Picking up a pretty silver material and a shimmery thread she had hoped that the crafters would tell her that her choices were good. As she watched their reaction she smiled happily. She had chosen well.
Akhem walked over to another booth that was selling scarves. They were colorful little things, and the range of color was astounding. He did need a scarf for the winter... and he hated when his neck was cold. Severely slowed his reaction time too. He decided to try and get a custom one made. He set down 5 seeds, eager to try and match some strings to get a nice custom scarf.
He decided to try one last time, one last push. Either way, he was getting a scarf, he needed one. Customizing would be that much more but....he put down 5 seeds.
Oh well. Didn't match. He decided to buy one. He looked at all the tohers and then decided on the red and black scarf, it looked like his beloved blood hex markings.
With Spirit Week wrapping up, Vanya decided to use the last of her seeds on the craft booths; something from everyone to remember her trip by. She had just left the Savage Garden booth and, with her fresh bouquet in hand, had made her way to a booth selling scarves. The pre-made ones were lovely; but none of them matched her style so she decided to try for a custom one.
Picking some fabrics, she presented them to the booth owners to see if they were worthy.

Once again her combination was deemed unworthy and Vanya frowned, letting out a sigh of frustration. Once more and then she was giving up and just buying a premade.

Vanya slouched, completely defeated and feeling a little run down. She had thought her fabric choices were perfect but evidently she had peculiar tastes. Or the pair running the booth did. Who knew.
"I'll just take a pre-made, thanks. The blue stripey one."

See now, Than was SURE he would be good at this. Scrunching his nose, he examined the threads before him, deciding that he would attempt a custom scarf, instead of just picking one of the ones that hung there, above him. Eyeing his silver seeds, he knew that he had juuuust enough to try three times, however, he would be optimistic, and see just what the booth proprietors thought of his handiwork! Offering up his combination, the pup was hopeful, tail-wagging as he waited for their decision.

The answer to that last combination had been a clear no. Scrunching up his nose, Than tried again, good eye narrowing as he played with the threads, twining them around one another thoughtfully as he sought for the perfect combination. Maybe it had been that shade of purple in the last one....

Oh, this booth was selling scarves?? ... They were too thick and stuffy for Famine, but he did like their colors. Perhaps he could find one that suited him well?? ... He studied the fabrics and picked out a thread.

All right, this was just downright frustrating. Perhaps what his sire had said was true and his color comprehension was off. Than pursed his lips thoughtfully, ears flattening somewhat as he ditched his last attempt completely and started out in a new direction. He just wanted something that matched and the scarves were so very pretty!

All were wrong. Kiwi pursed his lip. This was just as hard as when he had helped Ying decide on a flower. It may take some time. He picked another thread.
Whelp. This was the last attempt, Than deflated a bit as he once more sought amongst the threads for that perfect combination. He could have gone with a pre-made scarf, at the beginning of all of this, but none of them had particularly called to the Fae-Hound. "C'moooooooon...Than just wants a scarflike..." He murmured to himself, carefully moving fabric aside so that he could suss out which combinations were incorrect.
