All thoughts of escape fled from Uaithne's mind as the woman stepped forth from the shadows, starring at them for a long moment before giving the a smile. Tilting his head to one side he couldn't help but to wonder who she might be, someone just coming to gawk at them, perhaps? Before he could wonder or fret anymore though she started to speak, telling them that she apologized for the fear and mistreatment that they might have experienced and the Majin found himself starring right back at her despite knowing that it was rather rude to stare. She was sorry? That was the last thing that he'd expected to hear from her... She then spoke of not trying anything foolish, that they should simple be obedient because she was here to help them. It sounded nice enough but he somehow doubted that she was just going to let them out...
Her next words caused Uaithne the slightest bit of amusement, not because it was funny per say, but given the situation to say that they were in more danger then they realized when some of then were Majin and in the heart of a stronghold full of people that wanted to kill them. He couldn't really fathom there being anymore danger then what he was already in, he really didn't want to try either. If this wasn't the most danger he'd be in today he'd rather be oblivious to what was worse then this. Shifting in place he took a couple step closer, trying to do so as quietly as possible, so that he could get a closer look at the woman. He wondered if she was like those that had taken them, was she a Blackheart too? He really had no idea... she seemed different, and somehow despite everything her voice was rather soothing wasn't it? Helping just a bit in quelling the fear he was felling.
It was likely the weakness he had for women that caused him to so easily find himself wanting to respond when she asked if they would give her their names. He'd even opened his mouth to do so... that was until another in the group spoke up, seeming as though he weren't as easily dazzled by a lady as Uaithne was. The witch, one of the ones he didn't know personally, was soon demanding how it was that she didn't know who they were if she was aware of the danger that was meant for them. It was a question he found himself mulling over. A good question that the witch was able to keep his head about him he thought to himself, a little embarrassed. Perhaps he should attempt to be a little more wary himself even if it were a lot harder to do when facing a lady instead of intimidating men in heavy armor. She just seemed the better option of the two and the one that he'd much rather deal with... which made him wonder if that was the point? Lifting a hand he started to chew nervously on his thumb nail. It was a terrible habit of his that he indulge in when anxious but it would in this case also keep him from blurting out the answers that she wanted of him. At least he hoped so.

A small frown crossed Runa's lush lips, her brows furrowing in dismay as Azrai'iel reproached her.
"It hurts me that you would doubt me," the words were practically a whimper, her eyes falling to the ground as she twirled a long strand of hair in one finger, like a rejected, lovelorn teenager. "And here, I had come to let you all out of this dismal storage room."
Her eyes raised again, looking to the reproachful one's eyes, then to Uaithne, a small, coy smile curving on her lips. It amused her that this particular boy felt something akin to excitement of a female in his current circumstance, and she couldn't help but to giggle. Had she been with them one at a time, she was sure he'd have been butter in her hands.
"Of course I never knew your names, dearest, but I would very much like to," she purred, her hands tracing the outer edges of the iron bars. "Nor did the researchers who brought you up to me, they only watched for the signs, listened for the warnings....and then came to me, telling of possible infections which may have spread. You don't want to end up like the poor reaper at your lovely little ball, do you?" She reached a hand through the bars, stroking a feather-like finger down Uaithne's cheek.

Mia's ears perked up as Sin stepped forward. "Ah, that's great, Sin!" the witchling cried, eyes sparkling with excitement. Whatever was in that bottle seemed like it could really help them out in this bind. Maybe they would be able to do something about their situation after all! As Mia stepped over to talk to the skunk mononoke about it, though, they were all interrupted as their captors returned. Turning to see them, the most enchanting woman was at their center, having caught them right in the middle of their meager attempts to escape the cell. Strangely, instead of feeling angry or defiant at having been exposed attempting to escape, Mia felt oddly ashamed or embarrassed, like a child being caught with their hand in the cookie jar.
Snapping out of what seemed like a daze to her, Mia quickly looked at Sin, who was still holding the acidic potion. Trying to make eye contact with her, the bobcat mononoke gave a small shake of her head while moving slightly in front of the girl. It would be better for her to conceal the potion in case they had the chance to use it later. She had moved in front of her in order to try and block the girl from sight slightly, just in case the woman was watching her because of the potion. She had to do what she could to protect the other girl - they could really only rely on each other now.
Turning her attention back to the beautiful woman, Mia's eyebrow furrowed. What danger could they all possibly be in? Unless there were some Majin here, then yes, they would most definitely be in danger, but Mia and the other mononoke, at the very least, weren't Majin, so what could this woman be talking about? Infection? What infection? And how did the disastrous ball have anything to do with this? Yet as Mia thought this, she began to feel calmed and comforted. Surely they had been brought here for a reason, and their treatment had probably only been a precaution. Yes, all she had to do was trust this woman and tell her her name....
The witchling snapped out of her train of thoughts, mouth half open to speak, when the platinum haired witch who had pioneered the escape effort spoke, rather abruptly, too, although he seemed mortified afterward. He had managed to maneuver his bonds into a better position, though, and Mia's and possibly some of the others' were at least weakened. Glancing around her, Mia bit her lip, realizing something was off, but she didn't know what. If only she could focus a little bit more. Despite some misgivings deep in her gut, Mia made a decision. Even if they were to get hurt, being rude or obstinate would only speed the process or make it worse, and they certainly weren't making it any farther in their attempt to break out now. Either way, they all needed more knowledge, and perhaps the best way to get that would be to comply. The woman certainly seemed kind enough, and certainly sorry for what they'd been put through. There couldn't be too much harm in just telling them her name, right? At the very least, it would draw any remaining attention off Sin, the boy who was now being enticed, and the other silent captives. Yes, everything would be just fine once she spoke...
"Mia." The girl blinked after the soft sentence, as if surprised at her own quiet voice. It was almost as if someone else had spoken using her voice without her own knowledge. After the second of surprise, Mia cleared her throat and spoke again, meeting the woman's eyes, her voice stronger but still reserved. "My name is Mia...miss."

((oh, geez, I'm awful. Az isn't free; I'm so sorry, Starless! He doesn't have enough power to free himself because of the wards on the wall. I fixed my post if you want to read what he did! The sad thing is, I physically tested it to see if it'd work xD but apparently, I just wrote it down in my imagination!))
At the simpering words of the vision before him, Azra'iel felt a growing, all-encompassing panic at the idea of displeasing her. But at the same time, something else was urging him to move away from the edge of the cage. He did so, backing away from the bars slowly, as Runa stroked the cheek of the green-haired boy next to him; still feeling as though his body was obeying the command of someone else.
Once he was a bit further from the aura of power the woman was exuding, the young witch suddenly felt the reassuring brush in his mind that he had come to associate with his partially-summoned familiar. Mentally reaching to draw her forward where he could use her power, Azra'iel was surprised at how faint her spirit felt.
'Shad'ya?'
There was, for once, silence. Usually, Shad'ya was somewhat obnoxious, taunting the young witch for mishandling situations. But currently, he could barely feel her presence and even what was there was fading fast. Before the spirit of his familiar disappeared entirely, he heard her words tickle his mind like a near-forgotten memory.
'Be on your guard, Azra'iel. The wards there are strong... I do not have the power to assist you again.'
Then the fleeting whisper of her touch was gone. He was on his own, now.
Wary champagne eyes refocused and watched the mysterious woman outside the bars speaking of freeing the captives, of the ball he longer to forget, and an infection she did not much elaborate upon. One of the others, a nearby witching girl standing somewhat protectively in front of what appeared to be a skunk mononoke, spoke softly, offering her name and the green-haired boy Azra'iel had moved away from appeared completely entranced by Runa's touch.
Surprised to find his back against the wall, the light witch took a deep breath. Well. Shad'ya had done what she could for him, so he lingered as far back as the cage would allow, determined to keep to himself and listen as long as possible. He somehow doubted it would be very long.

Kalypso had backed herself into a corner of the cell she was in and planted herself on the ground. She had drawn her legs up to the chest and tried to make herself as small as she could.
She listened to the others talking about teying to find a way to escape. One of them was talking about trying to get free or get their hands free. Kalypso wasn't so sure that that was possible with the wards on the wall. She glanced at Uaithine and her other friends. She knew she had to be brave for them. She blamed her family expecailly her mother and nana for her being such a wimp. Growing up she was taught that girls shouldn't fight that that was what a man was suppose to do.
Kalypso sat up quckly when she saw a woman enter the room and tried to explain why everyone was being held captured. She didn't say anything to the girl especially when the girl asked them for their names. Kalypso stuck her nose up in the air. Kalypso wasn't going to say a word to the girl.
When the girl had brushed her hand over Uaithine's cheek Kalypso started to feel anger. How dare she put her hands on one of her friends like... like that. And in that manner.

Giving Athir a small smile again she wanted to try and help him, even if it was just to show support. But before she had the chance the captors had come back in accompanied by others. Twisting to stand up Cedar watched as the woman touched Uaithine after hearing Azra'iel.
She was happy to see even Kaylpso was snuffing this woman. "Excuse me, but who exactly made you the almighty creator and gave you the right to kidnap us, and determine our lives?" It was becoming very apparent that whoever this woman was, was out of control. She had some motif here that wasn't looking good for any of them.
Researchers that could tell signs of some infection. What kind of researches were that? Apparently the checks and balances of the natural order weren't equal. But this wasn't the way to handle it. Cedar took a couple steps forward her heart was pounding, it was the first time in a long time that she felt such anger, and even now there was little she could actually do about it.

Uaithne's eyes went a little wide as the girl said that she was feeling hurt that everyone was doubting her, that she had come here to let them out... a part of him felt bad for making her look so sad and rejected, though another part of him wondered if she were just teasing them. Hard to tell but it was also hard for him to think badly of her, he just really couldn't think ill of a woman since they were always so,well, nice. Something that would likely come back to bite him in the backside were he not careful. Regardless of the potential danger he couldn't stop himself as he said, "My name is Uaithne." It was rather impossible to stop himself, as thought he thought maybe introducing himself might make the woman look a little less dejected.
At the mention of an infection though his brilliant green eyes went rather wide and introductions were suddenly the last thing on his mind, "T-There is an infection?" He found himself asking in a hushed, shocked tone of voice. They didn't want to end up like the Reaper from the ball? He remembered that guy, it had been rather terrifying to see him rampaging about, even going as far as to take a heart from one of the party guests. That was from an infection? What sort of infection would cause someone to go insane like that? Some sort of mental disordered? Another question that came to mind was why the researchers she'd mentioned brought them up... was it because they had been at the ball? Or was it other reasons. There was so much that he wanted to ask, so many questions that came to mind, and each and everyone one of them went straight of of mind when the woman reached out to him and brushed a hand against his cheek. The witchling's cheeks turned a dark shade of red and he swallowed hair, "Ahh..." He tried to come up with an intelligent thought, but it would appear that he failed.
He likely would have remained there a bit slack jawed were it not for Mia and Cedar's voices seeming to break through his momentary daze, allowing him to recall himself, where he was, and what was going on. It took everything he had but he took a step back, breaking the contact between himself and Runa before swallowed hard. Wow... that was... embarrassing he thought to himself, cheeks still alight with a bright blush.

Runa smiled. It wasn't a jovial smile, or a cruel one, but simply a smile, empty of all meaning and emotion. Colorless eyes drifted under hooded eyes towards the outspoken girl, and Runa stood to her full height, fingers trailing along the bars. "My, my," she purred, an amused look crossing her face. "I govern this organization that protects you from those who might cause you harm, or take your life. We do the dirty work the knights don't, can't, or won't. Determining your lives is something we do on a daily basis. Without us, you'd be on the menu for the next Witch Eater who decided it was hungry." She turned her approving gaze back to her underlings, smiled, and continued.
"Majins can't help what they are. Neither can a tiger who yearns for the flesh of man to survive. They are what they are, but that doesn't change that they, given the chance, would devour us. The reason you are here is that the tiger has become rabid, spreading its infection through its bite. Those who have been fed upon are in danger....even if you don't realize it, you may become like the poor reaper at your ball. It spreads from feeding majin like a plague, eating your sanity, warping you to hunger for hearts. It has been...a most grieving study, and that is why we are here to help you...Even against your will."

"It has been...a most grieving study, and that is why we are here to help you...Even against your will." He could almost feel the hair on the back of his neck standing on end. That statement was ominous; all parts of it.
Azra'iel was not sure what to believe.
He did not trust this woman; the famed, mystery-shrouded leader of the Reaper Organization, and did not wish to believe her words...but she injected enough truths to make any lies she wanted to add palatable. He had been at the ball she spoke of before leaving school; had been feet away from the battle and it remained one of the most horrifying things he had ever seen. His friend and date for the evening, Ruria, had been so inspired by the events she had gone on to pass her Grave of Fairies trial shortly thereafter to pursue training as a Reaper. Azra'iel had not been so certain that that was the direction to take then and he certainly would not wish to take it now. He had been unsure what direction to continue his training and had just been stumbling along to help his poor familiar manifest. But after this? Being kidnapped, shackled, and now possibly to be "cured" all against his will? Perhaps the Cerberus Knights were right to keep an eye on these so-called protectors, and perhaps that was where he could feel at home. If he survived this ordeal intact, anyway.
Ironic that the beauty before him should speak of rabid tigers. The light witch rather felt that was how she herself ought to be handled; with all the respect he could muster and even more caution. A name, she had asked for a simple name, and he could probably give her that without too much repercussion. Perhaps he could word his statement well enough to get at least a bit more information on their fates in return; or at the very least draw more attention himself so that the more outspoken of their little band would not suffer anything just yet. The light in the room was meager at best and the wards quite strong, but he drew as much of that light energy into himself as he could, knowing his eyes would now glow golden from the shadow he had taken refuge in. But it was all he could think to do. Almost everyone in the room was more powerful than he was at full-strength, but having the security of a tiny bit of power to tap into was reassuring; considering he felt what he was about to do was terribly reckless.
"Please, ah..." Azra'iel cleared his throat nervously, "Please forgive my earlier abruptness, madam. It has been a rather trying few hours for us and perhaps fear of the unknown has us lashing out unnecessarily. My name is Azra'iel Einar," if he was going be brash, might as well go for broke...perhaps she would have reason to remember his name some day. With an internal, sardonic, and self-directed smirk, he continued slowly. "You mentioned possibly releasing us? If I may be so bold, where are we going now? Somewhere to quarantine this...infection?"

While everyone else had seemed to meekly obey like the cattle they wanted them to be, Chanda had remained the stubborn tiger that she was, sitting inside the carriage, glowering and growling at her captors. The only movement that came from her happened when Cruor had forcefully grabbed her and carried her out, and even then that movement wasn’t a forward one, but rather a side to side sort of thrashing as she tried to make him lose his grip on her. Alas, but not surprising in the slightest, she lost that fight, and eventually sulked her way along with the rest of the witches and witchlings.
The next struggle came when they motioned her to go in the iron cage, though this was more of an internal one than a physical one. She had stopped at the entrance with a low growl, heels dug into the ground as every muscle fiber in her body screamed at her to fight back, to not be entrapped…but the other witchlings were so close to her. Too close. If her captors had decided to turn violent they surely would have been injured in the process. So in Chanda went, fur bristling, ears sunken low, and tail swishing madly with each step.
Rather than be up against the infernal bars of her prison, the tiger mononoke sank into a dark corner, bright blue eyes observing everything they could. Interactions between her captors, her fellow prisoners, any particular odd or weak looking points in the walls or floor…
The sudden slam of the door as the blackhearts and reapers left snapped her from her concentration. “They…left?” she thought, confused. There was a small spark of hope and elation as the others immediately began to talk and work at escape but it was suddenly extinguished by mounting suspicions. Why in the world would they leave them unattended? Even with the runes limiting their magic it was a foolish, careless thing to do and, if Chanda knew one thing, these people weren’t either.
Expectantly, the door quickly opened again and a new face came before them. She spoke in soft, sweet tones and her honeyed words seemed to seep inside her, quietly beckoning her to relax. And she did…for about a minute or so. The positive side of having been in the wild for so long was that she was raised more by Nature than humans and, Nature being the harshest mother there is, taught her that those who relax around possible danger, die. They become the meal of the hunters, the victims of disaster, the unfortunates of fate.
And besides, Chanda never really like sweet things anyways.
Digging down deep to connect with her tiger there was a pang of panic as she felt cold emptiness where there was once a warm, soft, breathing beast. Rather than paying attention to the new woman and all the alarms she was setting off, Chanda found herself breathing a bit too fast and shallow as she frantically tried to find her beast. She dug deeper and deeper, and when that failed, tried to force some sort of change. Teeth, claws, something, anything! But nothing came.
Panic quickly turned to anger and her eyes fell on the woman again. The perfect target for her rage and yet…yet here she was relaxing again. Just watching her steadied her breathing and slowed her pulse. The anger was soothed away by her delicate fingers and her soft, alluring scent. Even her beast, which had seemingly disappeared, seemed to respond to the sight and smell of her and stirred groggily. Despite the distraction Runa’s presence made, Chanda quickly closed her eyes took hold of her inner tiger and held her close, spiritually bathing in the warmth of her feline form but being careful to remain human on the outside.
“Right,” she told herself mentally, “that’s enough of that.” With a link to her animal form she finally felt steady enough to actually pay attention to what was going on around her (rather than, you know, spazzing in a dark corner). This time when she looked at Runa, she pooled all her strength into resisting the soft cooing inside of her skull and the instinct to simply roll over and let the woman do with her as she pleased. It became easier when she spoke again, as her talk about man-eating rabid tigers instantly offended every bone in Chanda’s body.
“How dare you,” she snarled right through Az’s question and then looked rather…surprised that she had spoken those words aloud. Also she appeared to have moved out of her corner and up closer to the bars. When had that happened? “Never mind, you started something, now you need to finish it,” Chanda chided herself mentally for showing indecision and thus, weakness, so blatantly.
“Tigers only eat men when they are starving and have no other option and even then, most of us…them…starve rather than risking such a thing. The only rabid, infectious, man-eater to pose a threat to people are monsters. Monsters like you.” Chanda glared hard at Runa, Cruor, Sibelius, and every other reaper and blacheart in the room before returning to Runa. “If even the gods and goddesses do not touch our free will, if they let us make our own path even if it is not the best or safest, even if it kills us, then who are you to lay claim to it? Who are you to place yourself above the divine and to attempt to make people into your own personal toys no less?” Chanda’s nails turned into claws as she ranted at Runa, all the while her voice rumbled with the angered growl of her tiger.
Logic said that this was going to get her hurt, if not killed, but logic had left the building a long time ago. Chanda was nothing more than a ball of white hot rage now.
(Vitty gave me the a-okay to have Cruor drag Chanda's butt in XD Also sorry about the long backtracking post. IRL ate me and I really want to stay with the meta this time @@ )

The skunk mononoke smiled as Mia came over. First she examined the other girl's bonds to see if there was a way to stretch out her potions use. Sin was glad to be of use and was about to pop open the vial when the female's voice spoke ever so softly. In an almost instant reaction she let go of the vial and it dropped into a small pocket in her sleeve. She just hoped the stopper wouldn't come out while it was there, that would be painful.
"Um...I'm Scentana..." she said ever so softly to the woman. The woman's voice almost made her violet eyes droopy with compliance but the reactions of the others quickly popped her out of her stupor. Especially the tiger girl. Sin looked over Mia's shoulder at her as the girl exploded, must be a tiger thing. Then she thought all the mononokes were suffering extreme stress from being in this cage, no animal liked to be confined against it's will. All of them were struggling against their animal nature in this prison.
But the woman spoke of an infection. Sin didn't feel sick and she would hardly be allowed in the bakery should she be contagious. But this seemed to be more of a magic sickness. As the woman talked a sinking feeling hit the mononoke. She had an idea of how she could have been exposed...but it was a scary thought. Her mind turned to the orange potion hidden in one of her pockets.
It was her only real magically made potion. All the others were chemical reactions, even the rash one. Each had certain oils or powders that caused the effects. But the orange one....she had used her magic to create that one. Sin didn't use it often, as she was unsure of it's effects. But she had needed something to protect herself. Now it seemed a foolish act to have practiced making the potion, for now she could have opened herself up.

Something dangerously sweet flickered across the gentle face, within those colorless eyes at Chanda's words. Runa's lips parted and a serene chuckle escaped her lips. "You believe me to be a monster, dear? I don't think you know the true meaning of the word 'monster'. The meaning of such would be easy to see by simply looking in a mirror, should you become sickened with the majin's curse." A sudden nonchalant coolness passed over her eyes as she crossed her arms over her chest, her gaze straying towards another iron cage that was covered with a dark cloth. Runa casually made her way to it, tugging the cloth off.
The moment she did, a loud ruckus began as the inhabitant of the cage began throwing itself -- himself -- violently against the bars, almost inhuman noises gargling from his throat. "Feed.... I want to feed on all of them.... nowwOOOwwOOW." he moaned, practically salivating as he reached an arm desperately through the bars, towards the witches and witchlings in the far cell. Loud roaring moans and groans continued from him as Runa returned. "That is a monster. That is what you, any of you, could and will become from interacting with Majin. They can feed on you without your knowledge, without your permission, and their curse will slip into you, and change you into that." The corner of her mouth twitched suddenly, and she flung a hand out in front of her, the sound of iron bars bending and moaning and snapping as they contorted deafening any other sound in the room. "Is that what you want to be!? Is that what you want your precious friends, your family, to become?!" her voice had risen dangerously after shredding the bars that separated herself and the captives, freeing them, or opening them up to more danger, it was hard to decide.
"So tell me," her voice had returned to the comforting purr it had been before. "Which ones in your group...are the Majins."
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★✰
Sibelius winced as Runa withdrew the cloth from their latest poor-soul. The man hadn't had the chance to eat any hearts, lacking the ability a reaper or blackheart held, but it hadn't saved him from turning into a bloodthirsty monster. There had been no way to save him, not after he had the taste...
The man sighed in exasperation at the outcries from the captives. He listened to the roaring and rumbling for a while before let out a low growl, getting his piece in. "Nobody here is trying to hurt anybody," he said, taking several steps forward. The expression on his face was sincere, his words echoing his feelings. "Poena Privus has kept you and your families safe for decades, safe from witch eaters who would otherwise mercilessly kill you in your sleep. The knights can't do s**t for you, being the royal dogs they are. It's because of us that you are safe!"
People disgusted him. Once, the position of hero had been his, somewhere else. Hero....the one who protected everyone, whose strength never faltered, whose courage knew no limits. Heroes were the toys. Not the pathetic people they protected, and he had learned that the hard way. One single person could never know what was for the greater good, for the benefit of them all. "You lot are enough to make me sick," he growled. "Not even willing to lend yourselves for simple bloodtests that could possibly save your friends and family from becoming that." he motioned toward the raving monster of a man in the cage opposite them.

She governed this place? He wasn't sure why it surprised him so but somehow it did... she was in charge. Maybe it was because she'd seemed so kind that it was hard to see her in charge of the men that had dragged them all here in bindings perhaps? She claimed that her people were protecting them in ways the knights wouldn't, and that without them they would be prey to the Witch Eaters. All of that may well be true, he couldn't say he had any knowledge of the inner workings or either organization, but even so he thought this going a little too far. To take a bunch of people off the street without permission or even a reason why until much later seemed extreme to him.
What she said next had his eyes going a bit wide, comparing the Majin to tigers yearning for the flesh of men to survive... it was a harsh sort of comparison, it wasn't as though some of them were malicious in their intent, but then again not everyone of them were innocent either. Shifting in place he lifted his hand and started to chew on his thumb nail as he did when he was anxious. Her comparison seemed only to get worse though, going from Majin being tigers to them being rabid tigers, ones that spread infection by feeding... an infection that could lead people to act in the same manner as that man that had turned that pleasant ball into a nightmare that he'd just wanted to flee from when it was all over. It was the last thing he wanted to do, to cause any sort of harm to any of his friends, many of whom were here with him now.
The witch near to him started to speak, something he didn't quite catch because he was buried so deep in his own thoughts, but he found himself glancing over toward him and caught the last bit, asking what they where they were going now, to a quarantine. The idea was one he didn't care for, it meant being locked up even more securely didn't it? And wouldn't that mean that they would likely be split up? Further thought was interrupted for a moment as suddenly a rather displeased mononoke, a tiger from the looks of her and one that had been insulted by Runa's earlier comparisons at that, spoke her mind. She was a lot braver then Uaithne felt himself, calling the woman and her subordinates out, referring to them as the monsters for what they were doing. The tiger girl was not happy, not at all, and she wasn't too weak to express that which made Uaithne shift in place, wishing he were as brave as the others were... though at the moment, bound and surrounded, what would it do to be brave? A part of him just wanted to step back into the shadows and hope to blend in well enough that he wouldn't be noticed.
He was distracted from that desire though when Runa told the tiger that she didn't know the meaning of the word monster and was kind enough to introduce the group of them to one. A gasping sound escaped from the green haired witchling as the cloth was removed from a cage he hadn't noticed before, having been to caught up in what was going on with their group, and the one inside of the cage started to slam against the bars of it and howl about his desire to feed on them. That was a monster, another like at the ball, caused by his kind feeding on others. It was just as she said, he did it all the time, sneaking bits of magic here and there at school, doing so during times when everyone was gathered in larger groups so that he didn't have to take from a single person... he'd always thought if he just nicked bits here and there that it would be fine, he wasn't taking enough to weaken any one person, right? Instead he was putting a greater number of people at risk to feed himself, wasn't he? When she asked if that was what he wanted his precious friends to become he felt a rather so guilty. That wasn't what he wanted at all...
The bars had been left opened so easily by her hands and she seemed to want only one thing of them at the moment, to know who the Majin in the group were. He glanced around for a moment, recalling how many times in his life his Grannie had told him never to tell anyone what he was, to keep it a closely guarded secret, that there were those out there who hated Majin and would kill them for just being what they were. Now he understood why... swallowing hard the green haired boy took a step forward, "I... it's me... so please, just go easy on my friends... they didn't know." He murmured, hating the feeling that the admission left behind in him, to actually say he was a Majin at the moment wasn't something he wanted, not with all she saying about how horrible his kind were. Still, if he could help everyone else here, his friends and those he didn't know both, he would confess.

Cedar was inwardly growling at the woman. Like hell if she care who she was. Sure Cedar did understand what the organization did, and yes Runa was right in that. But there were things that were taken over the line. As far as she was concerned there was no unequivocal proof that any of this was going to happen to every single one of them. If there was, something else would be done, not something shady, behind the scenes like this.
As Cedar opened her mouth one of the other tiger mononoke spoke up, and she was glad was of that. She was glad she wasn't the only one that felt that way and silently supported the girl. That woman was a monster no matter what she said, she was disgusting inside. But when the sheet came off the cage the young witch couldn't help but jump from the surprise. She was never good with handling surprises like that. Her olive eyes bore into the person in the other cage. It was scary, but Cedar wouldn't let the two cases that have recently occurred in the many clean years that have passed disturb her, or unhinge her from her beliefs.
But things took a turn when Uaithne stepped up and said he was a Majin. Her heart skipping a beat, she stepped toward him. He was her friend no matter what, and just like should have done for the others she stood beside him. She swallowed hard, her eyes glancing at the boy, remembering their walk in the woods when they had first met. Her voice low and meant only for him. "You know I won't let them take you without going through me first."
Yes it was a rather futile effort but what kind of person would she be if she ignored what she believed in and willing let someone hurt a person she cared about. Someone that helped make her life worth it.

Kalypso was only half listening to what everyone was saying. Some of them were actally telling the woman their name. And some of them were arguing with her. Kalypso closed her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose. She just wanted to go home. She also wanted her friends to come with her.
She opened her eyes to see Runa pull a cloth off a cage. "What the.." Kalypso nearly jumped out of her skin. She putted her hands to her chest and sat down to take a deep breath.
Then the woman started to bring up Majin's. Kalypso shaked her head. Not all majin were bad. When the woman demanded to know who was the majin in the group and Uaithine stepped up Kalypso jumped to her feet.
"No. He's lying. He's trying to be a hero and save everyone. I'm the Majin. I'm the one that you want."
Kalypso had gotten over to where Uaithine was and stepped in front of him putting her hands on the bar and looking at Runa.
