Coronus nooded. "Yeah in a few of them but I did not need to know that because I already knew that fighting was going to happen soon I saw it in my quest to become an elder." She was startled when she heard the dark alicorn speak. She had never met Luna before in her corect body but she had talked to her when she was in her sisters body in another universe. When she heard Celestia call to her sister she realized her hunch was correct and that this was Luna. Coronus was not sure how to act around her because of what had happened with Celestia the first time they met. She then looked at the male angel for the first time she realized he was there was when he spoke. "That would be nice of you I would not mind having an escort with us it would be good because I get lost a lot."

Luna tilted her head at her sister's response, a bit confused. She also blinked a bit at her sister's use of her magic to light up the area, she would have preferred it darker. Led by the spirits? She had known her sister had developed or was developing another power to be able to 'speak' to the spirits, as Luna was able to channel energy from the moon to heal others, but to hear they had led her sister on some sort of quest? She was having a hard time understanding. "It would seem then the spirits have told many to follow their wings." she blinked, looking at Coronus and Aquos in turn.
Hadn't she seen the blue winged one somewhere before? Ah, the maze wasn't it. He was with her sister, no? She had chosen funny friends in her mind but then after what happened to her, she found she couldn't much judge on what others did at the ball.. that was not fun. "It is noble of you to offer such services. " she nodded to Aquos. It would seem she was now drawn into some sort of 'dangerous' journey? And yet she found her self with many more questions than when she had arrived.

Harveer shrugged, smiling some. "Thank you, you're just as skilled." He grinned, nudging her gently. That's what normal friends did right? The playful touching shoving thing? Eh, it didn't mater. If she didn't like it she was more than capable of showing it or telling him that she didn't like it.
"It was a good chance to realize who your true allies are." He nodded, remembering how traumatic the events in the marsh had been. The heretic leader was never going to be saved. Though, Harveer had to admit, there hadn't been much chance of that in the first place with that leader. Harveer mentally rolled his eyes.

Genesis smiled, a real genuine smile, though it was short-lived when she realized she was doing it. This was no time for fun, they had to complete their mission and they were wasting time. See? She had been absolutely right about him proving to be a distraction. Like Alethea, Genesis could also hear Lailah off in the distance, she glanced over at Harveer, "Should we approach?" Genesis asked him as her eyes narrowed and looked off in the direction of the voices.

Alright, seriously, the festive fairy was starting to get a little pissed off and usually that doesn't happen till waaay down the line after someones pushed her buttons for a good amount of time but this little pest was just getting on her nerves more so then usual "considering you are doing a poor job of 'looking after yourself' now I don't think you can or else you wouldn't just walk up to two strangers and interrogate them, you would FIRST watch them and make sure they pose no threat and THEN come out and when I mean 'watch first' I mean actually study them for a good long while not just a few minutes." She said as she lent on her staff, getting bored and tired of this situation "because you don't know if we can fight and if we can you don't know if you will be dead or not because you haven't made sure to stake out what we are like, how we think and act etc, you come along and wish to interrogate us and yet you are up against two adults who could easily kill you right here and now.
So may I suggest working on 'taking care of yourself'? Because watching someone for a few minutes doesn't count as proper spying" she said as she looked at the other "oh goodie! Those types of kids are fun!" She said said with a fake smile and in a sarcastic 'happy' tone "you know, I wonder what would happen if we just moved past her and just ignored her" she said thoughtfully to the other. "Because unless there was a way to shut her up for good we will be going around in circles with her and I wish to make it to the cave before night fall" she said, not wishing to stay in a scary forest when night came, that cave will be scary enough without the possibility of having whatever lurks in this forest eat you for its dinner.
And it is a pleasure to meet you Nyx, I am Astraea, Astra for short" she said as she shook the others hand "one good thing to come from this I just possibly made a new friend, at least I have you to help me out with her, thank you for that" she said, pleased to have met someone who was kind enough to help her and make a new friend for her troubles, maybe this little trip wouldn't be so bad after all.

Well, that was a new revelation that actually gave Lailah pause. Ignoring their continued rudeness at pretending she didn't exist, she fixed her glare on the darker Faery contemplating this before speaking. "You know, you speak insolently for the daughter of one of the Guardians' chosen." Had she not been taught how to be polite? Apparently not. Though, she had said that her mother 'was' an Elder. There were no more Elders now, Lailah knew this well. They had all failed in their responsibilities and been demoted. Disgraced. Shamed. Left as normal Pae'il once more.
To have angered and disappointed the Guardians so...she hoped to never be the target of such shame.
Perhaps, this former Elder had fallen so far, that she had been corrupted. That would explain her daughter's insolent nature. She squared her stance, arms gripped behind her back and feet placed solidly in military 'at ease'. "If your mother has any loyalty left to the Guardians then, I would like to hope that means that you have been sent to help us. But, if you were sent to aid us, why did you not speak sooner? Why aim to deceive us...unless you have been corrupted and turned from the Light. In which case, on the authority of the Guardians, I'll be forced to take you into custody for later questioning. We have more important matters to deal with at hand. For now, you need to answer my question. What is your purpose in traveling to this 'cave' and what knowledge have you of it? Speak now."
She ignored a majority of the infuriating babble spewing from the lighter Fae's mouth, only adding in her direction, "If you threaten me, you make yourself a traitor to the Light. Consider your actions carefully."

Harveer nodded. "Lets go. Lailah likes to stab before she likes to converse." He shifted a bit, picking his pace to get to the bloody angel at the end of her own rant. Oh guardians, the two fae in front of them were being stupid then.
"Wonderful." He grinned, reaching to press a hand to Lailah's shoulder. "Calm Sister, they're clearly heathens." Harveer was braced to be thrown, judging from Lailah's stance.

Genesis followed after Harveer, catching the end of the conversation. Sounded like they were declaring pae traitors now. Genesis sized up the two fae, considering the likelihood of that being the case. Genesis liked to observe first and talk later. However, it was clear from what Genesis and Harveer had walked in on, that tensions were already high. This had not been part of their mission, they were doing recon on the cave, what could these two possibly know, but Genesis, of course, hadn't heard everything yet.

Unseen by the two Fae, Lailah had been tapping out a steady rhythm with two fingers against her opposite arm behind her back, silently counting in her head to remain calm. It was a sure sign that she was tense, more so than she appeared, but few of the Squires would likely know her well enough to have picked up on this quirk. She'd tried to keep it subtle.
Still, she knew that her foes stood before her, and her allies surrounding. Her reaction to Harveer's hand on her shoulder could have been much worse. As it was, she only started to throw an elbow strike into his ribs, halting two inches before contact with a glare. It was not hostility she meant to aim towards her ally though, only the residual of what she was feeling towards the two Fae. Instead, still seeming eerily calm, considering her earlier fury, she launched into a brief report to her comrades.
"These two have been following us. When asked why, they responded that they were 'going to the cave, with everyone else'," she enunciated clearly, her point lying beneath her words. Who would know of their destination or purpose except the Squires, or the Heretics who had secrets hidden there? And these were certainly not Squires. They were mere Fae.
"Therefore, I must be inclined to agree with your judgment, Harveer. This one," she gestured towards the darker Fae, "claims that her mother was a former Elder. I suspect that they have fallen far from the Light, if this is true." She held her 'at ease' stance once more, facing the two Fae. "You have your choice. Answer my questions honestly, or submit to custody on the authority of the Guardians."

Now that Genesis had received more information about what Lailah had witnessed with these fae, she paused for a moment more to think. It really made no sense to her that anyone else would know about this mission with the exception of those in a position of power perhaps. Genesis was brushed up enough on her modern history that she knew that two fae couldn't possibly be in a position to know... however there were more caves on this island then just the one they were after. "Lailah... do we know without a doubt that these two are even seeking the same cave that we are?" Genesis couldn't imagine these fae were worth their time, other then distracting them from their true mission.

Nyx was mad that insolent teen had insulted her mother she took slow deep breaths to calm her anger. she noticed the teen stance and sighed she should have known military type her mother had told her never get messed up with military types they were the hardest type to work with. "My mother never left side of the guardians and nether have I so stop treating me as a traitor. Because on whos authority do you have to us traitors? We have that right before anything else." oh look she has friends here "Astra be careful this is a more dangerous than what I first thought." She then turned to the 3 of them and looked the blood red angel right in the eye. "I am Nyx Daughter of Coronus former elder. As I have said a few times now I know nothing about the cave I was only told to come here and see what is going on. I do not believe that there is any thing wrong what I am doing. But from your presence I have a bad feeling this has to do with the war that my mother told me she saw in the future." She was dead serous. My friend here seems to be just exploring the area wanting to see the cave that people are talking about for her self." she did not break her stare with the blood red angel. "Also just for your information my mother believes she can do more things now that she is not a elder than she could do before. Now may we go? Also I was never fallowing you I do not even know were I am going."

Astra listened to the others that had shown up and backed a way a little, what had she gotten messed up in? But taking a deep breath she stood her ground again and was pleased at least she had Nyx with her, whoever this elder was though was making her a little curious but that could wait till later as there were more pressing matters at hand and looked at one called Harveer "heathens?" She questioned "considering she is doing a good job at..." Astra fell quite, hearing Nyx state that this was more dangerous then what she first thought so Astra decided that she would bite her tongue and just stay back a little. Nyx seemd to to know about this group whereas she was ignorant so it seemed it would be better to let Nyx do the talking then make matters worse for them both and besides, she hated fighting, she wasn't about to do or say anything that may get them hurt and so hopefully she would be able to get out of this either injury free, living or without being their captives.

Lailah blinked at her fellow Squire's question. It wasn't something she'd considered. Though, honestly, she'd been stuck on the assumption because the Faery had pointedly said that she was following them. Obviously, if she mentioned a cave at all, she had to mean the same one, didn't she? "I admit, I cannot confirm that," she answered in a quiet voice to her brethren. "However, the first one did say that she was following us and 'going to the cave' so I had assumed that she meant the same. That...was my mistake, but an honest one," she bit out, even knowing she'd made a mistake didn't make it any easier to admit.
Turning once more to the dark Fae, Nyx apparently, she continued in a calm voice, a direct contrast to the furious tapping of fingers and counting going on in her head to remain in control. "Yes, 'former' Elder. We've got that. You still are missing the point. Who are these 'people' that you refer to that have been discussing the cave? And just what is it that they are saying?" Her golden spiral eyes met the Fae's and there was no fear, nor doubt. She was strong in her faith. She wouldn't let the accusations nor meaningless words shake her.
"We have little time to spare here," she commented to the other Squires. Honestly, she was struggling to keep her own dark urges towards this strange pair under control. "I am beginning to think that they are only confused and lost, and know nothing that will help us on our way. They seem to be no threat, other than keeping us from our task."

Genesis paused to listen to what the pae were saying in their defense, but one was clearly taking an offense. She slowly nodded her head in agreement with Lailah, she couldn't guarantee that Lailah had been mistaken, there was no telling either way. If these pae really were just lost though, there had been a lot of time wasted on them. Genesis would just be sure to keep an ear open for them once they left in case they had been mistaken. Before any more words could be exchanged, the teen angel answered Nyx's question, "Yes, you may take leave." Genesis wondered if she should perhaps clarify and send them in another direction or if it would reveal too much of their business. "It would be best if you do not continue to 'follow' us, unless you want trouble. I suggest walking in that direction." Genesis pointed to the west, where the lake would approximately be. She didn't want them going in the direction of the cave or the rest of their group.

Harveer didn't flinch when Lailah almost hit him. He'd been braced for it. However, he hadn't been braced for Genesis' voice of reason. The male angel had to admit, there was a chance that whatever these two fae were talking about.. While he hadn't been there the entire conversation. Genesis was right.
"I think we should get Master Hania out here on this..." That way they could get squires up to the cave.. Though both of the females were right. Lailah, the voice of reason. Who would have thought that. Especially when she had seemed so furious before.
