"What? NO! I'm a paladin! I can't..."
Willing Lloyd's play to be false, Lilith snapped her fingers and sure enough a brief light came to life.
"You b*****d, don't scare me like that..." Lilith demanded, slinging the nearest object she could grab at him which happen to be the small wooden stool. Not caring whether it hit him or not, Lilith picked herself up off the floor and dusted off her nightgown.

Lloyd began to laugh, not seeing the chair being flung his into his chest. It hit him with enough force to knock the wind out of him. "Ack! Hey! Was that necessary." He coughed mid sentence.
After regaining the ability to talk clearly again, Lloyd began to explain what happened. About her helping him with his wounds, the bloodline curse, the confession of his love for her and her fainting of using every ounce of strength and magic she had in her.
"So, does any of that ring any bells to you, Lilith? And what's this about can't because you're a paladin?"

"Yeah, its all coming back to me now. I guess when I fainted part of my memory blacked out with me." Lilith answered, lightly rubbing her head as she returned the stool to its rightful place in the room.
"And you know as well as I do that paladins take a vow of chastity."

Lloyd blinked his eyes and scratched his head at that. "Oh, that? Was I supposed to actually follow that rule?" He sat on the stool. "Not that I got the chance to break it, but I probably would had if it was you I was breaking it with. Totally worth it if it's the Divine Body of the order."
Picking up his nearby breastplate, he looked into Lilith's eyes. "I should be going now, shouldn't I? The order isn't going to take seeing me again lightly at all."

"I'll take that as a complement..." Lilith replied, smiling as she pulled the stool out from under him and sent him sprawling onto the floor. Lilith moved the stool and shrugged as she found it another home. "And I'm not sure anyone would notice you." She said, running her hands along her cheeks as she referenced the few days of stubble the grew on Lloyd's face. "With that and the battered grey run-of-the-mill armor, you'd pass for just about any militia or mercenary group in the city."

Lloyd landed on his back, did she really have to remove the stool while he was on it? A simple get off my stool would had sufficed! He sat upright, holding his neck, "Grey? Run of the mill? I'll have you know that look this is what happens when a Paladin's armor loses the so called graces of Lumina. Pearl and gold becomes coal and red. But does this mean you're giving me permission to follow behind your behind?" He asked, adding a bit of innuendo at the very end.

"While I'm not 100% comfortable keeping you around, it would do my mind wonders to know where you are rather than having guess when you'll show up outside my window again." Lilith answered truthfully. "Because as you confessed earlier, you love me and that love would bring you back to my window weather I like it or not."
Tossing on a light robe over her nightgown she added, "I suppose I could always take you in as a squire. Been needing another one of those since the last one got his chest crushed by my horse."

Ouch, what a way to go. Well it could have been worse, her squire could have been killed off by himself. Maybe others in the past already have.
"Oh believe me, I'd show up in your window and more if possible. But you didn't actually give me an answer, did you?" Said Lloyd in response. "Surely you might. You didn't immediately say no to me..."

"I'm still talking to you, lets call that a start and leave it at that for now..." Lilith answered with a smile. Despite their differences, Lloyd has shown Lilith the light, so to speak, and she felt there could be a connection between the two of them but such a path would have to be tread upon lightly because should word reach the right ears it would be the end of them both.
"Now get dressed before somebody sees you alone like that with me."

"Oh yeah, she wants me." Grinned Lloyd in his thoughts. She'd be his girl in no time at all! He picked up his things and got dressed. She was a paladin, didn't she know how long "As long as you stick with the nightgown for a bit longer. Can't blame me for liking what I see."

Lilith laughed. "Of that I have no doubt but I think you've gotten enough oogling for one day." She said, tying closed her robe and robbing Lloyd of his pleasant view. "Besides I can't go wandering the halls like that. Especially if I'm going to go to my superiors and introduce my new squire."

"Fine, fine." He crossed his arms, fully knowing she probably did that on purpose. But her excuse was plausible. "Going to have to give me a new name if you plan to introduce this squire." Said Lloyd, wondering what she would call him. Better not be any pet names!

"I've never been good at names myself..." He answered here, maybe he she should let the paladin come up with a name herself? "Troy Ecclestone, how about that one?"

"Sounds good to me, I doubt we'll need to give you a last name but doesn't hurt to have one in mind." Lilith said, wandering back over to her bed and fishing her slippers out from under it.
"I'll meet you downstairs in a couple of minutes, but be warned you'll probably need to a story to explain why you are becoming a squire at your current age because squires tend to be in their early teens, not twenty-something."
