"It's lonely at home, even with your son?" Iggy thought he could guess what David really meant. A son was just not the same. Once they grow up their focus and interests stray from their parents. So even with him there, perhaps it could seem like he wasn't. "I think I understand. Stay here as long as you like. My suite is too large for just me, it's nice to have another here with me for a change." Maybe I'd have more reason to come home if it wasn't so lonely. He didn't want to imply that David should stay permanently, or that without him it would be unbearably lonely. That would place some kind of burden on David. But didn't he feel that way, anyway?
(that's my last post for the night, I was falling asleep Dx )

"he's full grown now, so he doesn't necessarily need his father to be around. He's at the age where he has the capabilty to take care of himself" he put in before continuing to lie on his back looking at the ceiling. He looked over at the alpha "i would be okay with staying here with you permanently, if you wanted me to that is" he said "if not i guess i could go back home" he added.

"Yeah, I thought that was probably the case. Just because I feel that is true for my son doesn't mean it would be the same in your family." But it was. The boys were grown up and both he and David were now feeling quite alone. Or at least they had been. David's offer to stay permanently came as a bit of a shock. It had certainly crossed his mind since all of this had begun, but it had been a fleeting thought. "David..." Impulse told him to say yes, of course he could stay, but Iggy's impulsiveness had gotten him in to life-altering trouble in the past and he had gotten in the habit of... restraining himself. That same impulsiveness caused him to jump up, straddling David on his hands and knees, looking down at him face to face, tail waving to and fro. He had been accused of being part dog on occasion... "David I will tell you plainly right now that I want to welcome you to stay forever if you want. But that might be a mistake. So... why don't we try it out for a few days or weeks and see how it works out. If it doesn't work out, no hard feelings, right? But if it does work out, I would be very happy and I know you would be too."

David blinked as Iggy straddled him on the bed before he smiled lightly "You very well know I want to" he said before wrapping his arms around Iggy's Neck and pulling him towards him and kissing him to shut the cat up "Listen, to me carefully...If anything were to go wrong I can assure you that I will leave without any hard feelings. If you would like to live common law for a couple of days or weeks and see how that turns out that's quite alright with me" he said "the only way we can find out if it does..is to try" he put in.

Yes, of course David wanted to. Just thinking it made Iggy smile again. He chuckled when David pulled him close and shut him up with a kiss (he recognized it for what it was). And he did listen. He did believe that at the very least David wanted to believe he would forgive Iggy if ill blood came between them. But there was more at stake here than just a friendship, and for that alone he continued to be uncharacteristically cautious. He nodded. "I feel it would be best if we just... try... for now," he replied, ending it with another kiss. Now that he had David here (or did David actually have him?) he wasn't going to remove himself or let go this time.

David purred as Iggy kissed him, "you talk too much some times" he told the alpha his forehead touching the alphas "you need to learn when to shut up..my dear" he said with a smile before planting yet another kiss on the other. "well..if you feel comfortable with just trying for now..that is purr-fectly fine with me" he said with a purr.

"Being an alpha is kind of a political persuit. Lots of talking," Iggy chuckled, and kissed him again when their foreheads touched. Iggy nipped at his ear. "For now. We can always make our decision before that, too." Feeling David's purring, he lay his cheek against the vibration then kissed it.

David thought about it "ah..that may be true..but we aren't on duty now are we?" he asked the other. "yes we can..and my decision is to shut up and kiss you" he said with a teasing smile. He pulled Iggy closer to him enjoying the warmth the fire cat provided."although..if your decision is to continue talking that's also fine with me" he put in.

"Ah, I guess not!" Iggy admitted. He was not sure about David's situation, but it had been a long time since any pack members had utilized his services as alpha. "No, that's all right, I can shut up too. I'd actually like to learn more about your body."

David grinned "I didn't think so" he said "less talk about pack stuff... more enjoying" he said. "Besides..I'm pretty sure..I have some things I have yet to discover about your body" he said. He planted a kiss on Iggy's neck. "If that is the case, we have all night to discover and learn about each other's body" he purred.

"It's a depressing subject right now," Iggy agreed and leaned his head out of the way when David kissed his neck. "Mm, we have longer than all night," he murmured in David's ear.

**A couple Steamy hours later**
David curled up on the comfortable bed, purring contently. It was definitely a very eventful couple of hours. He gazed around at the air surrounding them and blinked, hm...It didn't look like their elements created anything troublesome. The air looked clean and steam free, how interesting...so their elements didn't go to war with each other. Nonetheless...he glanced over at Iggy and smiled. In his opinion Iggy was purr-fect in bed. He smiled happily and turned to kiss the alpha on the nose.

(Ohohoho, so many puns. I am unashamed to say I love it.)
Ignatius had also noticed the harmony in their elements, which had not created the sauna that he had expected. If anything he felt like his fire was stronger, hotter, and somehow in better control. And only with David did he feel so at ease in mind and body even after their wild, hours-long dance. What had passed between them tonight was a little more than typical lovers. Or perhaps Iggy was just being hopeful. He grinned and nibbled David's chin when David kissed his nose. Then he snuggled close and draped a wing over them.

David snuggled close to the alpha, purring contently. "mmm...that was Purr-fect" he said before curling up against the warmth of Iggy's body. "well..at least what we did, didn't create anything trouble some" he put in.

Iggy buried his face in David's chest and kissed it. "Mmm-hmmm," he replied with a muffled voice. He peeked up and nodded. "I was worried that would happen, but it was almost nothing at all. Except for one thing." He hugged David close and whispered in his ear, "You made my fire stronger. But it isn't out of control." He grinned at David and licked his nose.
