~:Shikyo Strife:~   Shikyo blinked to that, well she barely knew anyone so how could she have her eye on a bunch of boys? Maybe she wanted to dance with John but that was really it. She might ask him for a dance if she gained up the confidence to anyway. "Maybe but right now it's just us so let's make the best of it." ((OOC smile )

Miguel stepped behind her and pushed her towards a crowd of boys. "Come on. Don't be shy. Why not ask him to dance." He pointed to a dark elf boy wearing traditional garb. "It's okay. If he does something I'll come to your rescue." He promised her. He didn't want her to be afraid to try something.

"I don't even know who they are, I'm not just going to walk up to one of them and ask them to dance." She said as she put her hands on her hips with a stern look. ((OOC smile )

Miguel smiled at her. He didn't totally understand her, but he thought that she could to more and more. "A stranger is just someone you don't know yet." He pointed out. "Besides the guys will start to think that you're a smart and brave. That's what any man looks for in a good bride."

"Um...Would you like to have...This dance with me...?" She asked as she was a bit nervous but was putting on a brave face, though she did seem a little stiff. ((OOC smile )

Karon was a little surprised that a girl was talking to him. He was a little scary looking to some people because of his dark elf look. He looked t her up and down and she noticed that she at least had lovely dark hair. "Sure." He said with a smile as he let her guide them to a spot on the dance floor.

~:Shikyo Strife:~ Shikyo lead the dark elf out to a spot on the dance floor that was off to the side, no where near the middle but it was a good distance from the edge too. She moved her hands to his shoulders and let him lead when they started to dance. "S-So...What's your name?" She asked, trying to start up a conversation to help her relax a bit. ((OOC smile )

The dark elf looked at the girl when they started to dance. "My name is Karon. My family is from Denmark." He said in a cute accent. It was clear he wasn't fun around the area. "What is your name madam?" He asked with a smile.

Lorina Jinn | OutfitAfter biting into her cookie, Lorina listened to Ciel's answer. At the mention of her talent, she rose a brow, but it quickly lowered as she understood that such a thing would probably be something most shapeshifters would pick up. "I get it. And I say again, you'd make an awsome spy." She smiled, taking a drink from her punch before speaking again, "Or actress. Oh my god, you have got to join the drama club." She smiled, rather pleased by the thought. Ciel could shift to fit any role she pleased, although she had said that some forms felt more natural and easier to gain. However, even if she wished to stay how she was, a talent for mimicry would be very helpful in such a field. "Have you ever thought about performing?" She knew that her friend tended to act shyly, and most of the sort didn't want to be in the spotlight; yet she was curious about the answer, and whether or not Ciel would enjoy giving the activity a shot. Rebecca Lawrence | OutfitMoving as best she could with Simon, she listened to his response, curious as to what exactly he'd meant. Almost as if in response to her wondering, he moved with the music, though thankfully he knew more of he was doing than she, since she managed to avoid stepping on his feet. Slightly relieved when the music slowed, she responded to his second statement, having never actually been to a club before. "I bet. Though I suppose everyone had their preferences." She'd always assumed that they prefered to drink, and whatever they did have to say was shouted. His comment of being talkative made her smile, and she told him, "Ah, well, perhaps I should try a night club then, because as I'm sure you can see, I'm not much of a conversationalist." She was merely kidding, since a crowded place like club would only give her terrible headaches, but she didn't say as much, since it didn't really fit into her joke. Richard Lawrence | OutfitAfter making sure to memorize her name, it would be embaressing if he forgot later and ran into her, he nodded to show that he'd heard her response. "You must enjoy it." he pointed out, since he knew that two years of the same activity meant that likely did have fun doing it. Bellatrix Solindo | OutfitNoticing Len just before he spoke, she smiled in greeting, then answered his question simply. "It's fine. Not too much trouble." There had only been one minor incident, but it'd avoided a climax while she'd been speaking with Karon. Considering a few past dances, this ball was good enough. When he spoke again, she shook her head, as while she'd been offered a dance, she'd declined. "No, I haven't. What about you? Having any fun?"

She was careful not to run into other people that were dancing as well. "But Denmark is pretty far from here, it must have been a long trip getting here." ((OOC smile )

Sipping at her punch, the girl smiles faintly at the mention of being a spy again. Her brother had thought about it briefly when he was younger before ultimately changing his mind, but it was something that Ciel remembered well. The idea had stuck with her well, especially after the way her parents reacted when she mentioned it to them; they were completely against the idea, law enforcement and government freaked them out, but Ciel still secretly thought it might be cool. Maybe she'd be able to be more confident if she was someone else? At the mention of acting and the drama club, she looked surprised for a moment. She didn't know how she'd be able to stand on a stage and act in front of people, but Lorina had a point; her abilities would be very useful for a performer. She shook her head at her friend's question, as the thought had never really crossed her mind. She wasn't sure what her brother would think about such, but it was quite possible he'd say it would be good for her development. He was kind of weird like that. "Are you in the drama club?" she had remembered Lorina mentioning it during their tour, but she didn't know if the girl had followed through on her intentions.

 Simon smiled, "Ah she tells jokes to." he chuckled, she really was a cute person with a cute personality to match, having had his fill of dancing but unsure whether she wanted to continue dancing or not, "Care for a drink?" he asked, he was thirsty also, so he felt it to be the best way to redirect them, but if she wanted to continue on the dance floor then he wouldn't object.

Lorina Jinn | Outfit Swallowing her second bite of cookie quickly, she answered Ciel with a smile. "I am now. I signed up at club rush." She couldn't recall seeing the girl there, but it was a fairly big event with enough people that they could have missed each other. That, and she'd left early with Richard, since he'd been having trouble that day with crowds. Looking over the shapeshifter's shoulder, she spotted Rebecca, and gave the girl a small wave She may have beckoned her over, but it seemed as if she was busy with someone else; noting that, she gave her attention back to Ciel after explaining who'd taken her attention for those moments, and then moved back to their conversation. "I really look forward to the year, and I think you'd get along with the others." Rebecca Lawrence | OutfitBlushing lightly at his comment, she was about to say something, as to what, she wasn't sure, when he spoke again, saving her the trouble of having to pick out a response. She nodded, taking a small step back as the song ended. "Alright." She could see the table of refreshments from where they stood, so it wouldn't be a long walk. There were a few other students milling about that area, but she wouldn't worry much about picking out their thoughts, since she seemed to be doing well so far that evening. Walking to the area with Simon, she was picking up a glass when saw Lorina's wave, and she responded in kind before pouring her drink and selecting a brownie. Richard Lawrence | OutfitLeaning against the table, he thought about her question, though it didn't long for him to answer. "I enjoy soccer." it was his favorite sport, and even when he'd taken a break from the school's team he would still practice outside when he got the chance. "But during the off-season I write. I'm actually hoping to become a professional writer." It was his main choice, with the only other career he would consider was as a professional soccer goalie. Still, after several debates on teh subject, he'd found that sports even less of a garuntee as writing, and at least recieving a degree would allow him a better chance at other odd jobs.

Acknowledging her friend's confirmation with a small nod, Ciel took a small bite of her cookie. It Lorina was already signed up, then that meant she would definitely be at the club meetings. Which also meant that she would know at least one person at the meetings... "Is the teacher in charge the same one who teaches the class?" she had signed up for the drama class on her brother's suggestion, though the acting skills she hoped to improve weren't necessarily for the stage. If it was the same teacher, she would probably be able to grow more comfortable with the man if she were to see him double the amount, and surely no teacher that taught at Reeds could be too bad. Except for this strange Imhotep that she had heard so many terrible things about. The memories sent a shiver down her spine, which she quickly attempted to hide by taking a drink of her punch.
