It was eerie walking through the remains that was the silver kingdom. It was a proud, thriving city and all of a sudden, it was rubble. It had shops, it had livelihood, and it once was the home of its dear residents, now it lay here as a relic. It was jarring to the hound as he walked past, following behind the phoenix by twenty steps,. He wondered if this was the fate of the kingdoms that fell, was this the end result of what her majesty was worried over?
above all, how could this have happened so abruptly, without warning? It left a lot of questions unanswered and he for one, wanted to know why. Rubble lay over the streets that had Damien hopping and swerving around the broken structures and vacated stalls. There was bound to be robbers soon, collecting the remains and harping them off to the other lands. Was the silver kingdom ever going to be rebuilt?
It was all part of the unknown.
The gardener made a sour face as he tried to push his worries aside, the phoenix was moving somewhere and needed the support if things got dire, it was no time for him to run off and search on his own. "They have strange sayings in this land." he spoke softly, not waning to disrupt any lost spirits caught in the collapse. The plaque was untouched, glistening in the pile of broken pieces and sharp, jagged rubble.
He wasn't sure what to make of the writing, or the fact that it was addressed to travelers. As if it new that foreign visitors would tread upon this place.

She made her way inside, letting her gaze take in everything, her feet moving across the floor carefully as she picked her way around the various fallen debris. Her braid swung at her back, and while for the moment she appeared to be alone, she had the strangest sensation that somebody was watching her. She frowned to herself, tempted to bring her dagger to hand, but held off for the moment.
At the first set of stairs, she paused, catching something shining out of the corner of her eye. Turning, she moved closer to the glimmering that seemed to be buried beneath the rubble. Bending down she moved it all away, and picked up a small object, a smirk rising her lips as she glanced around quickly to make sure nobody was about to sneak up on her from behind to try and steal what she had found.
Placing the object somewhere safe upon her person, she turned again and began the arduos climb up the stairs, moving swiftly, but not so swift as to find herself tripping. Once in a while, the walls around her would shift slightly, and dust would billow just as some small debris would rain down upon her, buffeting against her body. But that was fine, as long as she kept her strength up she could handle a little pain. And it was well worth it as she gathered more small trinkets of miasma on her climb, eyes always searching for more.
It was around the fourth floor that the woman stopped, her eyes falling upon a large slab of stone that looked like it would not be too difficult to move, and there was always the chance that more miasma could be located beneath. She moved towards it, stooping low and setting her shoulder against it before grabbing ahold and heaving with all of her strength.
The slab of stone moved, and she rose up, ready to claim whatever might be hid---
Shaheen suddenly found herself accosted by small, misty looking creatures. An entire swarm of the little pests! They attacked her, though with what she couldn't decipher. Pain lanced from what felt like tiny, burning pinches across her skin.
And then they were gone, and she stared after them, hands rubbing against the sore spots on her arms and legs, her eyes open in horror.
What had she just released??
Shaking it off, she had another glance around before continuing on, easing her way up the stairs and telling herself that she had to be more careful.
At some point on a set of stairs she stopped to read what was written, an eyebrow raised. What was that even supposed to mean?

Jericho flew to the sight of the crumbling silver tower in his draconic form, before landing at its base. The shadows swirled about him as he shifted back to a more humanoid state. Looking up, he saw the tower that he was to enter. No doubt it would be incredibly perilous. But there still had to be a great deal of miasma left in its wake.
Cracking his knuckles, he prepared himself before walking on inside. As expected, the place was a mess. But he mustn't let that intimidate him.
There were a number of others around. Many from other kingdoms. For now, he ignored them.

Making his way to the stairs, Jericho looked up as his eyes burned with determination. Loosening himself up, he prepared himself, then began to start running. He had noticed the silver etchings in the ground, and though as curious as it was, he didn't spend time to examine it too much. But the words were there in the back of his mind.
The tower was crumbling and debris was falling all over the place. He did his best to avoid them.
As he made his way to through the first few floors, he wasn't entirely lucky in that aspect. A few chunks here and there struck him. They didn't hurt all too much so he pushed on. Though, one piece in particular had some miasma imbued within it. He quickly grabbed onto it.

Roch let out a hiss as he took the hit. "Yeah, an accident," he got out as he shifted his hand back to normal and pressed it to his jaw. "Sorry," he added. But it seemed sincere. "Had I known--" he was going to hit an officer, he would have wished to have been put in Vanya's group, he added silently. Instead he started digging through his pockets to pull out some gauze. "Did I cut you?" he asked, offering it to her.
She'd hit harder than him, but he was more worried about her. Without thinking he turned, spitting out blood from where his teeth had cut through flesh.

The floor here was precarious, to say the least. Kiwi stepped forward, watching the staircase creak beneath his feet. Dust filtered from overhead, and more than once, several nicely sized chunks of debris plopped onto his head, causing him to wince.
He fanned himself off, hurrying forward.
Another message on the floor. How curious. He was so caught up in this little puzzle, this mind game the Silver king seemed so fond of, that he ended up bumping into a loose portion of the wall.
Mortar crumbled, and a buzzing noise grew. Mist seeped through the wall and took form, raking at his beautiful robes. Glaring, Kiwi attempted to strike, but his hands only fell through, as the shapes reformed, angrier than before.
It seemed a retreat was in order.
He raced up the stairs, nearly tripping, and falling dizzily to his death below. All around him mist swirled, uncertain to tell where the mist creatures might be lurking. And then a shadow loomed ahead. It seemed to be drawing nearer, floating through the void with razor claws and a jagged grin. Kiwi wouldn't have it. His fan shot out, slicing through the figure-
Senga. Kiwi realized, as the mist lifted away. No, not Senga. Not one of his own. He rushed forward, bending over his friend and fellow citizen. "Senga, I am sorry ... This mist, I did not realize-"
He gingerly helped his friend to his feet, apologizing many times with deep bows before hurrying forward.

Kat's face remained passive as he offered her the gauze, shaking her head, she patted his hand lightly, letting him know to keep it for later. "Don't worry. This destructive idiot is fine." Oh yes, she had definitely heard the comments made earlier.

Sword strapped to his back and full armor equipped, Lex wasted no time in hurrying off to the Silver Kingdom. A depressed shadow fell over his features when he saw the place in person, his mind briefly pausing to ask what had happened to the denizens of the fallen Kingdom - the ones who didn't escape. Did they have a Sovngarde? A pantheon that would take them into their fold? He silently hoped so.
Entering the tower with a broad grin, he rolled his shoulders and made ready to make the ascent.

Next came the next set of stairs. Jericho continued to plow his way through. He would bust his way through this tower if he had to. More chunks of the tower were falling around. Debris, debris everywhere, and not a drop of miasma in sight.
He growled lowly as he took a few more hits, but continued to run his way through. He had to keep going.

Up and up the stairs she went, while more and more debris fell down around her head. The stinging from previous wounds hurt more with every hit she took, areas of her flesh aggravated and red against her tanned skin. She ignored it, however, knowing that with pain could often times come great reward. Indeed, as she continued her climb she was able to scrounge up some more miasma to take home.
Some more writing on the stairs had her stopping, eyes squinting in the darkness as she made out these words. They seemed to go with the ones from before, and her forehead creased as she put the two together.
"I still don't get it." She muttered, and continued on.
At the tenth floor she stopped, taking a moment to gather herself, to dust off her clothing, and to rest.

Roch pocketed the gauze. "Yeah, well, nothin' personal, lieutenant, but destructive--er, ladies first," he said, bowing slightly and motioning her forward. "Since you're in charge of this little trip," he added.
His jaw hurt, he thought as he touched it. He didn't think it was broken, but at least she hadn't electrocuted him. His arm always acted up after being electrocuted. It was a pain in the a**.

Ami stared up at the remains, awed and someone worried. If something like this could happen to an entire kingdom of people ... what might befall her comparatively tiny spaceship? After all, they weren't exactly fluorishing. Had this been the voice's fault?
She shook her head and prodded her PDA a few times. No signal. From here she couldn't see Kat, couldn't see Roch, Lumikki- she couldn't see anyone from her kingdom actually.
So where were they?

The staircase itself was quite beautiful despite the rustic debris. She could only imagine what it would have been like to see this place in its prime condition prior to the King's demise. She heard the voice of familiar kinsman not too far behind, answering. Strange, but I'm sure they hold meaning. Let's not be to long to uncover that which we may not want to uncover. Along with anything they might want to uncover once they'd reached the top.
Taking her first step up the stairs, the Queen's left heel would slide across the smoothness of the step, falling back on the gardener. WHOO! It would be a hard fall, but luckily slightly cushioned by the furry boa; slightly. Excuse me for that, farmer!
At the same time, a few falling pieces came down on her from above, resulting in a double whammy of dust and particles. Brushing off her bottom and front when she got up, Levi would find she must've accumulated something from the fall above. I suppose this was a rather handy mistake then. But let's not have another. She had to get up there eventually, and falling simply wasn't going to be tolerated. Removing her other heel, the Queen opted to walk the route barefooted.
