Shehk investigates the boxes by the wall.

The boxes by the wall contain what looks to be various decorations. Aside from a couple dart boards that look like more than just darts were thrown at them, there is a pair of manacles, some chains, and various heavy iron weapons that have more function as decorations than as weapons. The box also contains several bolts and a large, heavy hammer. It seems that once those items went up, there was little to no chance of taking them back down.

The second box contains several framed pictures. There's a diploma, a teacher's license, a boogeyman's license, several certifications for various skills, and photos. Some of the photographs are scenic, either as artistic renditions of places in Halloween with one of Christmastown. Others are actual photos: here's Red posing with her cloak fluttering about her off of some scenic point. There's Red with Arel and Cricket, her arms around both of their shoulders and drawing them close. Both Arel and Cricket look exasperated, in a sort of I-don't-want-to-but-I'm-doing-it-anyway sort of way. Another photo is Red with a group of cloaked people – Boogeymen. It looks as if they're partying. There's a similar photo with fewer people, each of them looking serious as they pose around an unfamiliar emblem with Boogey Squad 257 printed in the lower-left hand corner. The final picture is a blown-up copy of the club group photograph that Shehk saw earlier. It looks like Red is the one leading the charge towards the photographer.

Miliardo Kason
…first binder she pushed it aside grabbing the second one and flipping through it front to back.

The second binder was more interesting. It looked like it was Red's planner: there were plans for various physical activities, from exercises to survival exercises to defense training. There were even grades, however it looked like the last time a grade was put into the system was last year in March… In fact, Red never did grade that Skittershark exercise.

Blade Kuroda
…looked through the bottom left drawer of the desk.. .

Shun attempted to open the drawer. It is locked.

Enoh Love
The letter and pin were put back into the envelope and tucked into her pant pocket…

Amrita has gained: x1 unsent letter.

Enoh Love
..investigate the box on the chair…

The box was filled with personal effects. The first photograph Amrita pulled out was a family photo. Red was standing next to a male with pale brown hair and washed out pale streaks. Both of them are holding the hands of a young scareling, holding her up and off the ground in order to swing her between them. The scareling's dark hair has been done up in pigtails, and she's wearing a light pink cloak. They have smiles on their faces.

The second photograph is a photo of a werewolf pup with her paws on a misshaped snowman. The bright pink cloak on her marks her as the scareling in the previous photo. It looks as though the youngling is either in the process of building or wrecking said snowman.

The third photograph is a group photo of Red with some boogeymen. The photo is autographed by all members of the photograph, save for Red. The words "Run with us again soon!" have been boldly written across the bottom portion of the photograph by someone in such a way that does not overwrite their faces.

A fourth photograph is a group photo of the school faculty. Most likely this was taken in the Teacher's Lounge.

A fifth photograph is a picture of someone on stage, however the figure is too tiny to make out.

Aside from the photographs, the rest of the box is filled with various personal effects such as hairbrushes, empty glass bottles in unique shapes, a dog-eared old copy of Hornz complete with commentary scribbled in the margins, and some photo albums.

Inu-Mitsu
Unable to resist the urge Mitsu moved closer to the bookshelf and reached for the ball resting there to give it a look over.

Nothing Yet
…squinting at the ball…

The ball feels light. Bouncy. Mitsu can't resist giving it an experimental squeeze. It doesn't squeak, but to Thackery's delight it lights up. Mitsu gave it an experimental bounce, catching the ball as it came back up. The ball was still flashing lights after bouncing, before the lights shut off automatically.

Mitsu gave the ball an experimental shake. What looked to be glitter inside of it swirled around. Sudenly, Mitsu bounced the ball again and shook it, watching as it glittered and swirled! It was very pretty to look at, if dangerous considering its sparkling contents.

Nothing Yet
…set the metal thing down and pick up the manual once more.

Thackery may or may not have put the metal thing in what could have been or was not the position it was in before. There may or may not have been a soft click that was lost when Mitsu bounced the ball earlier.

Dragain
…check out the ceiling, walking around and looking for any odd or loose looking stone bricks while pretty much getting a bird's eye view of the office…

Lizzy doesn't see anything out of the ordinary on the ceiling. There is a rug beneath the desk Red sits at, as the shape is dark and circular.

Bloodlust Dante
And the pup stayed dead still after letting out the involuntary noise.

Bloodlust Dante
…this time looking at the box that was wrapped up next to said drink.

The box wasn't there anymore. Sammy was in possession of it, and she had set it down near her.

Iizbot
…moved up against the side of the bookshelf and started quietly trying to push it aside…

And just like in the movies, the bookshelf moved smoothly on greased hinges. The bookshelf slid to one side to reveal… a cubby-hole. There was a large beanbag chair littered with white wolf hair along with a small bookshelf inside. It looked like Miss Red had a small hidey-hole that she spent the night in, if the blankets off to one side of that overlarge beanbag chair are to give any indication of her previous activities.

Katarina Everard
…flying up to look on top of the book shelf.

After the bookshelf was pushed aside, there wasn't anything out of the ordinary on top of the bookshelf aside from dust, dust, and more dust. And possibly a piece of paper. Imryn picks it up, however it is too dark and too dusty to read.

Ol-j-man
…closing the runic-lettered book and taking it off the desk with him.

Mort has gained an unknown book.

Ol-j-man
…began to push against the brick walls leading up to the bookcase…

There are no brick walls next to it. There are cold walls made out of stone however, and yet these still do nothing.

Sosiqui
…examine the manacles…

Despite all of Red's threats to one day shackle someone into them, it looked as though the manacles were never used. While Red was a sadistic teacher, to chain a student into those would be more torture to her than them.

Shun frowned as the drawer was locked. Something had to be inside of it then. Though, he soon looked up sharply as Demi sneezed, holding still for a moment as he tried to listen for anything that might be trouble. However, his attention shifted towards Mitsu as sparkly lights caught his attention.

"Mitsu," he hissed rather sharply. He hoped he wasn't going to have to confiscate the damn ball. However, the area Aymet had found was rather intriguing. He'd have to go investigate once he was through with searching the desk.

"Does anyone know how to pick a lock or have something that could be used as a lockpick?" he asked quietly before moving to check the top right drawer of the desk. He'd go back to the bottom left later.

He shouldn't have read the note that the ghoul had slid over to him, Sparrow pressing his lips together as he skimmed over the cheerfully written words. He had not known Professor Red all that well - he had only been at Amityville for a short time when everything had happened, but even he understood that the letter was something that would not ever be read again.

There was a whirring sound over where the bookshelf was. He stepped away from the desk and moved to stand beside Aymet, peering around him at the unexpected cubbyhole of sorts hidden behind the bookshelf.

"...what is this place?" Sparrow murmured quietly, reaching out to pull out a book from the bookshelf inside the hidey-hole to look at it.

LOOK-OUT

Hel did feel reassured that she heard the sound of her fellow students shuffling through Red’s office…that was most certainly better than silence, which would have indicated that something went horribly wrong.

The ghoul shifted her weight from foot to foot again, looking down one of the hall to another once more. Still so far so good. She glanced over at Taryn to see what the ghoul was up to, resting her hands on her hips, and then looked back across the hall again.

The only notable thing that could be seen was a rug beneath Red's desk. Pressing her fingers onto the ceiling, she pushed herself off it, retracted her legs, and slowly lowered herself down to the floor via webbing... Like a spider, really.

She tapped Shun on his shoulder on the way down, giving the web a tug, causing it to dissipate as she giggled, "Boo~" Briefly trying to take a look at what he was doing, she then knelt down beside him, and crawled around the desk, looking under the rug from all sides, to make sure that she wouldn't end up missing anything accidentally.

Malodore straightened - the manacles didn't seem to have any unusual or interesting qualities. It heard Shun's hiss, though, and walked over to the Reaper, reaching back to pluck one of its very thinnest metal feathers. "Try this?" it asked, holding out the feather.

Shehk brushed her hand over the picture of Christmas town, a small frown gracing over her face as she took it in, memories flooding her head. Back when things were better. It had been a horrible field trip at the time, but she would have accepted it openly as their sort of fare at that point in time.

Something they could handle now because they had all grown so much. The pricolici sniffled softly before she continued looking through all of the personal effects. There were so many memories there of things she'd never seen and she took several minutes to look over each photograph more closely than her initial little search. She kind of wished she had a camera right then, to be honest. Not to take pictures of the inside of Red's office, but rather to take pictures of the people there.

She'd never realized how short the time could become. Even if she started taking pictures now, there was one person who would never show their face in any of the shots of her friends.

However, she couldn't help but feel like there were people who would have liked to hold onto one of these memories. Were there copies of this photo of Red, Cricket, and Arel floating about? Did they have one? Shehk couldn't help but take the picture of the three friends before she realized the bookshelf she'd been looking over earlier had been moved.

Carefully, she stood up to go an crawl into the hidey-hole as well. "...Why didn't I think of this?" she mused lightly, "Good find, Aymet." she added with a not too hidden note of praise, before she took a moment to Look over the bookshelf in Red's hidden space as well to see what there was.

Unlocking the drawer would be easier if there was a lock to pick.

Twitching slightly as he got poked, Shun looked up at Lizzy with a rather flat gaze before turning towards Malodore. Staring at the thin metallic feather, he took it before returning to the lower left... only to find there was no actual lock to try to pick.

"..."

Letting out a sigh, he straightened up and returned the feather to Mal.

"Nevermind. Thank you though."

The plague doctor accepted the feather, tucking it away in one sleeve before moving to join Sparrow in the small hidden room, nodding at the Reaper in a solemn fashion. It bent down to the beanbag, trying to shift it aside... maybe it could collect some of the hair for later analysis? Perhaps being bonded with a Hunter weapon had created abnormalities in the body that might be indicated through a sample?

Sammy only looked up for a moment as the bookcase moved aside, the second binder had been far more interesting then the first and dragged her attention back down to the pages. Flipping through she searched for any plans that seemed odd or out of place before the events of the field trip

"I dunno, a bookshelf inside another bookshelf?" The dracolich leaned in as well to cast some phylactery-light on the secret bookshelf.

"It was nothing." The dracolich half-turned his head in Shehk's direction. Aymet's quiet voice was tinged with a little bit of smugness at the discovery and the praise. He couldn't help but show off a little bit.

Aymet's gaze shifted to the shed fur, which was very distinctly white. It had not dissipated in all the months Red had been 'gone'. Was it an indication that Red... wasn't as dead as they all believed? Aymet hadn't seen her die, after all, which made the possibility seem much more likely. After Malodore he too attempted to grab a little bit of the white fur. Not for science though. Well. It was complicated.

It was hard to tell with all of the shuffling going on if there was any outside noise. Trying to catch a scent beyond the noise, Abigail's tongue flicked in and out, trying to grasp at any presence. Taryn's sharp eyes trailed down the hall, and she thought she was a fleeting shadow that she didn't much like. Please just be from a window...

Mitsu jumped when Shun hissed her name, the fancy glittery ball nearly falling from her grasp. She struggled to hold onto it, the ball nearly escaping to the floor three or four times before her fingers wrapped around it firmly and held it close to shield the light. Frowning lightly she set the ball back on the shelf next to the book end just as the bookshelf was being pushed aside.

She wasn't sure what she had been expecting but a little hidey hole in the wall wasn't one of them. Her eyes immediately fell to the beanbag chair with the white wolf hair and the lycan sighed. Lizzy had told her to talk with Professor Red and she had never gotten a chance. The day she wanted to talk to her things went crazy so she left and not long after they went on the field trip...and Miss Red didn't come back.

Unsure or unwilling Mitsu moved away from the tiny room and headed toward Shun to see what he was up to. The desk seemed really interesting and her eyes seemed to settle on the one drawn Shun hadn't managed to open. She had heard him say something about picking it but noted, as he had a moment later, there was no lock.

Curious Mitsu knelt beside the desk and felt underneath and around the inside wondering if there was a hidden latch. That always seemed to be the case in the books she had read to surely there was something that would open the draw. If that failed to work she would try tugging on it, maybe her natural strength could pry it open.

Blade Kuroda
...moving to check the top right drawer of the desk.

The drawer slides out easily. In fact, too easily. Shun pulled the drawer open too far, causing something wrapped in packages to spill out of it before he manages to right it in time, shoving the entire thing back onto its hinges with a clatter.

kuromeez

Quote:

Her shoulders stiffened as she felt his warm breath caress the back of her neck, his strong hands resting on her shoulders. She could feel him squeeze possessively as he ran his teeth along the edge of her stitches. "I will find them," he whispered softly, fang nipping and cutting through one careful stitch, "and I will slowly peel the skin off of them, piece by piece in retribution."

Sparrow should have probably looked at the book before opening and reading it. Sparrow probably has a good idea why Red hid this place away. It looked like this is where she kept most of her private things, including her guilty pleasures.

YOU HEAR THAT? GUILTY. PLEASURES.

SERIOUSLY.

Dragain
...looking under the rug from all sides...

The stone floor beneath the rug looked like a stone floor. At least the parts that Lizzy could see in the darkness and weren't pinned down by the heavy desk.

Look over the bookshelf in Red's hidden space...

Thanks to Aymet, they can see that the bookshelf contains a large amount of fiction. There are a few romance novels, some novels for scarelings that aren't quiet yet ready for the more adult-themed books, several books that look as though they came from another world, some graphic novels, and more. There were even some books that didn't have anything written on the spines either, blank.

Sosiqui
It bent down to the beanbag, trying to shift it aside... maybe it could collect some of the hair for later analysis?

The beanbag is rather large. The part that Malodore was able to shift aside revealed -- RIIIIIP!

Oh dear. It appears that it accidentally ripped part of it open, spilling the small pellet-shaped beanbag chair stuffing across the floor!

Miliardo Kason
...searched for any plans that seemed odd or out of place before the events of the field trip...

Sammy doesn't think she sees anything out of the ordinary. It's just a teacher's plan book.

Aymet
...attempted to grab a little bit of the white fur.

While the beanbag was deflating, Aymet swiped some fur... and managed to open the hole a bit wider in the process, spilling even more of the pellets out!

Inu-Mitsu
Curious Mitsu knelt beside the desk and felt underneath and around the inside wondering if there was a hidden latch.

The stone was rough to the touch. She slid her hands around it, however Mitsu doesn't think she finds anything. She can't shake the feeling that there's a trick to opening it, though...
