1 - 20: You huff and puff and reach.... a steep steep cliff. Only quick thinking of not jumping off the edge saves you from a fall of doom. Slowly, you climb down the side, nearly slipping and still falling to your doom. At least you made it... + 0.5 miles.
It seemed to be smooth sailing from here for Rin. Seemed. But she nearly ran right off the side of a cliff to her unquestionable doom.
Look, I couldn't see it. I'm sooo-rreeee!
With that she set to climbing down the side of it, slipping several times along her route but ultimately hanging on until she was down on safe-ish solid ground again to continue onward.
21 - 40: You reach a small cliff going upwards... it looks really dangerous to scale. This looks like a dead end, you'll have to try another route around.
Rin continued along the dip to find herself at another cliff - there was no way she was climbing this so she had to deftly turn on a heel and head back the way she came until she could find another route between the two cliffs.
41 - 60: You huff and puff and reach what seems like a beach area. Thankfully this part is an easy run. +1 mile
Rin found a sandy path leading up out of the small valley and was relieved to find a stretch of what appeared to be a sandy beach. Time to turn her pace up and finish strong. She sped up substantially even though her shoes were getting full of sand as a result.
Rin could almost feel Byr's encouraging hand on her back, eagerly urging her onward.
She was so eager to rest that she kept going quite a bit past the finish in order to find a comfortable spot to just flop down and shake the excess water from her hair and take her shoes off to shake out moist sand and wring out her shoes and socks. In retrospect, dipping her feet - shoes and all in the river earlier may not have been the best idea.
21 - 40: You reach a shall cliff going upwards... it looks really dangerous to scale. This looks like a dead end, you'll have to try another route around.
It wasn't bad, really. Sure it was a bit dangerous, but nothing compared to what she'd expected from the message she'd gotten this morning. In fact, Syd thought, she almost felt like incorporating this particular run into her daily workout. At least she was seeing pretty scenery... or, well, as pretty as it got on the island.
And then she ran into a cliff. For a long moment she stared at it, then sighed and went looking for another path. Maybe she'd thought too soon.
61 - 80: You reach a stream of water - unfortunately the water is moving incredibly fast and can easily push you away. It looks like you're going to have to find a route around.
She'd thought she'd found a path, Syd thought as she stared at the stream of water crossing it. She reached down, picking up and tossing a small rock into the water, only to watch it get washed away faster than she could blink.

She was getting a little tired, Syd admitted. All these dead ends were starting to grate on her--she jerked back as she reached a steep cliff, staring down it as a small pebble fell down, tapping on a few jagged rocks as it fell. She started walking along the edge, a slight frown of concentration on her face before she turned, starting down the side.

Annnnd she was back at the stream again. Syd stared at it with a bland expression before sighing and looking for yet another way around.
41 - 60: You huff and puff and reach what seems like a beach area. Thankfully this part is an easy run. +1 mile
Running, running, running... she'd found this nice beach area after following the water for a bit, and grabbed it with both hands (figuratively). Syd jogged down the beach for an easy mile, so happy that there were no sharp cliffs to be seen. Or whales. She was still super glad for the lack of whales on this trip.
And more running! Lots of running! At least, until she ran into another cliff. Syd sighed, turning and looking for another way around. She was almost there, she told herself. Just a little further.
"How many streams of water does this damn place have??!" Syd bellowed as she came to another one. Then she turned, as if she hadn't just lost her temper, and walked away to find another way. Again. Did that make it ANOTHER another way?
Hell if she knew.
Izy, start singing, she bossed her weapon.
Izy asked, a bit stunned by the tone. Please?
So Izy started singing. Hopefully that would calm her down.
That was better, Syd thought as she started moving again. She could concentrate with him singing--strangely enough. Her eyes wandered over the terrain, catching onto the path that was no more than ten feet away, and she headed for it, racing down it for the final stint. She'd made it, she thought as she dropped at the finish line. She'd made it. With a bit more than she needed.
Were all promo missions like this?

Allan was thankfully, waiting for them at the end with five bottles of fresh, cold Ramune. Sure, they had taken way longer than ten minutes, but the Sun lead was actually a reasonably patient guy who did not judge people for their faults. There would be no judging, they were nakama and that meant respect.
"Here you go trainee-tachi, for reaching halfway!" Allan tossed each trainee one of the Ramune bottles, though it was gratefully icy-cold to the touch, it would probably take them quite a considerable amount of time to figure out open one. The Sun lead was all about positive encouragement: he totally had spent the entire last night creating a small package, a congratulations gift for each of these trainees pass or fail. Just to let them know that regardless of what happened, he supported them. And oh, apparently Tofu and Pistachio flavoured Pocky was really popular right now and he wanted to share with them the joy in his new found exploration.
In his other hand however, there was a bundle of rope. A very thick bundle of rope with a single grappling hook. "Heads up!" Was pretty much the only shout Allan gave as he threw the hook all the way up into the air -
- And about at least fifty feet up, there was a soft clink. The Sun lead tested the rope for a second before giving all the trainees a thumbs up, regardless of whether or not they had finally discovered how to open the Ramune bottle. "All right, you can do this trainee-tachi, I believe in you, Allan-taichou will be watching you, encouraging you all the way!"
Where did that man ever get all his energy from?
PART 3: CLIMBING THE WALL
- Allan has taken the time thankfully to fasten a few more ropes, hopefully you're not afraid of heights. - To scale the wall, you will need to roll a dice. You need to obtain +6 in order to have scaled the wall. - Now, here is where it gets tricky. At the ground you are a 0. Roll a 6-sided dice. If odd, your dice result is a positive number ( ie: +1, +3, or +5). I f EVEN, your dice result is a negative number (ie: +2, +4, or +6). You obviously cannot go below 0. - Once you have hit +6, you have scaled the wall! Congratulations...it is really high up here now you need to climb back down (one post climbing down is fine).

Ami groaned as the Ramune bottle smacked into her stomach, as she was still laying on the ground in pain. Well so much for being refreshing and cool- all she got was more pain in her stomach.
She watched from the ground as Allan threw the rope up- Jesus he had an arm- but didn't make any sort of move to climb the rope.
Yeah, she'd just stay here. On the ground. It was safe on the ground.
Ft. Climbed: 0 great start ami.

Maybe she ought to go. It would probably be the right thing to do. After all, she needed to promote at some point.
... Five more minutes on the ground wouldn't hurt her.

Ami groaned and moaned as she stood up, her sides aching and screaming with pain. They were only halfway. HALFWAY.
Well someone had to get up and climb that rope. She decided to take INITIATIVE.
Actually? It wasn't that bad. She made it up a good third of the rope without much strife. It was just everything after that that was hard. She started to feel a burn and grunted. Fuuuuck climbing ropes.
