Ai Leen If Saoszuc can, I'd like to nominate her as my choice for our General. She's the one who started this drive, and knowing her like I do, I believe she'd do very well in charge. Plus as a friend to Tanasha, she has the ability to keep the Guild Captain's interests in mind, even when Tanasha's not around. Oh, no you don't. Taking a page from the Rove/Cheney/Rumsfeld triumvirate and launching a preemptive strike? I don't think so. razz I hereby recuse myself from such an authoritative position, citing the fact that I get ten minutes at a time - tops - on Gaia (my larger posts are written beforehand) due to babyness. Further, I hereby nominate Ai Leen to the post of General. heart

No no, I'm quite probably the least most right person that you'd think of for this currently sweatdrop Not counting my flops with Revolutionary Dreams, and a few dying/dead WoW guilds I tried to start, I don't have much time (though more than 10 mins, granted). lol ...I can see this turning into a game of hot potato already sweatdrop

On the subject of defenses, I still favor using grounded warships and dropships as the basic templates. They're strong, they're self-sufficient, and in the event of a foothold event they can be sealed section by section. Additionally, modular designs with standardized parts can make for faster repairs and recovery after an attack - don't bother patching the hole, just disconnect the areas affected (broken into small blocks of rooms, not a significant portion of the structure) and replace them, then repair the old one for use as a spare.

Enough of the excuses though, I sincerely appolgize but do have about 23-30 pages of equipment stats ready to go up sometime by the end of the week... 4laugh

Ai Leen Checkpoint list as of May 01, 2006 Command structure (Check) Person-to-put-in-General-rank (Check! - Jason A. Delacroix) Rank system defined (Check) Define method to keep us from wandering the halls of our bases all day (Check) Define each branch's jurisdiction and operation parameters (Halfway there) Designate who leads which branch. (1/3rd of the way) Reorganize existing personnel for each branch into the new rank structure. (Nope) Redesign each branch's resources (operational HQ, fighters/capital ships/munitions etc) (not yet)
So I've given a lot of thought to the ASDF recently. I would like the jurisdiction and operational parameters of ASDF to include all mecha affairs (though power suits are Gaian Army territory). I'd like the history of this to basically be that the ASDF started as an air and space defense force, but has since expanded to all mecha affairs due to their heavy involvement and expertise with mecha. If the other two branches are willing to also take such a simplistic operational parameter model (GN: We handle all ship stuff, GA: We handle all personnel-level stuff) I think we can say we're done with this part of the list. From there, we can move on to the branch heads, then we can take it into each department of the GNG, reorganizing our personnel into the new rank system and redesigning the resources of that branch. Also, don't forget all the stuff Sao mentioned at the beginning of the thread. That's still our main objective....the points I'm making are just to help us get to the recruitment phase.

Saoszuc from first post Most threads are open-ended: that is, the thread has a general purpose ("this is the ASDF base"), but have no direction or "plot". To address this part, we need to create our opposing factions. I reaaaally don't expect us to actually be fighting the Galaban or Sushiperror's Imperial Fleet. sweatdrop

just something to add, the GA take cares of all personel stuff and armored personel/vehicles stuff (not including mecha)
Altough I believe the GA should handle the ground mecha also... but in any case Eep idea is good for me
