Not sure if this was ever asked before, but can a henshin pen be broken (like snapped in half) and if so can it be fixed or replaced? Just a curious thought that passed through my head when righting a solo.
Iris: If a pen breaks a senshi cannot power up! In general they are not easily fixed but that doesn't mean it's impossible if you came to us with a good enough plot! But in general, protect your pens, if you lose or break them you are out of luck!

I actually had a question about Knight naming conventions. I noticed that a custom for a Numenor Page was recently won and wanted to know if fictional locations are now allowed for active, living Knights. I know for Negas who were Knights in a past life it is allowed, but wasn't sure about present day. Thanks!
Fictional names are not allowed for official knights. The quest will be asked to change the name to something that fits in with shop guidelines during the critting process. (Though in this case it looks like the player already changed it)

Given the way things have been worded I'm assuming this is the case, but just for clarification: are personalized items exempt from the 1,000-year rule? For example, could Sailor Glauke use a magical electric shaver which allows him to transform into a disguise (much like Sailor Moon did throughout season one of the anime)?
Iris: Yes, personalized items do not have to abide by the 1000 year rule and can be a modern object. In most cases your character getting a personalized item in the present won't reflect them having one in the past (though with permission and old enough objects we may allow your past life to have had it too with proper plotting) so there is no time line restriction.

Can Generals Promote Lieutenants to captains, or is that something only a General-king can do?
Iris: Only General Kings and Queens can safely promote agents through the ranks. Attempts by lower level characters will often end in mishaps such as youmafication.

Because I have a terrible memory, I would like to ask for clarification on what devoid of life means when it comes to homeworlds. I feel as though, at one point, it was stated that the only "living" things that could be on a planet were plants, vegetation.
Is that true or is there nothing left but old building structures and perhaps skeletons and fossils?
Iris: Over time we've given a little leeway here and there.
All homeworlds should have been pretty well destroyed/abandoned/died out hundreds of years ago, so the amount of regrowth that has occurred depends a little on the homeworld. For some it may be nothing but barren ruins and skeletons. However others might have some sorts of vegetation, as plants are the first things to reroot and take over abandoned sites. These plants should usually be pretty wild however and nothing compared to what would have been there in the past. Whether there is any life at all the worlds should look like destroyed remnants of what used to be.
If you have ideas for something bigger/something you're not sure about feel free to pm the mule and you may be able to get GM approval with good enough reasoning behind it.

Would Temporary hair dye be removed when a Nega ( Or really any powered faction character ) powers up and powers down?
I have a character quest for a nega, who in civilian form likes to dye parts of her hair random colors depending on her mood ( The "mohawk" strip right down the center of her bob ) usually changing every couple of weeks are so. Would it just be gone, when she powers down, back to the super pale blonde? Or would the temp dye dissapear while powered, and reappear when she goes back to civilian, as part of the glamor type of thing?
Iris: No the dye shouldn't disappear.
For the most part hair colors do not change (styles don't even change that often, though it does happen in a few cases then color) when a person powers up. So changes to the a character's hairstyle would actually be reflected in the powered form, which is why hairstyle changes is one of the more frequent/acceptable requests for alternate powered art.
So when she powered up with dye in her hair you could state that the color appears in her agent form as well. You might be able to say it doesn't appear/is protected by henshin too if you like. But regardless when she powers down she would look the same as she did before powering up.
ALSO. For this character, while her hair style itself never changes, can her Alt civilian artwork show the changes in the temporary hair dye? Or would it have to stay the dark brown / pale blonde of the pre-temp dye?
Yes! You can totally use different colors of hair dye for every different piece of alternate civilian art if you'd like to. As long as the changes are realistic (or heck, even a wig) you are free to change up their look in civilian art.
I'm sorry if this question is a little garbled.

Could a civilian awaken as a Negaverse agent if they have seen their "knight" weapon, but have not touched it yet?
Senerio: Smiley Mc'derp: *sees a magical chopstick appear out of nowere... feels compelled to touch it....* General Kickassnite: Oh hell no *intervenes & corrupts before she makes contact with magical chopstick* Smiley Mc'derp: *Awakens as Lt. Lolnope with pointy chopstick of death*
Iris: I can't imagine this would happen super often, but it isn't out of the realm of possibility! If a knight's weapon appears but they have not yet touched it or powered up for the first time a General or General King/Queen could intervene and corrupt them first before they have the chance.

I'm not sure if this has already been answered but how many people could a single senshi with a pearl charm chauffeur to the moon?
I'm assuming at most two - one per hand so to speak but wanted to double-check
Iris: This is correct. In normal situations each person with a charm could transport two other people along with them by holding hands.
An Order Princess/Prince has a little more leeway thanks to their power level and ability to travel off of earth at will (without cooldowns) so they might be able to take a few extras. Also, if it is a one time plot situation where you'd like a character to be able to take more you can always contact the mule to discuss the possibility.

Does Anonymous (the hacker group) exist in the universe of ItNotM?
Iris: For the most part, if something exists or happens in the real world it can be extended to the universe of our shop. This happens all the time with references to movies, music, pop culture, and real life events like the Olympics and royal wedding.
Pretty much as long as it's not something totally game breaking (for instance the Sailor Moon anime or manga existing in the shop universe) you should be fine.
In the case of Anonymous you can definitely reference they and things they have done. You could also rp your character researching the group or even trying to work their way into joining it. If, however, you're wanting to use something like Anonymous or any other sort of hacking group in a plot that would in any way relate to the powered activity in DC (for instance trying to hack a powered database or spread word of the stuff going on in DC out into the rest of the world), then what would be a case in which you should send an official plot write-up to the mule.

what would happen to a person if their starseed was cracked? would it vary between hairline crack and significant crack? any impacts on powers?
Iris: Starseeds are incredibly fragile and delicate. When removed from the body, even fully intact, they will slowly lose their power. Merely touching and handling them inside the body (let alone corrupting or purifying them) is quite painful and uncomfortable to the person. Any actual damage to the starseed would resonate through the person it belongs to.
Even a tiny hairline crack would be extremely painful and possibly life threatening if not dealt with and healed in a reasonable time frame. One could say that it affects powers in a way since the character would likely feel fatigued and in constant pain.
A person with a significant crack would basically be dying. Unless they get immediate healing and help all their life force will leak from their starseeds and they will die. Lack of energy and severe pain would occur and they may not even have the energy to maintain their powered form.

Just wondering on an aethetics-of-Chaos question. Do you start bleeding green when you transform? Or is this something only higher level agents like general kings and ascended have to worry about? Or does it happen at all in shop cannon? Iris: That is something exclusive to the show and not something that was carried over into shop canon. All human members of any faction will bleed regular old red blood. Youma or part youma/part human creatures may however bleed strange colors.Natsube: It was probably done in order to keep the show from being too adult, like how Dangan Ronpa skirts an adult rating by having bright a** pink blood. That, or it was trying to make the Negas feel otherly, or the fact that in the manga canon they were rocks. Since we're neither literally rocks, dangan ronpa or anything other than human, you can safely bleed good ol' red. Thanks for the clarification!

Do combined attacks exist as a mechanic of the senshi magic in shop rules? Iris: Not currently no. We may or may not try to work it in in the future, but for the time being senshi cannot combine their attacks to make more awesome ones.

Hello fellow players! I was wondering: If you travel to space as someone's companion, do you still have to wait the required cooldown time?
So if a Super Senshi traveled with a friend to their friend's home planet, would the Super Senshi still have to wait two weeks before returning to space?
Thank you! <3
Iris: The cooldown only applies to the person whose homeworld is being visited. The guest isn't affected.

For the medals, if our character has corrupted a PC character but there was never an RP done to that effect, may we claim the medal anyway?
For example: Linarite has corrupted three people to the Negaverse: Petalite, Lazulite, and Pectolite. None of these were specifically RPed though I think Pectolite might have been as a solo. ICly she has corrupted them, it is common knowledge, and she would have been given the medal but as the players chose not to RP the corruption I have no specific RP.
Iris: You do not necessarily need the actual rp of corruption. Any rp/solo where it is mentioned that she was the one who did the corruption will work as IC proof. This could even been a solo where the character reflects on having done the corruptions.

What's the policy on cosplay civs? I.e. Caitlyn cosplays; would it be possible for me to get art of her in a cosplay outfit (sans wig/dye/etc so it still looks like her, not the character)? Iris: These are definitely okay, within reason (it should still look atleast vaguely like your character and not 100% like the cosplay character with nothing to identify the character underneath.) In fact there were quite a few given out during the last halloween event and general halloween civilian raffles. For instance - Link and Rainbow Brite
