I didn't really see the cards as denoting hierarchy so much as they would personality. Like how your butler has a split personality, so you might have the Deuce (2) of Hearts/Spades/whatever you want. Keaton is Devious so she could be a Knave/Jack. The different suits might speak to what kind of creeper you are too. Like Spades if you're a sadist, Clubs if you're a masochist, Hearts if you prefer typical seduction, or whatever. These are just suggestions, bare in mind. ^^

Hmm, I'm not really sure there can be "rank" in a butler cafe now that I think about it. xD Aside from maybe a leader or boss they seem like they'd be on equal terms. 3nodding But, yeah, we don't have to go with the cards theme really anyway. We could just go with the whole changing themes based on events thing and have our one unifying them be that we all represent some "dark desire." ... I think we need a list of what actually constitutes a dark desire. I'm kinda stumped to be honest. sweatdrop
Actually there are ranks. ^^; I remember there was something called head butler, but I'm not sure if there are any other ranks out there. ^^;; Well, we could use them if the others want it. If we do decide to do it however, it should have a limited amount of meanings cards used. I once saw this guild that used "charms" to describe their characters and I had to scroll up a lot of times just to see what the "charms" meant. DX And I believe there was more than 15 charms avaliable to describe your character with. o . o Ah, yeah. We do need a list ^^;;

If the symbols are too involved or too complicated, it would be a pain for clients to keep track of what's what. >_<;; Maybe something familiar like the Chinese or Western zodiac would work...?

It's most obvious when you hear lines like, "It's not like I'm putting on this frilly dress for you!" "It's not like I saved your brother for you!" "D-don't think I'm doing this for you!" You get the pic cat_xd Kyouya is kind of a mild tsundere. Another example is Fujimoto of Kobato, and I think Touya from Cardaptor Sakura counts too.

I'm finding it hard to think of a list of "dark desires" myself, it's such a broad concept for me (or maybe I'm just overthinking things ._.). I was avoiding a list of "types" because I didnt want it to look too much like an Ouran spin-off (prince type, cool type, wild type, devil type, shota type...) which is why I said "theme" instead. So not so much "types" as concepts/themes.
Amu's suggestion/example reminds me of the four types of love: storge (affection), philia (friendship), eros (passion/romance), and agape (charity). In his book, The Four Loves, C.S. Lewis states that just as the once-beautiful Lucifer was perverted and fell into becoming the infamous Satan, so too can love be corrupted. That fits very well with our Creeper-theme, I think.
Though eros is different from venus (sexual attraction--Amu can call dibs on venus), that still only makes five. We need seven concepts. Now if we include love of self--I dunno the Greek for that, maybe egophilia?--that'd make six.
Whatcha think?
EDIT: There's Platonic love, which in a nutshell is kinda like philia but the difference is that it gives spiritual inspiration. Kinda like being super close friends with someone you idolize and who inspires you to be a better person.

Okay! having fellow maids will be cool too! Besides, a harem really isn't my style...I prefer just having a bunch of guy friends....not a ton of guys just falling all over me anywa-OH IDEA. All the butlers are basically immune to my charms, because they work with me! And I'd still try to use it anyway...that seems like a cool idea....
Yeah....avoiding types would be a good idea....but rather hard to do...we can still try....maybe it's not a type, but more of a personality. A type means you have to always do everything in that type's style, but a personality has wiggle room for more shade and facets to it.

That's true. ^^ That could work too~ Or maybe we could list the description with the symbol as well . . . There are some people that don't know Chinese and Western Zodiacs, so there might be some puzzled faces and a major search of * insert Zodiac here *. Like I said before, perhaps we should list out a description with the symbol.~
