Scorch waited, and gave an inward sigh of relief as his God showed up. He glanced up, and opened his eyes, and tried his best to put a slight tired smile on his face as he sighed a little. "Don't worry...I don't plan on running off with some Cursed or anything..I've learned my lesson. I'm just concerned about these new Cursed gods that have shown up that we keep hearing about. Concerned for everyone's saftey. That's why Jangles and the rest of us wanted to go back out there...Do you... know much about them, my Lord?"
Arms folded across his chest, Venezia tilted his head as he listened. A hm or hum escaped his lips for a few moments followed by silence. "Hehehe... I'm afraid I do not know anything about them. My information source up and left when we did." A sleeved hand was waved. Morgana now followed the Martyr and that was it Venezia was aware of. Who or what these Cursed Gods were was beyond him. To even think that there were such a thing was a chilling sensation.

Scorch nodded, he was pretty sure he knew who she meant. "I only ask... because...I ran across Veldri the other day..." He pauses, frowning deeply at the experience, of seeing her in her current state, instead of what she was before, one of Venezia's own Jesters. "...I mean, I know so many carnies go MIA... and I often wonder where a lot of them went, but it was ....disconcerting to see her...and end up fighting her..." He stops again, and looks at his god sadly, though he knows he won't be able to tell what Venezia's thinking behind that mask.

Venezia faintly recalled what happened. Various Gods tried to bestow blessing upon their followers only for some horrid happening to occur. Arms unfolded now Venezia waved a sleeve dismissively. "It is sad to think of what happened to her. I do not understand what happened myself. But I wouldn't be too far off to say a Cursed was involved. Hehehe, a god or not I do not know~" The Carnival God did suffer sadness from the events of the failed blessings. He had lost followers and that for any god was distressing but it also was caused by something he did not understand. Nor care to. Because the God knew there was absolutely nothing that could be done. A thought hit him which caused the God to lean down closer to Scorch. Darkened eyes with a tinge of red stared into the carny's. "Do you hate me for what happened?"

She had admitted as much, before spewing all the rest of her lies about his Lord. As the carnival God leaned in to stare at him though, and asked him that question, his eyes got wide. "What? No! How could I hate you for something that wasn't your fault! I think you're right, a cursed was involved. Veldri..she.. told me it was someone called the Corrupter that stepped in...and changed her." He blinks a few times, and frowns in thought. "She did refer to him as a God too... so maybe he is one of the new ones that's showed up?"

Venezia tilted his head back and laughed. He at times enjoyed toying with his followers but soon again waved a sleeved hand. "Hehehe, no worries, my dear Scorch~" He paused though to listen to the other. The Corrupter? Another god. Moments passed which seemed like ages to the carnival God. He tried to place mental pieces together and eventually gathered some sort of conclusion if one could consider it one. "Hmn... My my that isn't good, now is it? Any blessing us Gods do then could be altered..." He frowned at the thought.

"Unless..we figure out why it happens...and find a way to stop it? Perhaps speaking with the other gods, and see if they know anything further? Pooling your resources...working together more..." He pauses, hoping not to anger Venezia with his suggestions. "I know that I'm..really headstrong.. and stubborn, my lord..and I'm sorry if I'm out of place by asking...but I just want to help stop the cursed. I don't want anyone to be stolen away, whether it's a corrupted blessing, or something like what I almost fell into..." he frowns deeply at that, though he feels he's stronger for what he went through, now.

Work together with others? Venezia frowned at the thought but his mask betrayed his feelings, that endless smile still there. "Hmn..." There was a few Gods he didn't want much of anything to deal with. They annoyed him with their 'better than thou' attitude. Just as it can be said he annoyed them, or so he thought, with his 'carefree; laugh in your face' attitude. A few more hmms escaped his lips. "Well~ Hexynia, our ally has not yet set forth outside her temple. Other Gods are too new or haven't really done much themselves from what I've heard." His head rolled for a moment as he moved to glance up at the sun, shielding his eyes. "I heard rumors of the Sun God fighting someone... very bold for one just awakened."

"Any tried contact with the overgrown jello mold is impossible. He seems to only be reached when he wishes." Venezia resisted the urge to roll his eyes in irritation. He had a sinking feeling that the alien knew more than most of the Gods combined. A pause followed his words while he went through a mental list of each God. A good majority of them didn't fight let alone bless much of anything. Yet one God he recalled did stick out to him. Syrridan. He was one of the few other Gods who's blessings went wrong. At least he's pretty sure. "Hehehe, what about the one who spews endless babble of love?" They could go talk to him but the chance of gaining anything were slim.

"That's a shame.." he comments, but then as Venezia mentions the love god, he shrugs a little. "I guess he's one to try, then? I just hope we can get to the bottom of this, my lord.. it's all I'm asking. Maybe if this war ever ends the others will be more accessible too."

"Hmmm, seems so~" Venezia shifted a bit and glanced around. "If you had an interesting experience I do wonder if the others have as well... Have you heard anything of any sort of encounters like your own, Scorch?"

"With these...corrupted?" he asks. "I...don't think so...but it might bear asking. Perhaps if anyone else came across them, they only thought them to be normal Cursed, and didn't realize what they were... I only found out because the first one I fought was blathering on at me about how great this Corrupter was...the other one, didn't even know about him, and just thought you'd cursed him on purpose." He shakes his head a bit sadly, at that.

Why do they wish to follow Venezia?: Scarlet is a fire dancer, enjoying the act and heat from the stage. She could easily turn it to a weapon to protect herself and anyone she cares about, including the Carnival God himself if needed.
