King looked up at Matt, laying on the ring floor. The fans started to rumble when they saw the look in Kelly King's eyes. His iris' were shining bright as he slowly stood up and looked at the WrestleMania crowd. The sold out seats knew what was coming. King started to jog in place, listening to the rumble of the crowd growing into a roar. They started to run their feet in place with 2.0, causing the building to shake, as 2.0 suddenly took off full sprint-- Only to stop half way and jog back briskly and simply kick the middle rope upward into Matt's throat!

The sound of the arena rumbling with Kelly King did nothing to help Shanahan's mood; if anything, it only drove his inner rage even more. His face twisted into a snarl as he began to push off of the middle rope... Only to have it shoot upward from the kick and smack against his throat. He bounced up to his feet from the added momentum of the rope, taking a few steps backwards before falling back to the mat.
"Goddamnit!" He spat as his grasped his windpipe; he was beginning to get tired of the constant assault on his throat.

King leapt up to his feet and took no chances or time to gloat or taunt, as he ran for the ropes, a feat in and of itself considering his hatred of the act, and bounced off them, as he came running back at Shanahan. He leapt into the air and went to drop the jumping forearm onto Matt's big ole dumb head!

It's a good thing King doesn't like to run often, he's put on quite a few pounds since his glory days. That joke isn't one Shanahan would get to voice though; he was too busy being hit by a forearm. Just as The God of Punks was about to stand, the forearm came dropping down onto his face, causing another jolt of pain to shake his body. His hands moved from his throat to his face, now trying to roll far away from Kelly, and hopefully out of the ring this time.

Maybe he'd put on a couple of pounds. Maybe he just paid the announcer to say 223 pounds for years. But if he had put on more weight, it would only make gravity bring that forearm down even harder on Shanahan. So who won really? King's forearm? Or Shanahan's enormous head? King leapt after Matt, trying to pin him, but failed as the big man rolled out of the ring like a big t**t.

Matt's escape would prove to be lackluster compared to his typical roll-outs. Instead of sliding on his feet, Shanahan landed on his side with a loud thud against the outer mats. He laid on the ground a moment, trying his best to recuperate. The fans jeered loudly at his escape; but ask him if he cared.

King looked down at Shanahan and shook his head with a tsking sound. Not because of what Shanahan had done, but because of the rookie mistake he'd made. 2.0 stood up and quietly exited the ring... on a different side of Shanahan. As he walked around the corner, he put his hand on the steel ring post, and then let his fingers slide down the pole as he crouched behind the prone Shanahan. He was calling for the Downgrader!

The fans were cheering enthusiastically for the King's signature Downgrader, giving Matt a hint that -something- was in his future. Regardless, he pushed himself up slowly and began to walk around the corner of the ring, a hand on his forehead...

2.0 waited until Matt had turned about in the right fashion and he smirked. Locked on target, the System bolted from place and ran straight for Matt's sternum, aiming to hit the Downgrader spear!

The System was speeding at Matt at an incredible speed, giving him little time to react. Shanahan's eyes went wide at the sight of his former best friend charging in for the Downgrader; it was either strategic planning or hasty cowardice that drove his next move. In a rather ungraceful manner, Matt dove out of the way, leaving The System nothing but a firewall to crash into. In other words, King was charging at the steel steps.

2.0 ran full on, with a full head of steam, straight into the steel steps with a resounding metallic crash. The top set of stairs went flying off their link to the bottom set, rolling away with a clatter, while King ended up laying on top of the bottom set of stairs, groaning and holding his head and shoulder in pain. The nice thing was the steel was nice and cold on his heated skin, so at least there was that.

Matt hit the mats with a loud thud with his arms covering his face to protect those stunning looks. The sound of Kelly King colliding with the steel steps was all the confirmation he needed to realize that he was in the clear, for the time being.
The God of Punks slowly pushed up off the thin mats, taking his time to stretch out his pained lower back. He muttered something incoherent and vulgar, though the cameras could barely pick it up. Turning to face the direction of 2.0, he spotted the man laid out on the bottom set of stairs...
Without wasting much more time, Shanahan hopped up onto the apron near the farthest ring post. His eyes locked on to King as he began to sprint across the narrow apron; this could spell disaster for either men, or both. As he neared the opposite ring post, Matt leaped off of the apron and down towards King, aiming to smash the man's body against the steel steps with a flying leg drop!

King had just then started to stand up from the previous crashing and burning. His palms pressed against the steel, pushing up, he groaned quietly... But the weight of the enormous wrestler came down on the back of his head, crashing them both down onto the steel step base loudly!

After impact, Matt fell off of King immediately. Not with grace, not onto his feet; no, he fell onto his side and rolled into the barricade from momentum. He laid against the padded wall for a moment, catching his breath after such a maneuver.
With the help of the barricade wall, Matt began to pull himself up from his descent onto Kelly. He didn't intend to give King time to recover, but he wasn't exactly at the top of his game after that.

2.0 hadn't been crushed by a boulder in a really long time, so it's not as though he was totally used to the feeling of a big fat a** landing on the back of his head. He rolled over onto his back, eyes clenched shut, panting for air, as he just try to recollect himself. He'd been running a high wave of momentum, he had to try and salvage it before Shanahan put him down.
