Cass stepped into the kitchen to investigate. "Hey, this is nice and open!" she commented, half leaning on the island when she noticed the fridge jiggle.
"....Guys...." she suddenly grew quiet as it shook again. "Guys, I think I found where Zuul moved." she said again. The last time she'd made the Zuul reference was when she'd opened Julie's fridge (oh god), but the reference was much more warranted this time when the door of said fridge suddenly swung open and out came flying a group of- "ARE YOU SERIOUS?"

"I got your back, Cass!" Syd yelled, racing to fend off the killer cupcakes so the other female could attack. They were SO ruining her cupcake love! It was bad enough that chocolate still made her queasy!

Seriously, she was kind of scared to think of what the inside of a fridge that could make food sentient actually looked like. Especially when she'd seen Julie's fridge and well....there was quite a standard of comparison for it.
Never the less, she leaned off of the island and moved into the mob, firing. Pew pew pew!
"This is not the fate that cupcakes deserve, nyan~!" she seemed to frown to Syd about this.

With the former weapon defeated, Aria knelt next to the hunter corpse. She reached out, her hand hovering above the hunter uncertainly. She didn't want to roll them over to see. There was a certainty deep down that Aria did not want to face, a confirmation that she did know whose house this was.
She pulled back and stood up right as the fog-creature charged, nearly sending the division leader tumbling right on top of Molly. Aria climbed to her feet and waited until the creature turned to charge them again, blasting it in its face with fire when approached.

"No kidding, nyan!" Cass seemed to frown, even as she made a point to not get in the way of her lovely shield while she fired upon more of the confection creatures. She'd never eat a cupcake and savor it ever again!!

"I think you missed my joke, nyan." Cass replied as she fired into a few more of them. Really, this was turning into excellent target practice for her firing arm.
And the killer cupcakes didn't scatter when she fired into them unlike the ducks. Beautiful!

Cass fired several more times into the little mob of cupcakes before she brought Nicodemus swinging upwards at the remnants, sending insanity and icing scattering everywhere after her.
She half grinned.

A lockpick set? Yes! She grinned. "Thank you, Aria! Nyan~!" This was great! As soon as she had that she could really focus on planning ways to get a plant into the Mist lounge. Having a house made it easier; ideas were already forming.
Scout the house, huh? That would help a lot. She could look for all possible entryways into this place. Candace glanced up toward the stairs, jumping when she heard a commotion. Oh. Cupcakes. Okay. Totally normal.
..But hadn't Julie lived in a dorm, not a house? Maybe she'd given this hunter cupcakes before they left.
Her eyes suddenly burned, a lump filling her throat that she tried to clear out as she rubbed at her eyes. Don't think about her. Not now. Not here. Mmmmmm~. Caaaandaaaaaaaaace~. Atropos crooned, her voice a low purr. Candace groaned. Not now, Atropos. I know you're ready but-- Go upstairs. Maybe something is upstairs you can use me on~. Right. Good idea.
"I'll start clearing upstairs. There seem to be a few rooms up here." Candace called out, looking at said stairs. Aside from just a couple of seconds ago in a hurry, she'd never climbed steps with Atropos summoned, and like hell was she unsummoning her with a full charge again. She'd never hear the end of it!
Sideways steps, one at a time. Left foot, right foot..this wasn't so bad. Slow but doable.
She got to the top of the stairs and looked up and down the hall. Nothing yet. Good sign. She went for the first room she could find, trying the knob before letting herself in.

A bedroom? Hmm! Ohh it had windows. Candace was cautious as she stepped around the dusty bed, checking the windows. Locked, unlockable and not stuck. They were a little stiff and noisy though. Not a good way to enter unnoticed when the occupant of this house was going to be a paranoid ex-Sun hunter with a surveillance system.
She tried the closet. Nothing was attacking her yet, but she always had to check the closet.
