(Maybe Timont can drive Moa and Aiden and end up seeing something interesting from the car on the way.)
PostPosted: Thu Aug 08, 2013 9:15 am

(sounds fun. smile )

Moa looked at them both with a soft smile when it was told that she looks like she just got out of the fire. "Yes... I know.... It is only fair since that was really that last thing I remember before waking up in an alley." She walked over to Aiden and gave her a hug.

It was quickly interrupted when she heard Timont say something about needing to go. Her crimson eyes blinked a few times and then looked over at Aiden. "Um... I think it would be best if Aiden was driven.... If you really don't mind that is."

Timont shrugged. "Fine with me. It's on the way anyway. I'll get my car started." Timont walked out of the apartment, keys in hand. As a last parting thought, he called behind him. "Meet me out front in about five, and then we can be on our way!"

Timont's strolled through the hotel-like hallways until he found the elevator. Pressing the button, he waited for a minute. Boring, but unfortunately how elevators worked. Finally stopping at his level, he entered, pressing the garage button. Inserting his key into the appropriate spot, the elevator lurched upwards. The key alerted the elevator to the exact floor of his parked car. All it would take was a quick walk to his car for him to be ready.

Most of the time he used a chauffer. But sometimes being low-key was important. Technically the car belonged to a 'Matt Smith', who lived somewhere in Novum Fulgar. Of course, Matt Smith was little more than a moniker for the owner of the car. In truth the car was on loan from the family. The meeting organizers, as to keep the meeting out of the spotlight, had lent cars to all going. Booking a private room at a nearby office building, it was assumed that it would look more like a business meeting for some local firm, especially with the crappy cars that they used, rather than a meeting of the highest levels of a Mafia family.

Pulling the car out of the garage, Timont looked around for Moa and Aiden, wondering if they were waiting for him, or if he would be waiting for them.

Puzzled, Aiden raised her eyebrows. There was little to nothing to make sense of and so was the look on her face still as Moa came in for a hug. An arm wrapped lightly around the wolf-woman and Aiden would hold it for three seconds, before pulling back and perhaps a bit much to attempt to resolve her jumbled mind. "But it's been three days and you're all the way in Novum Fulgar. That's so weird! Like how'd you..."

Timont had cut in. It was something so urgent that curious and impatient Aiden would have to wait to hear more of Moa's three-day adventure. Aiden looked behind her, all the way to her previous position, performing one last check to see that all belongings were in her possession. "Yep," she said frowning, "like Moa here said- definitely take us to the hotel unless Moa here is still afraid of cars."

Aiden had no planned courteously for Moa's freights. They'd ride together and Aiden would get her story. Aiden watched as Timont had taken no time to part himself for the moment and was far down and then gone from sight in the hallway. "Moa Moa Moa...." she started once silence had seem to consume their time together at the doorway, "shall we?" A hand gestured out to the hallway and Aiden taking the lead started assuming Moa would shut the door behind.

It was a silver car, older, simple aside from a history marked by scratches, and moved so ungracefully above the road. Such a beautiful apartment, but what s**t car. The vehicle came around the corner and in front where Aiden been standing nearly about the start tapping her feet. She reached for a handle and pulled only to expose the stained interiors, which she'd only questioned once and quickly in her mind. She jumped in the passenger seat. "So how good are your driving skills anyway?"

"If we live, than I'd say I'm good enough, don't you think Aiden?" Timont said, the smirk on his face the only indication that he was joking. He then pulled the car into drive gear, before violently slamming on the breaks. "Break check." He said, after a moment. "I'd say they are working well enough." He than continued on as if nothing had happened.

"So Moa, how did you meet our good Aiden? I'm sure her charm wasn't the reason you became friends. I mean, I guess if you were a snake or something, than her charm would be similar enough to friend someone. But a human? Eh.... she ain't so good with them." He jokingly teased Aiden, while probing into how the two knew each other.

Something bothered him about the newcomer to this little party; and it wasn't about sex (Which was what normally Timont was bothered by). Moa was attractive, there was no denying that. But, she had 'sensed' Aiden. Was this the wolf Aiden had been talking about? Or was this another member of Aiden's party? How many members of Aiden's party were there? What exactly bound them together? And three days ago? That was just after (or before, depending on how literal one takes three days ago) the party, wasn't it? When everything went to s**t? What happened that meant that Moa stayed behind? He realized just how little he really knew about Aiden's travels.

Still, he trusted Aiden, and if Aiden trusted her, than Timont wouldn't be complaining about her presence. And it really didn't hurt she is an attractive one, he thought as he glanced at the rear-view window again, sizing Moa up. He just hoped that the rest of Aiden's were as attractive. Maybe he could start a harem or something. A bemused look quickly flashed over his face. That would be the day.

Timont's eyes glanced on the road once again. The one problem with leaving this early was the traffic. If the meeting had been at a later time, than it would be a breeze. But now? A five minute drive to the Emerald Roof? Make that fifteen minutes. If he's lucky. The one positive would be the drive from the Emerald Roof to the secret meeting would stay the same. That he would have to reach through mostly using back roads.

Moa had stopped when she heard of her fear from Aiden. She stopped and then looked around after Timont had left and sighed. "Well, I am still afraid of them, but it will not really be good for me to just run along side the car so I will go." she said before leaving with Aiden down to the car. "As for the three days I will tell you about them in a little bit."

Once in the car after Aiden got in she bit her lip lightly until the breaks were slammed and she gripped onto the handle tightly. Too tightly for most people as she made a dent in the metal. At that point when she gave a great sigh she heard Timont's question. She laughed nervously before speaking. "Well, it is something of an interesting story..... I had been traveling from the west to the east and ended up in Aes where I met a few people. One of them being Aiden. She was completely drunk at that time with another girl. Since that day I had been around Aiden and the rest until I lost contact with them, but then met up again for the party where the fire was."

At that moment she stopped talking and looked down with pain in her eyes as she covered them with her free hand. "I don't really know what happened... All I remember is the screaming, and running, then the flames and smells of death. I jumped to help people out, but as the place burned.... I guess I fell and then woke up in the alley that was right next to it. After that I had been walking around dazed for three days.... I didn't know where I was going or who I knew or anything. All I knew was that I had to head back and lead people to the west.... Problem was I didn't know who. That is until I sensed Aiden as I was walking by the apartment. Wolf senses I guess." Her wolf ears where out again from the cars movement. She still felt very uncomfortable in cars.

"Ali'Haven Imports, we've come for an inspection of our warehouses in your hold. As you should know we are located 3 kilometers from your borders." Aziz spoke with calm ease, she braced a face of matter-of-factly importance. "Our ID numbers are 190GTX5 and 190DSP7, you can check our arrival in your systems. I'm sure our employer would love to hear about your lack of preparation sir." Aziz glared at the guard with hooded eyes. She knew that her false information would get them through. Mahli had prepared names and codes for the use at every port on the continent.

The guard, eyed them suspiciously for a moment before consulting his computer. When his eyes were cast downward, Aziz winked at Mason. When the guard looked up he silently passed them both pass cards to procede into the faction. "I am sorry ma'am, sir. Please forgive our manners and enjoy your stay."

Aziz waltzed passed the guards with pomposity , playing her part all too well. Once inside the faction walls, she turned and smiled at Mason, "Now that thats all done and settled, lets get down to business, shall we?"

She would be forever in denial when someone tried to distinguish a moment in which Aiden had been drunk. Aiden looked at Moa from the rear mirror, her lips curled and eyebrows raised. "I don't know about completely drunk. I wasn't exactly dancing on tables or anything." She then turned to Timont to further defend herself. "Don't think last night was drunk either. You'll know when Aiden Hymns is drunk." A finger pointed narrowly in Timont's direction.

The day Moa had been talking about had been the longest of Aiden's days. She'd met Vossler then, and it was moments after this first meeting that Aiden would have one of the high commander's machine's in her face as a threat to pull the weapon's trader's body inside out. It was also the day Aiden made what would've been the best alliance of her life.

Although close and easily accessible any other time than the mornings rush hour, the way to the Emerald Roof asked by road asked for the use of main roads and when the car had to slow with the abundance of traffic, Aiden bit her lip. Real or not, Aiden felt the uneasy tension of going nowhere. She let the pause of thought consume a good moment, but then she said, "Moa, I'm sorry. I really did think you had disappeared with the others."

Timont raised a hand in mock surrender. "I wouldn't dream of thinking that Aiden. We all know that if you are drunk with me; you would be vomiting over my finery, if only to piss me off." He then fell into silence, listening to Aiden and Moa chat. A small shift in traffic, and he moved found himself in a lane that was moving. "Finally." He muttered to himself. The impatient driver made some progress before the moving lane hit gridlock. Still, five minutes off the drive, and it meant the seeming progress of movement.

(Yeah, short post, but to be fair to me, I want Aiden and Moa to at least have a decent conversation before we actually reach the Emerald Roof)

Moa smiled slightly with a bit for a chuckle. "Oh, ya maybe, but you were pretty gone that day." she said softly as she looked out the window before she gripped a little bit harder on the handle. She listened to what Aiden had said to Timont before waking to what Aiden had said.

"Well it isn't that far off from what I thought then to. However, as you see I didn't. Though there were a lot of people that were lost in the fire as well.... I wish there wasn't, but there was no changing it from being caught there with no way out." As she spoke her black wolf ears were swishing back and forth from the fear that she had being in a car. This was something she was still not use to since there were nothing like that in the West. "You know... I have been thinking of going back home sometime when I was wandering around, but I guess I got lost." she smiled slightly again.

((sorry for taking so long to reply.... I just had things to do for a few days.))

Then and absolutely not three days past, every loathing feeling was complimented by an act of solution. The adeline had not died down and now, there was the magnificent power to quiet the voice of a good conscience.

Silently standing just to the side of Aziz, he looked for a signal made and it would be then that he'd easily let the impulse carry the bundle of his next decision. Even though so aware of his former self of practical reasoning, he was met by hopeful cravings.

He only looked forward, but he was not staring into the distance where the checkpoint's ending gate was marking the beginning of the metallic city. Rather, while eyes had no destination as Manson was a man who saw all, his ears were lurking for hints to release himself from the tense moment and make it all end his way.

How quickly Aziz's confidence had become available to the scene was how quickly the minion's thoughts would have to retreat and remain only part of a daydream. Upon approval to enter, Manson then appropriately looked at the guards and nodded once and curled a gentlemanly smile before pursuing to close the gap that Aziz had made by motioning towards the first gate. Mouthing anything in there trip through a checkpoint would have daring and although a bold man, Manson would allow the silence till they were away and gone.

At Aziz's exact side, Manson linked his hands behind his back. His lips were tightly pursed, except for the spared moment of when he talk. "Very impressive dear. I had no hint you were so well prepared. Now what's in store for us?"

She couldn't feel the cold, but by how the street rats huddled together, she calculated that the temperatures were below satisfactory. Her eyes gave a soft click as she registered what she could see. Memory was stored, the first memory of the day. That it was cold, and that there were rats.

Crouching in the alleyway, she huddled between two parked vehicles as the wind tunnel hit. Papers and trash shot through the corridor of the alley as the wind rushed through like a rocket, unforgiving towards anything, even the rats. They hid around her feet, unfazed, as they sensed nothing living from her. And indeed, nothing about her was alive.

The android looked down at her unscathed chest. Her "flesh" glistened like water, smooth and reflecting every dirty surface nearby. Her eyes clicked eagerly, her memory strips lapping up images, sounds, and smells hungrily. There was quite a lot to take in, and most of all, confusion. She was only 1742 seconds old, and counting... 1743... 1744... 1745...

But somehow, she wasn't where she was supposed to be.

The android looked down at her unscathed chest. PSU99919 Her name.

"PSU99919," She read out loud, marveling at her crisp, slightly buzzing mechanical voice. "I am not human."

Something in her crawled. Nothing tangible, no... an emotion. Fear, loneliness. The android brought her plastic-covered hands up to her shoulders and hugged, wishing there were human hands holding her close. Funny, for she'd never met a human before.

Parts buzzing as she stood up, PSU99919 strolled down the alleyway until she came to the end, black eyes clicking as she witnessed the bustling chaos of the city, Novum Fulgar. She knew this place. Her memory strips had already been loaded with its name and its geography, nothing more. Stepping out into the road, she wandered about, rather lost.

She wasn't where she was supposed to be. She was supposed to be in the factory, getting in a bus for transport. Did she fall off the bus? No. A flicker of a memory ran through the strip. Somehow, for some reason, she'd been discarded.

"Excuse me," She asked the nearest person. He walked funny, and smelled of alcohol. "Why have I been discarded?"

"Damn, you ain't a hooker," the man replied, squinting his eyes as he looked her up and down. Waving his hand dismissively, he continued to stumble down the sidewalk.

PSU99919's eyes clicked, confused.

Continuing to stroll down the road, she heard many yells directed towards her. "Where is your owner?" The passer-bys asked. "Come here. You're malfunctioning, you should be with your owner."

At first, she walked towards them, believing they could help her. But when one of them raised a gun at her, demanding that she come with them to the junkyards, she ran. She ran swiftly, as fast as her legs could take her.

She wanted to live. She survived discarding, for some reason, and she wanted to keep living.

((Aaaaaaaaand I am so lost that I don't know where to take her from here. After a couple posts I'll probably get more comfortable with this. razz ))
PostPosted: Sat Aug 17, 2013 12:03 am

Aiden was loosely concentrated on the view from outside her window. Out there, when the sun hit and then dulled the neon, the city became a large mirror and reflected down in the depths where glass met concrete was the up and down passage of black suits. In moments, she realized her own tired and warped reflection was staring right back at her, souring upon notice of her current failing appearance. "I don't think they're dead Moa. They're somewhere without us having a good time being all alive and that jazz. They just forgot to send us the invites."

Hungover Aiden unbuckled her seat belt and slumped down, her elbow on car door and cheek laying the weight of the girl's head on her palm. Eyes glared at the traffic, which little progress was made through.

A thought perked up and anyone could see she had become uncomfortable as eyes squinted in lost thought and body adjusted strait with arms loose to her sides when her inside cautioned to bring herself to be a bearer of bad news. She looked in the side mirror to see the person she wanted to talk to before she'd bring up what was next. "Moa, you say you've just been wandering for three days? I mean that's cool and I'm not going to question that, but you've seen the news, right? You know about Vossler, right."

She regretted saying anything immediately. Even newer to Aiden's system was the feeling of guilt. She'd taken part in the little secret of Vossler's death and now she was asked to play pretend as a victim of a terrible surprise. Sight narrowed to her knees which met tightly and fingers didn't dare to do anything to avoid even the slightest hint of the shame. It was also in this moment that Aiden would have seen Nina for the first time.

Aiden had not noticed the machine first, but instead the sun that reflected strait off android's sprinting body and into Aiden's vision, causing her to wince and then thusly stealing away Aiden's darkened thoughts as the form became clear in the just after. And how strange and virgin was the sight of a machine like such running like there was a dear life to be saved.

Moa looked at her for a moment through the mirrors with a very questionable emotion. At first Moa was trying to remember who this Vossler guy was that Aiden was talking about. When she closed her eyes for a moment to get rid of a glare she could remember a face that also came along with Aiden's when they first met. "I remember him... not very well...." she stopped and opened her eyes to look down. "I did knock my head really hard when I fell so memories are kind of shaky..... Also... I don't know what happened to him or even if he is alive.......... However it seems like you know something, by the tone of your voice." she said letting her ears twitch slightly till she noticed even the slightest difference.

"I can tell from the way you said it, that he is no longer among the living."
