Gained 1 luk Kilian smiled lightly as they began moving through the next tunnel. The air became heavy as they stepped out of the tunnel. Steam wafted up around them. Amadia sent out a low growl as Kilian's gaze scaned the room for what had caused his drakein to becom upset. When his sight focused on the dragon sitting in the center of the room Kilian froze. "Diabi.." Kilian whispered as his sockets widened and he was unable to move further into the room. "Rio...Rio I don't think I can..." His words caught in his mouth as the memories of that day assaulted him. His gaze and attentioned zeroed in on the dragon, causing him to not realize when Erionda let her hand slip from his. Amadia growled as she felt the emotions from Kilian flooding her. She had never seen him like this and it worried the drakein. Kilian gritted his teeth and clenched his fists as the fear coursed through him. He had not expected an encounter with a Diabi to end up like this. He had expected himself to fight. Fight to the end. Instead, he felt like a child, whimpering in the face of pure evil. His eyes widened as the sound of Erionda's screams tore through him. He wasn't hearing her, though. In his mind he heard the villagers screaming as the Diabi had descended onto his village. He heard his cousin's cries. Kilian's back hit the wall and he slumped to the ground. Amadia, knowing Kilian's fears, moved to stand in front of him. Her teeth bared at the Diabi dragon. Kilian's sockets squeezed shut as his mind shut down from fear. He couldn't move. He couldn't help Erionda. Kilian was lost in his own tortuous nightmare.

Erionda's stats Character: Erionda STAGE: Apprentice LVL: 41 LUK: 41 Drakein with her: Lanzecki Uassae Winning stats 41 (75/41 )/2 = 38 Exp 24 + 38 = 62/42 Rio levels to 42 with 20 exp left over 1 Luck gained Luck is now 42 Erionda Gains 1 Diabi Orb Lanzecki turned around and nuzzled Erionda onto her side. Careful not to touch her wounds, begging her to recover over the bond. Uassae continued to snap and snarl at the Diabi before them. Dodging it's claws with minimal damage. But just as he was more focused on evading the dragons claws. He couldn't land any blows that would send the Dragon into dust. Finally filling her lungs with a gasp Erionda rolled and pushed herself to her feet. Reaching out to pull her sword to her. Doubling over in pain as she narrowed her eyes angrily at the beast. She knew Diabi were powerful, but she never imagined they would be this strong. Coughing as her lungs tried to correct themselves. Erionda staggered a few steps forward just as Uassae's teeth connected with the dragons main vein of blood. The dark dragon let out a fearsome howl as it swung it's head from side to side, trying to dislodge the Drakein from it's neck. Taking it's distraction as the perfect opportunity Erionda moved with all her might forward. Her blade connecting with the dragons jugular before she collapsed to the ground. Her body had given up, she was no longer able to keep moving. To keep fighting. She had pushed herself to the very edges of her stamina and strength. Whimpering as the Diabi orbs clinked against the moist ground. Her eyes were hazy as she tried to focus on Kilian. What was going on? He was acting weird, had he been hurt? Struggling to her knees Erionda pressed one hand against the wounds on her stomach. The rest of her body crawled forward until she reached his side. Pushing her legs beneith her, Erionda's free hand moved to cover one of his. "Kilian?" She asked in a soft voice. "Kilian whats wrong? Did... something hit ... you?"

Room 17 You have reached the end of the cave system! Inside you find a chest. Opening the chest reveals items!! First die: If the number is 1, you find healing potions (ten for each participant). If the number is 2, you find energizing potions (ten for each participant). If the number is 3, you find elixirs (five for each participant). If the number is 4, you find life and energy boosters (three of each for each participant). Second die: If the number is 1, you find Potion of Strength (two for each participant). If the number is 2, you find a Shield of the Ancients. If the number is 3, you find an Arrow of Courage. If the number is 4, you find a Bottled Dream. Kilian's mind flashed between reality and his past. He was so confused about what was happening. Was he a child still? The dragon attack fresh in his mind? Or was his life with Erionda real? He shook his head from side to side, trying to clear his mind. Amadia whimpered as she watched Erionda struggle to kill the dragon. Kilian. Kilian! Erionda's hurt. Kilian's mind caught that name and clung to it. Hurt? Erionda? He tried to force his mind out of it's fog. His body felt cold, despite the heat of the room and sweat that dripped down his face. A cool, soothing touch made his muscles tense. He struggled to pull himself out of his fear. He heard his name. It seemed like whoever called it was far away. Then slowly the voice grew louder. He blinked his sockets open and gazed around the cavern blankly. The Diabi was gone. Had it been just a dream? His voice again. His gaze shot over to his side and took in the sight of Erionda. "Rio..." Kilian whispered as he took in her state. The ripped fabric at her stomach made him cringe. He had caused her this pain. If it had not been for them entering this cave she would not have ended up like this. Curse him for his reaction to the Diabi. Again the Diabi had hurt him and his loved ones. He weakly reached his hand up to her face. "Oh Rio...Please...forgive me." He wanted so badly to pull her to him but didn't feel worth of her touch. He had let her down. Had failed to protect her.

Her body shifting to the ground unable to keep herself upright. "I'm so glad you're okay. For a while there, I thought something had hit you." Her eyes closed as she lay against the hot ground. Her temperature rising, her body unable to cool itself off. Lanzecki moved to Amadia's side checking her over to see if her whimpering were injuries before moving to lay beside Erionda. Uassae limped back towards the group. His tongue flicked out over his many injuries. "I can't shift her onto my back or carry her." Uassae growled, his distrust in the Oblivionite was growing as he stared at him.

Kilian's gaze searched Erionda's face as he watched her lean against the wall. "Something did hit me. Just not in the physical sense." He whispered as turned his head to see the older drakein make his way over. Kilian frowned at him. The distrust was evident in Uassae's voice and it did nothing to settle Kilian down. Had he not proven he was loyal to Erionda yet? "I've got her." Kilian said as he pushed himself up from the ground. He grabbed the orbs first, stashing them into their packs before bending down and scooping Erionda up into his arms. The wounds from the dragon bite throbbed with pain but he gritted his teeth and ignored it. Erionda was more important than a little pain. "Lets get out of here." He said as he headed down the next tunnel. The next cave system didn't house a dragon, instead a large chest stood in the middle. Past that was what looked like an exit. He shifted Erionda a bit as he held her close to his chest. They had both been through so much to get to this point. He couldn't leave behind what was in the chest. He carefully settled Erionda against the cavern wall and went over to the cave. Opening it revealed several potions and two shields. His eyebrow rose at the contents. Gathering them up he managed to get both shields onto his back and stuff the potions into the last remaining space in Amadia's pack. "I am sorry for making you carry so much." He said to her. Amadia shook her head and headed over to the cave exit. Kilian shrugged and went back over to Erionda. "You ready to go home?" He asked as he bent down and picked her back up.

Erionda faintly recalled her body being lifted. As if on instinct she buried her face in Kilians neck. Her arms wrapping around him in an attempt to become lighter. Despite the smell of dust, there was still the underlying scent of forest in Kilians skin. It relaxed her.
Erionda struggled to stand but her body gave way once again. Walking was an abstract idea for now. Her eyes opened into slits, just enough so she could see the chest in front of them. So they had finally made it to the end of the cave system after all.
Hazily drifting in and out, Erionda could hear Kilian speaking to her. She gave him a simple nod as she struggled to stand again. She wanted to be home. Wanted to know just how much time had passed since they had first entered the caves.
