He briefly wondered what it would have been like to be around Lady Artemis growing up, to have a semblance of a family. Only briefly however, not allowing himself to fall into the trap of depression. The community was his family. It was why he loved and protected them with his whole heart. "I should be thanking you for helping me." The male grinned as he reached out to give a slow stroke of a finger on the rabbits head. "Can't say I'm very good with names. Hopper? Cotton tail? Long-ears?" Kaiden chuckled at his completely obvious names. He was a rather straightforward faun after all.

Lira giggled "their good buuut lets put them on the back burner shall we? We will use one of them if one of the others don't quite work out" she said smiling at him as she looked down at the rabbit "hmmm how about Gizmo?" She suggested "or Jasper? Or Topaz?" She said as she looked down at the rabbit, wondering what name would suit it "names are not exactly my forte either but I am sure we can think of something between us" she said as she stroked the little ones back.

It certainly had been an interesting day. He had set out to simply check his traps for another bland evening. In just a few hours though he had made a new friend and was committing to raising a rabbit together. The thought made him smile however. "Hmmm...Do you think there's a way we could combine the names? Like...Hopaz? Or Giztail?" Those names were even more ridiculous than the ones he had stated before, and it made him laugh even harder.

Lira couldn't help but laugh at the names and when she had caught her breath she looked at him with a big grin "you know how I said that the last names you suggested were to be kept as a plan B? Well these names, their not even suitable for a plan Z, sorry but they just aren't" she said as she couldn't hep but think over the names again and shook her head, laughing once more before calming down moments later, catching her breath "umm...good suggestions though...? Alright, who am I kidding? They are terrible suggestions, lets try again shall we?" She said as she looked down at the rabbit and gently placed him back into the cage, thinking it may be more cmfortable in there for him where he can be jolted around if she ended up having another laughing fit thanks to the 'bad' comedian beside her.

He grinned all the more at her merriment at his antics, glad to finally be able to make a smile come to her face. "No offense taken!" When the female set the rabbit back, he was sure to close the cage so the critter wouldn't accidentally hop out. "Hmm. Well, since we are both raising the bunny I do think both of us should be present in his name. What about Kira?"

Kira...Kira...Lira thought over the name and looked at him "I like it and yet...I can't help but think it sounds a little more feminine then masculine" she said, not that it mattered much, there were male Pae with feminine sounding names and vice versa, she would just have to get used to it "though with saying that I would probably just have to get usd to it but I can't really say no to it either, regardless what my thoughts are" she said as she looked at the and then at the rabbit "what do you think cutie? You like the name Kira?" She asked it, finding it silly to expect the rabbit to have an opinion but still, stranger things have happened on this island, a Pae talking to rabbits is probably considered 'normal'.

She was right. The male rubbed his forehead with a chuckle, shaking his head. "I told you I'm awful with names. You can certainly say no!" He peered into the peep hole he had made in the rabbits enclosure. "Why couldn't you be a female bunny? Well...Lets see. If we flip Kira around, its Arik...Arik...Erick? That's masculine right?"

Lira looked from the rabbit to the male and grinned at him "you know, I am actually liking Arik, it is unusual and unique but I do like the sounding of it" she said as she looked at the rabbit "what say you little one? You like the name?" Once again, she wasn't expecting an answer but she looked back at the other "you know, you are not so bad with names after all" she said as she looked at the rabbit "that is, if you don't mind that name" she said, knowing it was silly to ask him, he suggested it, but still, it was polite to make sure and all that.

The male all but beamed when finally a name suggestion was not only accepted, but liked. "Hey, one good name out of...six...isn't that bad!" He turned his attention to the rabbit, where he seemed to stand on his hindlegs after Lira spoke to him with the second recommendation. Kaiden laughed softly. "Hey, I don't speak bunny but...I think that's as close as we're going to get with an approval at a name."

Lira giggled "no, it isn't bad but you do need to work on it" she said looking at him, teasing him a little and looked back at the rabbit "and I think you may be right, I think we have just witnessed the first sign that rabbits may just understand us after all" she said as she opened up the cage, having seen how the other did it before and gently took the rabbit out "so, Arik, I guess you will be coming home with us to live the rest of your days as a spoilt kept rabbit" she said as she kissed his little soft head. "And I don't think you will mind somehow" she said as she looked back to Kaiden "I guess this means three things, one congratulations on becoming a father, two, a celebration, if only a small one is in order and three, we need to figure out what we are going to keep this little guy in and make sure it is big enough for him before going to Rais and telling him two of his Faun are now parents to an orphaned baby rabbit" she said, just wanting to make sure it would be alright mostly, clearing it with him would be better then just assuming he would be alright with it, she didn't want to get on his bad side.

The proud father of a tiny, frightened bunny. The thought alone was hilarious. "He has your eyes." Kaiden teased right back, flashing a wide grin. "And I believe a celebration is in order! We can easily snag some carrots and the like from the kitchen, just for Arik. As for Rais...It may be best to go to one of his main council members instead." Troubling the chief for such a trivial manner would almost be an insult and a complete waste of time for the other. But he didn't want to break the rules by any stretch either.

Lira laughed and looked the rabbit over "and he has your cute little nose" she teased back as she cuddled the little one closer to her a little more "and that will be good, this little one will deserve a nice big feed" she said as she looked up at him "sorry, yes, lesser is fine, I have stayed by myself so long in my room I am a little out of touch with who goes to who about certain things, this will be the first time since I have arrived here that I have seen or talked to any council members so I am a tad ignorant on who I go to though I must admit I am a little nervous speaking to any of them if truth be told but I need to, we both do, so I will have to accompany you" she said, thinking maybe it was best to let him do the talking when they saw them.

He grinned as he reached down to pat the bunny on it's tiny head. "As sad as it is, Arik probably should stay here until we get permission. I doubt it would be an issue, but I don't want to assume either. But he's been in this box for a few days now, so another day or two shouldn't hurt him." As for actually speaking with a counsel member, he was truthfully a bit nervous himself. It would be the first time he would speak to anyone of any authority. However it needed to be done, and the opportunity for such an honor...he couldn't possibly pass it up.

Lira sadly nodded "yes, I think it is best he does as well, I hate just leaving him but I will come back later and bring a few carrots for him and...I don't know, how can I get water into them, I guess though, since he will now have to be trained to be a pet rabbit and not a wild maybe we should start teaching him how to drink from a plate or something?" She suggested "though, I wonder if I could speak to that new Fauny that arrived at the Tree recently, I don't know who she is or where I would find her but apparently she is a animal lover, she loves taking care of animals or something, maybe she would be able to tell us, i just have heard about her whilst wondering around the Tree at different times when I have left my room, but apparently she is obsessed with taking care of animals, maybe she would be best to talk to if it is alright to keep him in the Tree" she suggested once more as she placed the little guy back in his cage and shut the door and locked it. "That is, though, you will be helping me find her if that is alright, I know my way a little around the tree but mostly it is just to the kitchen, the seamstress's place and the 'bath house' and that is pretty much it besides, of course, the meeting room so yeah, I think I am going to need your help, that is, if you don't mind" she said, hoping he would help because she really didn't want to get lost in this place even if it would be some what of an adventure to try and find her way back to her room "I hate leaving him but I guess it can't be helped" she said as she smiled sadly at the little guy "we will be back later darling, we will bring you some food and a blanket" she promised as she stood up and softly sighed, leaving the darling, even for a couple of days, was heart breaking but at least she would be back, that was the important thing, she would get him settled in the tree soon enough.

He paused a moment as he looked at the bunny before shrugging. "Animals are pretty adaptable. I'd think he would know to drink from the bowl...still. We should keep an eye on him the first time to make sure he does or doesn't." But then she brought up another faun, a surprise to him. For such a shy faun, she was already up to talking to strangers. Perhaps he made her feel braver? It was a warming thought. He nodded, flashing a smile. "That sounds like a good plan. Do you remember her name?" He wasn't close to really any particular faun in the tree, but it was certainly possible that he knew who she was. From there it was only a matter of tracking her down and asking about Arik. He offered a hand to help her stand before turning to leave.
