Sasha grunted indelicately as Jerry came to, rising to her feet before crossing her arms over her chest. "I'm fine," she assured the man, sighing. Psyched himself out? She shook her head. "You s-scared me, Jerry. You promised, remember?" Just as she had? Sasha gave Jerry a soft frown - one that could even, perhaps, be called a stern look - as Bix approached. A patrol? Sasha chewed on her lower lip while peering towards Jerry with worry. "I'm.. I can go," she offered as she rose to her feet, "but I d-don't know if Jerry's feeling well enough to go, really." Sasha smiled kindly in Molly's direction, briefly remembering the other trainee's lovely music. Upon Wash's arrival, Sasha immediately nabbed a cookie. Smiling graciously she took a bite... and immediately that gracious smile bloomed into something a little too.. happy. "In fact, I would love to go on a patrol with you and the others, Bix! It's hot outside but I just feel the need for some sunshine on my face, you know?"

If it was any sort of consolation, the twin centipede had been swiftly taken out by the rest of the group before he had even arrived through the portal. That spoke of ... efficiency and capability didn't it? Perhaps they did stand a chance of surviving after all ...
Even he knew he was just lying to himself...
<< Go and get some ressst >> Inez hissed. The mist trainee abided and headed towards the tents where the rest of the hunters and trainees were gathered, noticing the damage the others had taken during the fight.
<< If you're feeling guilty, why don't you head out and do the patrols then hmmm? >> she flat-toned, clearly understanding what was on Dillon's mind. It was the least he could do for now, covering the injured for patrol duty while they recovered. Without a word, he lifted the tent flap and headed back out again.

[Sydney's Entering!]
Sydney trailed in, feeling just fine and wondering what she needed to do next. She had managed to hit both of the centipede monsters once, and sure, she'd gotten puked on, but... well, she was starting to think it was a part of the job.
"Do we wipe this stuff off or something?" she asked curiously as she looked at the other hunters. "Or do we need to use something special to get it off?"

Wash turned to the others, still grinning. Gosh, he felt better than he had in ages- and it seemed like it was infectious. "Hey guys, before you go out, you should eat a little somethin'!" He shook the jar lightly. "Still got plenty left. No use patrolling on an empty stomach right?" Wash was on a mission, ok. As Sydney trailed in, he took in her centipede-puked figure just kept on smiling. "Got a little messy out there miss? I dunno about clean ups, I'm sure we got something 'round here, but make sure you get a bite to eat before you go!" He squinted at her, suddenly remembering her from somewhere... Oh! She was one of the girls who'd come to Jerry's choir try outs. She'd had a nice, strong voice, if he recalled correctly. OOC -Wash must now go around all the tents/ patrol areas and hand out cookies to trainees, one per trainee. None of them have really eaten anything since four hours ago, and food is food.... - Upon consuming, the cookies cause a temporary (24 OOC hours) status effect, one of general elevated happiness, similar to a milder form of joy. in general, the cookies invoke a sense of friendship, nostalgia, and possible the urge to do a lot of talking and hugging.

It took Rep a long time to actually move again. When he finally sat up he wiped his eyes only to realise he was not alone then to freeze and glance sidelong at Cass. But she didn't seem to be looking at him or expecting anything of him. He was grateful, though there was no way to say it without breaking the quiet.
So he said nothing, just let his own gaze drift out to the ocean of desert aswell.

Sydney looked up, her eyes lighting up at the sight of the cookies, and took one happily. "Thank you," she said seriously, nibbling on it as she started searching for a way to get cleaned up. It wasn't that she was hurt, or anything, she thought, her mood getting lighter without her noticing. "This cookie is delicious," she said as she went back to Wash. "Did you bake them? Can you tell me your recipe?" Oh, she would love to meet people that baked! They could get together and spend wonderful times in the kitchen-- Er... that she'd help blow up... Maybe it was fixed by now? She could only hope!

Bix had seen Julie and seen Wash and his cookies. He was not interested in taking one, not on a mission. "No thanks, Wash." But then he felt eyes on the back of his head and the hairs on his neck stood up and he just knew Julie was watching him somewhere. "Ahh... umm ya know maybe I will take one." He took a cookie and then another, handing it to Molly. "Take a cookie." He whispered. "She's crazy." he didn't specify who. "Awesome." He gave Sasha a thumbs up and then pointed at Jerry like Uncle Sam. "Take a cookie and let's go. Sun guys need to protect these ladies and I'm sure Roar won't like you sitting around." With that definitive order he waved to the rest and headed out of the tent. He took a bite of his cookie and then immediately laughed out loud and threw his arm around Molly's shoulders as if it were no thing at all. [EXIT to PATROL ]

Michael gave Wash a little bit of an odd look because today had already gone way past what could be considered a-okay but hey that wasn't going to stop him from enjoying the cookie. He took a bite and suddenly he understood what Wash meant because everything was wonderful."Excellent to meet you! Im Michael, God bless you too!" he called after Wash as he continued his most noble mission to spread cookie love. Michael sighed happily as he saw other partake in the cookies before turning to the Mistress of Wonderfulness who had baked them, "You're the best for giving us these ma'am!" he called out to Julie, smiling goofily. Nuucha meanwhile was busy What The Jacking so hard that he'd actually started to spark a little. In reply Michael stood up and shouted, " I FEEL LIKE I SHOULD HUG EVERYONE! GROOOOUP HUUUUUG!"

Before walked into the tent right as someone yelled for hugs. Normally, Before would have been all ******** over that like white on rice, like butter on toast, like yeah you get the drift. But at the moment, all Before did was give the guy who'd called for the hug a quick pat on the shoulder, "Shoulda asked when we were on the Island," then quickly attempted to head out.

Sasha was beaming at Wash as she quickly downed the rest of her cookie. She fought the urge to just draw everyone up in a hug; instead, she figured it would be best to follow after Bix and the others. The sun was waiting, and the sand was sure to be warm! [EXIT to PATROL ]

They could get hugs?? The thought was so stunning to Sydney that she couldn't help the look of joy and surprise on her face. "I can get hugs?" she asked, sounding awed by that fact. Izy complained, groaning loudly. Syd ignored him as she headed for Michael to get her hug. She wrapped her arms around his waist for a moment, sighing happily.
Izy pointed out.

Jerry flushed as Sasha glowered, "I... I'm really fine, I swear..." He mumbled, but took the offered cookie all the same. s**t, s**t s**t, he knew better than to let stuff like that happen. Just... just keep your cool. "I... I'm coming, Bix. Just... just give me a..."He chewed the cookie slowly, brows knitting. Well, he certainly didn't feel like he was going to be sick anymore. In fact.... he was feeling a lot better. "I... I'm coming!" He called after Sasha, scrambling to his feet to hurry from the tent. Pausing and wobbling, with crumbs still on his chin, he blinked down at Rep still being sullen outside. Then he happily grabbed the red-head, hugging his head against his chest, "DON'T GET IN ANY FIGHTS OK? OK." And then bounded off after the others. "OR I WILL SING AGAIN!" Cookies solved all problems, clearly. [exit]

Aleister frowned and watching as Wilson helped him, he sighed, "I still don't like this." He said in a low voice. Having watched the guys start fighting and Julie to break it up. The moon hunter seemed a bit.... Aleister paused looking at Wilson and then back to Julie with a slight concerned expression.
He paused and glanced over to Sherry with a smile, "Yup thankfully." He was still a little shaken up over having actually been faced with TWO of those things.
He was still looking at Julie a bit concerned. "I-I'll be right back kay?"
He moved over to the moon hunter and gave a small wave, "Julie... Are you okay?" He asked curiously, hoping she wouldn't be upset with him checking on her. "They... uh didn't give you too much grief did they?"

He wasn't expecting the spontaneous hug, taken off guard before his usual violent reaction to any kind of unwanted contact kicked in. And before he could so much as think about punching him, Jerry was off again.
Blearily he raised a brow at the other man, shook his head and sighed with a weak smirk. Jerry was always just Jerry, there was very little point getting angry at him properly. Still, the hug was enough to remind him he probably shouldn't be sulking like this. It was still a mission, probably a last mission, and he still had a job to do.
Getting to his feet, he brushed sand off his denims and wandered off into the sands onto a patrol.
As he passed Cass, he very very fleetingly patted her on the shoulder. He was too proud to say thanks for the company.

She continued to say nothing even as the silence had lingered, not even breaking it with some humming or an attempt to strike up conversation or anything to just....impede on his thoughts, really.
However, she did look up when Jerry was finally on the scene, just smiling at the exchange between the two men. That had been amusing to see, and Jerry was always Jerry. Full of song and antics. It was kind of uplifting to see that kind of energy, however, and she pondered what she should have been doing next to help out.
When Rep patted her shoulder as he took his leave, she took that moment to pat the back of his hand, offering him a smile, but not moving to leave herself.
She wanted to stare out at the ocean of sand for a little while longer.
