"Yeah, we appreciate it," Harrison said, fishing around in his bag for the manual Clarice had mentioned.
He thumbed through it briefly before standing up and sticking it in his back pocket. He rooted through the bag for anything else of immediate interest, then grinned at Jordan.
"Hey, you're heading back to the bunks, right?" He held the bag up hopefully. But before he could get a response, something seemed to occur to him, and he turned one last time to Clarice.
"Oh! Uh, before I go. ...Is Edith in my division?"

Clarice's smile wavered, just a bit, and she wasn't quite sure if it was the offer for help or the ma'am that got to her. "Um...thanks, you just, take care, kay?" Of them. Of yourself. The question about Edith provided a small relief, "Yeah, Edith Carr, your division leader. You've probably seen her a few times, she uses a baseball bat."

Harrison's expression darkened slightly at that news.
Edith. Their Division Leader. And he had seen her, maybe, but the fight on the island had been chaotic and he'd been focused on keeping Jordan alive. He seemed to forget he was holding the bag.
"I'll talk to her," was all he ended up saying. "And you don't have to worry. I'll take good care of your office. ...We'll see you when you get back."

Clarice bit her lips and shifted restlessly in her seat for a moment before finally giving in and getting up to give Harrison a big...encouraging pat on the back. "Yeah, I..." she answered tightly, "...I know you will. Take good care of yourself too, kay?"

Harrison straightened, puffing his chest and doing his best to look tall and impressive. "Don't worry about that either. I got those bandages just like you said. By the time you're finished we'll have the facility cleared out again." He smiled. "And I'll uh- the other stuff- uh, yeah, I'll - that too."
