Daja stared at the lone dice. Would it be a three? Or would it taunt him further. Carefully, he picked up the last remaining, working it in his paw before letting it fall....
Sadistic. That's what these dice were. One single digit off, and no reward for him. He contained his rage though, returning to his corner. With a previous 39, he was at 43 now with today's 4.
This was his last chance. Carefully, Daja took the dice in his hand, and then flung them at the floor, hoping perhaps this style change would perhaps be in his favor.
No such luck. With a daily total of 17, added to his past 43, he was left at a round 60.
The first master of this trial has been found! In the distant tolls a bell that confirms this. The walls shake and crumble around you. IT'S A CAVE IN! RUN FOR IT! In all the chaos, you somehow manage to make it back to the foyer. You glance over your shoulder and realize where there was a walkway there is now a solid wall. What is going on, you wonder.
Once more the maniacal laughter rings out over the nervous silence. You could hear a muted conversation as if it were a TV behind a closed door. Then, the silence resumed.
You glance loosely amongst the group and take to your own ideas.
Taking a sigh thinking the worse was over. Suddenly, another tremor. Stumbling back, you fall into a wall. You sink to the floor while watching the middle of the foyer's floor give way to a large gold bowl. The bowl sparked ablaze and at certain points on its rim sat floating oil lamps, each a different color. There was a single lamp that burned brighter than the rest; it was pink.
So, since I opened this up as a daily thing... I had to do some crafty math to bring down those scores...
SO! Your total / (divided) by number of days participated.
Round 2 coming up before 5 tonight.
I hope you're looking forward to it!
Can't wait to see what happens! whee

The pink light on the lamp fizzled out and the wispy smoke floated down the hall. You and the others watch it as the second tapestry drew back. It was adjacent to the now walled room. There sat the genie with a quill and parchment scrawling all over it as if she were brainstorming. She rolled over her back and looked toward the doorway. "Oh! Good! You're here! Come, come!" she beckoned. Her mane was mussed from running her paws through it.
She sat up and expectantly waited for everyone to join her. The genie explained that she was having issues with coming up an idea for a new story. Her mission for you was to spin ideas for it.
This week the mystical genie wants help with a story. Over the course of this next week, you will have the opportunity to add ideas to the story. You will have the opportunity to build a story. The genie will give you questions to further along the tale. They will choose the best answer (RNG'd) and will go on.
Each day you will be given up to 2 questions/prompts (to save on time). I would like people who are committed to this event to participate this week. Considering the depth of this round. Each prompt, will be in the form of an RP reply (so IC of pet playing). Answers and new questions will be selected and given respectively at 5 pm the next evening; to keep with consistency. So, by Saturday evening we will have a complete short-story and new Master!
Questions? Poke me 3nodding

[I won, so can't participate in this round, but I thought it would be fun to put in a story anyway.]
Maud'dib liked the sound of this. He'd spent a great deal of his youth listening to the tales of the desert folk. But a story of a little boy and his talent spoke to his heart. He sat down before the beautiful genie and began his story....
Once upon a time, there was a young boy, born into a family of power and wealth. His name was Paul, and his father was a Duke. Growing up, it was always assumed that the boy would one day wear the mantle of his father, and thus he was schooled and trained to be both a leader and a soldier. He excelled in both, and his father was very proud of him. His mother on the other hand, was concerned about her sons future, for she strongly believed that her sons future would take another path. A path that would generate enemies and great danger. She said nothing of her fears to the duke, or to her son, but kept them safely hidden in her heart. For she herself was of a special group of women who had certain talents of their own, and she hoped that those talents had been passed onto her son. Only time would tell if she was right, but if she was, Paul would one day be a great leader of more than just their own people.
Thanks, Shanra If you want to participate in the RP part, go right ahead 3nodding 2 pts; R2 - D1

Aurora thought about these questions for a while before attempting a response.
"I knew a boy, once... His name was Marvin, and he could always find things for me when I needed them, even when nobody else could. It was like they would call out to him from wherever they were, or maybe like he could tell where things would be from being able to see right through the person who lost them. I'm not sure. But it was definitely a talent!"
Aponi loved storytelling and pondered the questions presented to her and the rest of the group. She listened to Maud'dib's and Aurora's stories. It was finally her turn. She had heard a story that she found most enjoyable on her long journey to this place.
" His name Ska'larra, but often went by Ska. He lived with his mother in a small village and helped out in her shop when he could. You see, his mother's a shaman and his father died in battle before Ska was even born. Ska was great with herbs and medicines as well as making salves and potions. He soon learned that he had the ability of a seer, just like his mother. Ska was able to barter for things that he and his mother needed with his ability and the two managed to survive in the small town that they called home."
Aurora looked around at the others who had told their stories, but since they remained quiet, she decided to speak out of turn!
"Well, one time, Marvin just came across something and he didn't know who it belonged to. Usually his talent worked the other way around! So he tried to think of it in terms of a thing that had lost its person. He thought about what kind of person would have left their planner near a playground in the first place, and he looked at the next event scheduled in the planner.
breaking for rolling sake The location was within walking distance from the playground; it was actually just on the other side of the park! Marvin saw the birthday party from across half the park, and went up to his neighbor's mother. He handed her the planner, and she was so pleased that she gave him a really big piece of cake! So, I guess he went to an event, sort of, but it was the planner that invited him, if anything."
