{{ Eli - drinks. }}
Eli glanced at the other man Tesla had pointed out. The rugged, lanky man was remarkably tall. Mentally filing him away for later, Eli scanned the crowd. He wondered if he could pick out other bottle born. Heh, bottle born, had a bit of a nice ring to it. Alliteration was a fantastic thing. "Tesla," he rolled her name across his tongue experimentally. He decided abruptly that it fit the woman in front of him. She seemed both hard and soft, like the letters. The letters weren't a multiple of three, which meant Eli would never consider it his favourite name, but it suited her. Perhaps that's all that really mattered in a name. But he still liked sets of three. "Such a beautiful name. It does seem a shame to never utter it, Tesla. It suits you lovingly."
And suddenly Eli's mind was back on the bottle race track. "Do you know why some are born with wings, some without?" Eli took a moment to catalogue the children he'd met. Lemon, who was from a bottle.... looked normal. Yet there was one with wings. How would he be able to tell which children were or which were not? Odell's smiling child, the blond child racing through the crowd, hell, even the man at the drink stall with the odd speech patterns could be one, assuming, of course, that there were not only children.
Pursing his lips a bit, he spoke again. "why hasn't anyone tried to catalogue these children? What true percentage of this population could they make up? If you just had a compendium of knowledge, think of the things you might discover!" Eli's eyes filled withthe light of eagerness and bubbled over, like fresh-poured ale. Oh, he was going to worry this mystery until it was solved. New knowledge had been dangled in front of his crooked nose and there was no way he could ignore it. "If they are not human, or believe themselves not to be human," he amended, because if they weren't human, they sure came close enough for Eli. "surely there is some true underlying reason. Nothing happens at random. This world is fueled by number and probabilities. If we gathered enough information, perhaps, perhaps.... I don't know, we could start to understand them and their place in this world a little better."
He slanted his eyes at Tesla. Her clear gaze and tap-tap-tapping on her cider only spurred him on. "A compendium... yes. What do you think, Tesla?" Eli smiled quite warmly at her. She was a lovely person, so open and free with answers. "Perhaps I could go about interviewing those born from bottles and such. I'm not sure though..." He trailed off because he really wasn't sure. A thousand thousand creaks of doubt and misgivings filled his head, but they were slowly, inexorably, being pushed out. The pursuit of knowledge doesn't wait for a man to stop doubting. He wondered briefly if unicorns could be really after all, too.

[[ Fakir - Drinks ]]
It was obvious the long haired dust was uncomfortable, soft hands stroking extremely long blue hair as equally blue eyes glanced about nervously. A faint scowl touched his fair features, hidden by his hair which had been flung this way and that from the harsh cold winds during his travelling. Amei had demanded he meet people, or at least take part of this strange event, and after bundling Fakir in many layers of clothing patted the boy on top of the head and nudged him out the carriage. Amei would return for him later, the sun kissed male had promised, meanwhile, Fakir was left to survive on his own.
He was hidden under a large coat, the hood up, having been put up to protect him from the sun and now left this way. His hands were covered with gloves, white, and his pants, also white, seemed slightly too big for the slender boy. His knee high black boots swung as he stayed in his chair, too short to touch the floor. His grey and silver jacket was arranged carefully as he made sure almost all of his skin was protected. He was no longer trying to protect himself, simply trying to nervously die within his clothes. He was uncomfortable, nervous, and tense.
His eyes flicked about, spotting many people, some of his age, and nearly shuddered further into his clothes, if he could. He liked the cabin! He liked hiding and waiting for his fisher guardian to return with trinkets and fish. He liked the cold house! Not this.... strange crowd of strange people with strange ways of speaking and strange.... everything. He wanted to be with Amei and hide. To curl his fingers around warm arms and hide into the man he considered the closest to his father than anything or anyone else. But no, Amei had left him to make "friends". He didn't know how!

(( Tesla - Drinks || Nolan -- between Ornament and Game stalls ))
The woman had the grace to flush a little at Eli's compliment of her name, really having no proper clue how to handle that. Her parents were generally unconventional with names, but luckily, the man continued on and she was able to push beyond the threat of a blush. "I imagine it has to do with their essence -- what's in the bottle," she answered, as it had never really been a thought to her. She just assumed from her own ward and her neighbor's that that was simply how they came to be: some looked normal, some didn't, but there was always something about them that was different.
"It's possible someone has and I -- I don't really have the space for visiting friends and gossip, I am certainly not the know-all on the situation." Tesla laughed a little, rolling her fur-clad shoulders in a shrug. She was a working girl. All she knew was what she overheard in passing, in the news or on the radio. People didn't seem to talk about the supernatural so openly, though.
"Interviewing them might be a danger, as, ah -- well." Her eyes drifted out over the enormous marketplace, barely able to see beyond the fountain in the middle of it. "My own, he isn't fond of people. He was seen once by humans and ah -- they didn't take kindly to him." Her voice hardened, and squeezed; there was still anger there, low and kindled in a proper lady's breast. "And the teen that helped him -- beautiful young man, that one -- he looks like a remarkable human, you'd not know he was different otherwise. I don't...think he likes humans much either." Tesla lowered her eyes for a moment, her brows furrowed slightly over eyes that were seeing a time beyond where she was that moment, lost in memory. "But it seems they don't know much better than we do why they're here. If they were just born with the knowledge, then they wouldn't need us to look out for them and see them grow."
Sighing softly, she turned her attention around the area again, briefly lighting on the form that was entirely hidden from view by clothes, finding the idea of a poor child wrapped up in winter clothing to be adorable. It was certainly nothing Nolan would ever allow for! In her sweeping glance, she heard - and then spotted the familiar shout of her next door neighbor's boy, lighting up a little and smiling to Eli. "There," she pointed across the marketplace to the blonde who was briefly visible before disappearing back into the throngs of people -- and the subsequent flick of sand that followed, "my ward is there, with the exotic looking boy. If you want to speak with him, you can certainly try."
Like blood, Nolan thought inwardly as Aric claimed some sort of memory of him. I probably taste like blood. He even went to say as much, but his face was held and Aric was moving in again --
And then the name of that drated man was roared in his face, making Nolan cringe a little, which made Aric's use of him to get to be seen much easier. The dragon huffed and remained in place while the desert child all but climbed on him to seize the 'magic plant' from above, supporting the lithe and excitable youth. "'ey, be careful!" he exclaimed with concern at his friend used his power so freely in the middle of the crowd. As Elias closed in and got a faceful of plant, the dragon snorted softly and slipped away from his best friend and his keeper for a moment, intent on finding something else in the treasure trove of stalls that wasn't just some leafy thing or gaudy baubles. He swore he had smelled flowers...

{{ Eli - Drinks }}
Her blush was charming, nothing like the practiced arts of maidens in Faleen or the calculating coyness of those in Helena. He smiled and bit his lip a little. There was something to be said for country girls. Perhaps he'd find a new love somewhere in this town after all. But ah, Tesla made him feel old. All 32 of his years pressed into him. Eli resisted the urge to touch the pads of his fingers to the crow's feet surrounding his eyes. If they could be smoothed out by touch alone, he'd long been rid of him. His attention snapped back to Tesla at the low thread of anger in her voice.
"Didn't take kindly to...?" his voice trailed off as comprehension slowly blossomed in his chest. Whether by word or action, it didn't matter, Tesla was implying someone had hurt her ward. For gods' sakes, human or not, that was a child. The boy probably had every right to dislike humans. "Oh. I'm so sorry. People..." he trailed off again. "People dislike, fear, even, the things they perceive as different. Instead of struggling to understand, they shun and run away and hide and hope everything will go back to 'normal' when they poke their heads out of their holes." Scorn tinged his voice. This... this represented everything he hated about people. Fickle, fickle beings, neighborly until you do something unexpected and then... nothing. You're only good enough to keep while you're useful.
Sighing, Eli looked up and followed Tesla's gaze. Past the clothed ball (presumably a child? Where were his parents?) to a pair of boys horsing around under the mistletoe. Eli frowned and made a note to try and check on the child if he saw him still alone. He pulled his attention upwards. Ah, mistletoe. It was nice to see some traditions carried over everywhere. Eli smiled; he wondered if Tesla knew how her face glowed when speaking about her ward. "You must be a good guardian to him." he acknowledged with a tilt of his head. Eli wondered if he should try to talk to the child. What would he say? Oh, ah hrrrm, by the way, what are you? Hardly a good opener. "If you're heading over there, I can escort you?" he held out his arm jovially.
As he walked, a booth caught his eye. Flowers, flowers in the winter. And just his luck Tesla's ward was nearby, perusing the fragrant selection. Alright, Eli, don't muck it up. "Hi," he began. good so far. "Looking for a flower for your sweetheart, hm? They tend to like the roses." He grinned affably and offered his hand to shake. "I'm Eli."

( Wren - Drink Stalls, heading towards Decorations & Gifts Stalls )
"Oh," Caelan said in amusement from somewhere behind Wren, "what a cruel thing to say."
The huntsman's face was stiff, and he stepped back from Kalden with all the grace of an affronted cat. His purpose here was solely for his stupid charge, the likes of which had not been seen in some time. Irritation welled in his gut; he didn't owe Kali anything, much less a poor attempt at keeping him from getting bulldozed by pedestrians with enough common sense to operate properly in a crowd. Insulted and mildly miffed, Wren crossed and uncrossed his arms, the fur of his jacket brushing against the light stubble of his jaw. "You have not." He responded, ice in his tone. "You are as stubborn as ever to place blame on me for an incident you should have never put yourself in the way of."
Ignoring the rest of the man's words, Wren turned fully and caught Tesla gesturing discretely at him. Had his attention been pulled fully towards either the gypsy boy, the living storm, or Kali, he would have completely missed it. Instead, the gesture seemed to lose all of its discrepancy, and Wren's shoulders dropped nearly in full exaggeration. Could he go nowhere in this crowd without being blindingly apparent to everyone else? Wren was suddenly, painfully aware of himself in a way that made his skin itch and his mouth dry. He was too tall, with too long limbs and too sharp features. He was meant for woods and countrysides and alleyways where ruggedness was not a feature that stood out in the crowd. This place of cleanliness and humanity and quaint, ordinary people was not where he was supposed to be.
His face distorted into a grimace, and pulling away from the drinks stall, the man pushed into the crowd, wondering how quickly he could find the swan, stuff him in a bag, and run back home before the sun went all the way down.
( Caelan - Drinks Stalls, heading closer to Games Stalls )
"Oh, it looks like you've offended him!" Caelan said cheerfully, smiling at Kalden with a grin that could have been nearly devious in its appearance. The guardian had been lounging against one of the stalls counters up until now, content simply to blend into the crowd around him. But if one were to pay close attention to his features, they might find themselves curious. Unlike the common milky white skin of the crowd around them, Caelan's was tan and dark, exotic in its appearance. His eyes, in contrast, were a bright sea foam blue.
Pushing away from his perch, Caelan smiled, suddenly boyish though he seemed already into his late twenties. "You should be more gentle. Even the fiercest cats don't like to have their tails pulled too much." His head craned to the other people around the Drink Stalls, watching Wren's retreating back with amusement. His tongue flicked out, wetting his lips idly. He turned back, reaching out to pat Kalden's head with a mock-condescending smile. "Don't worry. Unless there is a freak stampede of human beings tonight, I doubt anything of yours will get injured but your mind."
Turning, Caelan made no subtle show of walking after Tesla and Eli. He moved slowly, with all of the grace of an unlikely predator, intercepting her with an enigmatic smile once Eli started to speak to another boy a little ways away. "My, my, my," He said, his tone dropping a level with each word, "I wonder, whatever have you done to poor Mr. Huntsman to make him turn tail so quickly?" He gestured to the retreating hunched figure with a laugh, his fingers splayed to display rings like glittering treasure on his fingers. "I jest. I simply came over to say hello. Though I do fancy myself interested in your relationship with that man." He and I have something in common after all, Caelan almost said, but in the instance that these two were not privy to that common detail, he bit his tongue.
( Krinn - Between Decoration and Games Booths )
The Dust watched in mild scrutiny as the people around him filtered in and out of the crowd; Caelan to the girl and the man who seemed interested in pointing people out to each other, and Wren to god only knew where. Only Kalden remained, and as fascinated as he could have been with the meek boy, he decided instead that he was sick of these drinks, and his time could certainly be better spent. Threading a hand through his silky dark hair, the storm disappeared into the crowd, mingling amongst the close-pressed bodies and allowing them to draw him one way or the other until he was somewhere in between stall sections.
The scent of flowers around here was vibrant and all at once surprising to him, and the dust watched as the crowd ebbed into thin pairs of people, all on their way to one place or another, dressed in heavy clothing to ward away the winters chill. The young adult himself was not dressed so heavily, considering that his tolerance of the cold was somewhat impressive. Instead he was dressed in simple boots and close-fitted pants beneath a simple light jacket. His hair was looped into a messy pony tail, strands falling loose and hanging in his eyes. He was about to move on when he spotted a familiar movement in the corner of his eyes; a body that could not be mistaken for anyone else.
However, someone intercepted him first; a man that seemed unarguably human. The dust sighed, leaning back against a stack of crates and biding his time. He would say hello to Nolan when he was less distracted by other humans.
After all, they still had hours to go before sundown. He was in no hurry to annoy the dragon.

(( Tesla -- by the Ornament Stalls || Nolan -- Flower stall ))
"You needn't apologize," she assured the taller man in a gentle, but grateful tone. "You've displayed no such ignorance as they, and...and I am sincerely relieved for your acceptance of what is." Tesla's smile was almost timid, as if she was unsure it was a proper time to express such a gesture. It was her first time dealing with someone who was so open-minded and kind with something as extraordinary as her bottle-child. "I don't know that I'm good for him, but we're -- we're trying our best to compromise what is expected in human society and what he feels is...is best for him. But yes, I'd like to introduce you." The woman extended one hand to light upon Eli's arm, the other still holding her cider protectively against the cold. "Thank you."
It was not possible to remain as such, however, as they made their way through the crowd; people pushed and bustled and Tesla found it easier to follow Eli than to walk at his side. Before she was able to reach the stall, however - Nolan just in her sights - she was gracefully cut off by a man with a smile a mile wide. At first, she was extremely suspicious of the man -- and then extraordinarily confused. "Mr. Huntsman?" she echoed, baffled. "I don't know who you--" but as she followed his indication, she spotted the enormous man from before. The red-head blinked owlishly at the other as he talked in a way that was almost pretty and flowed in a manner that was impossible to not follow.
"I can assure you there's no relationship to speak of," she replied slowly with a puzzled smile, trying to be friendly in the face of such a strange confrontation. "I saw him earlier today and was simply indicating who the caretaker of the boy with wings was." Tesla seemed to have little filter when it came to honesty. "Seeing as his boy was in the care of mine." Her green eyes turned over his features, thoughtful and lacking scrutiny. "So then, what is your relationship to Mr. Huntsman?" And to that, she simple grinned, finding no harm in a simple jest.
The 'hi' made the dragon lift his head from perusing the stall, peering up at the extremely tall man that was addressing him. Eli was easily the tallest man Nolan had seen in his time, garnering a small silence from the otherwise mouthy individual. His blue eyes flicked briefly beyond him as he heard his woman's voice - noting Tesla near by - and seemed to relax at that, piecing together what was going on. This guy must have been the owner of a bottle-born like him--
"Eli?" he repeated, incredulous. Pointedly looking around Eli, he called out, "Do you collect people with that name now?" Somewhat satisfied by the surprised -- and then rather embarrassed look on her face, the child settled back and looked at Eli for a long moment before extending a gloved hand to take his. It was obvious he had no idea what this exchange meant, as he simply gripped two of Eli's fingers, peering at him as though he was waiting to see if it was what was expected of him.
"...he's not a -- a that thing, he's my best friend." Nolan shrugged, still holding Eli's hand as if it were perfectly normal. The heck was a 'sweetheart' anyway? It sounded like a candy. Not wanting to show his ignorance, he added, "I'm Nolan." The words still came out slow, as if he wasn't yet used to claiming his name. It wasn't until recently that he stopped introducing himself as 'she calls me Nolan' and instead owned the name as his.

( Caelan - By Ornamental Stalls )
Caelan settled back with a peculiar smile tugging at his lips. He was undeniably a strange sight next to the redhead; it was easy to discern his age, even though his smile made him look boyish instead of grown. His jacket hung against his toned form snuggly enough to show the acrobats body, but only just. His eyes raked over Tesla's with care, taking in the sight but in a way that was cusped on indelicate, but certainly not rude.
"Ah. What a shame then, that he's getting his tail ruffled by complete strangers now." Caelan said, as though Wren and him were more than strangers themselves. Sure, they had known each other when they were younger, however briefly, but to call each other anything other than very vague acquaintances would be like crying wolf. His eyes lingered on Tesla when she talked about a boy with wings. "That's a fascinating sentence. I didn't realize that winged children were such common topics and sights nowadays."
His expression turned wry, and he waved a hand gallantly, bowing from his shoulders to the lady. "I apologize. My education in manners were very short-lived." His lips parted into a wolfish smile, returning to his full height. His hair had been cropped short only a few weeks ago, going from nearly as long as Tesla's to short enough that he could slick it back with no problem. "My relationship?" He gave her such a sultry look that anyone with a decent amount shame would have flushed red. "Oh, are you sure you would like to know? I would rather not disrupt your innocence of mind with the manner in which our relationship exists." He let a moment of silence spread between them before laughing, waving away the words with a jeweled hand. "In actuality, our relationship is just barely formed. And only because of my charges peculiar nature and his." His eyes slid over Tesla with a hungry sort of curiosity. "I imagine you know the nature of which I speak, considering your own words and lack of shock within claiming to have seen and known a bow with white wings."
( Venice - between Game and Ornament Stalls )
The winged boy had taken to every manner of manipulation to escape pursuit; his sharp tongue had saved him most of all though, and when he ended up back nearer to the Drinks stalls, his steps were nearly elegant and calm, the red gem rolling between his fingers like small treasure. His wings had folded gently down so that they stayed at his back like props, motionless apart from a rustle whenever the wind kicked up. His eyes lidded slightly; his breathing had returned to normal, though the heavy pounding in his chest reminded him of the exhilaration of the chase. It was both welcome and unwelcome at the same time, making him frown as he mulled over his tiny victory. Just as quickly as the crow's game had interested him, it had fallen from his mind like a finished book with no particular keepsake qualities. Perhaps it was part of his nature; to see things as fascinating in one moment and dull in the next.
He imagined the crow the same as well, and realized that he had never even been given a name. "What a shame," he found himself murmuring as he slid the ruby between his thumb and forefinger. His intent had been to find Wren again. In the case of danger of the physical variety, the huntsman was his go-to for saving. But Wren seemed to be gone. Venice made an irritated noise in the back of his throat. What a useless peasant, and at the worst of times! Rubbing his palms together, Venice allowed them to drop back to his sides as his mind cooled entirely, the adrenaline firmly displaced from his body in return for calm collectivity and a mask of neutrality.
He spotted Nolan again first, but he was with a human, and if Wren had taught him anything, it was that humans should have been approached with caution out in the open. He wasn't, after all, the most subtle of Dusts. Eli only got a brief look of mild interest before the boy turned his head and moved closer to Tesla and her own company, if only because the woman had interacted (just slightly) with his guardian, and perhaps they knew where the troublesome man had gone. But something stopped the bird; a stall set up in the in between, with trinkets and flowers intermingling together. His eyes glimpsed Caelan and the rest, but time was neither going anywhere fast nor was it dwindling into single digits. He had enough of it to spare.
He drifted towards the stall with mild intrigue, perfectly content to be alone and be left alone.
If someone wanted to say hello, it was their move. For now.

((Samara and Odell - Drinks))
Odell smiled a bit at Magnolia as his daughter explained what stars were. He could see the teacher in her wanting to correct the child but thankfully she let her go with her own description. He watched his daughter grab hold of the other Dust and run off, he would have to remind her of proper leading holds later. A woman should always hold a man's arm, unless they were romantically envolved. Ah, did not want to think about his little girl having such feelings.
He gave her a apologetic nod then spoke, "Do not look so at me, Ms. Magnolia. No, I have not explained that the stars are large balls of gas many miles away from our planet that burn so bright the light can travel all the way here. Nor have I explained the falling chucks of space rocks that fall in our night sky when straying too close to our world."
He gave a soft smile, having proved he knew the information he now needed to explain his reasoning for telling Samara otherwise. "If you will indulge me and allow me to explain." He stood and looked up at the night sky.
"I do know the proper scientific terms for all these things, perhaps not in the detail you might but I am educated enough. And when the time is right I will also instruct Samara on these things. But for now, during this time in a child's life where I believe they must build their sense of wonder and imagination, sometimes a story is better," he looked back down at her, giving a glance to Nadyris before continuing, "Children need wonder, they need imagination, they need to learn to believe in the impossible in my mind. We, as adults, have the hardest time embracing those things if not taught at an early age. I do not know how long Samara will be so young and able to build this inner sense of amazement that seems to escape the adult world."
He said this mostly because of Samara's fast growth from a bottle into a full grown child. He didn't know when she might suddenly become teenager or if that was even how she would grow. Samara had told him of an elder Dust she had meet in the part so obviously they did age. But how fast? How long did he have his little princess small enough to fit on his lap and tlel stories.
"I was told a story of gods and goddesses as a child that spoke of how the seasons changed from cool spring, to warm summer, to windy fall, to cold winter. It facinated me and made me imagine the most amazing things. Now my parents eventually told me the truth when my mind was more able to comprehend and store academic information, and I accepted," he took a seat again to sip on his cider then looked into Magnolia's eyes, "Perhaps its the musician in me but I want Samara to have a fertile imagination and a deep sense of wonder about the world. I feel it will be just as important as the real facts."
~~~~~~~~~~
Samara was dragging her poor friend, Amadeo around the crowd of people towards the food stands. They couldn't go straight, the crowds had gotten a bit too thick around the drinks for them her to not lose the boy's hand. So she had taken a longer way around around that took her towards the giant tree in the middle of the marketplace. She stopped to glance around for the best root when a flash of white and black caught her eye.
Well perhaps it didn't catch her eyes, as there was a lot of white and black around, but the familiar tug of another Dust made her look over. She immediately recognized the white hair and wings. It was Venice! He was between the ornament and game stalls. She smiled brightly and waved before calling out, "Hi Venice!!! You want to come with me and Amadeo to get something to eat?"
( Venice - Between Ornamental and Games Stalls, closer to the tree though )
Venice raised his head at the familiar voice, turning to Samara as she approached with a brief smile. The fur of his cloak brushed against the pale skin of his cheeks, tinged red from the cold chill in the air. "Samara." He greeted quietly, bowing from the shoulders at the Autumn child. His eyes flickered to Amadeo, who seemed for all intensive purpose a rag doll in this scene. "And Amadeo. I didn't know you two knew each other." He gazed back at Samara when she invited him along to get something to eat, his wings ruffling gently at the thought.
"I don't see why not." He offered her his elbow in true gentleman fashion, glancing at Amadeo over the girls head. "I would offer you my arm as well, but you seem already entangled on your own." He flicked a wingtip in mild appreciation at the stalls all around them before acquiescing the direction of their excursion to Samara with a polite nod. "Lead the way."
Samara gave Venice a curtsy as he bowed, her heavy coat acting as her dress since the lovely fabric of the winter outfit she had choosen was hidden beneath it. Only the golden yellow hem seemed to peek out from underneath the warmer fabric. The red head giggled a bit as he addressed her but looked surprised that he knew Amadeo. She didn't think a boy with his manners and demeanor would know the fire dust. She only knew him through her Papah.
"Oh yes, Amadeo is my Papah's pupil. He's learning the violin like me," she nodded her head. The girl smiled as the other agreed to join them for refreshments, even giving a soft blush at the offer of his arm. She took it with all the grace of a proper young lady then looked at Aamdeo. She took his arm in similar fashion so she was between the two boys.
"There we go! Now off to get something delicious and sweet!" she laughed softly and lead the way towards the bustling stalls of delicious sweets. There were all sorts from hard candies to baked goods. Samara prefered the baked kind, soft and easily adorned with other confectionaries. "What do you two like the best?"
(( Eli - by the ornament stalls & Aric - towards drinks ))
Perhaps there was a faint taste of blood that was on Nolan's lips, but nothing uncomfortable to Aric -- mostly he'd just explain it as 'familiar'. But those thoughts weren't dwelt upon too much right now as the desert child was distracted with his guardian who was hit with a face-ful of plant right now.
"---Aric----there you are." He raven-haired man frowned at the sunshine blonde, sighing and regaining his composure as he took the fallen mistletoe from the floor and walking over to Aric who only now just noticed his best friend had stepped away from him, pouting for a moment before he felt Elias' arms on his shoulders.
Aric chuckled, touching his guardian's hand to take the magic plant for himself, maybe finding a possible use later. "Having fun?" he asked the man, looking around for more things of interest to him. "...Only worrying about you." Elias sighed, knowing the boy was quite equipped to fend for himself but it was hard for him not to feel concerned when the blonde was not in his sight.
"Well you see me now, isn't that good?" The blonde was looking around, the sensation of the dusts in the air made his attention more spread out and not exactly wanting to stay in one place like Elias would have liked. "I--- I think I'll go there!" he exclaimed before he slipped back into the crowd, leaving a surprised Elias alone again along the ornament stalls, shaking his head.
It wasn't long till Aric found Fakir, the pull of the dusts around directing his feet, easily maneuvering into the groups of people being lithe and quick on his feet. The outfit was what pulled his attention at first, but then for a moment his expression brightened when he had a clue of what this hooded boy was. But why was he all alone?
He approached him slowly but then his face was close to the other's, with curious bright blue eyes. "Hello," he started, trying to look under the hood. "What are you doing?" Aric was a little confused, noting the other's body movements, unsure and uncomfortable.
[[ Fakir - Drinks ]]
Fakir did not expect someone to approach him, sharp eyes glancing up from under his hood to spot Aric, a blonde with shockingly bright blue eyes that were trying to invade the privacy of his hood. Now, the reaction Aric was about to receive was probably not the most polite, or normal, but one must remember this was Fakir's first attempt at being in the world. An attempt he actually had no say in. So, with a startled squeak that turned into a growl, the boy nearly fell from his seat, startled at how close Aric was. Firmly, a gloved hand rose to yank his hood down.
"N-nothing." He stammered, voice childish and perhaps on the verge of a pout if it didn't sound so nervous. "Just waiting." Waiting for Amei. Waiting to go home. 'See. I can't even have a conversation with people. Why would you leave me by myself?' He wondered to himself, blue/grey eyes peering out from under his hood to view the other boy curiously. The second his eyes met brighter blue he stiffened and ducked back under his hood, hands slipping into their sleeves and joining as he pressed the sleeves together.
The boy was nervous. Grumpy would be a word associated with him when he was older. But now? Now he was a child, nervous and unsure of the world around and this strange boy speaking to him. A boy who felt similar to him, but he wasn't one to even attempt to ask if the boy was a dust. He had never met another like him, but he knew there were others. Still, how could it be this easy to find another....?
Still, another part of him was begging him to try and be less... awkward. Here was something that resembled Amei slightly, someone who looked kissed by the sun just like his favorite person. Maybe he was warm and kind, too? Maybe he'd be a friend? Even so, the cold mist dust was too nervous to even figure out how one went about conversing with anyone other than Amei, who was so stupidly friendly it was hard not to find yourself dragged into a conversation. So he just sat there, awkwardly hiding under his hood from the boy, Aric, as if that would protect him.
{{ Eli - Flower Stall thinger }}
Eli frowned briefly at Nolan's 'collecting' comment. Some sort fo inside joke, he supposed. He chuckled deeply. If he was being collected, he could a lost worse than being collected by Tesla. Studying, he smiled again. The kdi looked like he'd be quite mouthy when provoked. Eli was honestly surprised by his willingness to chat a bit. He was oh so tempted to pounce down and start peppering Nolan with question after question, but that might scare him away.
Nolan's unassuming grip was charming in its awkwardness. Using his other hand, Eli pried out of the two-fingered grip and pressed his and boy's hands together, palm-to-palm. He interlaced the thumbs together before gently shaking hands. "A handshake is an acquired taste, but useful for most young gentlemen, Nolan." His smile made the corners of his already hawkish eyes crinkle more. Eli rubbed one finger over a bushy brow before continuing.
"As for the flowers... a poinsettia means divine, pure love and the red and white of a celebration carnation can symbolize an innocent admiration." Eli twirled a carnation as he spoke, the red and white blurring into a lovely pink. A pink carnation: I'll never forget you. "It's up to you which fits best for your friend. Each flowers means something different; they have a whole language of their own." Eli neglected to mention that his knowledge of flowers came solely from buying them for his girlfriends. The shopkeepers in Helena had been invaluable for that.
Abruptly, Eli realized Tesla was no longer behind him. Turning slightly, he saw her cornered by some flashy young thing. He quirked one bushy brow at Nolan. "Hmmm, do you think we should go rescue her?"
{Niki - Heading toward food stalls; Oisin - being dragged along... literally}
They were late. Nikiana blamed Oisin for that fact. The poor boy had been practically terrified of every single thing on their way from their small cottage to the city of Aimes for the Festival. First there had been the fact that Niki's bike would not hold Oisin and herself so they'd been forced to walk. And, while Niki had been hopeful of catching a ride, Oisin had been terrified of all the other people on the roads and so they had indeed had to walk the whole way.
And then there had been the city itself. So many people and Niki had practically had to drag the poor stag boy along. Okay, she literally had had to drag him along. Oisin had not been thrilled about this whole Festival idea, but Niki was convinced that he needed to get out. And this had made that quite clear. Oisin really needed to get out more.
But they finally made it to the Festival and that had resulted in another delay as Niki tried to get Oisin to even go inside the Festival. Finally, she just grabbed his arm and started dragging him along to the food stalls. They'd been walking a lot and she was hungry and he probably was too. So they were going to find something to eat. Now!
(( Aric - Drinks ))
The sound that he heard from the child wasn't expected in the least, the boy tilting his head more so in confusion. "Ah did I scare you? I didn't mean to!" he apologized but still kept his close distance to the boy even when he yanked his hood down to his face, unfazed.
"Waiting for who?" he looked around, a finger to his bottom lip-- there were too many people around, perhaps this long haired boy was lost? He continued to peek under the hood though, finding his face pleasant to the eyes. Pretty, very far off from what he was used to. Even if people would have mistaken Fakir as a girl, he didn't really care to distinguish gender in his head. He continuously became more and more sure that this person was like him-- feeling that strange sensation in his body.
Aric could not understand why the boy was so nervous? He didn't think he was scary? In fact he had a bright smile on his face! Although he didn't want to scare Fakir, he wanted to know more about him. "I'm Aric!" he finally said, moving back and putting his hands momentarily putting his hands politely on his back, showing the boy that he meant no harm. "What's your name? -Do you wanna explore together?" it was quick of him to skip 'polite exchanges' and just say what he really wanted to do. And he always wanted company.
