"... Wouldn't that make things a problem for you?" If he was helping Me'urra, who was her father's enemy... Itzal's ears perked up at her response to his other question. "I see. Mate-like closeness due to circumstance..." The snort suggested that she didn't actually feel anything towards him besides maybe grateful. That conclusion was surprisingly disappointing.

“How would that be a problem for me?” She didn’t understand his question until a moment of thought. “Oh you mean you helping Me’urra and probably causing my dad problems.” That was funny. “Honestly you think I would take shelter here, with Me’urra’s mate, if it were really that much of a problem? My father and mother would never hurt me and are very protective of me but too much so. I’m trapped in this place.” She sighed. “Closeness due to circumstance. Yeah that’s about how it is. It could change if either of us wanted it to, but really whose brave enough to want to change? If it where that easy I would have left a long time ago.” She laid her head down and kept starring at Itzy surprised she let so much of herself out.

"... That is true..." But then again, Nocturne seemed to share the same apathetic nature that he and Haides had. His ears perked up when she said she was trapped. That was... how he felt. Eternally trapped. Aleda's next comments finished the bonding reaction. He felt connected to her, something he had trouble with--even with Haides. His eyes opened, and for once, he remembered the conversation. He slowly got to his feet, speaking at he did so. "I am... not brave. However..." Itzal forced his body into motion, moving across the small cave and approaching the red mare. "I should... at least be capable of..." His legs shook and his body protested, eyes blurring his vision. He didn't want to run into her, so he changed his direction ever so slightly, slamming into the wall next to her before sinking down to the stone floor. No, the stallion didn't quite get where he wanted, but at least he was next to her now...

She happened to glance at him as he was getting up and noticed his eyes were open and alert. Crap! She thought she was gonna get yelled or something still when he wobbled to the cave was next to her and dropped down she stared at him in shock for a moment. A few things ran through her mind. One it was a good thing this was a small enough cave or he’d have likely killed himself trying to get up and move about so much. The second was that the stupid idiot had gotten up and moved next to her. It was even better then offering simple words. Smiling she shifted her body without getting up so that she could drape a wing over him. “Braver than me, but not nearly as tough. Then again a cute girl like me has to be tough enough for two or three if she’s gonna make it in this herd.” She didn’t say what his momvment implied and if he was silly enough to ask she’d tell him, but for now she was just content to lay next to him.

Itzal was too tired to even react to the wing being draped over him. The gesture was a little... comforting. It felt like it wasn't just a one-way connection now. That there was something there, something that he'd subconsciously been searching for in his aimless wanderings. His eyes slid closed as she spoke, a rare, genuine, happy smile forming on his face. "I'm glad you are," he mumbled in reply. "If you weren't, we both would've been in... trouble before..."

She decided that she definitely wouldn’t point out that it was because of her wave that trouble happened in the first place. If he wanted to believe it was lucky to meet her and then who was she to deny such a belief? She just smiled and decided to get some rest herself since she would likely need it for later trying to come up with a way to introduce her new ‘mate’ to her dad. Who knows maybe mom had mellowed him some so that he wouldn’t try some stupid deed like trying to kill Itzy.

(( Time skip to Aleda introducing Itzal to Cardinal? ))
PostPosted: Wed Jun 05, 2013 5:23 am

Waking up feeling a bit stiff Aleda yawned and shifted. She felt a warm body next to her and enjoyed it for a moment before peeking at who was sleeping next you her. It was Izty, that made her smile a bit. She heard hooves echoing in the chamber and looked about in time to see nocturne. The mare was looking at the pair silently with her head tilted deciding on something. Then with that oddly expressionless face she stated that her mate was coming and perhaps she and her companion might choose to leave soon. With that the mare turned and left again. Shaking her head she wondered why Noct didn’t just call Iztal her brother. That’s what they were right, brother and sister? She moved her wing she had had draped over him. “Hey Itzy time to get up. Me’urra’s coming we had best go.” She thought she heard Nocturne’s voice echo down into the the chamber from outside. It sounded like she was greeting someone. Crap.

Itzal's eyes shot open, his pupils dilated as if he was both startled and about to attack something. His muscles bunched in preparation to attack the nearest living thing, but two things distracted him: the many protests of his injured body and the presence of a warm body next to him. He blinked, the insanity draining from his expression as he looked at Aleda. His ears swiveled to pick up the sound of Nocturne greeting someone. "... I think we're too late." That wasn't where Itzal's focus was, though. He was still trying to get over the fact that he was awake and in complete control of himself. And yet he could feel his emotions; they weren't frozen like they usually were. Even so, the stallion didn't show the pain that he was feeling; that had been beaten into him long before he snapped. He inspected his side and added, "I'm not sure I can move more than a few feet right now either." His coat was becoming discolored by the bruises that were trying to take over his entire side. Well. This was going to be good. Apparently, although she had no problem with Nocturne, her mate was a different story. He guess it made sense; Me'urra and Cardinal did have a fierce little feud going.

Sighing she nodded. Well let’s hope that Nocturne can redirect him.” The clatter of hooves coming down made Aleda hopeful that it was Noct but the hardness of the echo was all wrong because of the sharpness in them. Curling up to seem smaller and closer to Itzal’s side she kept her eyes on the entrance and was not surprised to see Me’urra enter. He was quite and due to the small size of the room it didn’t take long for his gaze to look over both Itzal and herself. She shivered not really knowing what to expect. She had come across Nocturne by accident when she was younger and most of the herd didn’t know of this place but Me’urra was her father’s enemy and may well kill her on sight. She swallowed hard not really knowing if she would be able to leave this place alive.

Me’urra stared at the intruders. He had asked Nocturne if anything interesting happened and she said a male claiming to be her brother stopped by. He asked what the male looked like surprised since he had thought Nocturne alone in this world. She had told him why not look for himself since the male was bloody and beaten. Seeing the male Me’urra was suspicious. The male didn’t really look much like his mate and there was the small issue of Cardinal’s daughter curling into the strange male’s side. “My my a bit far from home little bird. Your father would be most disappointed in your coming here.” Me’urra stayed back leaning lightly on the wall at the entrance to the resting place.

"Ah. That would be my fault." Itzal lazily inspected whom he assumed was Me'urra. So this was the one Nocturne had chosen to mate. "Apologies for the intrusion. This was the safest area in the vicinity to rest." His expression was eerily calm as he rested his head near Aleda's, as if silently proclaiming himself her shield. Behind the apathetic calm--that was nearly identical to Nocturne's--was his psychotic, chaotic anger, attempting to seize control. But Aleda's presence seemed to keep it tamed enough to prevent it from surging up and sending him into another fight. Noting the blue-and-green stallion's expression, he spoke again. "If you have a question, feel free to ask. I have no qualms around answering. However, I cannot guarantee a satisfactory answer."

Ah so the red male was claiming responsibility. That was interesting… “Several questions really. Sooner or later I’ll get answers. First what caused that kind of mess?” He jerked his head in the male’s direction. “Second how is Cardinal’s spawnling being here your fault stranger?” His eyes twinkled with mischief. “Perhaps you’re her mate?” That thought brought a laugh out of him. The idea of Cardinal pissed and annoyed that one of his daughter was the funniest thing he could think of. Maybe he’d keep the male around even it wasn’t really related to his mate. “There is also the small matter of relation to my mate that I would like to sort out before I get to vexed.” His stance was still relaxed and his voice was calm in spite of his words. He made no hostile action toward the pair.

Aleda shook her head. She didn’t really want to answer the male’s questions and kept close to Itzal.

"First, a fight with a stallion named Garth Andvari caused this kind of mess. Second, Aleda was considerate enough to assist me in getting here since I was disoriented from a hoof strike to my skull." Itzal didn't comment on the mate jab. Quite frankly, he wasn't sure about their relationship--and even if he did, it was none of Me'urra's business. "Your mate is my sister. We haven't seen each other since we were still in blankets, so I am not surprised she does not remember me."
PostPosted: Tue Jun 18, 2013 10:01 am

Garth Andvari. That name sounded somewhat familiar. Wasn’t that one of Cardinal’s minions? He didn’t think for certain but it sounded like the kind of stallion that was around that group often enough. Still if that was the case why would Aleda bother to help the male if one of her father’s underlings did the damage? “No she doesn’t remember. She was all alone when I met her as filly and we’ve been together since. All that time I was certain she had no family.” He sounded rather bored with this conversation. “I don’t really believe your claim to all of it but that’s not really my concern at the moment. The answers given will suffice. For now I’ll let you both rest her just to vex her father.” His eyes flicked to Aleda quickly before he turned to leave.

Aleda looked at Itz. “Me’urra seems.. interesting.” She had no idea where to place him. He was helping her just to annoy her dad or was there another reason. He seemed fairly laid back but she had heard stories from her father that told otherwise.

Itzal watched him leave, then nodded to Aleda's comment. "Interesting is... one way to put it. I would've said controlled." He rested his head now that he wasn't being asked questions anymore, eyes sliding shut. "All alone, huh...?" His sister had been alone all that time... and he had been the one to condemn her to that life. It was a heavy burden to bear. Almost as heavy as...

No, he couldn't think about that now. That thought... that thought would torture him back into insanity.
