Xiu struggled to keep a hold on the mini as she approached the cages. Goodness--it just so happened that the most feisty one of the three had to escape, huh?
"H-hang on. You have to go back in, okay?"
She might have shot Sparrow a desperate look, but she didn't openly voice a request for help. NOPE, SHE COULD DO THIS.

Yes.
Because there's no other way to justify why she would be trying to stuff the hatchling into a cage already occupied by another mini.

OH MY GOD.
After a great deal of straining and struggling, Xiu finally managed to get the mini back into it's cage, quickly shutting the cage door after it and sliding the latch closed.

On the bright side, at least Xiu didn't look cold anymore? Though she did look a little tired now, lifting a hand so that she could loosen her hair from her now slightly disheveled bun so that she could redo it. "Phew. Do that do that a lot?" She offered Sparrow a smile, but cast the three minis--as lovely and adorable they were--a slightly wary glance.
If any others got free while she was here...
"But yes, anyways, if I may grab a pin...? I'll definitely support you for the election this year!"

"Xiu!" Mort hailed the baku with a small wave. Balthazar had escaped again? Yikes . . . well at least he wasn't the only one who had had issues getting that sucker back in. "Nice wrangling. Think really likes escaping, that one. Might bump looking into locks to earlier time . . ."
His head still hurt from the mighty peck, yes.
"Also, ah, c-congrats on Battle've Bands win!" he added. "Would've said so then, but was, er . . . preoccupied." By flying drum sets and mics to his head.

Mort! The baku smiled at the boil in greeting, promptly reaching out to give him a hug when he was close enough. "Hi, it's good to see you! Are you having fun--eh?" She froze, her eyes growing wide when the zomboil suddenly said that that particular hatchling must enjoy escaping. "Ah--wait, he's...he's done it before?"
...How long until he escapes from the cage again, then? W-what about the other birds?!
The congratulations earned a slightly embarrassed smile, and she lifted a hand to rub the back of her neck. "T-thank you. Oh! Though...you weren't badly hurt or anything, were you? Everyone seemed generally okay at the end, but..." Xiu wilted slightly at the thought, her ears and tail suddenly drooping. She had tossed quite a few drums in the Rocking Dead's way, after all.

He was back at Sparrow's booth to check on Chipper and make she he was still in his cage. When he got there Chipper was happily enjoying the hat he gave him the other day; and the owl next to him was hooting away happy. But it seamed Sparrow was missing ANOTHER bird? Sheesh they really needed to consider investing in new locks.
He looked around but he couldn't see the missing bird any place.

The sky was still empty and there was no sign of a missing bird anyplace. He didn't even much remember what bird was in that cage from yesterday. He had been too focused on Chipper. He looked at the name under the cage. Bathazar, he could only assume it was the bigger of the birds with a name like that.

Well he certainly wasn't having any luck finding the bird. Chipper was at least easy and he could spot that one in the sky. This one seamed to be hiding someplace really good. He was tempted to take his student pin off and track the bird by his canine scent, but he would give it a few moments before he reached such desperation.

Yea that was the end of that. He took off his pin and transformed into his canine form. Then he put the pin in a special holder he had attached to his collar as a human for these reasons. He lifted up off the ground as a ghost and flew towards the sky. He was going to find this bird if it liked it or not.

Kemnebi walked up to a booth that looked very different than the other booths she had visited today. 'Vote for Sparrow'? Well, the pins were cute. "Hey, may I have one of your pins?" She asked, looking up just in time for one of the birds to escape its cage.
"Ah, your bird is...." She trailed off as the bird swooped passed her. Reaching out, she tried to grab it on its way passed. Snagging onto the long tail feathers, Nebi quickly adjusted her hold so that she didn't hurt the minipet. Well, that wasn't too hard. Now to get the bird back in its cage.

He didn't even notice that the bird was on the ground and had been caught by somebody else. He was too busy looking for anything flying that looked like it would belong to the name Bathazar. Seeing the sky was virtually empty he began to glide around the booths. Still no bird.
