"Well that's comforting..." She grumbled sarcastically before glancing at the others, taking note of what was being said. Deryk mentioned the candy, and Amrita wrinkled up what was left of her nose at the offer. "--I'll pass, thanks." She grumbled, trying to decide if she was seriously offended or not. Seriously - fear candies? "I wouldn't even feed those to my fish." Her attention moved to Israfel as he tasted what he was given. She had no interest in trying one past looking at it from a distance, and she shook her head.

"No. I never wanted to be here, either." She wanted to ask again why they were here, but if Deryk didn't know, what was the likelyhood of the others knowing? Her grip on her knees loosened, sitting a little more relaxed, but barely. As she relaxed she looked around, realizing that something unusual was happening. They were at the Hunter's mercy, but...

"Why are they being nice to us?" Deryk had been nice to her from the start, but the rest of them? She didn't know them really, but this was the first group of Hunters that hadn't outright tried to kill them. Perhaps it was that they were communicating by video, it made them feel safer?

"Yeah. Didn't think you'd wa--" he started to say but stared as the Siren in the room took it and actually ate some. The Hunter just sort of slowly blinked at that. Shaking his head again, he looked back at Amrita, frowning at her answer. So that scratched that idea. And as he suspected, she really didn't want to be here in the first place. That definitely did not spell out willing candidate to him.

But...

What would be done with the ones that didn't make the cut?

"Well. Not everyone here is super mean," he said. This was one question he knew the real answer to but he couldn't actually give it. Still, he didn't want to lie, so he was trying to come up with other side reasons.

"Besides. Doesn't hurt to get to know you guys a little more. Right? Um.. though... doesn't really explain.. the room and all... Precaution? Maybe?" he blinked. He actually wasn't too certain here. The last time they had captives, the hunters were allowed in the room with them. And they were the Horseman Heirs of all people! They were stronger than the students right? This sort of confused him.

The trainee soon paused and looked towards H a little nervously as he brought up other food options.

"...We can? Can.. .they eat human food?" he asked before turning to Amrita, "..Can you eat human food?"

He was fine with making a run to the cafeteria.

Otto had no business being here. he didn't know how to play nice to these creatures, but he really needed to be in on what was being said. He took the clipboard, coupled with the paper he had gotten from Caelius, and hung behind the group of hunters.

He preferred to keep out of sight.

You know.. in case s**t went south.

The doctor smiled at Deryk and made a note to make sure the boy stayed in the Death division.

"I don't think--" Syd started out hesitantly, "that human food is the way to go. Remember, Isra said FEAR is FEAR. The last I heard, our food wasn't made of FEAR. Is there someone that can go and get food from their world for us?" she asked.

"No offense, but aside from you I've only met complete assholes." Amrita did mean offense though, and didn't feel bad for pointing it out. "But...I guess it's never too late to try..." She was still suspicious, but...this was Deryk talking to her. The Deryk that openly admitted to her that he disagreed with the way things were run. Did this mean he made some break throughs on his end?

"...I don't know." She admitted in regards to the human food, but she did stare at him with hesitations. "But I'm not hungry. Or thirsty." A plus side of being undead, really. She didn't need to eat; the downside, they couldn't sway her with the promise of a meal. The mere offer though, that was rather nice. "...But thanks, I guess."

She overheard the talk of minipets and live food, and the look she gave the screen - Deryk in particular - was nothing short of horrified.

As he got close, Rin got a better look. She had a feeling... he wasn't human, but he didn't look that different from his human form. Even the voice... she set her jaw grimly. Can't let him know you recognise him.

She shifted the clipboard in her arms and looked down at it to write something before leaning into the mic again, giving him a better look at her unfortunately to do so, "And what did you say your name was?"

Sadly she'd missed most of the introductions and though she knew his name, she had to confirm for... research purposes. Right.
