," And that was the last she said before she drew back her fist and landed a hit square in her double's face knocking her out.

Shun had to deal with a doppleganger as well. Seeing a shadowed version of himself approaching, he went on ahead and summoned his daggers and crouched down into a defensive stance.
The shadow did much of the same.
"Father always deemed you to be worthless," the shade said, speaking in the same echo'd tone as the rest, "Maybe you are. Maybe you aren't. It doesn't really matter. Prove yourself to me, right here. Or will you be unable to defeat yourself?"
The Reaper had nothing to say to the shade. This creature was in his way, so he just had to take it down.
He waited for a few moments before dashing forth. The other did exactly the same thing. With a lunge, he moved to stab into the side of his double. As he did this, he felt a stab of pain as the other mimicked him, performing the same movements as he was at the same time.

Shun took a step back after he was struck, then began to move slowly. This resulted in both himself and his shadow to be circling one another. He tried to be more cautious as he dashed back forth to strike. It didn't really do him much good as both ended up taking a cut to the arm.

Not wanting to relent, Shun went on to perform a feint with one dagger. The shadow continued to mimic his every move, doing much of the same thing. When the Reaper pulled back, the other did as well. And such, when he slashed across the body of his opponent, he received the same exact wound.
"Che... So that's how it's going to be," he muttered under his breath as he took a few steps back. He was going to need to try and find some way to overcome this mimic. With the way things were going, there was a very good chance that they would take each other out. That was hardly ideal at all.
Breathing a little heavily, he heard the light patter as a few drops of his blood dripped to the ground below.
"Perhaps you can't win, after all."

Shun's good eye twitched slightly at that comment. No. He could win. He just needed to figure out exactly how he was going to go about doing just that. And such, an idea came to mind. He had one idea, though he wasn't certain how this would turn out.
Shifting a bit, he shadowstepped. As expected, his dopplegangar did much of the same. However, it was incredibly hard to aim where his next step would need to be when his opponent was moving just as fast and just as often. The two blinked in an out, leaving smoky wisps each time they shadowstepped. Steel flashed, but not a single one strike hit its mark.
When he finally stopped and landed a few feet off, he quickly turned around to see his shadow do much of the same. A soft hiss of irritation escaped him as he crouched back down. That didn't work. He was going to need to try something else, then.

Shun grimaced lightly as he thought this over some more. As this was one on one, the only way he could really conceive how he was going to win this fight either involved him somehow being faster than this being that has matched him in every way so far, or somehow tricking or outsmarting it.
He let out a slow breath, crouching there and staring down at the shadow of himself.
The dopplegangar had followed him with precision, so he wasn't entirely certain how he could fool it. Then again, he wasn't sure how he could move faster either, for that matter. He decided to close his eye. If he did this, the other should have as well. Of course, he had no way of knowing if that was really the case
He didn't hear any movement from across. And he still had a decent idea of where the other stood. For a moment his daggers were dismissed, only for several smaller blades of shadow to appear between his fingers. In two swift movements, he hurled all six blades out. He heard a slight delay in movements coming from his shadow, followed by the feeling of a few sharp things grazing against his form.
Hissing in pain, his eye snapped open and he stared across. The dopplegangar no longer mimicked him, as he could see it staggering back before dissolving into the darkness.

Well now, Xiu had had a feeling that it wouldn't be this easy, but this last trial had certainly gone beyond her expectations.
The baku wasn't sure what to think when she found herself face to face with her reflection, though her uncertainly quickly made way for a rush of alarm at the shadow's threats. Her friends would...? And uncle Hayate--...No, no it was just trying to trick her. Even if it wasn't, there sure as hell wasn't any reason for her to stand around and let it threaten her friends and family!
When the figure suddenly rushed at her, the ghoul dodged to the side, her lips set in a thin line. "Okay, one," Her lashing from side to side, she held her fists up in front of herself, "King Xiu and I aren't one and the same, but I'm pretty sure that she did not fail."
Waiting until the other figure was close, Xiu swung her fist out, catching it in the shoulder just as it struck out at her.

"Two," Xiu continued, her voice surprisingly patient despite the irritation that flickered behind her eyes, "My friends wouldn't fall that easily, if all those battles we've been in are anything to go by." Granted that there had been plenty of dissipation happening during some of those battles but...they had come back every time, right? And usually stronger to boot.
When her shadow came at her again, Xiu watched the timing and cues, roughly smacked the other ghoul's fist away before it could hit her. There was at least one good thing about essentially fighting herself, at least: she knew what the look for.

"How can you be so confident? Yes, you and your friends have somehow managed to make it out safely...but just how long will that last? How long until one of you gets captured and turned into a weapon?"
Xiu froze, hesitation flickering over her features before she hastily covered it up with a frown, trying to push aside the fear that had momentarily overtaken her. She could have said something snarky back, or given a long speech...but in the end, she settled for a shrug and a smile.
"Not going to happen."

Xiu's shadow seemed amused by her answer, but before she could make a move to respond, the baku had already lunged forward, kicking a leg up and around in an attempt to take her mirror image down.
Unfortunately, the whole "easy to read since you're one and the same" thing went both ways.

Staggering back from a particularly bad blow, the ghoul winced and clutched her side, grimacing at the dull pain. Still, it sure as hell wasn't enough to make her back down from this fight, especially since she still had one more point to go through.
"And since you so rudely interrupted me before I could finish speaking," The smile on Xiu's face was pleasant, but the barely concealed fury in her eyes was anything but, "Three: threatening uncle Hayate was a stupid thing to do."
And then she lunged forward, following through with her body as she swung her fist hard into her shadow's stomach.

Danny was just awkwardly stunned. One, that anti-demon was holding a weird illusioned head. Two, she was talking way too fancily to be anything close to Danny. So she just assumed it was a fakey fake.
But it was a weird fakey fake.

Not to mention, why was it even wielding a head? If it was a Danny clone it had fire. Lots of fire. Why wasn't she using her fire?? A weird head flail was not nearly as cool as fire.
So Danny showed her how it was done. With a good fireball to the face.
