Jack, whose last name really was Stark, looked surprised when Amarilla addressed BJ with it. And then he realized, and relaxed again, breaking the seal on a beer can. It hissed and foamed. Jack hurried it to his lips, and drank a little.
"If he gets to be Iron Man," Ducky drawled, blue eyes trained on the fireworks, "I wanna be Captain America."
"It's lovely to meet you, Amarilla," Jack said. There was a twinkle in his eye and a mischevious quirk to his lips. He debated, for a moment, about revealing their real names. "I can't speak for these losers, here. But I'm looking for the love of my life."
Ducky snorted. BJ snickered and, wiggling his eyebrows asked Amarilla, "wouldn't you rather be Pepper Potts?"

Quinn grinned broadly at Zac when he made a disgusted face. "At least it's not a water gun this time," she teased. Her eyebrows raised and deep red eyes widened, her expression turning to that of innocence. She held her hands up, palms facing him, "No need for the suspicion darlin', I don't have anything devious planned!" When Veer smashed the water balloon over Zac's head, her cheeks flushed and jaw dropped- gosh, he was ballsy. Then again, her first encounter with Zac was awfully similar. The inevitable look on Zac's face would have Quinn bursting out with laughter before planting a kiss on his wet cheek. She would let the boys deal with Veer's act of thievery and attack on their own. Grabbing her towel and a fresh beer stolen from a stranger's cooler, she plopped down onto the sand at their feet and laid down, so she could watch the fireworks overhead in awe.

Propser dealt with the strangeness very similarly to the way James had attempted to cope with it. The difference was that the purple haired boy viewed it all as a nightmare, he instead viewed it as an exciting dream that never quite ended because really, it was still very current. After all there were still sailor suited people running around combating militarily suited people.
The only difference was that they were no longer in space.
And he realized that he still didn't know who were the bad guys or the good guys and it was all really confusing.
Time as a ghost had left his memory a little hazy, he only remembered the bright light then being back on Earth. All very surreal and great material for a novel. Not that he put effort into it (okay, he had but putting it down on paper without sounding too out there was harder than he thought).
He laughed shaking his head at Prosper. "Never said I liked cobwebs or cleaning," he told him. "Just implied that you'd never done it, or seen one." He shrugged gesturing wildly. "Nope. Can't buy me with money, honey," he laughed again winking at him.

Accepting the drink Venice winked at the boy who Porsha seemed smitten with and happily walked with them towards the shore, her eyes wide and bright as she watched the fireworks & their flashy patterns scattering across the sky. Just watching them stirred up fond memories of England and her family and she sighed heavily as she remembered.
“Ahhh, it’s just not the same if your not burning a man on top of a bomb fire though..” She mumbled unhappily as she slipped her drink, her vision catching the movement of Porsha’s hand as it slipped into Dustin’s shorts from the corner of her eye. She started laughing into her drink as she poked a finger into the girl’s waist
“ Po! Contain your hussy needs for five minutes girl! This young man is buying me drinks. I like him, he needs to do it more! I can’t have that if you are there dry humping him all evening!” She stifled a laugh as she thought how cruel she was being. It was one thing trying to work you magic on a guy let alone having an annoying embarrassing person pointing it out. But Venice was more than happy to do so.
“Plus Dustin you don’t know where her fingers have been and I always find Po looks like she needs a good wash.” She grimaced as she wiped her own fingers on Po shorts in disgust, quietly tensing at the punch that was surely to follow. But it was worth it, it was always worth it.

Orah was happy to lead the way as she headed away from the bonfire and the noisy crowds. Not that they were any older than the fireworks, but it was hard to sit back and relax when there were half drunk people dancing all over the place.
Tossing a grin back over her shoulder at her friend, Orah picked a likely spot and plopped herself down on the sand, her skirt tucked under her. Watching the sky with eager eyes, she unbuckled her sandals and dug her toes into the sand, finally content to wrap her arms around her knees and watch the show.
Memories took her back to her childhood, and for a little while, she let the warmth of those times wash over her. It was nice just to pretend to be a kid again, oooing and pointing out really good ones to Arian. It didn't feel like there was enough of that lately.

Dustin Harlow "What am I doing tonight? Maybe you," Dustin whispered not all that quietly into Porsha's ear. He grinned as her fingers slid into the waistband of his trunks, but all his excitement quickly ended with Venice's disproval. "Cockblocker," he teased, no longer speaking softly at all or even trying to keep his thoughts to himself. He tossed back half of his mojito in a big swig. He wasn't really annoyed or angry with the other girl - he'll just have to pull Porsha aside later on in the night to continue the fun. "Maybe later then, Po." Ricky Cunningham "You too?" Ricky's brows raised. Wait, no, he wasn't supposed to say that. "Er, I mean, I don't know what you're talking about. I'm just drunk. And you're drunk! We're both drunk!" He wasn't really all that drunk at all, but in order to sell the lie, he started to pretend that he was drunk, and did so very poorly to the extent that it was more the obvious that he was faking. He shouted out randomly, staggered to the side as if stumbling, and then slurred his speech. "Sseee? Soooo drunkkkkkk," he dragged his words. Even he wasn't buying his own act.

Po's attention had shifted from the bright explosions painting the sky and onto the young man she was standing beside as he half murmured near her ear with promises of wicked things when the night concluded. It had her grinning, fingers pressing into his back as she drew her lower lip between her teeth. She would have answered back with something equally suggestive, but Venice had decided the situation demanded her own two cents. The jab to her side made the teen jump, and she turned a lethal glare on the older woman as she proceeded to do everything in her power to royally c**k block her advances. Dustin was echoing her thoughts exactly, though he sounded at least amused. It helped to drain a bit of Porsha's murderous intent upon her derby captain. At least until she had to go on to tease about not knowing where Po's hands had been, and very promptly the girl turned on her heel and drove her fist into Ven's stomach. "That's enough out of you." Turning back, she offered a salacious smile to Dustin. She was pretty sure she could turn that maybe into a definite yes, but there was still time to kill before the party was over. No rush. "I think Venny needs another drink." Po still had half a mojito left, but she brought the straw up so she could take another long drink from it. This was only her second drink so far, tragedy.

Smiling, Arian plopped down next to Orah in the spot she'd picked out, head tilting upwards as the fireworks painted the sky in glorious splashes of colour. He smiled over the ones that Orah pointed out, his quiet voice happy as he pointed out a few himself. It wasn't the cool, crisp nights of November that he had grown up with, but fireworks in summer had its own charm about it. And the magic - the magic and happy feelings evoked by the fireworks were the same. Eventually the fireworks would fade as the display came to an end, but for now Arian was happy to relax and enjoy the show.

By the time the fireworks were over, Orah was feeling tired, but happy. One full day with transforming, a full 24 hours with out fighting for her or someone else's life. It felt good. It felt... Normal, and there really wasn't as much of that now. Having a friend along for it was icing on the cake.
When the lights were finally out, Orah sighed as she climbed to her feet and began to brush the sand off her skirt and legs. "I have to be getting home now, I'm afraid. My dad will be here any minute to pick me up. Thanks for watching the fireworks with me! I had a lot of fun." The teen said as she smiled, hands clasped behind her back with sandals dangling from her fingers. This had been a good beach party and she was more than happy she'd made a point to come to it.

Eventually the last burst of coloured light faded from the sky, breaking the spell and letting reality intrude again. "I should be heading back myself" Arian admitted as he picked himself up from the sand, absently brushing sand off his legs. "But thank you as well" he smiled quietly as he added "I had fun too." He waved a bye to Orah "I'll see you around." A few voices from further up the beach broke out into a ragged cheer. Yes it was definitely time for him to head back. With the fireworks over, it seemed that the party aspect of the beach party was going kick off in earnest - but that was too much party for Arian's liking. No, the rest of his evening would be more mundane, spent finishing up a pendant, mayhaps both - or maybe he would leave the pendants for tomorrow given that it had gone eleven and see if Saffy was in the mood for them to flop out on the couch with some hot chocolate or something.

Orah waved brightly at her friend before she turned to go. The party atmosphere felt like a cloud the lifted her up, weightless, and carried her along. Tonight would be one of the good memories she tucked away in her head for later.

“OPFF!!” The blow had been watched with winced eyes as the women tensed in preparation. She could have avoided it with a quick side step but if the derby girl had learnt anything about friendships there was always a little give and take involved and right now Po had every right to take the wind out of her lungs. “Uhh…you hit…like…a b***h….but don’t do it again.” She bent over double as she caressed her stomach in mock pain even though the punch was well executed and stung she wouldn’t be shedding any tears, not yet anyway. Punishment received Venice grinned at Dustin as she nodded at Po’s suggestion, her drink drained and rattling with unmelted ice.
“Heehee, yeah spanky, more booze please!” Unfolding herself she leaned back slightly to watch the fireworks buzz over their heads and she breathed in the smell of black powder burning out, her eyes scanning the sky and then the beach. She really didn’t want to get in the way of these two’s hormones attacking one another and she looked for escape….as soon as there was booze.

As the fireworks show died down, the bars began last call and the party began to clear out. While some of the guests stayed on the beach to continue the night, others moved off to return home or continue their festivities elsewhere and in private.

When the fireworks show ended, Dustin looked back to Porsha and Venice, then back at the bar. "Looks like the bar is closing up shop," he noted with some disappointment. "Might not be able to get you that last drink, sorry Ven. But..." From the pocket of his trunks, he pulled out a small pipe and bag of weed. "We can continue this party elsewhere, if either of you two are down?"

Venice's eyes grew wide with the appearance of the bag and just as quickly a devilish smile followed. Who was she to turn down such a sweet offer?
"Don't mind if I do gorgeous! You can all come back to mine or we can stay on the unsafe beach and probably get murdered, but s**t, you only live once!"
Or twice in some cases but that was beside the point and Venice happily sneaked over to Dustin and hooked her arm in his, her other grabbing Porsha by the shoulder. "Lets go people, Mamma can feel sobriety a' comin and it ain't welcomed!"
