Eisheth was really curious about the Weeping forest: there was nothing like this on the Famine, and being fascinated with the plants, she could not miss the opportunity to study them closer. Old trees, huge and gnarly, were perfect, just perfect! "Hm... where do they get water? How are they able to exist in such a landscape... it's pretty cold here. What kind of insects live inside? There should be some kind of moths and slugs, since the bark looks digged..." "Hey!" the alchemist summoned her tiny famine vaisel. It was fast, little and swift enough to fit into the hole Eisheth noticed on the nearest tree. The vaisel quickly jumped into and soon returned with no insects; Eisheth was really disappointed. However, the vaisel brought her a bit of a dry moss.. perhaps, it will be useful later. Putting the moss in the bag, the alchemist raised her head and noticed a familiar figure nearby. No doubts. " Hey!", she addressed to Faiyum. " So you survived, as well! Have to admit, I'm happy to see you here.. alive". She attempted to smile. There were not so many alchemists remaining, and in her opinion Faiyum was one of the best dealing with plants. So, having him here would really be helpful. ((BAG: Dry Moss x1))

Yuzhi let out an unimpressed sound at the Giant's first set of words to her, "Wasn't aware you were knew the inner workings of the mad and depraved - both of which I am not a member of no matter how much you are inclined to say I am."
Organizing her finds Yuzhi mostly was content to ignore the Giant for the time being until she spoke up again to his newest tidbit of 'wisdom', "Would you kindly pardon me, I wasn't aware that I was not working hard enough for you, Master of War, perhaps I should seek out more than four stone slabs to your," her eyes flicked over at him as if observing his finds, "Oh. I see. ZERO. I am not worried about my clothes becoming dirty. They will wash just as everything else will," She did nothing more to prove her point. Her tone didn't sound angry as much as it was to-the-point with him.
"I am very sorry if my decision to not roll up my sleeves and allow them to be dirtied offended you so badly, Giant. I shall try to refrain in the future if I remember." She snorted lightly.

Tseng felt that he had picked up just about all he could. Moving back towards the others, he paused as he overheard the queen's soldier explain what her issue was. "Alas, I have not seen the one you described. But fret not. She could still be around!" he said, trying to keep up a hopeful spirit. However, he couldn't help but feel that it might be a little futile. Their numbers had been cut down so drastically as of late. They all had lost so much. Though, it was about then that he heard the large war warrior make a snip towards his sister. "HEY! Watch your tongue," he said, sounding a little huffy. It was a little hard to look intimidating though when he was much shorter, and when he was busy carrying his stone slabs. Shikoba arched a brow in response at the lengthier than normal retort the short one had for him. He supposed he might have gone a bit far, given that the scholar was indeed in possession of quite a few things, but . . . the attitude turned off any attempt he might have made at amending his comments. "I'd advise watching hers," he told the horned horseman as the other stepped in, Shikoba's expression as smooth as ever as he plucked more leaves off the ground. "A suggestion was all I gave."((OH GOD DAMN IT EDITED THE WRONG POST)) Shikoba's Bag x1 minipet bones x2 wispy leaves x2 moss x1 pine needles

Zhi was ready to search now, her robes suitably secured back and out of the way. It wouldn't do for her to end up tripping over them if something serious occurred after all. She caught sight of the tall War Horseman gesturing at her once (at her robe-tying, apparently), and found her attention being pulled to the two (her fellow Conquest Clanswoman and the very, very tall War member) who were arguing. She was trying not to eavesdrop on the conversation between them, despite being apparently the catalyst for at least some part of their conversation. It wasn't working very well.
They were pretty much all in a circle around Radha after all, so it was practically impossible to miss their exchanging of words.
The artisan wasn't sure how she felt about the situation, to be honest. What had the War horseman done to arouse such contention? Not knowing the situation, Zhi was stuck between feeling pride for the Scholar defending her honor, and being disgruntled since she was not aware of who was at fault for starting the confrontation in the first place. Zhi wanted to automatically side with her kinsman, but now was not the time for such. Plus, she still wanted to ask that War member about the paint he wore.
Anyway, they had much more important things to be doing than arguing, like finding the lost Queen's Soldier.
She brushed a nearby tree, an eyebrow raising in surprise when she realized how adhesive the sap oozing from it was. She quickly scooped some up with some of the bark she'd collected earlier.
It seemed she wouldn't have to intervene much though, between those two arguing. Another Conquest member, one who looked to be an Imperial Soldier, had stepped up to defend the Scholar's honor as well. She gave him a nod, out of respect for his position, and then spoke up, after the War man had, in some attempt to cool the contention between her clanspeople and the War member. "Perhaps all this, ah, energy could be better spent in search for the lost one, don't you think?" There was nothing to be gained out of arguing, so perhaps she could direct their confrontation to a more practical use?

Her temper flailing back downward after Tseng's interruption she glanced at him and offered a bit of a smile, "everything is fine, Brother. Things are bad enough from me behaving all riled up in the first place."
Her pale gold eyes glanced at her fellow conquest clansman and she pursed her lips a bit, "I assure you I have the energy to both look for someone as well as to give this Giant a piece of my mind if is apparently so eager for it."
Now she stared at the War Giant and just stood up just a bit straighter, "As for you, well, Mother and Father often advised me to not take advice from nameless strangers for they may not always know what is truly best for me and might, in fact, be out to harm me. Mayhap if I had a name I could consider you friend. Just so you cannot come back at me about my not having given you my name I shall give you mine to start us off, I am Jiang Yuzhi. You may call me Yuzhi if you so desire."
Honestly, she was trying to be nice. Alas she was coming off a bit sharper than she meant to be. Ol-j-man (AUGH WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING.) Trira (I apologize in advance for Yuzhi XD)

Xio still was not happy about the fact that she had to go out and scavenge. She walked around the woods and looked down at the ground. When this was over she would really need a nice hot bath and had to get her nails down again. She stopped when she saw some bones on the floor. She got down on her hunches and closed her eyes. They were the bones of minipets. The poor things. She didn't know how this could happen and hoped that they didn't die a bad death. She took out the bag she had and puted some of the bones in it. She didn't know why but maybe they could use the bones. Quote: Items list 1x wispy leaves 1x bones of dead minipets

Zhi listened, her head tipped slightly when the other Clanswoman spoke much softer to the other of their clan. Ahh, siblings? Zhi was at once glad that a family from her clan had not been completely separated. Perhaps if she appealed to that point, they could avoid further confrontation...?
When the Scholar looked in her direction, Zhi caught the slight frustration in the other's expression. Ah, so the War member was the one who had started this section of their argument? What was it that he had done...? "Ahh, I see. If he had wronged you, I suppose it is reasonable to rectify the situation..?" Zhi was trying not to pick sides. She really was. However, without all the information, she was just trying not to spread any accusations. It was a bit challenging since she naturally wanted to side with her fellow Conquest member and help protect her honor.
All in all, Zhi didn't know how to respond or feel at this exact moment. So, taking a moment, she looked to the ground, finding some rather thick branches there. For lack of a better action to take, she scooped them up with the rest of her finds.
The Scholar's words did make sense, although there was some bite to them. Perhaps introductions all around would help? They were all one clan now, as well, so contention right off the bat was bound to be a bad sign. How to fix, how to fix...? In the end, the only thing she could think of saying was, "Perhaps introductions all around would be useful? As we will be working together, most likely, to find the lost one, surely it would be a boon if we knew one another." She gave a slight bow to Yuzhi as she introduced herself, in the proper Conquest way as well, and then looked back to the others. Just in case some had not been around when she'd first spoken to Radha she said, "Again, I am Zhang Zhi, but just Zhi is acceptable."
She was trying to help, really.

Lee Tseng and his sister Yuzhi. "Horns are always good thing but, some from the line do not always have them," like Mengyao, "though it does not make them lesser. Just a bit out of place. It is..lucky you have your sister here with you." The loss was fresh, the wounds just under the skin still bleeding. She listened to the banter and chuckled softly to herself. "Lady Yuzhi was it?" Lan bowed. "Lan. You shouldn't let a war brute's opinion worry you so, they do not understand us more often than not. " Smiling, she felt a tug at her clothes again, the makini wanting to show her what it found. "Would you like to join me for a game of diplomacy later once we are done here?" The one called Lan was right: he didn't understand them. But as the artisan had pointed out, their energy was better spent finding his kinsman's sister, and so for now he simply brushed off the "brute" comment; he'd been called worse from people he cared to know. "Shikoba Len," the giant said simply after a moment of gazing at the Conquest horsemen he had somehow found himself surrounded by, and then pushed past a few of the trees to investigate the strange colored ground there. Experimental digging found clay beneath the surface, and though it was rough he supposed it could be of use somehow: cementing maybe, or to create new art.
Diplomacy as a game? Shik almost snorted as he imagined two horsemen simply talking things out over some imagined problem. Only the high-nosed Conquestmen would find that entertaining.Shikoba's Bag x1 minipet bones x2 wispy leaves x2 moss x1 pine needles x1 simple clay

Tseng looked from his sister, to the other conquest people, then to Shikoba, and sighed. Alright. His sister had this down. Yeah. She got this.
"Lee Tseng," he said to add in his name to the circle of introductions. He bowed lightly as he did so.
Turning towards Lan, he smiled and nodded. There was no point in making a fuss over horns or no horns really.

She glanced at Lan and returned the bow just a bit lower than the one the Noble had given her - it was acceptable given the ranking between them - and offered a small but strained smile, "While his words are not the most informed it does not mean he is a brute he, like the rest of us, have some learning to do in respects to each other's culture," she felt guilty now, oddly enough, that the Giant was having not just one Conquest clan member but four of them all converging around him. It felt unfair and unbalanced and so she just let the tall Horseman be other than standing up for just now. Yuzhi's smile relaxed a little bit, "I would be most honored, however, to play a game of diplomacy later Honorable Lady."
At least she knew the Giant's name now.
To Zhi she gave a bit of a smile, "It just so happened that he was just trying to test my temper, I am sure, it happens at times," she wanted to now try and diffuse this as quickly as possible before she embarrassed herself and Shikoba in the bargain.

"A beast? Thieves?" A short bark of laughter came from Radha as she shook her head. "We of War rode every beast that prowled our lands, from the packs of wolves to the proud jaguars and small dragons. Thieves?" She shook her head, a harsh grin coming to her face. "I pity any thief that was foolish to get caught. War justice is not kind." The war horsewoman mimicked the bow Zhi gave, giving respect where respect was due. When she inquired about mounts, Radha was torn. She was visibly conflicted, torn between her loyalty to her sister and loyalty to the clan. She slowly shook her head. "Home -- War Isle -- it was... a jungle. This?" She spread her arms to gesture, indicating the surrounding forest. "It is odd. I do not know whether they will live, acclimate, die, or..." The touch on her shoulder made her tense, easing upon realizing who it was. "Thank you, War-brother." Her hand rose to salute him in a simple manner, hand curled into the mockery of claws to rest against her heart as she nodded to him in gratitude. "If she is here. Faiza... Faiza wanted to learn everything she could about this place." Radha looked skyward, frowning. "She means well, but sometimes..." She looked to the war horseman, giving him a small sad smile. "She's my sister, y'know? I... It was my duty to keep her out of trouble, and yet..." Radha fell silent, stirring upon hearing Fai's question. She raised her hand and pointed. "Wolf, that way. Then it came back and crossed the other way. It's too small to be one of our's, possibly a local one. I don't know whether it's a beast or one of Halloween's residents if it's true they can turn into them." The horsewoman shrugged. The tracks were as clear as day to her, however after spending days upon days with her sister learning to track them down it was second nature. As the horsemen resumed their search, Radha fell silent. She stirred and watched them, tensing. "I am truly sorry," she began, bowing her head. "I fear I have interrupted your duties like a fledgeling. Please forgive my transgression; I will partake my leave and continue searching for her."

High nosed indeed, Lan liked that game and the bets that could be made. She also liked winning. She smiled, nodding as her makini pawed at her briefly to run off again, ignored. "It will be nice to relax when all of this-" she motioned to the gathering "- is done with. I am... very much not suited to such tasks." A look of worry, helplessness. "I was to be my husband's wife. I was to keep the books and the home and-" She gasped realizing she'd become negative. "Pardon, I think I am still in a bit of shock. I have my skills though, and I try to use them where the are most useful." Shaking her head she saw the edges of her dress. "Though I think I shall need better garments." "Alchemist Eisheth," Fai said with a slight bow of his head. "I am glad to see another alchemist alive, as well." But it seemed his words were very carefully chosen, and after acknowledging her he looked back to the war female. "Finding a sibling is more important than finding sticks and leaves," he told her. "And until I can build a new place for my research, even what I have found will be used for little more than basics." Which meant--well, possibly his evaluation of the situation was a bit more logical than emotional when it came down to it. But as a Famine Alchemist, it was somewhat to be expected.
