Since you asked politely and on the proper forums I want to give you my answer and some thoughts.

Firstly, no you can't have Excalibur, and not just because I am a magic hoarding fiend but also because, eventually I want to do stuff with the Book of Magic and Arthurian/Merlin legend with Forks and anyone else and Excalibur is an important tool in that and important to Constantine, Zatanna's, and Timothy Hunt's role in all that.

Secondly and more basely, and I am not the only mod who believes this. Just like currently Thor is unworthy to wield Mjolnir, Evie as she was and is played is unworthy to wield Excalibur and this is whether she is the Shining Knight Legacy or not.

Evie as I see you picturing it is supposed to be a "Heroes Journey" tale of coming into power, learning to use that power, rejecting it for normalcy, before ultimately realizing her destiny. As such becoming an awesome hero and character.However she seems to start right out the gate at the point of rejecting power and doubting her ability moment without the build up to allow for the temporary fall and instead is just well not worthy with no potential.

Now the reason I am saying this to you is not to shut you down, or say no don't make Evie, but to let you know on an average whole the mods are not particularly happy about you leaving a character. That's only weakness in ability and purpose is your imagination. For that has shall I say politely, been a problem in the past with the mods in the past. And I know your not saying you would leave Evelyn but let's be honest. You would abandon her she is pretty much evil Evie with a yellow ring and once you got Evie back your focus on Evelyn would fade away to non-existence.

If you want I would be more than happy to NPC Sinestro for you and work with you to make Evelyn like you want. Hell if you really want to do the redemption thing. It not impossible, it just needs to be done right. It's not redemption if the character wasn't a downright evil p***k needing to be redeemed. I mean look at Darth Vader. His redemption was so badass because prequels not withstanding he was the one you looked under Dark and Evil in the dictionary. But anyway that is a side note.

TL'DR

No you can't have Excalibur Evie will need a new sword or not have one to start with and somehow steal or be given it from Atreyu, and unless you make her much more fleshed out and better purposed than before it is unlikely the mods would approve the return of Evie as you wanted her anyway.

Hooboy. Right first off he gave you his reasoning for not liking the idea of Evie and he actually said that from the stand point of several of the mods. One of the main ones actually being me. So now you've found your big girl pants and got angry at criticism, lets direct it at the right people.

He's right about the imagination section, Evie and Evelyn are essentially copies of the same character. From image, to who they're based on, to a lot of things about them. I for one won't approve. One, the above mentioned reason. Two, the fact you just went off on a mod for giving criticism, something you've seen before and know for a fact is frowned upon. Three, I have seen you roleplay this character in the past, more specifically who with. Considering you and your partner already have three intertwined characters, I refuse to add a fourth to the roster without guarantee they won't just be focused on each other. At this point it'd essentially break the rule of your own characters can't interact, since you're exclusively forcing your own characters around each other. Four, she'll probably just die. This isn't me saying we as mods will kill her, or anyone has it specifically out for her. But you've made an emotionally crippled and easily manipulated hero, and that will be used against her by any villain who can and wants to. And I know characters and real life people can have deep rooted flaws like that (see Tony Stark PTSD) but yours is run by it.

Now I'm going to say some more in detail out of bullet points. You are making this character because your plan for Evelyn didn't work the way you wanted. And honestly I see why Josh could assume you'd abandon her, I see it that way too (one doesn't work, bring in the original that this is based off.)
I personally won't sit down and get to know your characters, because they aren't real. I have their profiles in front of me and that should tell me what I need to know of them. If they are too similar there either well one of two things. They are too similar or you've done something wrong.

Finally no, Josh has no nerve for offering help with something he doesn't agree with. He is a mod we are meant to help you but if we deem it so we are allowed to abandon a character, he's being rather polite tbh. So get off your high horse, just because you're offended at his comments doesn't necessarily mean you're right.

There that's all I had to say. I for one won't be involved in approving Evie, and if you want me to you need to at least prove that she won't be centred around your partners character again. And if you think that's unreasonable I'd like to point out both Josh and I have or had partners in the guild, and we still manage to not be centred around them with our characters.

The guild has been quiet in general, with me and Josh gone one of yours and Grogan's characters were in a stalemate regardless. I'll wait until activity is regular and seen you interact with other people appropriately before I believe this.

I've looked at her profile, I know what I'm saying regarding the characters weaknesses mentally. When this was posted manipulation was an issue despite being Arthur's reincarnation (despite being a king by right and fate). And even with that removal I can still see her struggling. Once the final profile is done I may change my mind, I most likely will not approve still but will admit the character has improved on before. Therefore possibly opening me accepting the character in the future, but all my points up until now have been valid and would have to be sorted before I approve.

And this "mess" happened when you reacted to Josh the way you did. There was no mess outside of that. Simply us telling you what we did and did not think of her return. Anyway this has been solved now, any more on Evie will be reserved for her application thread.
