"Forget it." He turned the Jeep back around and headed back to the boardwalk. Perhaps the ship was not too damaged to start running again soon. Then he could hitch a ride to barton. He recieved a message in his head. Allright then, I'm on it. He drove over the dunes back to the boardwalk.

Flare approached the place where the ferry would have been if it wasn't crashed into the boardwalk. It was no hindrance to her, as she could simply fly over the waters.

And over the waves Flare flew, towards the Port of Gambino.

A giant wave formed and crashed towards the boardwalk.
Luckly for anyone who wanted to get across, the displacement of water made a Land bridge that they could cross to the mainland.

The green lump on the tarmack got caught up in the rush as well, though instead of the mansion, a tide seemed to catch it sending the object right smack against the land bridge that formed by the ferry.
It floated against the higher ground, a brightly coloured piece of debris.

Slowing down quite a bit now, Rage took a seat at the Ferry docks to regain her breath. Something interesting and shiny caught her eye, however... what was it? She stood back up, still breathing heavily but beginning to walk towards it. She wondered if anyone else saw it....

Wondering what a land brigde was doing here in the first place and what the shiny derbis was doing there, she decided it wasn't going to hurt anything if she picked it up and put it in her backpack for the time being, looking around to make sure nobody noticed - she wasn't much of a thief.
Assuming nobody noticed, she'd mull about the area for a little bit to try to look a little less conspicuous.

No point in hanging around any longer. Owle was still in trouble. Wondering why she had a soccer ball now (which she just decided to stuff into her pack, which seemed to be holding far more than an ordinary backpack should), she headed off towards the Boardwalk. The mansion shouldn't be too far away now.

And just then 4 people stopped near Rage, though 3 were in nightclothes and the other in green tights and had elf ears...oh yeah, and they were flying.
"Think lovely thoughts Think lovely thoughts Fishing Hoopskirt Candy!
Picnics Summer Candy!
Sailing Flowers Candy!
Lovelier thoughts, Michael!
Christmas?!
PETER PAN: Ah, ah, flying! Like an owl, like a bat, Or the crow, It's so satisfying!
I'm whizzing Through a cloud Past the star I'm so proud Look how far I breeze in High over the moon Higher I fly By old mister moon Wave me goodbye
I'm flying. (Flying, flying, flying) Heading far out of sight Second star to the right Now the way is clear Never Land is near Follow all the air Cause I'm about to disappear I'm flying!"

"That's it. I'm getting the [censored] out of here," grumbled Rage, sprinting off to the Boardwalk.

Rage was moving at a slower and more deliberate pace now, coming from the Boardwalk. All this running was getting to be too much, and for now she'd just walk. No reason to attract suspicions.

A large, bluish dragon bounded towards the dock, Vahn and Alex riding along. She skidded to a stop as soon as wood supported her, talons sliding in the puddles and seaweed. Before her lay a thoroughly soggy land bridge. Little One? she telepathed to Vahn. Little One, what happened here? Do I still need to swim? Since there is land, are you going to return to the beach for your noisy contraption? If you go, will you go alone? Where should I go? All of the questions were jammed together, Kira's head flitting back and forth very quickly. Inquisitive by nature, her need to protect her two riders still shot through all thought.

"Don't stop."
Vahn wasn't sitting, he really couldn't.
Instead he was somewhat standing, his hands on whatever support he could find, as he stared forward, like a certain straw hatted captain would have sat atop the figurehead of his vessel.
"Even if a mountain was in our way... don't stop."
He had to keep moving forward.
Alex clung to their bags as best as she could wondering why he couldn't be bothered to at least hang onto his duffel bag a little more better.

As if branded in the rear end by Vahn's words, Kira sprang forward onto the land bridge, and promptly sank up to her ankles in the muck. With a loud squelch, she ripped her paws from the sludge and plodded on at a slightly slower pace, still making good time nonetheless.
