That's what it was, he just wasn't trying hard enough. He had to push harder, he looked around at everyone and he was moving forward passing some of them. He was trying to make sure he was focused, the half way mark was coming up and he was going to have to turn around to run back. Moving so fast this was difficult but he had to keep his balance and focus on running as he could without falling.

 A sudden burst of speed hit him and he focused hard upon reaching crow without any missteps. 3/10

Hydrangea narrowly missed stumbling over a root, but it did cause him to slow down a bit. 4/10

However, having to quickly jerk to miss the root took the wind out of his sails. Hyd huffed and puffed as he reached Crow and turned around for the final stretch back. 5/10

Hyd flopped over that finish line, but it would seem his first race wasn't so much of a great one.

He smiled at himself knowing that he was able to make that turn without falling. He was still moving pretty fast too. He just had to finish the turn now, come out of it with as much speed as he could and keep going. Only the second half of the race left. He was going as fast as his legs would push. He was concentrating on his footing and trying to push his legs hard. He wanted to push himself hard so that he could win this without any regrets.

Falcon could feel it, coming out of that turn he was moving at top speed. His feet were hitting perfectly and he was flying down the race. He just needed to keep it up. He was passing a lot of rabbits now, he kept an eye on anyone that was close to him. Though he made sure to stay focused on how his paws were landing and pushing his legs as hard as they could go.

Falcon was moving very fast, he had slowed down some but that was to be expected. You can't always run at your top speed, maybe looking at the other rabbits to see how they were doing had slowed him down. He just needed to worry about himself. He kept concentrating on the placement of his feet and pushing his legs. That was what was going to win this race for him.

Falcon knew this was the right way to go, stay concentrated on your own body and speed. He kept pushing as hard as he could go. He was getting so close. He was passing rabbits but he needed to pick the correct path and make sure his feet were hitting correctly. He would do this and hopefully at the end be the best.
