Alyss turned around and noticed that Graham wasn't around. Shoot, this was the second time she lost sight of him! She frowned some, but figured that he was just in the area. She took a look down Route 2 before deciding that she had enough on her team for now. Besides, chances are the other Pokemon on this route wouldn't stay in the Poke ball like Xaxier. She thought, heading off towards Route 1.
Looking down the route, she noticed a trainer that she didn't recognize, and hey there was Graham! So that was where he wandered off to. Either that or she didn't hear him say that he was going back this way. "Hey there Graham! And who is this?" She asked, jogging over to the two.

"Oh, that's pretty cool." grinned Graham to Lee after hearing a bit about her island. "You must have gotten to see all sorts of people. Did you take on the gym while you were still there before you left on your journey? Did you play on the beach too? How were the waters? How were the hot springs? There's some hot springs in Hoenn. A town full of them. It's really famous for how therapeutically effective they are." Just then Alyss called out to them. Oh hey, he almost forgot about her. Graham thought she had followed after him, but apparently she didn't. Jeez, he'd need to get her on a kiddie leash or something so that they'd stop getting separated or something. "Alyss, this is Lee. Lee, this is Alyss." Graham said quickly, making introductions. He didn't say anything more after that, because a Ralts had caught his eye when Alyss had called out to them. Even though he already had one, having a second wouldn't hurt. But the catch was a fail and the Psychic-type ran away. Lame. Well, whatever. Her mother had died on a boat during a storm but she'd found her father. He was the former Champion of the Silver Conference and Lee had been unknowingly following in his footsteps for four years before she finally was considered an adult by islander tradition. Then she'd been given her mother's final belongings - the only things that hadn't been sold off - a journal and a picture of a man that Lee was the spitting image of. The poor man had gone pale with guilt when it was proven that the girl was his daughter, the result of a one-night-stand. "I took on the Orange League after I beat all the gyms in the Indigo League gyms. Then after I beat the Orange League I won Indigo and took on the Johto League. I'm not a Champion though," Lee said quickly, "I'm just a League Winner. "Ah. At least you found one of your parents and he's still alive." said Graham. The conversation had taken a sullen dip from there, though the next quick bit from Lee was interesting. "Oh, that's cool. Congrats on your wins even though it's a tad late." he added. He always wanted to know someone who went and won one of the Pokemon Leagues. And now he knew someone. Maybe he should try his hand at it and see if he could win this region's, just to have some great stories to tell his little brother back home. A Sentret wandered by, but a Nature Power (Seed Bomb, due to tall grass) scared it off. Lee was happy that the man wanted her to be part of his life and even more so that he returned the feelings. "Thanks. I'm not trying to really win anything this thing though. It's just a break from school for a little while and then I'm going to have to intern somewhere. If I do win it then it won't feel the same as last time." Forcing the pang that came whenever she thought of her first team - thinking of them as her "real" team would do her no good - made her start walking again. OOC: RNGing for level. Post # 17***** Her walking led her (she didn't stop to see if Graham or Alyss was following) away from the main route. The grass was still low, barely at her waist, so she wasn't afraid of any truly strong wild Pokemon suddenly attacking her. A Bidoof wandered into her path and stood there watching her warily for a creature more commonly called "Bederp" by most people who knew of it. Ah so that person was Lee. She waved towards Lee, and continued to listen to the two talk. She didn't have much to say anyways, since her mind was elsewhere. Though it seemed the other two were deciding to go off and do some training. She opened her mouth to say something but the two were off, so she decided to follow them.

Graham watched as Lee challenged a Bidoof (he got the Pokedex data on it while watching the girl fight), and he smiled when she caught it. "Congrats on the new teammate." he grinned cheerfully. "Here's hoping I find something worthwhile too~" Alyss was still with them, so he took a moment to check up on her as she looked through the grass. Looked like she was doing okay. He turned and encountered an Audino. He battled the Pokemon to weaken it to try and capture it using Lucius, but the Audino got away when he used the Pokemon and fainted from another Tackle. "Shoot. Post # 20 LEVEL UP ***** She stumbled across a Hoothoot in her haste. Was it the same bird from before? Lee didn't know and didn't think to stop to find out. Instead she just let Twiggy keep his momentum from the sudden run as he turned it into a Tackle attack. Poochy strained at the rope around his neck - his Trainer would worry about leash manners after the battle. Lee threw a Pokeball as quickly as possible while Twiggy kept the Hoothoot distracted. An echoing crack and a few tense seconds later confirmed the catch with a pleasant dinging sound. The young woman laughed and hopped in place before rushing forward to scoop Twiggy and the ball up. She danced around in a circle and Poochy, despite his earlier reservations about his new mistress, did so as well. You'll get stronger as we go." Standing and dusting herself back off Lee made her way back to her latest traveling companions. "It's fine." said Graham with a shrug. "I already have a full team with me so there's nothing I can really do with one more Pokemon if I only have one more Pokeball to begin with." He looked around some more before the grass rustled. Out came a Zigzagoon. Was it really worth trying to catch the little guy? He could try. "Lucius, it's showtime!" he said, releasing the little lion cub. The Shinx and the Zigzagoon duked it out, exchanging Tackles like it was bumper cars or something. Since Lucius's Intimidate had lowered the Zigzagoon's Attack power, he wasn't taking as much damage. Graham was about to use a Pokeball, but then the cub KO'd the Zigzagoon. So much for that. He heard Lee come back and grinned. "Congrats on catching a Hoothoot. Lucius jumped out of Graham's arms and pounced on the unsuspecting Taillow stretching its wings. It was over pretty quickly, as the Electric-type caught it off guard with a critical hit. "Uh... awesome. But don't attack things randomly.
