Briella watched as Dya put down the cup, making sure that it didn't break. "Pacju doesn't like anyone." she said with a laugh. No matter what she tried she was pretty sure that Pacju hated her, and if it wasn't for Maya she was pretty sure the radaku would eat her. "I hope that that isn't how all of them all. Though I don't remember meeting any others." she thought on it, but she couldn't think of any time she met one other then a few wild ones.

Briella nodded. Yes A kinfa would be a better companion for her sister. "They've been gone for a while. I wonder if they are even coming back..." she mused out loud.

The Radaku hesitated for another moment. It was very hungry, but it was now three against one. The weak one was protected by the stronger ones, and they did not seem scared of it. It lifted a paw, still hesitant. It had thought this was easy prey, soft and unarmored.
Maybe if it just rushed forward and grabbed the soft squishy one and then kept running... But it knew sharpness, and the blue one had a sharp thing. The radaku didn't like sharp things. Teeth that weren't it's own hurt. The blue one was also roaring. The Radaku thought that it might have to leave. Self preservation told it to leave, and find something weaker. It huffed.
And turned and ran.

Biroki didn't realize he had been holding his breath until he exhaled in a sigh of relief. He had been too busy hearing the rapidfire beat of his own heart and the assessing glow of those predatory eyes locked on him. He looked up at the two women who had protected him.
They were so brave and strong and tough. He wished he was more like them. And not at all like him.

"I-I-I..." he did a nervous glance over himself, "I think I'm okay..." he swallowed the remnants of the fear and panic, "I-I... Uh... D-dropped the kettle... Over there..." he struggled to get up but slipped in the mud, feeling like the most miserable man alive. Although he was very glad to be alive.
"If... If you..." he started, shuddering, "... Thank you."

"They are fierce pets. I should think that very few would be around." Dyakida nodded thoughtfully. "Though, I do wish Pacju in particular was friendlier. WE DO have to live with him, after all."
She hadn't really encountered many Radaku, not while sighted and, perhaps fortunately, not while blind. She woudl have been hunted, easy prey. Or maybe not as easy as they would think- she was Alkidike, a warrior still. And she had her sisters.

"I should hope that they come back" she said amused, though she was slightly worried, "I was looking forward to that shifter's new brew." she felt for a long stick and poked at the fire a few times, "Have you ever had tea quite so good?" the answer- no. When Dyakida tried to steep it, she either got her fingers burned, oversteeped the tea, or both. When Niabet tried it, Dyakida could swear that her bitterness leached into the tea.
"I don't remember, Brie, but did you ever try to make tea? I can't remember how it turned out."
She decided to be unconcerned about the earthlings in the jungle.

Aminah sighed in relief and relaxed her stance as the radaku took off, hopefully going to find a different meal for today. For a second she was really worried that it would keep coming at them.

Aminah let Zuri be the one to help Biroki up as she went to fetch the kettle in the general direction that Biroki had noted. She was just happy that everyone had made it out ok. She brushed the dirt off of the kettle and brought it back to Biroki.

"Well, I'm glad you're ok, Biroki. I was really worried for a second there." She smiled at the both of them. "Should I fill the kettle with more water, or should we call it quits for today?" The excitement had kind of put Aminah off of tea, though the Alkidike women might be a bit upset since they had been waiting for so long. She looked to the both of them for answer.

When the Radaku ran off Zuri smiled and turned over towards where Biroki was and helped him up. She was happy that Aminah hadn't done it, she wouldn't have been happy about that. When Aminah asked if they should fill the kettle or leave she looked at Biroki for a second. "I think that we should call it quits. We should go tell the others about what happened though, they could be worried, we have been gone for a while now." she said looking back to where they had come. "But it is up to you Biroki."

She was so worried about everything and personally her heart hadn't stopped pounding. She was ready to go home and rest, let her heart stop this crazy beat that she was sure was going to kill her if it didn't slow down.

Briella nodded. Yes it would be a lot nicer if Pacju was more found of them, but then again most likely Maya liked it that way. After all that meant he would be more protective of Maya.

Briella nodded. "I've never tried to make tea, though this is making me wish too. After tasting Niebet's that one time I hadn't wanted to try it." she said with a laugh. "Although if they don't come back soon I think we should go. It is getting late, and we should start heading home." It was getting late, even though she knew Dyakida couldn't see it she could. It was easier for the two of them to get back when there was at least a little light.

Was it getting late? Dyakida hadn't noticed. It was difficult for her to tell time.
But the sounds of Jahuar were the right sort of sounds for 'late'.
Oh. Well then.
"Then perhaps we should get a head start and leave while they are occupied? Kishku said she was making something tonight, yes?" Dyakida didn't want to miss that.
Was it rude to walk out on the earthlings? Sure. But they were Alkidikes, and even Dyakida could admit that they could afford to be a bit haughty.
She hesitated, but only for a moment.
"Lets go?" she said to Briella, gathering her things- her bag and her other belongings. The cups she and Briella had were theirs, and she shook them out to remove any extra moisture. They'd get a proper washing at home.
She stood up to stretch. Goodness, had they really been there that long?
"I do not want to miss Kishku cooking. It happens so rarely."

"Th-Thank you..."
Biroki would have honestly liked some of his soothing, refreshing tea at that moment. His heart was still racing along and he could feel the blood pulsing against his skull, his ribs. He had been close. Too close to death for his liking.
Yes. Tea. But maybe with fewer people around, in private, in safety.
"Y-yes, Maybe..." he said, holding out his hands for the kettle. Plus, he was a bit of a pushover at times, and this was one such time. If these two women said that it was time to go, he had to agree. It was time to pack up and go.
He got up with Zuri's help, and started hesitantly walking back. Every noise and shadow seemed to jump at him- he was a bit twitchy. So, he tried to stay back, with his two protectors.
"I... we'll go back, pack up, and go h-home..." he looked at Aminah "Will you need... I mean..." of course she would need him to help her find her way back to the Tale! She was a big, strong mage! "I... ah... Nevermind." he said, shrinking away a little. How presumptuous of him.

Aminah was glad to hear that the others agreed that it was time to go. It was getting late, and she didn't want to have to travel back in complete darkness. Though she had heard that the plant life glows in Jauhar at night; that might be pretty to see.

"Alright, I didn't leave anything there, but I'll come along to help clean up if you'd like." Biroki started to say something, but decided against it, or at least that's what Aminah could guess. She wondered what it could have been, this shifter was so strange sometimes. He was almost too timid. She wondered how he even survived out here in Jauhar.

Aminah put her staff back where it belonged and let the others lead the way back.

Zuri smiled as they walked, and it seemed that they made it to their little camp just in time to see the two Alkidikes getting ready to leave. "I see we have the same thoughts, we are also about to head home. It was nice meting you." Zuri said with a smile towards the two women. New friends were made that day, and she hoped that in the future that they would meet again.

Zuri packed up her stuff and turned to Biroki and Aminah. "Aminah do you want Biroki and I to walk you back home? Or are you good getting there yourself." she offered. She would be walking back with Biroki, just to make sure he was safe and because they lived in the same village. But it was always nice to offer Aminah the same protection if she wanted it. Then again, Zuri had no doubt in her mind that the other girl couldn't take care of herself.

Briella nodded and started to help Dyakida pack up. She smiled at the earthlings, surprised to see all three of them a live. From the way the male was screaming she thought he had been at least injured, but he looked fine. Just a little scared, but that seemed to be his emotion all the time.

"Yes it was nice meeting you three, until next time." she said with a nod of her head before taking Dyakida's hand and heading towards their home.

"What is she making for dinner? You know last time..." and with that the two Alkidikes were out of earshot of the earthlings and on their way to a tasty treat.

Oh! They had returned! Dyakida smiled politely. It seemed nobody was offended that they were leaving. To be honest, she hadn't been entirely comfortable around the earthlings, female and, in Biroki's case, otherwise. Their voices may not be so different, but there had been too many of them and too many differences in experiences and, well, it was a bit overwhelming. Thank Aisha that Briella was there.
"Yes. Until next time."
It wasn't that she hadn't liked the Earthlings. She hadn't disliked them either. She wouldn't mind meeting one again. Maybe two.
No. Just one at a time for a while now, thank you. One at a time was quite enough. They were just so... so different. Halfbreed Alkidikes were still alkidike, but these were...
Well anyway. It was time to go, and Briella was leading which meant that she wouldn't be wandering in the jungle randomly at night. Which was a terrible idea.
"I don't know what she's making, but I hope it's not roast bug again..." she started as she walked out of earshot of the Earthlings as well.
All in all, it had been, at least, an interesting event. With good tea.

... and wonder of wonderfulness, Zuri asked the very question that hadn't managed to make it past his lips.
"Yes... do you... would you want us to go with you... to the edge?" he added. It was easier now Zuri had said it. He touched her fingers lightly and gratefully.
"I... I mean, it gets dark at night, and all the landmarks sort of change..." things did seem different in the day as opposed to the night. The glow of the forest made some paths seem to open that were not there before, and the pitch blackness between the lights made other paths seem closed and full of watching, hungry eyes. Fortunately, he knew multiple ways home, and a few safe... ish... ways to the forest's edge.
"If you... I mean... You could come to the village and stay for the night if... uh... you needed to." Reshel wouldn't mind, he didn't think so anyway.

Ah! It seemed that the Alkidikes were leaving.
"G-goodbye for now... uh... May you have safe travels under leaf and star..." he didn't know why he said that, but it felt right. And when the words felt right, he just had to say them.
He was sad to see them go, but he also felt about five times less terrified when they were finally gone. They had been big and scary and Alkidikes.

"Yes... We... We should head back... Reshel will be worried..." He looked at Aminah, though he inched a bit closer to Zuri as he did so. He was still feeling a bit nervous talking to her, big surprise, and he liked being close to someone he was actually comfortable around. For reassurance.
"A... Are you coming?" he asked, smiling as he packed up his things and put out the fire.

Aminah waved goodbye to the Alkidike women as they disappeared into the forest. "I hope we meet again!" She called out to them. It was nice to meet Alkidike that were what Aminah considered normal for a change. Though she didn't really get to know much about Briella or Dyakida, they were both incredibly interesting and she couldn't help but continue to wonder at Dyakida's history. Maybe someday she'd find out, for now it was time to go home and rise early to tend her garden.

She was quite surprised that Biroki and Zuri had both offered not only to accompany her back but for her to stay in Jauhar is she felt more comfortable traveling in the day.

"Oh! It's alright. I can find my way back, though maybe some day I'll see what a shifter village looks like. It was good meeting you both and I appreciate the offer!" She squeaked towards the end. She was happy to have met everyone, but she didn't want to inconvenience anyone.

She pulled her things closer to her and returned into the forest the way she had come.

"Oh."
Biroki wasn't sure if he was dissappointed or relieved that Aminah was declining his offer.
"W... well, I bet it's n-nothing special." he said quickly, He frowned- was she sure she knew her way back?

By the time he had gotten up the courage to ask, she was long gone.
Well, she was a mage. She knew what she was doing... right? She'd be okay.
he looked nervously at the path he would have to take.
"I guess we... we go now..." he said, flashing Zuri a smile.
